The power being out and having nothing to do is very inspiring for writers like me

"It's only a matter of time, Ladybug!" Hurricane shouted, tearing up several decorative bushes as ammunition as the super-heroine did a handspring beneath him. "I've already found the identity of Chat Noir, and his miraculous is soon to follow! Soon everyone will know who you are, too!"

"I wouldn't count on that just yet!" Ladybug called back as she ducked beneath a shrub. Below her mask, though, she was blushing. Could Adrian Agreste be Chat Noir? Surely not- situations in the past had proved as much. The more she argued with it, though, the deeper her blush became. Surely- no, it couldn't have been Adrian who had playfully flirted with her for so long, that was so unlike him. The red-clothed hero gave a decisive shake of her head, only to have to scramble for shelter immediately afterwards as a bush flew past her face. No time for fooling around, then.

"Are you still in denial about who your precious partner is?" The villain threw his hands out to either side in a gesture of simultaneous surprise and amusement. "On that note, where is he now? Clearly he's fled upon his identity being revealed."

"I trust Chat far more than I trust you." Ladybug shouted back. "He would never abandon me- whether his identity was on the line, or not." Hurricane only smirked.

"Where is he, then?" Ladybug's eyes fell to her yo-yo, and she slid it open briefly, searching for any correspondence from her partner, but nothing was there.

"Come on, Chat…" she murmured under her breath.

"Hey!" A voice drew the pair's attention to the ground, where none other than Adrian himself was standing in the center of the half-destroyed square. "While I'm very flattered, recently allegations regarding my secret heroism have been greatly exaggerated!" Ladybug blinked. She didn't understand a word of what he was saying. Was that the same language that the akumatized villain - a tourist - had been speaking?

"That proves nothing, Mr. Agreste." Hurricane's tone was mocking. "Come on up- I need your Miraculous." An instant later, he was swept into the sky.

"Adrian!" Ladybug yelped, immediately leaping for the nearest rooftop. The villain suspended Adrian beside him in the air - who looked remarkably calm, she noticed. Her eyes darted away, searching for a way up, but was interrupted by an enraged cry from the akumatized form above her.

"Where is it?!" He snapped, speaking French once more. "Where is your Miraculous?!"

"Ah, I must've left it in my other jeans." Adrian only gave him a little grin. A scowl growing on his face, Hurricane seized him by the collar and yanked him closer.

"Hiding it from me will not end well for you." He hissed as Ladybug made her way up a nearby cell tower.

"I don't know what to tell you. I don't have any Miraculous." Adrian gave him an easy shrug. Face contorting with rage, Hurricane hurled him away, sending the boy flying towards the Eiffel Tower with a harsh gust of wind.

"Adrian!" Ladybug cried out, immediately throwing her yo-yo in an attempt to catch up, but it had barely landed when a figure in black snatched the model straight out of the air.

"What?" Hurricane's shout echoed through the square as the unmistakable form of Chat Noir landed in a crouch on the rooftop below, gently setting Adrian on his feet. He offered the boy a sharp salute before hopping over the edge of the building, disappearing into the alley below.

"Looks like your reveal was just a little off." Ladybug turned her triumphant gaze back on her foe, secretly relieved that she hadn't been dissuading her crush's affection this entire time.

"That isn't Chat Noir!" Hurricane protested. "He can't be! It's a fake!"

"Sure thing." Grabbing a windowsill for support, Ladybug slid her yo-yo open once more, speed-dialing her partner. "Chat, get Adrian to safety, and then I need your help over here." There was a brief moment of silence before his response came.

"Um… oui." He then promptly hung up. Ladybug gave her communicator a side-eye, but shook it off, and leapt back into the fray.

Lydia vaulted over a railing and landed flat on her feet in the alley below, letting out a whoop.

"That was the best!" She shouted.

"Yes, please give me back my Miraculous." Adrian reached out a hand anxiously. Lydia grabbed the ring on her finger, staring at it longingly for only a moment longer before slipping it off and placing it in her palm. Adrian snatched it from her hand as she transformed back in a flash, looking up briefly for any sign of an audience, before he offered a somewhat-dizzy Plagg a piece of cheese hiding in his jacket.

"Not a bad performance, mademoiselle." Plagg complimented her between bites. Lydia smoothed her windswept hair down.

"Thanks, bro."

"Are you ready?" Adrian raised the little creature up to eye level, where Plagg grudgingly finished his meal in a single bite. Chat proceeded to transform himself again, and, with a thankful nod to the pair in the alley, vanished into the sky.

"Was it all you had ever dreamed it would be?" Karen signed at her. Lydia sighed, letting her body slump back against the wall of the alley.

"And more, yes." Her head tilted back, eyes closing blissfully. "Oh wow, I want to do that again." A brief pause. "That would be incredibly irresponsible, though. Miraculous are only supposed to be used for… helpful… things."

"You were quite helpful." Karen signed assuringly. Lydia did not see, as her eyes were closed.

The alley was very quiet, the streets nearby empty as the pair of heroes fought the akumatized villain. Karen peeked out from behind a wall, only to duck back as a concrete brick slammed into a window not far away. She was quietly grateful for Ladybug's magic that returned everything to normal after the fight was over.

She reached over to tap Lydia's arm. Upon gaining her attention, she signed,

"We should go watch, so we can get Morro when they beat him."

"Mm. Yeah." Lydia pushed herself off the wall, stumbling a bit in an exaggerated sort of way. "The kwamis have it good. I wish I could eat a cookie and be all healed, uh, rested up." Karen patted her shoulder.

"Truly the dream."

The pair skirted around the square where the fight went on, finding a concrete arch that seemed fairly safe where they spent the remainder of the battle. Morro continued his strategy of throwing things at them haphazardly and shoving them away whenever they got close, occasionally zooming himself around for a little extra chaos as well. Ladybug eventually activated her Lucky Charm, which created a large square of strong fabric. She then slipped away for a minute, allowing the real Chat Noir to get in a few jabs at the guy who nearly revealed his greatest secret.

Ladybug popped back out a minute later with a strange contraption affixed to her back, waving to get Hurricane's attention. His attention re-fastened on her, he hurled her away just as she managed to catch Chat's hand, sending the both of them flying into the sky. Unluckily for him, that seemed to be her plan, as she rode out from the clouds on a makeshift hang-glider, placing herself between her opponent and the sun to blind him, and dropped Chat Noir - Cataclysm included - straight onto the Realm Crystal that housed the akuma.

Ladybug delivered both Chat and Morro safely onto the ground before she caught the akuma, releasing it as a harmless white butterfly and fixing the damages done to the environment. Although she knew it would happen - it did happen last time, after all - Karen breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the shards of the Realm Crystal reform into their original state.

She spotted Lydia bolting out of the corner of her vision, and turned just in time to see her skid to her knees in front of a startled Morro and squeeze him tightly in her arms.

"Oh goodness, Morro, I'm sorry." She choked out, burying her face in his neck. "I didn't mean to- I'll warn you next time, I promise. Won't do this again."

"Erm, okay, no problem." Morro's hand rose to give her a little pat on the back. "What just happened?"

"Mmph." Karen made her way over, grabbing the Realm Crystal and sitting down cross-legged beside the pair as Chat and Ladybug made their exit. Morro made eye contact with her, but she only shrugged in a way that said I'll explain later. He quirked a brow, but relented, and rested his chin on Lydia's shoulder.

It was a minute before she composed herself, and explained the situation in little bits and pieces. Morro was a combination of horrified and angry, mostly at Hawkmoth for taking advantage of him in the height of his emotions. He readily accepted Lydia's apology, and offered her one of his own - saying he probably overreacted. She just shrugged, never looking up. It seemed she had had plenty enough excitement for the day.

As people began to mill around once more, getting back into the natural rhythm of their lives, a pair of footsteps approached the little huddle on the ground.

"I think I owe you my thanks." A soft voice called over. Lydia raised her head, revealing teary eyes for a moment before she brushed them away.

"H-ha, yeah, maybe, but that was the best thing ever so honestly I think we're even." She rattled out. Adrian gave her a warm smile in return.

"Morro, you're feeling alright after… that?" Morro nodded.

"Not the worst I've experienced. I'm sorry for nearly outing you." Adrian shook his head.

"It couldn't be helped, don't worry." He assured him. "I'm sorry your visit was so, ah, busy."

"Just makes it all the more fun." Lydia threw him a thumbs-up. He gave her one back.

"Welcome to Paris, I suppose!" He flashed the trio a grin, then took a step away. "Well, my father will be looking for me."

"We'll see you later, then." Lydia paused, then shrugged. "Idk how much later, but we'll come back sometime."

"I look forward to it." He gave them a half wave, then walked away. Lydia gazed after him for a moment, then rested her chin on Morro's shoulder.

"Still a bit disappointed I never got to meet Marinette."

"An adventure for next time, I suppose." Was Morro's response. A moment of silence. "Can we leave now?"

"Yeah, that sounds good."
