Azure: Well! What's this? A requested battle? Bout damn time. This was requested by Autistic Grizzly, check him out. If anyone wants to see a battle, just leave a request or hit me with a PM.

Bryant: Who says you need powers to defeat the big bad? There are certainly badasses who can certainly be admired on their own, but often find themselves as parts of impressive teams.
Thea: Snake-Eyes, the ninja commando of G.I Joe.
Bryant: and Nightwing, the first Robin.
Thea: So, which of these are we looking at?
Bryant: Good question. For this battle, we'll be looking at Nightwing from the Post-Crisis comics. And for Snake-Eyes, we'll be looking at the RAH G.I Joe Marvel Comics, as this is arguably the most iconic.
Bryant: I'm Bryant Reese.
Thea: And I'm Thea Price.
Bryant: And we're here to analyse these two fighters and find out who would win, a WI Battle!

Snake-Eyes:
Thea: Hell yeah, Snake-Eyes!
Bryant: You're quite excited.
Thea: This guy is definitely one of my favorite characters in fiction!
Bryant: Snake-Eyes is a pretty mysterious character for the most part. Real name? Birthplace? Birthday? There isn't much that we know about him. But what we do know is that he was once a soldier serving in a tour of duty in the Vietnam War as a member of Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol, or LRRP.
Thea: While there, Snake-Eyes met a fellow soldier, named Thomas S. Arashikage, also known as Tommy. The two became good friends. Tommy even saved Snake-Eye's life when he was almost left for dead.
Snake-Eyes:

Bryant: But when he returned home, he didn't return to open arms, but rather, cold rejection.
Thea: Yeah, his sister and parents were killed in a car accident, and no one liked him because he fought in Vietnam, which gave him a bad rep. So instead, he decided to pack up and go to Japan.
Bryant: There, he was welcomed by Tommy and his ninja clan: the Arashikage clan. Which was run by Tommy's uncles: the Hard Master and the Soft Master.
Thea: Pff! Hahahaha! The Hard Master and the Soft Master?! What the heck is up with those names!
Bryant: There, Snake-Eyes began a life of constant training and meditation alongside Tommy, even going as far as to surpass him in the form of one-on-one combat, though Tommy was easily the better archer. The Hard Master even believed that Snake-Eyes would be the one who would succeed him as head of the clan.
Thea: But when he tried to teach Snake-Eyes the Darkened Room technique, the Blind Sword, the dude was straight up assassinated!
Bryant: With the clan head dead and Tommy assumed to be the killer, the Arashikage clan was disbanded, and Snake-Eyes returned to America to live in the High Sierras. Eventually, he was found by Stalker, who served alongside Snake-Eye and Tommy in Vietnam, and his partner Hawk, who had been the one who informed Snake-Eyes of his family's death.
Thea: They convinced Snake-Eyes to join their new Special Agent task force, meant to defend human freedom from the Cobra terrorist organization, which Tommy joined as Storm Shadow. This task force was called the Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity, a.k.a, G.I. Joe.
Bryant: There, Snake-Eye, teaming up with fellow agent Scarlett, proved himself to be quite the recruit.

Thea: I'll say! He literally knows Kung-Fu, plus Karate, Jujitsu, Ninjutsu, Tae Kwon Do, and that's not even including what he got from his time in Vietnam and G.I. Joe! He also knows how to use every NATO and Warsaw Pact weapon. Some of these include, but are not limited to, knives, pistols, machine guns, ninja stars, sais, spiked knuckles, batons, machine guns, grappling hooks, grenades, and let's not forget about his favorite Uzi gun, which has a muzzle velocity of 400 m/s and a range of 200 meters.
Bryant: But remember, Snake-Eyes was trained to be a ninja assassin, which means he has to carry around a katana.
Thea: Oh yeah, this sweet baby is a 100-layered laminated carbon steel sword, which he can use to stab through cars and cut cyborgs in half.
Bryant: Being a ninja, Snake-Eyes relies on his stealth for infiltration missions more often than not, but has been able to hold his own.
Thea: Good thing too, cause he soon came face to face with none other than Tommy during an infiltration mission at Silent Castle. Turns out, Storm Shadow was kinda innocent, and the arrow that killed the Hard Master (pfff!) was actually from a squirrel that he hunted. The one who killed their master was actually someone from Cobra, and Storm Shadow was actually trying to build his way up the ranks to find out who. Classic.
Bryant: Snake-Eyes has accomplished much throughout his years as a member of G.I. Joe. He's defeated other memberS of the Arashikage, threw his sword through another ninja's face from 22 meters away, threw his sword at yet another ninja through a windshield straight into his neck, and kicked yet another ninja so hard, he flew through the air and broke a wooden fence.
Thea: He also was put through a Brain-Wave Scanner, which was like a torture device mixed with a mind reading device, when Cobra managed to catch him and tried to steal the location of the Joes' Base. Despite being, well, tortured, he just distracted himself and kept the location hidden before using a special technique to make himself look dead! Yeah, no girlfriends getting any secrets from him. Oh, and he fought the Decepticons. Yes, the Decepticons, like in Transformers. Yes, this actually happened. Man, Snake-Eyes is a badass.
Bryant: If that wasn't enough, Snake-Eyes, in one of his earlier missions, saved his friend Scarlett in a helicopter crash. Despite being hit in the face by a jet of flaming vapor, resulting in third degree burns and scorched vocal cords, he still stormed a building and saved his sister's fiance in a rescue mission before having to spend 6 months in the hospital despite the agonizing pain and the discouragement from his teammates.
Thea: And even after all that, he still never slowed down. Snake-Eyes is a badass, through and through!

Nightwing:
Bryant: We've already covered Jason Todd, the Red Hood, the second Robin. Certainly a badass Robin at that.
Thea: But he's obviously not the only Robin. There were several! After Jason was Damian Wayne, and then Tim Drake. I like Tim Drake. He's the best Robin to me.
Bryant: Well, for me, the best Robin is Dick Grayson. Afterall, all the other Robins are simply living his legacy.
Nightwing:
-Real Name: Richard Grayson
-Age: 22
-Height: 178 cm
-Former agent of Spyral
-The first Robin
-Was engaged twice
-Has a weakness to redheads
-Acted as Batman for a decent amount of time
-Led both the Teen Titans and the Young Justice League for a bit
Thea: But since this is comics, he wasn't a Robin right away for the sake of being a Robin. Little ol' Dick Grayson was the son of a pair of circus performers called the Flying Graysons, and he was trained alongside them to become a master acrobat.
Bryant: But when the owners refused to pay the protection money demanded by Tony Zucco, their wires were cut, sending his parents to their death. Horrifying young Dick and the citizens of Gotham. But amongst the citizens of Gotham was Bruce Wayne, who sympathized with the young acrobat.
Thea: We all know Bruce. He's the Batman, and he decided to take Dick in as his ward. Dick soon found out that Bruce was Batman when the two went on separate missions to find Zucco.
Bryant: Bruce looked at Dick and found someone who he could relate to. Realizing what was the best thing he could do for Dick at the time, Batman offered to make Dick his sidekick. And after six months of grueling training, Dick passed a special test and became crowned as Robin.
Thea: Robin was a pretty cool sidekick, especially when he had actual pants. But when he got shot by the Joker, Batman got scared and ended Dick's career as Robin for good. Then promptly forgot about this with Jason, Damian, Tim, etc etc.
Bryant: This left Dick in a tough spot. He soon ended up being the leader of the infamous Teen Titans, but ended up falling out with Batman. Unable to imagine his life any other way besides crime fighting, Dick decided to take up a new mantle. When the Titans were captured by Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke, Dick took to the streets under his new name: Nightwing.
Thea: Nightwing is hella a lot better than Robin! He's got a cooler costume, cooler name, and cooler gadgets.

Bryant: Regarding his costume, Nightwing wears a suit made of Kevlar-lined material. This makes it fire resistant and electrically insulated, while also heavily decreasing high amounts of damage. The suit is also light sensitive which makes it darker when there's more light in an area. His mask has a built-in radio, and night vision. His gauntlets contain sonic and smoke pellets, tracers, and a 100,000 volt stun gun. His boots carry flares, a rebreather, a mini-computer, GPS, lock picks, a mini-cell phone, and flexi-cuffs.
Thea: And when he wants to fight up close and personal, he busts out his escrima sticks. These sweet babies are like shock batons with 50,000 volt tasers, and made of an unbreakable polymer. They also have a grappling function, which is like Daredevil's billy club.
Bryant: And finally, Nightwing is equipped with Wingdings. These are essentially modified Batarangs, and come in a variety of different types.
Thea: He's got sharp, dulled, electric, loud, and explosive. And he can hurl these with high precision. Quite the impressive amount in my eyes.
Bryant: Nightwings is a highly trained martial artist, detective, and leader. He's defeated multiple villains, held back the jaws of an orca, threw KGBeast, punched Barry Pierce through a brick wall, beat a speeding car to its destination, caught up to a speeding train, dodged bullets and even defeated Jason Todd after being electrocuted, tranquilized, and infected with fear toxin. He should also be comparable to Batgirl, who survived a massive explosion which destroyed a decent chunk of a building.
Thea: Damn, not bad! Dick Grayson is definitely one of the best fighters in DC Comics, and one of the best Robins in the history of Robins. Heck, he took up the Batman mantle after Bruce disappeared for a bit, with Damian Wayne as his Robin. He's even good enough to join the Justice League. You know, the ultimate superhero team? Aside from the Avengers.
Bryant: But Nightwing isn't perfect. He's still just a human, and he can't do everything. And even though he can help fight against superbeings, he won't be able to defeat them right off the bat.
Thea: Still. Respect the Nightwing.
(Nightwing) I've seen too much to be Robin, but I'm still too optimistic to be Batman. I'm Nightwing.

Bryant: Alright, the stage is set, time to start this dance.
Thea: Battle ready, set, GO!
-Line Break-
A helicopter flew over the city, flying over a tall building. A dark figure dropped out as the helicopter passed over, rolling as he landed. Snake-Eyes looked around the rooftop before running to the doorway as the helicopter continued on its way, never stopping. He picked at the lock, quickly opening the door. He waited a bit before silently zipping down the stairs. Coming up to another door, he peered in through the window. Spotting no one, he quietly opened the door and snuck through the open room, hiding behind pillars as lights shone through the windows.
"hn…" he stopped and looked around. Spotting a figure, he quickly whipped out a knife and hurled it towards the figure. Nightwing threw a wingding back, knocking the knife out of the air. He stepped out of the shadows with a small grin.
"Well! If it isn't Mr Strong and Silent. How can I help you today?" he said jokingly. Snake-Eyes stared coldly back at him as he took out his Uzi gun and pointed at him. Nightwing deadpanned before shrugging.
"Not Mr Strong and Silent if you talked I suppose." He took his stance, readying himself.
Stay aware!
Fight!
Nightwing dashed towards Snake-Eyes. The silent assassin immediately opened fire, spraying a hail of bullets towards Nightwing. The vigilante dodged to the side, hurling a pair of wingdings towards Snake-Eyes. He grabbed the katana on his back and whipped it out and knocked the shurikens out of the air and fired his Uzi again. Nightwing flipped, dodging the bullets and threw more wingdings towards Snake-Eyes. The ninja spun his katana, knocking the wingdings out of the air again. He grunted as another wingding managed to knock the Uzi out of his hands. He looked up but staggered as Nightwing landed a powerful blow on the side of his face.
Nightwing hit Snake-Eyes again with another punch before flipping backwards, knocking Snake-Eyes through the air. The ninja let out another grunt as he landed on the hard ground. Snake-Eyes quickly rolled backwards and swung his katana towards Nightwing. Nightwing blocked with his gauntlet and pushed it away. Snake-Eyes spun-kicked Nightwing and swung his katana upwards. Nightwing yelped slightly as he flipped backwards, dodging the slash. He landed on his feet and ducked under another slash, uppercutting Snake-Eyes. He quickly kicked the katana out of his hand and ducked down again, knocking Snake-Eyes off his feet with a sweep of his leg.
Nightwing let out a chuckle as he kicked off a pillar and flipped through the air as he brought a leg down towards Snake-Eyes. The ninja quickly rolled across the ground, dodging the kick. The ninja took out a few knives and threw them towards Nightwing. He ducked under the knives, but had to bring up his arms to block a knee to the face. Snake-Eyes spun on a leg to kick Nightwing, slamming him against another pillar. Snake-Eyes took out a pistol and pointed it towards Nightwing. The vigilante grabbed the pistol and pushed it to the side, letting it fire out. Nightwing spun and flipped Snake-Eyes, kicking him twice and knocking him away.
Snake-Eyes rolled backwards and flipped backwards, throwing a pair of knives as he did. Nightwing flipped over the knives before landing and rushing Snake-Eyes. The two quickly exchanged blows, blocking and attacking. Nightwing caught a punch and pushed against Snake-Eyes, the two struggling for a bit before Nightwing headbutted the ninja and knocked him back with another punch. Snake-Eyes pulled out a pair of sais and stabbed towards Nightwing. The vigilante managed to dodge and quickly parried the following stab. Snake-Eyes attacked viciously, with Nightwing alternating between parrying and countering. Nightwing kicked rapidly, knocking Snake-Eyes away.
Snake-Eyes glared at him in annoyance before running up to him again, attacking with fast stabs. Nightwing grunted as he was grazed on the cheek. Snake-Eyes jumped and did a spin-kick, knocking Nightwing back. Nightwing stood up and touched the small cut.
"Come on. I have a date tomorrow!" he groaned. Snake-Eyes flipped towards Nightwing, slamming a leg against his crossed arms. He kicked up and slammed his foot against Nightwing's chest and sprung backwards. Nightwing slammed against a pillar with a grunt. Snake-Eyes leapt to the side, disappearing into the shadows. Nightwing quickly scrambled to his feet and dove into the shadows as well. He turned on the night vision in his mask and quickly spotted the ninja and hurled several wingdings towards him. Snake-Eyes ducked under them and snatched up the Uzi and katana as he dashed by, sheathing the katana. He spotted a silhouette and unloaded a volley of bullets towards him. Nightwing flipped backwards, dodging the bullets and hurled wingdings towards him. Snake-Eyes shot the weapons out of the air and continued to fire towards Nightwing, who hid behind a pillar.
"You're a good shot! I'll give you that!" he yelled over as he pulled out some more wingdings. Snake-Eyes stopped and reloaded, looking up to see Nightwing charging towards him. Nightwing brought his hands back, and hurled the wingdings towards him. Snake-Eyes grunted silently as he used the Uzi to block one as he jumped back, letting the wingdings pass over him. He rolled onto his feet and fired towards Nightwing. Nightwing quickly dodged and kicked the Uzi out of his hand and slammed a powerful punch into his chest. Snake-Eyes grunted and took out his sais and quickly stabbed Nightwing in the side. He yelled in pain before kicking the ninja back. Snake-Eyes tried to stab him again, but was grabbed and thrown towards the window. Nightwing ran up to him and kneed him in the stomach, breaking the window and sending them both tumbling out.
"Oh crap!" Nightwing said as he fired a grappling hook towards the top of the building. Swinging, he grunted as he brought his feet up and kicked Snake-Eyes through the window near them. As they tumbled across the floor, Nightwing shot another grappling hook at the ceiling and pulled himself up. Snake-Eyes landed on his feet, pulling out his katana and took his stance. He spun and dodged a swing from Nightwing's escrima sticks. The vigilante flipped towards him, swinging down his escrima sticks towards Snake-Eyes.
The ninja jumped back, dodging the repeated flip swings. Nightwing grunted as he stopped and ducked under a katana swing. He brought up his escrima sticks and blocked another swing. Snake-Eyes grunted as he and Nightwing swung at each other, their weapons colliding several times. Nightwing managed to hit Snake-Eyes in the face with one of his escrima sticks, creating a flash of light and stunning him. Snake-Eyes staggered back before recovering and threw a pair of ninja stars. Nightwing swung his escrima sticks and managed to knock them out of the air. He grunted as Snake-Eyes continued to throw ninja stars towards him. Nightwing continued to knock them out of the air before Snake-Eyes kicked him in the stab wound. Nightwing cried out as he fell on his backside. His escrima sticks fell out of his hands and clattered on the ground.
"Shit!" he cursed. Snake-Eyes pointed his katana towards Nightwing and lunged forwards, the katana shooting forwards towards his face. Nightwing's eyes widened before narrowing. His hand shot up and caught the katana by the blade. Blood spilled onto the ground as Nightwing groaned in pain. He glared at Snake-Eyes and turned on the taser in his hand, shocking the ninja. Snake-Eyes dropped the katana and fell backwards as Nightwing shot towards him. He grabbed Snake-Eyes by his suit and threw him out of the window. Snake-Eyes flipped in the air and shot a grappling hook towards the building. Nightwing jumped out the building and threw a wingding towards the rope, cutting it. Snake-Eyes flailed his limbs as he fell to the streets below. Nightwing threw another wingding after him before using his grapple gun and pulling himself back into the building. He rolled across the ground, grunting as he stopped. He listened, before an explosion rang out. He stood in pain and slowly walked over to the window, looking down as a small fire burned.
"Well. That went well." he said sarcastically.
KO!
Thea: Aw, F*CK! Why!
Bryant: Snake-Eyes was certainly a deadly opponent. He was slightly more skilled in infiltration and stealth. And compared to Nightwing's, his arsenal was slightly more lethal.
Thea: One has ninja stars and tasers, the other has ninja stars and guns. But that doesn't automatically give him the win, even though that would've been awesome.
Bryant: Nightwing's arsenal may have been less lethal, but it was slightly more versatile, giving him more options in the battle. And while both were highly trained warriors, Nightwing knew more martial arts than Snake-Eyes, and was trained for most of his life, while Snake-Eyes started during his Vietnam training.
Thea: Plus, while Snake-Eyes may have fought a bunch of ninjas and the Decepticons, Nightwing had more experience from leading the Teen Titans, Young Justice, and being a part of the Justice League. A really good ninja like Snake-Eyes is unfortunately nothing he hasn't seen before.
Bryant: And when looking at the two's physical abilities, the difference is pretty clear cut. Nightwing can scale to Batgirl, who survived an explosion that obliterated a large part of a building.
Thea: Snake-Eyes was in a similar state after only a helicopter explosion.
Bryant: Nightwing was strong enough to punch a man through a brick wall in a one-on-one fight.
Thea: Snake-Eyes only broke a wooden fence with a similar attack.
Bryant: Snake-Eyes was certainly an impressive fighter, and he certainly didn't make it easy for Nightwing. But in the end, the vigilante was just too much for the ninja to handle.
Thea: Man, Snake-Eyes just couldn't Wing it in this battle. Which means the winner of this WI battle is Nightwing!
And there we are, Snake-Eyes vs Nightwing. Thank you Autistic Grizzly for the request, I actually like writing this chapter a decent amount. Two blonde knights were battling, locked in fierce combat before one seemed to gain the upperhand. His opponent yelled things at the knight, intimidating him as he stepped back away from her. Or at least, that's what it looked like from afar.
"So! What will your perverted mind think of next! Surely you intend on strapping me down and treating me as nothing more than an object for your carnal pleasure! I shouldn't allow you too, but I must submit!"
"Will you please stop that?! You're making me sound like a deviant!"
