"I could spill your druggie secrets right now..." Mathew continued. Alex's eyes widened by the second.
P.s. This whole story isn't just a flashback. The Flashback comes in later
Flashback
"You wouldn't" alex finally said.
Mathew's eyes lit up and he smiled a horrible smile "Oh yes I would."
"OI! No sharing secrets!" Eagle bounded over.
"Oh don't worry, I was going to spill them." Mathew turned to them "but first, where's the hut?"
Snake crossed his arms, clearly not liking this new addition "Firstly, we need to get the new kiddos out of the truck."
Mathew rolled his eyes. The teens came out of the car.
"ALEX!" The first boy out shouted and ran up to him and Alex found himself engulfed in a hug.
"James?" He asked
"Yep, thats me" James Spritz laughed. "Good to see ya."
"You too mate." Alex hugged back, happy to see another friend.
"Oh and thanks." James added on. K-unit shared looks that said 'why's he thanking him' and 'whats going on'.
"No problem." Alex shrugged after the hug parted.
"No it wasn't just 'no problem' it was a big problem mate. You almost got dissected, almost got shot about a billion times but still managed to safe my life and others!"
K-unit glanced at each other with worried looks whilst Mathew stood their with his eyes popping out of his head. What has this druggie done to safe him. Its a lie and I know that. He thought to himself.
*warning: if you haven't read Scorpia Rising then don't read this next bit. I'll tell you when you can start reading again*
James continued after taking another breather "and then when the day I go to learn at Cairo college of arts. I see you and... you fighting at the top balcony over the hall. HOLDING GUNS FOR GODS SAKE!" He lowered his voice "As soon as I saw you, you stumbled and I thought you got shot! What happened!"
"You went to Cairo?" Was all Alex replied with.
"Ye-"
"I didnt see you"
"I arrived that very day." Alex was about to speak but James held his hand up to tell him not to "You don't understand how worried I was when I saw you chasing after a copy of you... or was it the other way around, then the storm started and I got into a nearby taxi."
Alex paled. There was a taxi right next to him when...
"I looked outta the window and I saw one of you on the floor, pistol about a metre away and the you standing pointing a gun at the other you. You turned and walked off, I THOUGHT THAT WAS IT ALEX! I thought it was over but no. The fallen had reached for the gun and pointed it at the one walking away." Alex tried to speak but got nothing in "it all happened in slow motion... you span around. Gun held up. I saw two bullets whizz by the window as well as the horrible gun shot sound that I remember from point blanc. I blinked and looked out of the window once more, you were walking off, head down, gun loosely in your grip. My eyes flickers to the blood spreading from the other you's head. DIRECT HEAD SHOT ALEX! Where'd you learn that from?! I looked back at you and watched as your gun dropped to the ground and splashed in one of the many puddles that had grown."
*flashback*
(AN: hiya yall. This part is confusing. So Alex made his way to the helicopter that was gonna take him to the base (you know... where Jack was blown up) he got in the copter after a while and went to the place, it all got sorted out, blaa blaa. Right now he is standing back outside Cairo college after landing there on top of the building where the landing spot is. He came out of the school and is standing looking back at Julius who still is lying dead by the side of the road and Alex is now holding the gun he was allowed)
The gun clattered with a splash to the ground. Tears ran down his face along with the rain that soaked him fully. He remembered the shot he'd made and would more than likely have it engraved in his head forever. Alex had expected his clone, Julius Grief, to grab that gun off of the floor and take his chance. He'd hoped with all he could give that Julius wouldn't do that. But of course he did and thats why Alex had to kill him. Alex gave Julius his chance and the clone didnt use it. Alex turned back around, picked up the gun and flipped it around in his hand. He opened it up and saw that there was one bullet left, swiftly he shut the camber again and turned off the safety he had put on after making the killing shot. He held it up to his head and was about to pull the trigger.
*you can read on now if you didnt read Scorpia Rising*
Alex shook his head... time for a game of Russian Roulette.
(AN: if anyone has read russian roulette then they will know what it is but for others, youll just have to read this to find out)
He opened the gun's chambers again and took out the last bullet. He shut his eyes and put it in one of the bullet slots and then closed the gun again. Alex held it up to his head and took a deep breath. His finger was curled around the trigger. 1/6 chance to die. Roughly 84% chance of survival. He didnt care if he died. He cared if he lived. But the world needed him, or more pacifically, Blunt needed him to do his work. Thats why he's playing this game. Lets turn the fractions an percentages into Alex's opinion. 1/6 chance of freedom. 84% chance of staying in a life thats not worth living and being controlled almost fully 24/7. Yes, Alex is suicidal.
He squeezed the trigger.
CLICK.
No bullet smashed into his head and he sighed. He was going to do this 6x. Alex opened the chamber, took out the bullet, shut his eyes, put the bullet back in randomly and shut the chamber after reopening his eyes, held the gun to his head and crossed his fingers with his other hand.
He pulled the trigger.
CLICK.
It went again. Alex redid his process. It was his 3rd time. 3more after this. He crossed his fingers once more as he brought the gun to his head.
Without thinking, he pulled the trigger.
CLICK.
Alex got angry. He wanted to die! "Please" he muttered. All the way along the road. The people in the cars stuck in traffic were just watching. Tears slowly falling down their faces but no one got out to help him.
Alex emptied out the gun and put the bullet back in once more. He pulled it up to his head and once more
Pulled
The
Trigger
It was 'once more' as that was what it was. He didnt do it again. Why on earth would he need to... the gun went-
(AN: I was going to leave it there. But I love you peeps too much)
BANG.
(AN: sorrryyyyyyyyyy)
A hand rested on his shoulder. That saved his life. The bullet would have gone straight into Alex's brain if it wasn't for the stranger who rested a hand on his shoulder. Then he wouldnt have flinched and the bullet wouldnt have gone and missed his brain ever so slightly.
The bullet smashed into his head and his skull shattered at the force of the bullet shot up close. It missed his brain by about 2mm and he fell to the floor. Motionless.
Author's note: don't kill me *runs and cowers behind a sofa*. He's still alive, that was a flashback! *holds up hands in surrender* I've don't nothing wrong!
