You already know the gist when it comes to the disclaimer, so let's get started!

Papa held the broken glasses in his hands while saying, "No...it can't be. Brainy would never...would he"? Police Smurf had a solemn expression on his face as he said, "The DNA test matched him. I'm afraid he may be the suspect you're looking for." Smurfstorm was silent, but inside, she was a bubbling volcano of anger. How dare Brainy hurt her sister! How dare he tried to kill her! And over what?! The fact that Smurfette chose Aria over him?! She clenched her jaw tightly and balled her fists tightly, trying her best not to snap and give in to the urge to storm over to his mushroom and beat him senseless. However, between having to see Aria recover from a life0sving surgery and comparing it to how she first found her, her anger levels only grew. Papa could tell that Smurfstorm was ready to go full-on ballistic on Brainy, but Papa knew that no smurf was ever truly guilty unless they admitted it themselves. S, he slowly faced her and said in the most calming voice that he was able to muster, "Smurfstorm, we don't yet if Brainy really is guilty of this crime. Just because his glasses were found there does not mean that he was there. We will question Brainy in the morning, but until then, do you think you can try not to let your anger get the best of you? I know you're only feeling this way because of seeing your sister hurt, but imagine what she'd be feeling if she saw you like this. she wouldn't want you to attack anyone, albeit if they are guilty or not."

Smurfstorm then remembered how Aria acted a couple of minutes ago when she almost lost it after suggesting that Gargamel did this. Seeing Aria shaken up, especially since she had just woken up after sleeping off the anesthetics, tore her mentally. Slowly, Smurfstorm started to take some deep breaths to calm down before saying, "Fine, but just so we're clear, unless he can prove that he's not guilty, I'm sticking to the assumption that he did do it, and he better pray that he doesn't cross with me if he did." Smurfstorm then went to join her friends, who were asleep in front of Dabbler's mushroom. While they were happy that Aria could return home tomorrow, they decided to stay out and sleepover so they could be first to see her again in the morning. Papa and Police smurf started to head towards their respective houses to get some sleep, but it was hard, especially for Smurfstorm. She couldn't sleep a wink because she kept thinking about Brainy being the possible suspect. With every toss and turn, her assumptions grew to beliefs, as did her anger levels again. Smurfstorm was going to get answers from that smurf...one way or another. This situation had just grown personal, and unfortunately for Brainy, he messed with the bull and was about to get the horns.

Early the next morning, after a sleepless night, Smurfstorm arose from her sleeping bag, deciding on what she would do. She grabbed her gear, some rope, and a frying pan from SmurfAggie's bag. Quietly as she could, Smurfstorm snuck from the group and tiptoed to Brainy's mushroom. However, just as she was about to arrive, she saw Brainy stumbling his way towards the forest while holding something in particular, though it was hard since he did not have his glasses. This made her suspicions rise to a whole new level as she followed him secretly, wondering what he was up to at this hour. A couple of times, she had to hide behind the nearest shrubbery because Brainy would look to see if anyone was following him. After a while, he stopped at an old tree as Smurfstorm watched from behind a bush. She saw that Brainy was digging a hole, a small hole, but big enough for whatever he was trying to bury. The items he had were a ripped cloth, and not just any cloth, cloth from Aria's nightgown, and also what looked like a small wood-whittling knife. This confirmed it as Smurfstorm then grabbed the frying pan and tiptoed up to him, making sure he did not hear her. Once she was close enough, she slammed the frying pan onto his head with one swing, knocking him out. As he fell and passed out instantly, she whispered, "How does it feel to be the one hit in the head, Brainy"?

While he was out cold, he picked him up and tied him tightly to the tree, making sure he had no chance of escaping unless she cut him free. After a while, Brainy came to it, only to realize that he was trapped and unable to escape. The first thing he saw was Smurfstorm, who had a deep, deep glare as she asked, 'What's the matter? Stuck"? He struggled while saying, "Let me out of this, Smurfstorm! Papa Smurf and Smurfwillow will be very disappointed when they hear about this"! Smurfstorm got up close to him., making the intelligent smurf shrink back in fear, especially when they shouted, "This has nothing to do with them! This is personal! And unless you want to be stuck there for the rest of your life, you'll tell me everything you know"! Brainy continued to struggle as he asked, "About what? I don't need to tell you anything! I only answer to those who ask politely"! Smurfstorm had enough of this as she grabbed the frying pan again and slammed it on his left foot, making Brainy scream in pain as Smurfstorm angrily shouted, "Is that polite enough for you"?! After doing it a couple more times, he said while almost sobbing, "Ok! Ok! I tell you! What do you want to know"? Smurfstorm lowered the frying pan as she said, "You know exactly what I want to know about: the attack on my sister, Aria! You were responsible for her near-death experience, and unless you want your foot shattered into a million pieces, you'll admit it to me, then Papa and Willow, then everyone in Smurf Village"! Brainy was terrified as he said, "What happened to Aria?! I wasn't there when she was attacked, and I didn't do it"! She brought the frying pan close to his face while shouting, "Oh, really? Then, why were your broken glasses found INSIDE her house? Plus, why were you trying to bury that piece of cloth, which could only be found on Aria's nightgown"?!

Brainy was more extremely terrified and knew that Smurfstorm had backed him into a corner. Then, something inside him snapped as he shouted angrily, 'Fine! Do you want to know about what I know?! It was me! I did it! And you want to know why I did it? Because she's sick for falling in love with Smurfette! No smurf should fall in love with other smurfs of the same gender, and seeing Aria fall for Smurfette only fueled my anger. I was waiting for the chance to sweep her off her feet, as we are inevitable of ending up together, but then Aria came and ruined everything! I wanted her out of my way, so I came up with the idea to prevent her from going near Smurfette by putting her in an eternal coma. However, I messed up on the potion making and made a tranquilizing potion instead, but as I realized my mistake, I thought of a way to make this even better. So, I first casually came up to her dragonfly and gave it some food, but secretly, the food had sleeping powder mixed in with it, and the moment Fireball ate it, it went right to sleep.

Then, I snuck into her house and waited for Aria to come home. After she did come in and got ready for bed, I seized the opportunity and knocked her out by hitting her with my Bunsen Burner. Then, to make sure she did not get up, I administered the tranquilizing potion, and she was out like a light. Somehow after she lost consciousness, I lost total control of myself and beat her up, as with each hit, it was like a personal slap to the face for what she's done, especially when I slashed her nightgown and tore it up, grabbing a piece of it with me. Then, I did something that I am not proud of and used that knife and stabbed her in the stomach. Once I realized what I was doing, I panicked and tried running to the window, but I tripped over her body and fell, my glasses falling off and breaking, especially when I stepped on them. I climbed out the window, snuck back into my house, and hid the knife under my bed. I came up with the idea to sneak out in the morning to hide this stuff in hopes that no one would notice me as I did it, and I would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for you, Smurfstorm."

Smurfstorm was stunned, angry, hurt, and downright infuriated. The fact that Brainy, of all smurfs, had attacked her own flesh and blood out of jealousy and spite for his failed romance fantasy! Aria almost died because of his actions. But...his reign of terror would end now. What he did not know was that she had been recording his confession the whole time. Despite her increasing anger, she was somehow able to maintain her cool. However, everything went out the window when Brainy said with a deep, evil smirk, "And you know something? If she ever recovers, I'd do it again." Smurfstorm lost it and slammed the frying pan on his foot and his face over and over again while shouting as tears fell, "You'll! Never! Hurt! My! Sister! Or! Anyone! Else! Again"! After Brainy developed many bruises on his face and his nose started to bleed, she untied him from the tree before tying him up again and dragging him back to the village along with the evidence.

Once she got back to the village, the sun was starting to rise as Papa had come out to stretch with the sun when a startling sight welcomed him. Smurfstorm tossed a bruised and bloodied Brainy in front of him while Smurfstorm said with hatred in her voice, "Here's our suspect. and before you ask, here's your proof," as she placed the cloth and knife in front of him. Then, she pulled out what looked like a tape recorder from inside her scarf. She then clicked play as it played Brainy's entire confession, much to Brainy's charging and Papa's dismay. He looked at Brainy as he said with disappointment in his voice, 'Brainy...I never thought you'd be one to act in such a vile manner. I must say I'm very disappointed in you, and I'm sorry to say that you'll have to pay for your actions. I'll have Police Smurf bring you to the tower where you'll be contained until we can think of a suitable punishment for you." Brainy could only look down in shame and mutter, "I'm sorry, Papa Smurf." He ushered Police Smurf to bring Brainy to the tower as the intelligent smurf sighed in defeat as he was carried off, leaving Smurfstorm to let her tears fall slowly as she covered her face with her hands, sobbing silently while dropping to her knees. Papa hugged her while helping her up, saying, "Smurfstorm, I must say that while I am truly disappointed in Brainy, I am proud of you, Smurfstorm. Your passion for justice is above anyone else's, and the fact that you kept pursuing the truth for your sister's honor truly shows how dedicated you are to your family."

Smurfstorm sniffled and wiped the tears from her eyes while saying in a soft tone of voice, 'Thanks, Papa. I'm sorry for giving our criminal a bruised face and bloody nose, but I'm glad now that justice has been served. hopefully, he learns his lesson and never does something like this again." Papa placed a comforting hand on her shoulder while saying, "I have an idea for a suitable punishment for Brainy. But for now, why don't you see your sister? I know she'll be wanting to see you before she can leave." Smurfstorm smiled as she left to go to Dabbler's place and visit her recovering sister. Her friends were beginning to wake up as Smurfstorm walked inside Dabbler's mushroom and saw Aria typing her bandanna on. Earlier, she woke up, and Dabbler allowed her to get changed and put on her clothes, starting with her shoes, dress, and leather jacket and was now putting her red bandanna on while her hat was hanging on the chair next to her torn nightgown. Smurfstorm smiled as she said, "Feeling any better, Ari"? Aria smiled as she said, "Definitely a lot better. Though the stick on my stomach is a bit itchy and will be tough to deal with for two weeks, but other than that, I'm perfectly fine. The back of my head no longer hurts, luckily." Smurfstorm chuckled as Smurflily, SmurfAggie, and Smurfette joined in, wanting to see Aria as well. SmurfAggie spoke up, saying, 'Glad to see that you're feeling better, Aria. We were worried about you." Smurflily added, "It's great to see you well again, sister." Aria smiled and was about to get off the table, but Smurfaggie came over, helping Aria by carrying her to the ground with help from her fairy wings, just in case any jerky movements were able to break the stitch.

Aria slowly started to walk towards her friends as Dabbler joined the group, saying, "Aria, it's wonderful to see you up and about again, but remember. Take it easy a couple of days and avoid doing vigorous activities for a week. Then, come and see me in two weeks to remove the thread holding the stitch together. Understand"? As he gave Aria her hat, she placed it on her head while saying, "Understood Dabbler, and thank you again. I owe you my life." He bowed in appreciation as the group left his place, meeting up with Smurfwillow, who was awaiting their arrival outside. She carefully hugged Aria while saying, "Glad to see that you're feeling better, Aria." Aria smiled, saying, "Feels good to be on my own two feet again. While some of these scars and bruises still need time to heal, and I'll definitely be out of action for a while this stitch heals, I'm just happy that I'm with you guys again. It felt lonely in Dabbler's mushroom, and I missed everyone. Hefty, Clumsy, Greedy, Grouchy, the smurflings, my sisters, my best friends, my girlfriend, and all the other smurfs, especially Papa and Willow." Smurfette slowly ran a stray hand through Aria's dark blue hair while saying, "We're happy that you're feeling better. we thought that we were going to lose you to your injuries." Aria puffed her chest in pride while saying, 'Well, I got a fighter's spirit, and I'll keep fighting till my last breath escapes my body, no matter how wounded or hurt I get. By the way, did you guys ever find out who was my attacker"?

Everyone looked at one another in nervousness as Smurfstorm anxiously scratched the back of her head, looking away in nervousness. At that moment, Papa Smurf came up to the group and heard Aria ask that question. Luckily, he answered for them by saying, "Aria, you don't have to worry about your attacker. Let's just say that your attacker is now contained and will be facing severe punishment. For now, what matters most is your well-being and your slow recovery." Aria smiled, saying, "No worries. I'll be taking things slow and easy until this stitch comes off." Smurfette then decided to ask Aria a hard question, asking slowly, 'Hey Aria? While you recover, would you want to...I don't know...stay at my place? Papa told me that it's going to take a while to remove the bloodstains from inside your house, and I don't know how comfortable you'd be sleeping in there considering what happened." Aria thought about it for a minute before turning to her sisters, asking them, 'Does that sound ok to you guys"? Smurflily nodded, saying, "It's fine by me, as long as I get to visit you every day to make sure you're recovering well." Smurfstorm was hesitant but trusted Smurfette enough to let Aria stay with her. So, she said, "As long as I can visit you every day too, kiddo, then it's ok with me." Aria smiled as she faced Smurfette and answered, "You got yourself a new temporary roommate, Smurfette." Smurfette was ecstatic as she walked Aria over to her mushroom, with her sisters and SmurfAggie trailing behind her.

Inside, with help from Smurfstorm and Smurflily, they were able to set up an extra bed so Aria could sleep next to her and not have to worry about lying in a sleeping bag. Once the spare bed was set up, Smurfette placed the quilt over the covers and placed the bunch of marigolds in a vase next to a nightstand. SmurfAggie even lent Aria a spare nightgown she had for emergencies. Its color was light blue, Aria's second-favorite color. Aria felt extremely grateful for everyone's assistance as she said, "Thank you all for helping me out. And Smurfette, thanks again for letting me stay with you until my house gets cleaned up...or at least until I'm comfortable being in there again." Smurfette placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder while saying with sincerity, "Don't worry. It's going to take some time, but you'll get through this. And you won't be fighting alone. We'll all be there to help you." Smurfette and Aria fist-bumped as Smurfstorm joined in with her own fistbump, saying, 'We got your back, kid." Smurflily joined in too, saying, "It's all for one and one for all." Even SmurfAggie joined in, adding, "We stick together through thick and thin, no matter what gets in our way." The group shared a gentle group hug as they began to head out and share the news of Aria's recovery with the others. As smurfAggie and Smurflily were already out the door, smurfstorm stopped and asked Aria, "You coming, kid"? Aria nodded, saying, "I'll join you in a few minutes." Smurfstorm nodded and went to meet up with her other sister and her friend as Smurfette then remembered something. She brought out the navy blue guitar and gave it to Aria, saying, "Here. This was supposed to be your gift, after all." Aria held it close and strummed it a bit before saying, 'It's beautiful, Smurfette. I'll treasure it with all my heart. though while the guitar is amazing, you're the most beautiful thing that means the most to me."

Smurfette smiled and blushed a deep shade of crimson. As they both felt the urge to kiss again, this time, Aria was the one who leaned in to kiss her. However, this time, it wasn't on the cheek. Both smurfs locked lips, and for a moment, fireworks went off, even after they separated a few seconds later. Both smurfs were speechless but smiled in approval, meaning that this was something they'd be doing a lot more often. As Aria swung the new guitar onto her back, Smurfette stopped her by saying, "Hold on. Before we go to see everyone, you mind if I rebraid your hair"? Aria nodded, saying with a slightly pink blush, 'I'd like that very much." She sat down in a nearby chair that was in front of Smurfette's vanity. Slowly, Smurfette began to move her hairbrush along Aria's dark blue hair, the recovering smurf sighing in content with each careful stroke. For Aria, this was a surreal and relaxing feeling, so far, the best she's felt since the attack, and as for Smurfette, the feeling was mutual. After a couple more strokes with the brush, Smurfette began to carefully braid Aria's hair, making sure to be gentle in case her head was still hurting. After about 10 minutes, Smurfette was done as she reattached Aria's red four-leaf clover in its usual spot, saying with a smile, "There we are. You look smurfy, Ari." Aria looked in the mirror and smiled in content, saying as she slowly got up, "Thanks, Smurfette." The two smurfs then locked lips again in another "couple of seconds long, but still significant" kiss as they walked out of the mushroom to reunite with everyone.

Not too far away, Gargamel was stirring a bowl full of green, disgusting liquid, as he shouted in annoyance, "Bah! Swamp soup again, all because we can't find those pesky smurfs"! Azarel yowled in disgust, especially since it had only three peas on its plate while wishing it had a big, juicy mouse or smurf to eat. Suddenly, a knock on the door caught Gargamel's attention as he shouted, "Alright! I'm coming"! Once he opened the door, he looked down and was in for a shock at who was at the door. It was Brainy, who still had deep, dark blue bruises and a broken, bleeding nose, courtesy of Smurfstorm and her frying pan. Gargamel knelt to the intelligent smurf's level, saying, 'What? Never has a smurf come to me. Do you really desire to be captured by me that badly"? Brainy explained his reasons, saying, "I've been kicked out of my village because I attempted to rid it of a pesky, annoying brat, but I was caught and unable to get away with it." Now, this was a half-truth. Yes, Brainy got caught for his crimes, but he was actually awaiting his punishment. Not wanting to face the village for what he tried to do, he snuck out of the tower and escaped unnoticed before running off into the forest. He had nowhere to go, no family, and if he were to be put on trial and found guilty, he would only be seen as an outlaw. Brainy only wanted one thing because of this: revenge, and knew just where to go to exact his "rightful vengeance." With that, he decided to go to Gargamel and actually make use of that useless wizard and his mangy cat. Back to the present, Brainy continued by saying, "Now, I only desire to exact vengeance against those who have betrayed me. So, I came to the one person who could help me on my quest." Gargamel scoffed at Brainy, saying, "You, a little blue smurf, want my help in exacting vengeance? I could help you, but what do I get in return"? Brainy knew just what to say as he said with malice in his voice, "I can tell you the location of Smurf village, and you can have easy pickings to any smurf of your choosing, including a special smurf who has magic powers. Imagine if you could gain them from her. You can rule not only this world but other worlds as well. Imagine everyone trembling in fear over the great and powerful Gargamel." For Gargamel, this was a deal too precious to pass, so he said with an evil grin, "Alright, smurf. you're in."
