A/N: And now, the finale
Disclaimer: I don't own Chuck
"Dad, what are you doing here?" Sarah hissed.
"Trying to save your ass," Jack replied.
"That is my boyfriend and his family," Sarah began.
"I know," Jack said. "I know everything." Sarah straightened, stunned. "I know that you work for the CIA, and that I got you into this… mess."
"Dad," Sarah began, not sure what to say.
"I know I've been a shitty dad, so for once, in my life, let me give you a gift," Jack said, looking at the ground. He raised his head, holding her gaze. "Angel, you're being conned."
"Dad, no, he loves me. And I know you think love is a con-"
"I know he does," Jack replied. "And so does that schnook's bearded little friend." Sarah blinked. "Darlin' you're too far in. You're not seeing the con."
"Well, I wish someone would tell me. All I keep hearing is how I can't be with my asset, but I should have a real life… sorry, I get you don't understand that," Sarah said.
Jack grinned at her. "Darlin', I completely understand it," Jack replied. "It's you who doesn't understand." Sarah jerked her chin back. "Angel… Darlin', what exactly are the rules on an asset-handler relationship?"
"A handler cannot be compromised by their asset. Which is ridiculous, because I am beyond compromised when it comes to him," Sarah said, kicking a rock on the ground in frustration.
"Darlin'… who's the asset?" Jack asked.
"Chuck," Sarah said. Jack slowly shook his head. "Dad, he is!"
"Your bosses are referring to the schnook in there as the asset?"
"Well, no," Sarah admitted. "They keep saying the… In... ter… sonofabitch," she said, in a low tone. She began to chuckle.
"Run me through it," Jack encouraged her.
"I am compromised… by Chuck Bartowski," Sarah said. Jack nodded encouragement. "The Intersect… I couldn't give a rats ass about the Intersect."
"So, if copface had it?" Jack asked.
"Copface?" Sarah stood there, her mouth open. "Casey?!" Jack shrugged. "Fine, if he had it, I wouldn't care. I'd only care about Chuck."
"Then why are you out here with me, and not in there with him?" Jack asked. Sarah shook her head, her eyes welling up with tears. She crossed the distance between them, and pulled him into a hug.
"Thank you, Dad," she whispered.
"Just one of many gifts I owe you," he said, holding her tight.
"I think you just made up for all of them," Sarah said. Jack squeezed her tight, then let her go. He gave her a sad smile. "You know you could stay-"
"No, Darlin'," Jack said, shaking his head. He looked around the courtyard. "This isn't me."
"Dad… it could be."
Jack was silent for a moment. "Maybe a long time ago, but now…? No, Angel." He squeezed her hand, and turned to go.
"Thank you… I love you," Sarah called out after him. He never stopped walking, just turned to her and waved. She watched him go, and blew out a breath. "Oh my God," she said, her hands going to her face. She turned and headed toward the door.
As she went inside, she saw that everyone had gone to bed. She went into Chuck's room, to find him lying there, asleep. She lifted the covers on her side, slid in, and laid her head on his chest. "Things are gonna be different," she said softly, and then she fell into the best sleep she ever had.

"Sarah," she heard a bit later. She opened her eyes, and sat up, looking back at Chuck. "I'm sorry, I know you love to sleep in-"
He stopped talking because she leaned in, and kissed him on the mouth. When she pulled back, his eyes were wide, and she was grinning.
"Merry Christmas, Chuck," she said softly.
"Merry Christmas, Sarah," Chuck said, blinking, with a slow smile growing on his face. "Was everything okay with you and your dad?" Sarah nodded. "Okay, so I'm going to go help Ellie get breakfast ready-" he stopped again, because she pulled him in for another kiss. When she pulled away, he was a little disheveled. "I don't know what's going on, but-"
"You said we're together, and it's Christmas," she said with a shrug.
"It is, and you're right," Chuck said, getting up. "I really need to help Ellie."
"Go," she said, shooing him. "I need to get ready." Chuck nodded, and headed out of the room. Sarah, still smiling, slowly turned to where she knew the camera used to be in the room. "CASEY!" she hissed. "You, Morgan, and whoever the hell is over there, get over here. NOW!" She got out of bed, opened the Morgan door, and watched Morgan, Anna, Casey, Lester, and Jeff scramble over.
"Sarah," Morgan began, fear on his face.
"Thank you, Morgan," Sarah said softly. Morgan, nodded, smiling. "Now, I need some Christmas cheer up in here." Casey's eyes went wide. "I need appropriate presents for my family." Casey's eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets. "I need you to have a meal delivered to an address, okay?" Casey nodded. "Morgan?" Morgan saluted. "I need appropriate gifts for the Bartowskis; what I got them is not enough."
"What about me?" Anna asked.
"Get rid of those two," Sarah said. She handed Anna a black credit card. "And then, do something for the three of you." Anna's eyes widened.
"Walker?" Casey began.
"Thank you, all," she said. Tears formed in her eyes. "You will never know…" She trailed off, looking away, wiping a tear from her eyes.
"You heard her!" Casey barked. Sarah gave him a nod of thanks, shut the window, and found the clothes she wanted to wear.
"I'm about to heart-warm the shit out of that man," she said softly, grinning.

Hours later, after presents had been opened, and a meal eaten, having been joined by Anna, Morgan, and Casey, Sarah took Chuck's hand. She led him to the tree, where all their troubles had started not that long ago.
"Hey, I need to say something to you," Sarah said softly.
"Anna," Morgan whispered to Anna. She turned and saw what was going on. She backhanded Casey, making him grunt and turn to her. She pointed at Chuck and Sarah.
"Okay," Chuck said, as she took both of his hands in hers.
"What happened with the bomb… it wasn't a mistake," Sarah began.
"I kinda guessed that," Chuck replied, grinning.
"What's going on?" Ellie asked Morgan. Morgan made a shushing gesture, and nodded toward Chuck and Sarah, the two in their own world.
"Chuck…" she took a deep breath. "I love you," she said softly. His eyes grew wide. "I'm gonna say it again, because it feels so good: I love you."
"I love you," Chuck told her. She kissed him.
"Awesome!" Devon boomed.
"Shit," Casey muttered.
"What's wrong?" Anna asked.
"Gonna be a lot of ladyfeelings on the team," Casey said.
"Hey, can I say it?" Morgan asked. Anna rolled her eyes, but nodded. "God Bless us, every one."

A few days later, Chuck and Sarah stood in front of the monitor in Casey's apartment, holding hands and laughing together.
"Agent Walker," Graham said.
"Sorry, sir, I didn't realize the meeting had started," Sarah said, pulling her hand away from Chuck. "Any missions?"
"Negative Agent Walker," Graham said. "Are you working on the cover?"
"What cover?" Sarah asked. She glanced at Chuck. "Chuck and I are dating… exclusively."
"But Agent Walker, the Intersect?" Graham asked, a grin on his face.
"I'm not dating the Intersect sir, I'm dating Chuck Bartowski," Sarah told him. Graham nodded. "I assume that's okay?"
"Professionally, I do not care about your private life," Graham began. "Personally…" he let out a breath and grinned. "It's about damn time, you two."
"Uh, sir, where is General Beckman?" Chuck asked.
"Her honeymoon," Graham answered.
"And we didn't get an invite?" Chuck asked. Graham gave Chuck a look, snorted, shook his head and disconnected the call. "He likes me."
"Uh-huh," Sarah said, laughing at him. "Come on, we gotta finish unpacking our stuff in the new apartment."
"Hey, Sarah," Chuck said. She turned to him. "I love you."
"I love you."
"Will you two get out of here!" Casey yelled. He watched them leave. "Christ, now I'm stuck here, having to watch those two…."
"I made some cookies," Morgan said, bringing a plate over. Casey gave them a speculative look, picked one up, smelled it, and then took a small bite.
"Mmm," Casey said, surprised.
"So, my leg doesn't get broken?"
"Well, see," Casey said, grinning.
A/N: And so ends our little story. Take care folks.
