Oh my gosh, I had so much fun writing this chapter! There is so much romantic tension I'm probably gonna explode! I know that there's only one person in the whole world who ships Moth more than me (Hi, Nok) and I just... Hope we're all well fed tonight lol.

The hoodie was only the first in a new trend of Seth stealing Morgan's clothes. And it wasn't even just clothes. Seth seemed to be adopting more and more of Morgan's characteristics as their unemployment stretched on. Morgan had come home to find Seth binging Steven Universe on more than one occasion but what had really startled her was what happened next.

"Are those my wings, babe?" Morgan asked, clearly looking at Seth wearing her wings.

"Mm, no, I don't think so?"

"Why are you wearing my wings?"

Seth glanced at the unfurled wings, "Oh, these!"

"Why are you wearing them?"

"I was working on making them lighter. Don't want to kill you, babe."

"Right, thanks, I know that's not it. What's going on?"

"Okay so I was hanging out with GoGo, doing self-defense class, and I had a job interview today."

"And those two things are related?"

"Uh, yes."

"How are those related?"

"I'm getting to it. I didn't get it."

"The job?"

"No. I thought it might be a good fit, entry-level engineering shit, but no."

"Oh, Seth, I'm so sorry."

"It's behind me. So anywhere, bombed an interview, maybe I was too confident, maybe I didn't have enough experience, whatever. And then I went to go meet up with GoGo. I love GoGo."

"You love her?" Morgan's eyebrows raised.

"Yeah, her and Honey Lemon? They're great. I ship them. GoGo is like Pain and Honey Lemon is like 1950." It took a moment for Morgan to realize that Seth was talking about King Princess.

"They do seem really nice," Morgan reluctantly agreed.

"So I was hanging with the ladies, training, and I got really fired up, right? Exercise and endorphins or whatever. So it seemed like the only thing to do in the wake of this most recent failure was to come home and mess with something I know I'm good at."

"The wings?" She guessed.

"Bingo."

"Well, they look great. Can I try them on?"

"No, I'm not done. I wear these now. They're my wings."

Morgan crossed her arms, "And what are you going to do with them, Seth Ellis Drake?"

"Vengeance."

"Mm," Morgan nodded, pulling up the calendar on her smartwatch, "That wasn't on my schedule for today. I was actually thinking we could go get dinner. Take off the wings."

"No, I need to do something, I need to make my mark."

"Have you eaten, yet? You seem a little loopy."

"I don't care about dinner, damn it! I've been passed over and ignored and disqualified for too long. I need to do something!"

"So, super-villainy?"

Seth hesitated and then shrugged, "Yeah."

"Why?"

"I'm bored."

"So you're gonna take over the world because you're bored?"

"Who said anything about the world? I was thinking San Fransokyo."

"Babe we're not going to take over San Fransokyo we don't even have a motive."

"We do have a motive, I was bored."

"Do you even have a plan?"

"No, but I have weapons!"

Morgan was caught off guard, "You have weapons?!"

"Glowing swords."

"When did you have time to make glowing swords?"

"Every day while you were at work for the past several weeks, next question."

"I thought you just now reached delusions of grandeur, why have you been working on glowing swords for weeks?"

"Because I promised you a sword, babe, when I introduced you to the Angel of Death. I thought you'd be excited! This is progress. You could run the whole fucking city."

"Seth, genuinely, I want to understand, why would you want that? Why would we want that?"

Seth took Morgan's hands, inches away from her face, "Because we deserve better, Morgan. You only got your cool person job when you shook things up. Let's shake things up, show San Fransokyo what we deserve."

"It doesn't matter what we deserve, Seth, and we do deserve the world, we deserve so much, but all we'd get is prison time. We would be separated." Morgan rested her forehead against Seth's and held her best friend close.

"What are you doing?" Seth mumbled as Morgan tugged the wings off of Seth's trembling shoulders.

"This is my burden, babe. You're going to change the world, not burn it down. People don't see how incredible you are yet but they will!"

"We have to make them see!"

"And we will. But not with glowing swords. Not with a reign of terror. That's someone else's job." Morgan thought about the man with the glowing face that had really freaked Hiro out. Morgan didn't know what her future held but she did know what their present held.

"It's a beautiful night, let's make a picnic and stargaze."

Seth sighed, "Okay. I guess I need to cool down a bit…"

"Do you want to go make us some sandwiches? Or grab some Lunchables or whatever?" Seth nodded and wandered off.

"You look cute today!" Morgan added, "I love those overalls, king!"

"Stop it," Seth was blushing when they returned. Then a puzzled look appeared on their face.

"Why'd you put on the wings, Morgan?"

"Because I thought a night flight sounded nice. Come on." Morgan, without much warning, scooped Seth up bridal style.

"Morgan, this is crazy." Seth was surprised but didn't fight it too hard.

"Five minutes ago you were trying to take over the world with glowing swords."

"We would look pretty badass with glowing swords."

"Hell yeah, we would. And next time the world needs vengeance I'll test those swords."

"Oh! Wasabi does fencing. Maybe he can teach you." Seth seemed so eager and much less evil than earlier, Morgan couldn't turn down their suggestion. Plus they'd wrapped their arms around her neck and Morgan's heart was racing now as they took to the sky. There was a moment before they launched that Morgan thought that they would fall but at least they would fall together.

But they didn't fall. The sky was made for them, and they belonged in it. Seth let out a gasp their first few seconds flying. They had designed the wings but hadn't experienced the wind or the way it pushed their hair into Morgan's face.

"The stars are something else from up here!" Morgan shrieked so Seth could hear her over the wind, and for the first time, it occurred Seth to look away from Morgan's face and take in the surroundings. It was beautiful out, and the stars truly were amazing, but it didn't take long before they were focused back on their angel.

When they landed, settling on a nearby apartment roof and spreading out their humble dinner, Morgan stretched out and grinned.

"I'll point out the constellations if you'll pay attention."

"I'll pay attention," Seth promised, resting their head on Morgan's shoulder, paying close attention to Morgan's Astronomy lecture and the way she lit up when she talked about her passion.

Question of the week: Have you listened to King Princess? Are you attracted to King Princess?
