...

"Please follow me, we shouldn't be wasting anytime." They all nodded to the spirit's words and walked behind her as she led them through the beauty that was the Spirit World.

Finally Janan stopped in front of an enormous tree and turned to humans. "We're here."

They all looked at each other with confused faces. "A tree?" Sokka asked while scratching his head with his index finger.

"Not just a tree," Janan then walked through the bark and the friends followed. Once they entered they saw many artifacts surround them.

"What is this place?" Suki asked in awe. "For thousands of years many of these artifacts have been created by spirits in order to fight wars, bring justice, and other deeds. And now they will be used by you all, to restore balance. Feel free to pick whichever one you like." The light spirit explained.

The group all looked around at all of the different weapons thinking of what to pick. Sokka walked around and stopped to look at a sword with a watertribe insignia on the pommel and symbols written on the scabbard.

"What's this weapon?" he asked the great spirit. "That is Shisui. It is a sword created by the water spirits. Its name translates to "water stopper." It has the ability to cut through water and can do much harm to its opponents." Sokka held a thinking position with his hand on his chin. "I'll go with this one."

"Very well." The spirit then walked over to Suki who was examining what looked to be a fan. "That is the Tessen. It is a hand fan made of steel designed for warfare. The blades on the back that support the fan can be very useful in combat. Will this be your weapon of choice?" Suki looked at the fan once more and smiled with certainty, "Yes."

A set of dual swords caught Zuko's eyes. They had grips and blades with very unusual shapes and colors. The hilts of the swords were entirely made out of gold. And the blades had an ombré effect that went from a scarlet red to a canary yellow. It was as if you were looking at a flame through a sword.

"What's the name of this weapon?" The firelord asked with curiosity. "I see you found the Moeru ha. These blades were crafted by some of the most powerful fire spirits to ever exist. These swords have the ability to burn the opponents it touches, so if this is your weapon of choice, be careful when using them."

"I'll take them." Zuko responded with certainty. The spirit nodded and turned to find that the waterbender hadn't chosen a weapon yet. "Katara come with me."

Katara followed Janan to a podium that held a porcelain vase with ancient drawings of spirits. "What is this?" she asked while scanning through the illustrations. "This is the Seishin Keimusho. This vase has the power to take capture of any spirit no matter how powerful, and it currently holds many of them. You will use this vase to capture Seth, the dark spirit of souls."

The waterbender's eyes widened to the spirit's words, "What?" Janan took hold of the vase, "Katara, Seth has broken more rules than I can count. And he committed a crime when he made the choice to go after the Avatar. Because of him the balance of both the Physical and Spiritual World is now in danger. He must pay for his crimes by being held in this vase for the rest of eternity."

Katara's mouth opened slightly, "I understand, but are you sure I should be the one to do it? I mean wouldn't it be better if you did it? Cause I could end up dropping it and letting all those spirits loose."

The light spirit gave Katara a soft smile. "Because of those rules that I mentioned, I am not allowed to enter the dark side of the Spirit World. That is why I called you all here. And if you are indeed Katara of the Southern Watertribe, waterbending master, who helped end the hundred year war at the age of fourteen, I believe you are the best person for this job."

Katara smiled back to Janan and took hold of the vase as the spirit handed it to her and placed it in her satchel. "So what other weapon will you be using on your mission?"

Katara scattered the room and spotted a bow and arrow. It wasn't like any bow she'd ever seen before, the string seemed to be made out of gold. The handle was made out of the finest wood and had very unique carvings. The arrows' tips seemed to be made out of fine steel. She walked over and saw letters carved into the bow's handle that translated to "B and H."

"That is the Aigong Bow, it is actually much different from the rest of the weapons here because it was actually crafted by humans, Bik and Hai. They were a couple who fought in many battles side by side. One day however Hai was killed in battle, leaving Bik devastated. However their love was so strong that it caused a spirit to entered the bow and help Bik get justice for her partner's death. The bow then gained special abilities, it never misses it's target."

Katara heard the story and couldn't help but think of Aang. She grew a smile and turned to the spirit, "I'll take it."

"Very well. Now that you all have your weapons I believe it's time that I explain the plan." They all gathered together to listen to Janan.

"I will lead you all to the entrance of the dark side of the Spirit World. Once you enter you will continue to walk until you reach Seth's cave. Trust me you won't be able to miss it. When you reach the cave you must be careful because there could be dark spirits in all corners. Since they all are conspiring with Seth, you will not be held accountable for killing them. When you get rid of all of his minions you should find him in the main part of his cave in his... "throne"." Janan stopped to roll her eyes.

"My sources tell me that he will be hiding the Arca Linghun, where the Avatar's soul is being held, in a small prison near the main room. I suggest that two of you go find the box while Katara and the other person capture Seth in the Seishin Keimusho. The quicker you get out of there the better. If all goes as planned you should meet with me again at the entrance of the border between the light and dark side with the Arca Linghun. I will then explain the rest of the plan and how to get the Avatar's soul back in his physical body."

The group all nodded in understanding to the light spirit's plan. "However, I believe it would be best if you all rest now and continue your mission tomorrow with more energy."

Katara laid in her sleeping bag and kept changing positions unable to sleep. She then felt a tap on her shoulder.

"Psst! Katara, are you sleeping?" She rolled her eyes to the sound of her brother's voice. "Yes Sokka, sleeping like a baby."

"I'm worried about tomorrow." He confessed and she then sat up to face him with a frown. "Yeah, me too. I'm scared of what might happen to us while we're there."

"Hey at least you'll be able to see Aang again, that's good right?" Sokka said trying to lighten the mood, but it somehow made Katara's face look even more worried. "Katara, what's wrong?"

"I'm scared of seeing Aang again," she confessed with a sob in her voice. "Scared? What could you possibly be scared of? He's all you've talked about for the past year and aren't you two like the perfect couple or whatever?"

Katara then began to shed some tears, "Sokka I haven't told anyone this, but Aang and I weren't on the best terms when he disappeared."

"What? What happened?" he asked with much surprise. "Well last time we were together, we got into this really really big argument. And I said a lot of really hurtful things that I didn't mean." She began to have more tears filling her voice. "And I don't think he knows I didn't mean them. Because he disappeared before I could tell him that. And all of this time, those words are probably the only thing he's taught of when he thinks of me."

The waterbender kept trying to breathe but found it hard to find the air to. "I don't know how I'm going to talk to him when or if he comes back. And even worse, I don't know how the hell I'm going to tell him about Liang!"

Sokka then came close and hugged her tightly. "It's going to be okay, trust me. And telling him about Liang shouldn't be too hard." Katara let go of the embrace and started to complain in a sarcastic tone, "Oh really? Ok let's try it, Hey Aang! So you've been gone for like a year! And I know I said some bad stuff last time we talked but I really didn't mean it. So please forgive me. Also small little detail, we may or may not have a daughter together. So how have you been?"

Sokka then had a grimacing look on his face. "Yeah, I see your point." Katara made an ugh sound and fell back in her sleeping bag.

"Look I just think that things will turn out okay in the end. So for right now we should just focus on getting him back. Then you two can figure your crap out." The warrior said in a hopeful tone.

The waterbender raised an eyebrow at him, "When did you become the optimistic one, and I the realistic one?"

He looked up and began to think about it for a minute, "Hey you're right! I want my personality back!"

Katara chuckled to his comment and he smiled back. "Okay, now get some sleep so you're not tired tomorrow."

"And now you're bossing me around! Man, Aang really needs to come back!" she joked.
