Here we go!

Shinegreymon has accomplished many things in his centuries of living. He had challenged the Great Demon Lord and come out victorious. He faced multiple Royal Knights and defeated them; the God-like figure Yggdrasil too. While it may be true he had done so with the aid of several other Digimon and humans, those were still achievements that many could not boast about. He prided himself on being one of the strongest fighters to ever live. So right now he was really starting to feel irritated and annoyed by the challenge he had to face now.

The Boss had spent years trying to keep the Digital World a secret. They had infiltrated almost every office that held information on the Digital World and memory-wiped almost every individual they could find who would have truly understood what Digimon were. As far as the world as a whole knew, Digimon didn't exist. There were no monsters made of data and no parallel world to their own. Humans were alone as far as they knew. Then by some miracle, superpowers or quirks started manifesting in people. It was not a Digital occurrence, something else entirely birthed these powers, but it had happened and it only affected the humans who were born on Earth. One thing leads to another and the world ended up evolving into a superhuman society, a far cry from what the Digimon had known so many years ago.

Quirks were weird. Their abilities were so random even by Digimon standards and the only thing that was even somewhat consistent about them was that they were passed on. As for the power these quirks granted…a lot of abilities were fairly unique and could have been used if they were properly applied, but generally, they weren't really all that powerful. A lot of individuals were gifted a single quirk with certain abilities attached to that quirk, but they were otherwise locked to those abilities. They couldn't evolve their power as a Digimon could and the gaps between humans and Digimon remained huge even if the humans were more powerful than before.

Still, these quirks were now the foundation that society was now built upon. More laws and regulations had to be made for quirks. Various jobs had become easier due to quirks as well and even new ones were created. Of those new jobs was the Hero System that housed the pro heroes. Pro heroes as the media called them, were essentially cops or disaster relief who used their quirks to help people. Why the people made such a big deal of it, he never could figure out. There were Special Forces in the police and other agencies that had similar roles. Not counting DATS, you had departments that would focus on terrorists; others may handle sex-related crimes; some may focus on special cases where the criminals had strange or unique crimes, all of which didn't get the kind of attention the Pro heroes got today. Shinegreymon would admit that if he was still as immature as he was when he was in DATS, he would be a little jealous; he and the Boss had put it so many hours dealing with Digimon as well as monsters like Kurata but they never got this kind of recognition like these 'heroes'.

Right now the Mega Digimon had to actually humor the heroes and the public as a whole. A few of the 'top' heroes who arrived were trying to subdue him, the keyword being 'try'. He had to fake being a given a challenge by the super-powered humans. He didn't doubt they were strong, well trained, and capable, but the gap between them was still too big. He would have loved nothing more than go all out, to show that he was one of the greatest fighters of all time, but he couldn't. The world now had their beliefs in the hero system that the heroes were the strongest and most surefire means of protection they had. To suddenly uproot that belief would push them into a state of chaos and panic. This chaos would then bleed over to the Digital World where it would cause the Digimon themselves to react negatively. It was because of these consequences that Shinegreymon had to hold back.

The heroes launched more attacks, they tried binding him even more, but they still didn't have the means to properly subdue, let alone defeat him. A lot of them used their special moves, and even their ultimate moves to try and put him down. It didn't work, obviously, but he had to fake it. He was just unsure how long he could. He could pretend to be injured or exhausted but how long would it take for them to realize he was only acting. He still hadn't launched his own special attacks yet. He still managed to keep Overhaul in the water but for how long could he keep up the charade.

"Come on Boss, I'm running out of time," Shinegreymon thought as he let All Might punch him for the thousandth time, the number one hero was admittedly giving him a nice massage. If teaching doesn't work out, he should definitely become a masseuse. Wait a second…did All Might actually leave his class to come and fight him? Shinegreymon could only grimace; he hadn't even done anything that should warrant him being that big a threat or was it simply because he gained the attention of a few other pros that spurred the Symbol of Peace into action. Regardless he wondered what All Might students were doing right now, unless he didn't actually have a class.

The students of class 1B had assembled and were waiting patiently for their teacher, All Might, to arrive. They had already done the battle trials last week and were now curious as to what his next lesson would be. Some wondered if they would be working on more combat, while others assumed that maybe they would do rescue base training. What they didn't expect was for a young girl around their age to enter the class holding a stack of papers. The girl had purple hair and wore a strange outfit. Some might have questioned if she should be a student instead.

"Alright class, settle down, we will begin shortly," The girl said as she looked over the papers. The students looked at each other confused. They were going to begin? One of the students, Neito Monoma, raised his hands. "Yes, blonde boy with the big mouth," The girl said. "You have a question,"

"Forgive the interruption, but where is All Might and who are you?" Monoma asked.

"Yeah, where's All Might?" Another student, Tetsutetsu, asked.

"Professor Blonde Muscle Man has stepped out, so you're stuck with me, Madame Rude Purple Girl," She answered teasingly.

"Huh," The students muttered.

"All Might had some hero work to do so he gave me his notes and asked me to teach you instead," Sayo deadpanned. She glanced as the students seemed to realize what she meant. "Sheesh be more aware," She muttered to herself.

"But that still doesn't explain who you are," another student with mossy green hair, Setsuna, pointed out.

"Hmm," The purple-haired girl mused as she closed her eyes and wondered if she should respond. "Well I guess it's only fair," She sighed. "I have no name I am but two days old…just kidding," She laughed. "You can call me Ms. Sayo," She told them.

"So Ms. Sayo, are you an underground pro hero? We never heard of you before," Setsuna asked.

"Well that's because I'm not a hero," Sayo answered. "I'm just a humble café worker and fellow student at U.A.," Sayo giggled as she introduced herself. She was also a cyber sleuth but that was more of a hobby…maybe.

"A…A…Student," Monoma said in disbelief. "Hehe, why am I not surprised, All Might probably doesn't have time with us, so he's letting a third-year teach instead of an actual hero," He accused.

"Oi, Monoma, I don't think that's the case," An orange-haired girl, Kendo, interrupted.

"Yeah, you're totally wrong about it. I'm a first year," Sayo corrected.

"You're not helping yourself," Kendo muttered.

"Are you in the hero course?" Tetsutetsu asked.

"General Studies,"

"Why aren't you in class?" Setsuna asked

"I got suspended for sending half of my class to Recovery Girl," Sayo answered nonchalantly.

"This is ridiculous," Monoma said as he stood up. "I'm going to go find All Might or at least a decent teacher who would be willing to teach us," The blonde said as he walked towards the door.

"Oh…am I not good enough for you," Sayo said, feigning hurt. She turned up the volume on her phone showing it to the class. On the screen it displayed All Might fighting a colossal villain in red and white armor. The creature was standing, if not staggering, awkwardly while All Might and a few other pros were still launching a few more attacks against the behemoth. "All Might had to step out to deal with a Mega Monster," She explained. "Yet he was still considerate enough to make sure someone taught you his lesson," She told him. "Are you really gonna whine and cry like a big baby and disrespect All Might's consideration towards you?" Sayo asked. Monoma was silent for a moment but Sayo knew just how to push his buttons a little more. "I helped another teacher with a lesson for Class 1A and while I'm sure they complained about me, they still held on to the end. Are you telling me you're that much weaker that you'll give up after the first few minutes?" Sayo goaded.

"What? Of course not," Monoma said immediately in defense. "We're nothing like those posers," He said as he went back to his seat.

"Could have fooled me," Sayo said as she looked down at the notes. "Now if we don't have any more interruptions, let's begin," Sayo told them.

"I don't think Shinegreymon can hold out much longer," Marcus told them. He was watching the fight live in the base and honestly, he really felt for his partner. Against lesser foes they would certainly cause some problems, maybe if they fought the giant chicken he first fought so long ago came back, they would be able to defeat him. Shinegreymon was no mindless chicken. He was many times larger than most of the heroes and he was covered from head to toe with armor tougher than steel. Even when the heroes sent people like All Might to deal damage, he was positive the impact didn't do so much to a resilient Digimon who once tanked a blast that could erode the barriers between worlds. To humor, the heroes like this must have really been grating his nerves.

"The formula should be fin-fin-finished soon," Dr. Datamon said. The cyborg Digimon wanted to make sure he could get the most optimized solution. As a Doctor he had sworn an oath to save lives and regardless of what these people have done in their perverted sense of finding a cure to quirks, he would also ensure they were saved as well. Regardless, once Dr. Datamon was finished with this task he would request Hudie to wipe his memories of such taboo and repulsive knowledge.

"Just out of curiosity how do you plan to administer the formula once it's completed?" Mirei asked Marcus.

Marcus blinked at her question. "I was going to try and sneak by and administer it," He answered. "Maybe I'd use a disguise or something to conceal myself," He explained.

"That's not a bad idea, but I think we might need to do something else," Erika interjected as she looked over her own screens. She was trying to minimize the exposure of the event. She couldn't quite get rid of the live feed without arousing suspicion within the country but she could still keep it from going global and halt any recordings of the event. "A lot of people are starting to gather, if you enter the scene you'd draw attention to yourself almost immediately. Even if you remain mostly discreet there is a chance someone will see you when you administer the drug and that alone will draw suspicion," She explained.

So what's the plan then," Marcus said. Erika would never shoot down an idea without first having a solution of her own to replace it.

"Simple we have an angel shoot him down with an arrow of light from afar," Erika suggested. They administer the drug in an attack to avoid drawing attention to them and use a long-range one at that. With all the people gathered, it would be difficult to pinpoint just one attack that caused it, especially if they do it a few blocks away from the actual fight.

"Hehe…that's not a bad idea," Marcus said as he called the Café. They were going to give a whole new meaning to divine retribution. He was positive the angel, in particular, would jump at the idea to take down Overhaul.

"Alright Eri, pick a card," Wiz told the little girl as he held some playing cards. The little girl picked one of the cards. "Good now put it back in the deck," He told her. She did as instructed. Wiz then made the deck disappear with a few simple hand movements before reaching behind her ear. "Is this your card?" He asked her as he pulled the card out from behind her ear. Eri's eyes lit up with amazement as she saw the trick, the little girl grabbing the card from his hand to look at it.

"Can you make a bottle of milk appear for me?" Gatomon asked as she looked unimpressed by the magic trick. Wiz didn't respond but merely moved his hand behind Gatomon's ear to pull a bottle of milk out much to the cat's surprise.

"How'd you do that?" She asked in shock as she took the milk from him and examined it. "Wait a second…this is my milk from the fridge," She realized upon closer examination. "Why I ought to," Gatomon cut herself off as she glanced at Eri. "Give you round of applause," The cat lied.

A phone suddenly rang in the café interrupting the trio.

"I wonder who that could be," Wiz thought as he went to answer the phone while Gatomon shared her milk with Eri. "Kitty, it's Marcus, he needs to talk to you," Wiz said as he offered the phone to the little cat.

"Meow-lo," Kitty answered. "Huh….you want me to what…okay…meet you where…sure," Kitty responded over the phone before hanging up. "Well Eri, it looks like have to go and work," Kitty told the little girl. She could see Eri frown a bit at that statement. "Now don't give me that look, I'll be back in two hours. Hopefully, by then Wiz can actually show you some decent magic by the time I get back." She laughed. However, a small smile formed on the cat's face as she thought about a nice little parting gift for Eri. "Say how about I show you my own special trick," Kitty told the girl.

"You can do magic as well," Eri muttered.

"Well it's not magic per se," Kitty explained. "Alright let me just show you instead of explaining. Be warned it might be a little flashy," Kitty told her. "Are you ready?" She asked. Eri nodded slowly. "Okay…Gatomon digivolve to…" A light engulfed the small holy cat Digimon. Eri watched as the cat began to grow and her shape slowly morphed from a kitty to that of an adult. However that wasn't the only change, the tail had disappeared entirely as several wings sprouted from her back. Eventually, the light faded and Eri could only stare in awe at the angelic being that now stood before her. "Angewomon," The lady whispered. "What do you think Eri?" Angewomon asked in a soft motherly tone.

"Wow…you're so pretty," Eri said.

"Am I more impressive than Wiz's card trick," Angewomon asked.

"Yes…you're more impressive," Eri answered excitedly much to Wiz's dismay. Angewomon flashed a soft smile as she kneeled down to the girl.

"Thank you," The ultimate said as she patted Eri on her head. "I'll be back and then we'll play some more," She told the girl as walked out of the Café. They had been staying in the Digital version as it was the safest place since humans couldn't reach them. Eri watched as Angewomon stood outside before she spread her wings and took off, white feathers scattering as she soared into the sky.

"That never gets old," Wiz smiled fondly. "Alright, now I guess I have to break out the big guns," He told Eri as he pulled out a magic wand. "Presto," He said and a bouquet of flowers appeared.

"Remember you only have one shot so I suggest you make it count," Mirei told Marcus over the line. The former DATS agent stared at the cure in his hand. It was a very 50 caliber sniper bullet, much larger than the usual bullets the Yakuza had planned but it should do the trick. It felt strange in his hand, having been so used to punching his opponents and settling things with his fists.

"Don't worry, I'm sure Shine will get him in the perfect position," Marcus answered. He heard a soft thud as an angel landed behind him. "Is this a good spot for you?" Marcus asked Kitty. They were on the Digital Version of one of the tallest buildings in the city, with a clear view of where Shinegreymon and the others were supposed to be.

"It'll do purr-fectly," Angewomon responded as she took the bullet in one hand. She held it out and held it tight as she channeled her holy power into it. The wings that adorn her glove spread out forming a bow. As she pulled at the bow a string and arrow of holy energy formed with the bullet now finding itself at the tip of the arrow. "Tell him to ready himself," She told Marcus.

The old man opened a portal between worlds. They were going to fire the cure from the Digital World into the Real World. "Shinegreymon," Marcus ordered with his Digivice, "Get the fool into the air and then dive as deep as you can," He told his partner.

"About time," Shinegreymon answered. He swiped his tail as he knocked back several heroes who were shocked when his false fatigue suddenly disappeared. Once he was sure he had cleared the way. He leaped back into the ocean finding Overhaul to be very much alive and still struggling to stay afloat. Shinegreymon grabbed him before jumping out of the water. The Mega Digimon then used his power to toss Overhaul high into the air before he dived into the water causing a large fountain of water to erupt, disrupting and distracting most onlookers.

Angewomon stared at the abomination in the air as he lined up with her vision. She remembered feeling the despair Eri had because of him. This would be her next magic trick for Eri, to make Overhaul disappear from her life and never cause her any more grief. "Celestial Arrow," She called as she released the arrow. The arrow shot towards Overhaul seeking the darkness within him. It was swift but it wasn't painless. The arrow pierced the kaiju's body in mid-flight causing it to erupt in a flash of light as both her power dealt damage and the cure began to work. From where they were standing, they could still see Overhaul's body split apart in the light as he and his followers fell. They landed in the water Shinegreymon dived under, alive but unconscious.

Meanwhile, Shinegreymon had released his transformation while underwater turning back into the smaller Koromon form. It was there he was greeted by a small turtle Digimon, Kamemon who swam by and grabbed the small puffball before swimming away, going to regroup with the others. The Yakuza was defeated and Hudie was victorious.

Special thanks to Ezok for betaing this.

So Shinegreymon had to literally fake it to make it here. Now it wasn't just a question of if he could beat the heroes. It was more on how long he can keep them occupied. As for Overhaul, I don't think he can manipulate matter to change phases.

There is not really much for me to say other than we get some class 1B bits next chapter and Sayo.

As always tell me what you all think and stay safe.
