Chapter 12 – A Mystic Dragon.
Staring down at the soldier infested cave ahead of him, Kazuki let go of Rei's hand and clenched his fist. He turned around and handed her 2 pills. "Take these with you."
"What are these for?" She closely studied the pills, they seemed like regular old candy.
"I've compressed some of my regeneration into 2 substances, these pills right here. If you receive a fatal wound, take one right away, it will regenerate you as if I were doing it." He explained.
"That's neat, when did you learn to do that?"
"A few months ago, came across a blonde alchemist with a prosthetic arm and leg, I picked up everything on alchemy from him. Offered to regenerate his missing limbs."
"Did he say yes?"
"Nah, gave some speech about how a man must make his own road, I couldn't help but laugh, dude is no taller than my chest." Kazuki snickered and Rei chuckled.
"I wish I was there; did you catch his name?"
"Elich? Elchich? No wait, it was something Elrich I think." He struggled to recall the name of the mysterious individual. Their smiles slowly faded, there was no more time for small talk, it was time for action.
"I guess it's time." Rei broke the silence, powering up, ready to launch into battle. She would have to clear her mind, as much as she hated death, this was war, people will get killed.
"Buy me just enough time to deal with the main force and then Rassimov, after they've been knocked out, I can come and help you."
"Why don't we just use a unison raid and take out the foot soldiers now?"
"Because I'm trying not to kill them."
Rei was shocked, after all of Kazuki's talk of wanting to kill the cult, he was suddenly backing out? "Why the change of heart?" She asked.
"Because I met you again, I don't wanna touch you with the hands of a murderer ever again."
Rei smiled and kissed his cheek. "There's one more thing you could do for me."
"I know, already working on it." He smirked, powering up as well, the couple looked at each-other and nodded, within a flash, Rei had charged in, blasting the foot soldiers with her signature green lightning, blowing away hundreds of soldiers. Using the commotion to his advantage, Kazuki flew into the cage via the hole he had made earlier. Landing right in front of Kiel who had just recovered.
"I'm surprised you're still alive, I thought for sure that your clan would have been erased after I escaped." Kazuki told Kiel.
"Oh they were, all thanks to you escaping."
"Not my fault your father was a useless guard, who would pick that obese child-rapist as a guard?"
"I agree, the shame he brought upon me, I was the one who incinerated him. I wasn't done with just him though, I burnt every guard to a crisp for their failure."
"And that's why you and I are going to have a problem, those guards were my prey, that you stole." Kazuki glared at Kiel, the pressure from his power was crushing Kiel's body.
"Don't worry, you can have your revenge, in hell!" Kiel yelled as he blasted Kazuki with flames. "My cursed flames are special, they cannot be blocked or avoided."
"Is that so?" Kazuki taunted as the flames disappeared, in front of Kazuki was an orange transparent wall, 1 meter thick. "Your flames have met their match; nothing can get past my defence."
"A Danku barrier isn't going to be enough to save you." Kiel smirked, right on cue, the barrier cracked and blew apart. "I told you, nothing can block them."
Kazuki studied the damage done to his barrier, assessing the energy levels of the flames and the stances Kiel used. 'I need him to blast me with everything he's got.' He pointed his left arm towards Kiel and cast a spell. "Gravity core." Kiel's body was brought down against the ground with tremendous pressure, bending his bones. "If I can't block your flames, then I'll just settle for crushing your body with gravity, I'll slowly raise the gravity level 1 by 1, until every bone in your body breaks."
"Curse you…" Kiel struggled to talk; his heart was dangerously close to crashing down on his ribcage.
"Alternatively, you can surrender. You were about to kill Rei, but I can get past that. Don't make me kill you if I don't have to."
"Heh! You just told me something interesting, your threats are empty, you can't kill me, can you? The council have forbidden it, haven't they?" He laughed, despite his pain.
"I don't remember saying that", Kazuki raised the gravity level from 1 to 5, crushing 23 of Kiel's bones. "I was going to arrest you, and have you thrown in prison for the rest of your sorry life, but I can always cut things short. You're just a pig waiting to be butchered." Kazuki mocked him, causing Kiel to enrage, he engulfed his body in flames and slowly got up, struggling against the gravity overwhelming him and his broken bones.
"All you do is talk." Kiel folded his arms together and powered up as much as he could, "I'll burn you alive." The cave had begun shaking with pressure, Kiel unfolded his hands and aimed them directly at Kazuki. "True Cursed Flame Magic: Blighted Inferno!" He screamed, blasting a storm of screaming orange flames towards Kazuki.
Kazuki smiled and let the full impact of the flames engulf him, within an instant, he was centred around them. "Just what I was waiting for." He smirked, opening his mouth, and consuming all the fire burning around him. Kiel could only watch in confusion; his special flames were being devoured?
"How… How did you?"
"You took out Fairy Tail alone didn't you? My friends were still suffering from their burns, I'll show how hot fire really burns." Kazuki walked forward, orange dragon scales appearing on his face. "Cursed Flame Dragon: ROAR!" He shouted, blasting dark orange flames at Kiel. Causing the entire cave to explode. Once the commotion died down, Kiel was laying in front of Kazuki, his body completely singed, but he was still alive. Kazuki restrained him with bane particle hand cuffs.
He left Kiel and made his way through the cave, tracking down the smell of nearest Blood-Force member, Tantras, the old man who had trained Kiel and the other 2 members of the Blood-Force. Tantras had complete mastery over Storm Magic, Kazuki was going to have to beat him in 1 move, the longer the fight drags out, the stronger Tantras' storms get. "1 down, 4 more to go. Hang in there Rei, I'm coming."
He stopped when he spotted an old man white long white hair, brown skin, and cold red eyes in his way. He was wearing a white robe with a brown scarf and a wooden staff. Kazuki moved closer to the man, "It's been a while, Tantras."
"Subject 7. I heard the commotion earlier, what was that?"
"That was just the sound of your precious student having his ego checked."
"You beat Kiel!?"
"It was easier than I thought."
"You'll pay for your insolence!" Tantras screamed as he blasted red wind laced with orange lightning at Kazuki. "Cursed Storm!"
Kazuki raised his arm and brang it down in rapid speed, the brute force causing wind to blast towards Tantras' storm spell. The two winds collided and cancelled each other out.
"Impossible, you countered my magic with physical movement?" Tantras was in disbelief; there's no way physical abilities could out do magic.
"I'm just getting started." Kazuki teleported right in from of Tantras and clapped his hands together and his physique glowed with green lightning, "this one's for Rei." His body continued to glow brighter and brighter, the strength of his energy heavily weighed on Tantras, forcing him to struggle to move.
"Stop… Let's talk about this!" He pleased for his life, fear overwhelming his shaking eyes.
"Lighting make: Chariot of the prince!" A chariot of 4 horses being ridden by a knight in the form of green lightning appeared before Kazuki, "Take him out." He pointed at Tantras and gave his command, the lighting chariot charged at the screaming old man, causing a massive explosion of green lightning. When the magic energy cleared along with the smoke, Tantras was laying on the ground, bloodied and unconscious. "That was Rei's spell, she developed it during the 2 months cruise we went on." Kazuki walked forward and restrained him just as he had done with Kiel.
"Just 3 left now, it only gets harder from here." Kazuki took a deep breath, Tantras and Kiel were just children when compared to the remaining 2 of the Blood-Force. The next 2 will be a challenge. Kazuki powered up and rushed towards the remaining two, he had to take them and Rassimov out as soon as possible so he could aid Rei. "I'm coming Rei."
