It was Quirrell.
"You!" Harry gasped in surprise. Quirrell smiled, his face lacked his usual twitching.
"Me." Quirrell responds calmly. "I'd wondered if I would be meeting you and your little vampire here, Potter."
"My- vampire?" Harry says, looking at Alucard, who hadn't taken his eyes off Quirrell. "But - I thought - Snape- not you-"
"Severus?" Quirrell laughs, a cold and sharp sound. "Yes, he does seem the type doesn't he? Although, you never seemed to suspect him, Juvatich. Your senses are as sharp as ever."
"I can smell a lie as easily as I smell blood." Alucard snarls.
"But Snape tried to kill me!" Harry says, not believing what was happening. "During the Quidditch match!"
"Snape was using the counter-curse." Alucard says. "Quirrell was using the curse."
"Oh, yes, very good!" Quirrell says, a cruel glee in his voice. "I tried to kill you, but Miss Granger accidently knocked me over as she rushed to set fire to Snape at the match."
"She broke your eye contact, without that and Snape, you would've succeeded." Alucard says.
"Of course, I would of had him off the broom in a couple of seconds anyway. I would have succeeded earlier, as Juvatich said, if Snape wasn't trying to save you." Quirrell says.
"Snape was trying to save me?" Harry asks in surprise.
"Obviously." Quirrell responds coolly. "Why do you think he wanted to referee your next match? He was making sure I didn't do it again. It's funny, really... He didn't have to bother... Not with Dumbledore watching, I couldn't do anything anyway. Everyone just assumed he was trying to stop Gryffindor winning. But what a waste, as I'm going to kill you both tonight." Quirrell snaps his fingers as ropes appear from nowhere and try to wrap around Harry and Alucard.
Alucard reacts quickly and points his wand at the ropes. "Reducto!" the ropes burst into dust as Alucard grabs Harry and puts him behind a pillar.
"Ah, that's one of the reasons I couldn't get the Stone even earlier. This vampire was always in the way, just as nosy as you, Potter, and much more dangerous." Quirrell muses, sounding annoyed. Then spells started to fly out.
"Stupify." Quirrell starts, a blast of red missing Alucard who responds quickly.
"Bombarda Maxima!" Alucard yells, creating an explosion right in front of Quirrel, right before waving his wand at the small stones he created with the blast. "Draconifors!" The rocks turn into tiny dragons that all start rushing Quirrell, spewing tiny blasts of fire.
Quirrell calmly waves his wand a few times, destroying the tiny dragons within seconds. "Confringo, Diffindo, Crucio." Quirrell snaps out the spells quickly, forcing Alucard to dodge the incoming bolts of magic, with no time to counter. He ducks behind a pillar.
Alucard then climbs the pillar while Quirrell keeps blasting it with spells, looking almost bored. Alucard climbs onto the roof and stands upside down and aims at Quirrell.
"Petrificus Totalus, Expelliarmus, Confundo! Alucard says, moving around the roof quickly to not allow Quirrell to retaliate. Quirrell looks up and quickly throws up a shield before blasting more spells at Alucard, making the roof shift and try to grab Alucard, fire appear from nowhere and the rubble to pelt Alucard's skin. Harry is forced to watch in wonder at the battle between the two, feeling really outclassed.
"I tire of this." Quirrell says, waving his wand. The entire roof shifts before spikes erupt out of it randomly, followed by ropes and chains that reach out and try to ensnare Alucard. Alucard meanwhile ducks, rolls and runs out of the way as fast as he can, using spells as a last resort to escape. "Be still." The ground around Quirrell cracks before chunks launch up at Alucard and pin him to the roof, where chains and ropes cover the top of the rubble, Quirrell waves his wand again and the rubble starts pushing tighter against Alucard. "Now, for Potter." Quirrell says, snapping his finger again, creating ropes that fly out of the pillar and tie Harry up.
"Now, wait quietly, you two. I need to examine this interesting mirror." Quirrell says, turning around. This was the first time the two of them realised the Mirror of Erised was there. "This mirror is the key to find the Stone. Trust Dumbledore to think of something like this, but he's away for now... I'll be long gone by the tie he gets back."
"I saw you and Snape in the Forest-" Harry blurts out, trying to distract Quirrell.
"Yes." Quirrell says, walking around the Mirror to look at its back. "He was on to me at that time, trying to learn what I knew. He suspected me the longest. He tried to frighten me - as though he could, when I have Lord Voldemort on my side..." Harry racks his brain for something to say while Quirrell comes to see the front of the Mirror again, now staring hungrily into it.
"I see the Stone... I'm presenting it to the Dark Lord... but how do I get it?" Quirrell muses.
"But Snape seemed to always hate me so much." Harry says.
"Oh, he does." Quirrell says casually. "Heavens, yes. He was at Hogwarts with your father, didn't you know? They loathed each other, but he wouldn't want you dead."
"We heard you." Alucard says from the ceiling. "A few days ago, sobbing - thought someone had just threatened you." A spasm of fear flits across Quirrell's face at these words.
"Sometimes, I find it hard to follow my master's instructions." Quirrell says quietly. "He is a great wizard, and I am weak-"
"You mean he was in the classroom with you?" Harry gasps.
"He is with me wherever I go." Quirrell explains. "I met him when I travelled around the world. I was still a foolish young man, full of ridiculous ideas about good and evil. Lord Voldemort showed me how wrong I was, there is no good and evil. There is only power, and those too weak to seek it... Since then, I have served him faithfully, although I make many mistakes. He has been very hard on me. When I failed to steal the Stone from Gringotts, he was most displeased... He punished me - decided he needed to keep a closer watch on me." Quirrell's voice trails off at the end. Quirrell then cursed under his breath.
"I don't understand - is the Stone inside the Mirror? Should I break it?" Quirrell says, talking to himself.
'I need to find the Stone before him! If I look in the Mirror, will it show me where it is?" Alucard thinks while trying to look into the Mirror from above, but the angle was too steep to look into it properly, he then notices Harry trying to lean around the pillar to look into the Mirror. Quirrell ignored the two of them completely.
"What does this mirror do? How does it work? Help me, Master!" Quirrell cries out. To both the boys horror, a voice answers from Quirrell himself.
"Use the boy... use the boy..." The voice says, Quirrell spins to face Harry.
"Yes - Potter - come here." Quirrell says, pointing his wand at Harry, who was the dragged to Quirrell and the ropes binding him fell off allowing him to stand. "Look into the Mirror and tell me what you see." Harry looked into the Mirror.
'I have to lie." Harry thought desperately. 'I have to look in and lie about what I see.'
Quirrell moved to stand behind Harry, allowing Harry to smell the weird scent that hung around his turban. He looked into the Mirror and saw his reflection, pale and scared-looking first. Then the reflection smiled. It put its hand into its pocket and pulled out a blood-red stone. It winked then put its hand back into its pocket - and as it did so, Harry felt something heavy drop into his real pocket. Somehow - he'd got the Stone.
Alucard watches in silence as Harry stands in front of the Mirror, with nothing happening, until suddenly something appears in one of Harry's pockets. Alucard was at the perfect angle to see the pocket bulge and something blood-red inside, he smiled at the sight. Harry got the Stone.
"Well? What do you see?" Quirrell asks him impatiently. Harry screwed up his courage.
"I see Alucard and myself leaving here safely, and I can't see you anywhere." Harry semi-invents. Quirrell cursed.
"Get out of the way." Quirrell demands, Harry walks out of the way, barely making it five paces when the voice spoke again.
"He lies... he lies..." It says, making Quirrell whirl around to face Harry.
"Potter come back here!" Quirrell shouts. "Tell me the truth! What did you see?"
"Let me speak to them... face to face..." The voice says.
"Master, you are not strong enough!" Quirrell responds, sounding almost concerned.
"I have strength enough... for this..." The voice answers. Harry and Alucard froze in place as Quirrell reached up and began to unwrap his turban. It fell to the ground, Alucard felt like his stomach was going to break with how much it was moving. Quirrell's head looked strangely small without the turban, but the worst part was the fact that there was another face on the back of his head.
The face was chalk white with slits for nostrils and bright, glaring red eyes. Quirrell turned around so the head was facing Harry.
"Harry Potter..." The voice/ face whispers. "See what I have become? Mere shadow and vapour... I only have form only when I can share another's body... but there have always been those willing to let me into their hearts and minds... Unicorn blood has strengthened me, these past weeks... you both saw faithful Quirrell drinking it for me in the Forest... and once I have the Elixir of Life, I will be able to create a body of my own... Now... Why don't you give me that Stone in your pocket?"
Harry stumbles backwards, away from Voldemort and Quirrell.
"Don't be a fool..." Voldemort snarls. "Better save your own life and join me, I might even allow the vampire to live... unless, you want to meet the same end as your parents? They died begging for mercy..."
"LIAR!" Harry shouts in return, Alucard notices the rock holding him down loosens slightly. Quirrell started walking backwards towards Harry, so that Voldemort could still see Harry. Quirrell's eyes were on Alucard, but his attention was split between walking, Voldemort's words and Alucard.
"How touching..." Voldemort hisses. "I always valued bravery... Your parents were brave, Boy... I killed your father first, he put up a courageous fight... but, your mother needn't have died... she was trying to protect you... Now give me the Stone, unless you want her to have died in vain."
"NEVER!" Harry cries defiantly. Harry then bolts towards the flame door.
"SEIZE HIM!" Voldemort shouts at Quirrell, who turns and rushes after Harry, losing focus on Alucard. Alucard takes advantage of it by waving his wand in the gap he had.
"Bombarda Maxima." He mutters quietly. A oud bang announces his escape as Quirrell grabs Harry's wrist. Alucard blasts down from the roof to dropkick Voldemort in the face as Quirrell lets go of Harry with a cry of pain, his wand flying out of the way.
"Seize him! SEIZE HIM!" Voldemort was shrieking, Quirrell was flat on the ground, looking at his blistering hand. Quirrell though was quick to obey as he lunged at Harry and Alucard. Alucard responds by punching Quirrell in the chest, his fist creating a crack sound upon impact. Quirrell was launched away, Voldemort screaming the whole way.
"Kill them both! Kill them!" Voldemort was screaming, Quirrell quickly tried to obey and raised his hand, still wandless, and was forced to jump out of the way as fire flew over the area where he just was. Quirrell looks at the source to find Alucard, standing in front of Harry protectively.
"You'll have to get through me to get to him." Alucard declares, right before he starts stringing together spell after spell, muttering so fast Harry could barely hear what he said.
"Reducto... Stupify... Draconifors..." Were some of the spells he heard Alucard use, watching in slight awe as the ground was destroyed and stones few up, only to fly at Quirrell or turn into tiny dragons that then added to the fire flying around. Quirrell was barely able to protect himself with his wandless magic, and waas soon overwhelmed by a final blast of fire from Alucard's wand.
Quirrell fell to the ground, unmoving and Alucard slowly relaxed, still watching Quirrell's body, panting lightly. Alucard then snaps back to attention as a type of vapour rises from Quirrell's body.
"You!" It screeches in Voldemort's voice. "I'll get my revenge on both of you!" The vapour then flies at them, ignoring the next string of spells completely. It then flies through Alucard, making him retch and hunch over, before crashing through Harry, who retched then fell weakly to his knees, unconscious.
Alucard barely stays conscious and moves to check on Harry, when a hand suddenly lands on his shoulder. He spins around, ready to cast a spell before seeing who it was. Alucard smiles then passes out in the person's ancient arms.
Alucard then woke up with a start, jumping out of the bed he was in onto the roof, much to the amusement of his bedside guest.
"It's alright, Mr Juvatich, no need to be on guard." Dumbledore says, with a small smile and a twinkle in his eye.
"There's always a reason to be on guard." Alucard tells him bluntly. "You never know when someone will try to prank you." Dumbledore laughs and nods.
"That is very true, but you need not worry about a prank from me." Dumbledore reassures Alucard, wo drops from the ceiling to stand next to his bed. "It seems you are alright after your adventure?"
"Physically at least." Alucard agrees, stretching his limbs to check if he can find any problem. "I'm hungry though."
"Madam Pomfrey tried to open your mouth to feed you, but your jaw muscles proved superior in a contest of strength." Dumbledore explains, sounding amused as he handed a goblet that most definitely there a few seconds ago. Alucard happily drinks from it.
"So, what happened to the Stone?" Alucard asks, looking around and noticing Harry on the next bed. "And Quirrell?"
"The Stone is safe, and going to be destroyed in a short period of time." Dumbledore says. "You've been asleep for nearly a day now."
"And Quirrell?" Alucard asks again.
"Uh, I wanted to avoid it for a little longer, but you seem bent on finding out." Dumbledore says, losing some of his humour.
"You're avoiding the question." Alucard states. "I burnt Quirrell with a large blast of fire, I saw the burns. He's dead, right?" Dumbledore sighs then nods slowly.
"But, not because of his burns." Dumbledore informs Alucard, who looks at him in surprise. "When Voldemort left his body he took the last of Quirrell's life, killing him."
"That makes me feel a little better, I guess..." Alucard says. "Voldemort will return." Alucard doesn't ask, merely states a fact.
"Alas, I do not believe he can die, not yet. So, yes he will, one day." Dumbledore says somberly. "But, we shouldn't dwell on thought such as those, come have some of the snacks your admirers left you." Dumbledore says, gesturing to a pile of gifts, most being blood flavoured or themed. "I do believe your popularity has returned, at least by a small margin."
"Good enough." Alucard says, grabbing a blood lollipop and reading the note attached:
To: Alucard
Hope you get well soon, didn't know if you could eat normal food so I got this from Hogsmeade.
From: Cedric
"Huh, didn't know these were sold there." Alucard says as he sucks on it. "By the way." Alucard says, regaining Dumbledore's attention, which was on a bat hanging outside the window. "When is Harry going to wake up?"
"Madam Pomfrey said he would wake up two days from now. Although, I will send for you when he does begin to stir." Dumbledore says as Madam Pomfrey walks in.
"What are you doing out of bed?" She demands, walking over quickly. "You should still be in bed! What if there was something wrong with you?"
"Madam Pomfrey, I'm fine!" Alucard says, ducking one of her arms. "I woke up and jumped to the roof, and I don't hurt anywhere."
"I can attest to the fact that he did, in fact, jump up to the roof." Dumbledore agrees. "But, one last check up should suffice."
"Okay, but if I find anything even slightly wrong, you're staying in this bed until Mr Potter leaves." Madam Pomfrey says, waving her wand at Alucard.
"That seems like overkill to me." Alucard says, earning a slight glare.
"There seems to be no problem, except he is slightly hungry. Make sure to take a double serving at Dinner, and you'll be fine." Madam Pomfrey says. "You may leave."
"Do you need me for anything, Professor?" Alucard asks Dumbledore, who rose from his seat.
"No, nothing at the moment." Dumbledore replies with a smile. "I'll send your get-well gifts to your dorm." He waves his hand and the vanish with a small pop.
"House elves are so cool." Alucard says, before vanishing himself.
"He gets faster every time I see him." Dumbledore muses. "I wonder if he'll eventually be so fast even I can't see him?"
"Oh, heavens, I hope not. Imagine the pranks he'd commit. He only stops himself because the teachers can actually spot him running away." Madam Pomfrey says, shaking her head.
Alucard climbs through the portrait hole into the common room, where he finds about half of Gryffindor house. The room was strangely quiet.
"Who died?" Alucard asks, making everyone's head snap to look at him. There was a pause before Fred yelled from somewhere.
"We thought you died, Mr Vampire!" He yells, making Alucard grin.
"I've told you before, I can't die if I wasn't alive to begin with!" Alucard says jokingly, right before he was tackled by a bushy blur of brown hair, the tackle didn't move him in the slightest. "Aw, did someone miss me?" He teases Hermione, who was trying to squeeze him to death.
"I sent your owl to Dumbledore, but he arrived as we rushed back to the third-floor. He asked if you two had gone, then rushed off himself. We didn't know what was happening when Dumbledore returned with you and Harry floating behind him, unconscious." Hermione explains, tears threatening to fall. "We thought you had died, he and Madam Pomfrey wouldn't allow us to enter the Infirmary."
"You think someone like me would die so easily?" Alucard asks her. "I've still got a couple thousand years in me!"
"Prat." Hermione says, hitting him as she lets go.
"You should see my dad at home, always talking about how he is only a couple thousand years young." Alucard says, glancing at the approaching Ron. "Even though he's one of the oldest of us."
"Are you actually a vampire?" Ron asks timidly. Alucard looks at him.
"Duh, how else would I be so awesome?" Alucard retorts. "You need proof?" Alucard asks before opening his mouth as his canines start growing then shrinking.
"That's freaky." Ron says, watching with fascination.
"I know right! Imagine what it felt like the first time I did it!" Alucard says, shivering slightly. "That was weird." He says, getting laughs from around the room.
"So, is the vampire going to do any pranks to send the year of with a bang?" George asks him, walking to the group with Fred.
"Oh, maybe, I just need to know one thing." Alucard answers, the twins lean in. "Who's winning the House Cup?"
Alucard and Dumbledore sat waiting for Harry to wake up, one on each side of his bed.
"I just think it would be slightly terrifying to wake up to an old man and the person you just learnt was a vampire staring at you." Alucard says, although he doesn't make a move to change seats.
"I suppose it could be." Dumbledore agrees, also not moving. Harry slowly stirs, blinking as he does so.
"Good afternoon, Harry." Dumbledore says, smiling gently. Harry stares at him then at Alucard, then suddenly starts yelling.
"Wait! Voldemort, the Stone!" Harry yells, looking at Dumbledore. "Quick, he's got the-"
"Harry." Alucard says, putting a hand on Harry's shoulder to shut him up. "He doesn't have the Stone."
"Then who does?" Harry asks, looking around quickly.
"Harry, please calm down, or Madam Pomfrey will throw us both out." Dumbledore says. Harry looks around, just noticing where he was, and the giant pile of sweets next to him. "Tokens from your friends and admirers." Dumbledore explains, seeing where Harry's eyes had landed.
"What happened in the dungeons is a complete secret." Alucard says. "So, obviously everyone is talking about it, and have been for the last two days straight."
"I believe Misters Fred and George Weasley tried to send you a lavatory seat, hoping to amuse you I presume. Madam Pomfrey, however, felt that it might not be too hygienic, and confiscated it." Dumbledore says, cheering Harry up a little.
"And that is exactly why." Alucard says, pulling something out of his pocket. "I have it right here." Alucard shows off a miniature toilet seat, handing it to Harry, making Harry chuckle while Alucard has a grin in place.
"So, how long have I been here?" Harry asks Dumbledore.
"Three days, I believe your friends will be quite glad you have come round, they were very worried." Dumbledore says.
"And the Stone?" Harry asks.
"Voldemort could not acquire the Stone in his incorporeal state. I must praise both of you for being able to handle the situation so well." Dumbledore explains calmingly. "I arrived just as Voldemort's spirit fled, defeated."
"You got there? You got Hermione's owl?" Harry asks Dumbledore quickly.
"I did get a letter from an owl as I arrived at Hogwarts, was that you four?" Dumbledore asks curiously.
"We sent Hermione to get Ron out, then send my owl to you." Alucard explains.
"Ah, that was a clever plan." Dumbledore comments before turning to Harry. "As for the Stone, it has been destroyed."
"Destroyed?" Harry asks, obviously confused. "But your friend, Nicolas Flamel-"
"Oh, you know about Nicolas?" Dumbledore asks, sounding delighted. "You did do it properly, didn't you. Nicolas and I had a little chat and decided it was for the best."
"That means he and his life will die, doesn't it?" Harry asks.
"They have enough Elixir in storage to set their affairs in order. And then, yes, they will die." Dumbledore explains, smiling at the look of amazement on Harry's face. "I'm sure it seems strange, to one as young as you, but to people like Nicolas, Perenelle and others, it really is like going to be after a very, very long day. After all, to the well-organised mind, death is but the next great adventure." Dumbledore tries to explain.
"I doubt you could convince my folks of that." Alucard says, smiling slightly. Harry looked like he was sorting through a lot of information.
"But... Sir - even if the Stone's destroyed, Vol-... I mean, You-Know-Who-" Harry says eventually.
"Call him Voldemort, Harry. Always use the proper name for things. Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself." Dumbledore tells them wisely.
"Well, Sir, Voldemort's going to try different ways of coming back, isn't he? I mean, he hasn't gone, has he?" Harry asks.
"No, he has not. He is out there somewhere, perhaps looking for another body to share... Not being alive, he cannot die as he is. He killed Quirrell to flee, he shows as little mercy to his followers as to his enemies. But, while you have only delayed his rise to power, it will only take another willing to do the same, and then another. Then, he may never return to power." Dumbledore says.
"Sir, there are somethings I'd like to know... if you can tell me... things I want to know the truth about." Harry says.
"The truth." Dumbledore sighs. "Is a beautiful and terrible thing, and should be treated carefully. That said, I shall answer your questions, unless I have a good reason not to, in which case I beg you forgive me. I shall not, on the other hand, lie."
"Well... Voldemort said the only reason he killed my mother was because she tried to stop him killing me." Harry says. "But why did he want to kill me in the first place?"
"Alas, the first thing you ask me, I cannot tell you." Dumbledore sighs deeply. "Not today, at least. I will tell you when you are older... I know this sounds harsh, but I will tell you when you are ready. Until then, put it out of your mind."
"Then, do you know why Quirrell couldn't touch me?" Harry asks, realising that there would no point to argue.
"You mother died to save you, using her love of you to protect you. Voldemort is a being that doesn't understand love. He didn't realise that love as powerful as your mother's leaves it's own mark." Dumbledore explains. "Not a scar, like a curse, no visible sign... to be loved so deeply even though the person who loved us is gone, will grant a kind of protection for ever. It is in your very skin. Quirrell full of greed, hatred and ambition who was sharing a body with Voldemort, who the protection was initially made to stop, could not touch you. It would have been agony for him to touch a person marked by something so good."
Alucard and Dumbledore then become interested in the bird on the window-sill, giving Harry time to dry the tears.
"Um... then... there is another thing..." Harry says, awkwardly glancing at Alucard. "Quirrell said that he couldn't get the Stone because of a vampire... Is there a vampire at Hogwarts?"
"That is not my right to answer." Dumbledore says simply, looking at Alucard.
"Yep, and you're looking at, and have been friends with, him." Alucard says proudly. "Mom and Dad are both vampires, which means I'm supposed to be an impossible birth."
"Really?" Harry asks.
"Yep, I thought you'd be second to figure it out after Hermione, what with me doing all sorts of impossible stuff right next to you." Alucard says, nearly laughing at Harry's embarrassed face.
"I sort of just assumed 'magic'." Harry says, making Alucard laugh and Dumbledore chuckle.
"If only magic could achieve the same results." Dumbledore says.
"You can get the results." Alucard says. "You just need to say some fancy words also."
"Ah, but you are able to do both magic and use your naturally superior abilities, and wizard's will probably never be able to reach the same speed you reach so casually at a mere twelve years old." Dumbledore points out.
"That's fair, I am awesome." Alucard says with a firm nod. Harry laughs at that.
"Well, do you have any other questions, Harry?" Dumbledore asks to get them back on track.
"Oh, yes. Quirrell said that Snape-"
"Professor Snape, Harry." Dumbledore lightly chides.
"Yes, him - Quirrell said that he hates me because he hated my father, is that true?" Harry asks.
"Well, they did rather detest each other. Not unlike yourself and Mr Malfoy. And then, your father did something Snape could never forgive." Dumbledore explains.
"What was it?" Alucard asks, getting interested.
"He saved his life." Dumbledore reveals.
"What?" Harry asks, really confused.
"Yes..." Dumbledore says dreamily. "Funny, the way people's minds work, isn't it? Professor Snape couldn't bear being in you father's debt... I do believe he worked so hard to protect you this year because he felt it would make him and your father quits. Then he could go back to hating your father's memory in peace."
Harry and Alucard both tried to figure out how Snape reached that conclusion, but stopped when it started to become too confusing.
"And, sir, there's another thing..." Harry says.
"Yes?" Dumbledore prompts.
"How did I get the Stone out of the Mirror?" Harry asks, making Alucard turn to look at Dumbledore also.
"Ah, I'm glad you asked me that. It was one of my more brilliant ideas. And between us, that's saying something." Dumbledore says, sounding happy with how much attention they were paying him. "You see - only one who wanted to find the Stone, find it, not use it - would be able to get it, otherwise they would see themselves using it. My brain surprises even me sometimes."
"Huh..." Alucard says, sitting back in his chair. "That is extremely clever."
"Now, if you don't have anymore questions. I suggest you make a start on these sweets. Ah! Bertie Bott's Every-Flavour Beans! I was unfortunate enough in my youth top come across a vomit-flavoured one, and since then I'm afraid I've rather lost my liking for them - But I think I'll be safe with a nice toffee, don't you?" Dumbledore says, picking up a golden-brown coloured one from a box he got from the pile. He puts the bean into his mouth.
"Alas! Earwax!"
"Sir, do you think they have one that tastes like blood?" Alucard asks, looking through another box Harry didn't see him taking.
"Maybe, but I must be off." Dumbledore muses before rising from his seat. Dumbledore reaches the door when Harry suddenly thinks of a question.
"Sir, wait!" Harry says loudly. Dumbledore turns around to look at Harry.
"Yes?"
"Oh, um... do you know who sent me the Invisibility Cloak?" Harry asks. Dumbledore smiles.
"Your father happened to leave it in my possession and I thought you might like it." Dumbledore reveals. "Useful things... your father used it mainly for sneaking off to the kitchens to steal food when he was here." Dumbledore then opens the door and leaves the hospital wing.
"Strange man, very interesting to talk to." Alucard says, sniffing a blood red bean, he then licks it. "Eh, no. Beetroot." Alucard says, looking disgusted as he vanishes it with his wand, making Harry laugh heartily, and Madam Pomfrey rush in ready to scold someone. Only to find no-one but Harry.
"Hmph. I'll give him an earful when he gets back." Madam Pomfrey sighs.
