Hello, everyone! This is chapter 13 of the story and I hope everyone will enjoy it! So without further ado, let's start!

Normal POV

The next morning, Yoh and Chocolove were fully healed as Yoh approached Chocolove, who was meditating under a tree.

" Hey. You awake too, Yoh?" Chocolove ask

" Hi. This time we really could have been in danger, huh?" Yoh ask

" I'm sorry, it's all my fault." Chocolove said

" Come on... Thanks to you, my furyoku increased a little... Anyways, Chocolove... Your eyes... Is it true that you asked Gandhara to revive you without your sight?" Yoh ask

" Did Ryu tell you that?" Chocolove ask

" Yes."

" Well, I had a thought. Have you ever heard that if you lose one of your five senses, the other four works better? So this is nothing if I can obtain an even stronger furyoku." Chocolove explained

" But that's not the only reason, right?" Yoh ask

" Ah, you... Well, I can't say that with this, I have repaired for my sins but... I still wanted to make those two children laugh. Especially Seyram, who closed her heart to everything because of me. I thought a lot on how to make her laugh, but I still haven't found a solution." Chocolove explain as he removed his sunglasses, revealing his blind eyes, " That's why I took away the light of my vision in order to see the light in her heart. Ah! Ah! Ah! Don't you think that's funny?"

" True. That's not a funny joke." Yoh said

" Oi!"

" Ah, Nii-chan! Help! I haven't seen my father all morning! Do you know where he is?!" Redseb exclaimed as he ran towards them

" I don't know... We haven't seen him..." Yoh said

" That's odd... He was with us last night..." Redseb said as he looked around

" Nothing... He isn't here... Maybe he reached Nirvana? Well, I know that he didn't feel comfortable since Anna forced him to come." Horohoro smirked

Redseb immediately landed a punch on his crotch again as he keeled over in pain.

" Don't underestimate my father! He's not so irresponsible!" Redseb exclaimed

" Yes I know... I was just kidding..." Horohoro groaned

" Good morning, Yoh-dono." Ryu greeted

" Hello, Yoh. How lucky. You both seemed to have recovered." Manta said

" Well, I didn't do anything." Yoh said

Chocolove noticed Seyram's presence as she approached them before smiling.

" You're right. He isn't such an irresponsible person. And here I am to make everyone laugh with my powerful gags." Chocolove said as he stood up, brushing the dust off his pants, " Strawberry cake!"

Everyone present were surprised at his sudden outfit change before Ren and Horohoro started attacking him for the bad joke, resulting in Yoh getting caught in the melee. Footsteps approached them as they soon stopped to check on who it was.

" Having fun there?" Gaillard ask

" You guys!" Horohoro exclaimed

" Ai!"

" We came as promised to have a talk." Kai said

" Okay..."

They headed towards the hall as they sat around the table. Kai let Aichi down as he crawled over to play with Redseb and Seyram.

" I heard about what happened after I fainted. Are you guys okay now?" Yoh ask

" Yeah."

" Aichi-san used his powers to heal our wounds, so we're both alright." Gaillard replied

" I see."

" So what are you here to talk about?" Horohoro ask

" About yesterday. Void kept mentioning about 'our' world, remember?" Gaillard ask

" Oh... You mean this world?" Ryu ask

" No. It's 'our' world. The other world we came from." Gaillard replied

" Is this really okay?" Yoh ask

" We talked about it last night and we trust you guys. After all, you guys kept Aichi safe this whole time." Kai replied

" Then get straight to the point. Who exactly are you guys?" Ren ask

" ... Our world is a peaceful world deprived from war. On our Earth, a single card game was used to settle all feuds. Those creatures depicted on the cards all exist on another planet called Planet Cray. Whatever happens on Cray would also happen to Earth. It had happened on three occasions." Gaillard explained

" The first incident involved humans who were chosen to wield a power from Cray called 'Psyqualia'. Aichi was one of them. Psyqualia allows the user to establish a communication with the units residing on Cray, strengthening their bonds. However, whatever happens to the fights the Psyqualia users battle in, it also affects the result on Cray. Aichi saved my friend, who had been hungry for power at that time. The second incident was when Void first appeared. He'd planned to take control over Earth and Cray during that time, so to counter him, strong fighters were gathered in order to fend him off. It was Aichi who defeated Void's catalyst to stop his plans in their tracks. And the third incident..." Kai trailed off as he glanced back at Aichi

" ... That incident occurred because of a normal human emotion. Don't bash yourself over it." Gaillard said

" Don't say it like you've forgiven me or something. I know you haven't." Kai said

" Of course not, but everyone has to move forward." Gaillard said

Kai remained silent for another moment before breathing out a deep sigh.

" ... The third incident was because of me. I allowed Void's minions, Link Joker, to invade Earth." Kai admitted as his face darkened

" But you..." Amidamaru said

" It was because of my insecurities. Because I allowed that emotion to get the better of me... I couldn't take it when I saw Aichi and our other friend growing stronger and moving forward without me. At that time, they seemed so far away. I thought that by using Link Joker's power, I could become far more stronger than the both of them and catch up with their strength. It was a mistake that I could never forgive myself for. I had even put Aichi's life in jeopardy and risked destroying both Earth and Cray for my own ambitions." Kai said

" In the end, everything was fine, right? Aichi-san brought you back and life went back to normal once Link Joker was defeated. I visited Japan after that time to thank Aichi-san. If it wasn't for him, my family... the children in the orphanage would've remained possessed by Link Joker. It was all thanks to him." Gaillard said

" Wait... Then why did Void return?" Chocolove ask

" Yeah. If he knew that there would always be someone on Earth to disrupt his plans, why did he try again?" Horohoro ask

" Have you forgotten what Void had called him?" Kai ask

" ... 'Fiancee'."

" That's right. Void had decided that if he couldn't get what he wanted with Aichi around, then he could start with getting him on his side first. Just when we were having a peaceful day, Aichi had suddenly disappeared. He went missing for three days because Void captured him and hid him away in a secret lair. With Aichi being unable to fight back, Void left him with scars that wouldn't fade away in a long time. He declared Aichi to be his fiancee from then on, and has never stopped to hunt him down for himself." Kai explained

" That was as far as the story you told me went, other than the three incidents that you mentioned. You never gave me other details after that." Yoh said

" Yeah."

" There were other reasons why Void was so bent on getting Aichi-san. One reason is already visibly plain to see. The immense power that Aichi-san has right now and the other reason is to use his body to cultivate Link Joker's Seed." Gaillard continued

" Seed?"

" The Seed plants itself into a host and whenever the host wins a fight, it grows stronger. However, Void was going to change that once he had successfully gotten married with Aichi-san. He was going to manipulate the Seed in a way where the host would fall under his control once it had been planted into his heart. The Seed would lock the host's will and conscious away so that there would be no resistance against it. That was the plan before we managed to rescue him in time." Gaillard said

" After his rescue, Aichi would fear that Void would return for him again. While we did try to keep him safe as much as we could, we were still normal humans in the end. We had no special power to fight against Void." Kai said

" Then what did you guys do?" Horohoro ask

" Can you let me explain the rest?" A voice ask

The others looked around as Takuto soon appeared between Kai and Gaillard.

" Who are you?!" Ren exclaimed

" A spirit?!" Yoh exclaimed

" Well, you could call me that since I'm an astral projection. I'm called Takuto Tatsunagi, the one who had given Psyqualia to Aichi-kun back then." Takuto said

" He was also the one who found this world and sent us here." Gaillard added

" That's right. Cray never wanted to intervene, but the Messiah had spoken its will to me after the incident. It had detected a power that it had never felt before from Aichi-kun, so I went to investigate. It turns out that after briefly making a connection with Aichi-kun once, the Messiah had found out that his soul has a strong power laying dormant. Whatever Void had done to him back then had started to awaken that power because he was in danger and defenseless. Aichi-kun had no idea about it nor did he know how he could control that power. So in order to keep him off from Void's radar, we sent him and these two here. Another world that's on the brink of ruin. If he could learn how to control his powers, then he could be able to defeat Void again once and for all." Takuto explained

" I can't understand it. Why would you put such a burden on him?" Yoh ask

" Because he loves the world too much. That's his weakness. The more he loves something, the more he wouldn't bear to lose it, even if it's a world that he never came from. What Void said yesterday was partially true. Our world has been at an imbalance after Aichi-kun had came here. Our world is still stable but it'll soon crumble if Void gets his way. That's why we could never let anything happen to Aichi-kun." Takuto said

While he had been talking, Kai had taken notice of Aichi rubbing his eyes as he walked over to pick him up before sitting back down beside Takuto.

" Ai..."

Kai patted Aichi softly as he tried to lull him to sleep.

" But why seal him and turn him into a baby?" Ryu ask

" It was an easier option. Since he still had no control over his powers, he couldn't control how much he releases it. By reverting him back to a baby, his body would recover faster by going through sleep cycles that babies go through. It tires him easily and makes him get more ample rest." Takuto explained

" I see..."

" The Oversouls you've seen up until now are the units from Cray, those are the units that these three are the closest to. That's why they may seem to be an irregularity from normal spirits." Takuto said

" Makes sense now." Horohoro said

" But now that's Void's here, it's either we defeat him now or we train and fight him when we're ready." Gaillard said

" The Shaman Fight was the best place to train, that's why we joined but now it's going to become a place to settle our feud." Kai said

" How do you know?" Ren ask

Their Oracle Bells started to ring as the matchups for the next few days were announced.

" This is..." Yoh exclaimed

" Team Cray versus Team Void...!" Ryu exclaimed

" Aichi has the power of premonition that activates in moments of danger. He just had another yesterday night. This was something we could never avoid. It's the sign that we have to settle this sooner or later. We have to go now. We have to be prepared before our matchup in a few days." Kai said

Takuto nodded and disappeared as the two stood up.

" Wait! Are you really alright with this?! You two struggled to fight yesterday night!" Yoh exclaimed

" ... We always have to be prepared for the worst. If not, we would lose everything." Kai said

" Instead of worrying about us, you should do a bit of your own thinking too. Aichi-san was worried about you resigning from the Shaman Fight." Gaillard said

After everything was said and done, Kai and Gaillard left the accommodation.

After returning to their accommodation, Kai tucked Aichi in on the bed after he had fallen asleep as he patted his head.

" What should we do now, Kai?" Gaillard ask

" Are you having cold feet after yesterday?" Kai ask

" No! I'm only worried about what will happen during the fight. Void will have devious plans up his sleeves for sure. I'm sure his other two teammates are people that he recruited from our world too." Gaillard said

" I know, but there's nothing else we can do right now. Our duty is to just protect Aichi, that's all." Kai said

" You think he'll be alright with that?! Didn't you promise him that you'll never do anything reckless for his sake! If we have to fight, then we're going to learn to join our powers right now!" Gaillard exclaimed

" If you lose your cool, you lose everything. That was what happened to me yesterday. I lost my cool after remembering Void's torment towards Aichi and risked my life trying to fight him alone. It almost became an irreversible result." Kai said

" Then we should train to become stronger! That way, we can handle Void and take whatever he throws at us!" Gaillard exclaimed

As Kai stayed silent and continued to hesitate, a glow lit up from behind them as Kai turned his head just as a hand reached out to his cheek.

" He's right, Kai-kun. If we don't train now, we'll never be able to save our world." Aichi said, having grown back to his normal form, " If you really want to keep me safe, then you'll have to become stronger to defeat our enemy."

" Aichi..."

" Would you mind bringing me some clothes, Gaillard-kun? We're heading off after I get changed." Aichi said

" Where are we going?" Gaillard ask

" To do some training." Aichi replied

" I understand." Gaillard said as he went out of the room

" ... I never wanted this to happen to you. If I'd known, I wouldn't have allowed Void entry to Earth the second time. It's all my fault that we're in this predicament." Kai said

" No, it's not." Aichi said

" If I'd gained power with my own strength, I wouldn't have fallen to Link Joker's temptation and the world we know wouldn't be in danger." Kai said

" Kai-kun, this was no one's fault. No one knew what would happen. You shouldn't blame yourself over such a thing. Everyone has already forgiven you. Right now, we have to focus on what's about to happen soon. If we really don't defeat Void here and now..." Aichi trailed off as he hugged Kai, " ... We will really lose everything. The place we met, the place we found each other again, our precious friends and our precious place."

" And I will lose you too. I can't lose you again. I learned my lesson, and I want to be able to protect you as long as I live." Kai said

" I won't let you die. I'll never let anyone die." Aichi said

" ... I love you." Kai said

" Me too, Kai-kun. I love you." Aichi said

Both leaned in for a quick kiss before Kai released to hug Aichi again, leaning towards his ear to whisper something to him as Aichi's eyes widened a little.

" Are you serious...?" Aichi ask

" Yeah."

" But I..." Aichi muttered

" You can do it. I believe in you." Kai whispered

" ... Okay."

Hearing Gaillard's footsteps returning to the room, Aichi released the hug as he covered himself with the blanket while Gaillard entered to hand him some clothes for him.

" By the way, how did you convince Takuto and the Messiah to let you return to normal?" Kai ask

" I had to train to be ready for the battle with Void. I couldn't just sit back and watch." Aichi replied

" I see. Then let's head to the forest. You like the surrounding nature over there. It's a perfect place to train too. Although we might get spotted by the X-Laws if we go too far. with our training." Kai said

" Then let's just train as discreetly as possible." Aichi said

The two nodded as Aichi wore his clothes and stood up.

" Will those clothes really be alright with you?" Gaillard ask

" Yeah. They aren't as small as I expected them to be. I can still freely move about so it's fine." Aichi said

" I don't see why not either. He looks cute in whatever he wears." Kai said

Aichi blushed before giggling a little.

" Then, let's go." Aichi said

Kai and Gaillard nodded as the three headed off to their training grounds and prepare themselves for their fateful fight with their strongest enemy.
