Chapter 12

Crescent POV

Crescent was standing in the middle of the forest were she was facing Salem with her sword drawn "what do you want?" she said to her.

She saw the woman smiling and placing both her hand together in front of her "why I came to see you and offer you a deal" she gasp in shock to herself when hearing this.

Keeping her guards up "and what sort of a deal!?" she asked carefully studying the woman.

"well I know about your troubles with controlling your emotions and the deep pain you are harbouring for your old lover!" Crescent watched the woman saying while closing her eyes as if in a deep apologetic way.

"so what!" she said not caring if she knew about this.

"well I know you killed many innocent people, I don't blame you for that because they deserved it after all they did call you names" hearing was making her emotions flare up.

"Just spit it out!" she shouted in annoyance.

"okay I can offer you a way to control your emotions and if you join now I can also bring back some one you hold dear" hearing this she slowly looked down at her lover's sword as sadness was running through her.

Just then her lover's voice spoke to her "no don't do this you are better than her she only want to us you" her mind was fighting a war in itself.

"but she said she has a way to bring you back!" she replied in her mind.

"she lies no one can come back from the dead please think about this you have been getting great at controlling your emotions" she faced the woman seeing her just standing there.

'she's right I have been but yet it always fath...! no he is not my dad, Ozpin keeps going on my back making me feel angry' she thought to herself.

"if it help I can even let you kill those who keeps hurting you!" she hears the woman saying.

"and what about those I care for?" Crescent asked her seeing her about to scream out angry but didn't.

"if they don't get in my way then they can live" she looked down on the ground.

Just then memories of her and Ruby came into her mind the cute innocent smile she brought to her making her feel great again looking back up to the woman with a determined face now "your offer seems great and yes you are correct I have killed many innocent people including children but sure they called me names but still they didn't deserve to die I should be dead" she saw the woman smile disappearing "sure my emotions will always keep me painted as the bad person in this story but I don't care I have friends and a lover who are counting on me and I count on them".

She felt the air turning colder around her "even if you can bring back my lover but the memories of that night will never leave me so I am sorry but no I will not join you" she said to the woman.

A few minutes of silence before the woman spoke "shame still" Crescent just then noticed a lot of dark Grimms were now appearing around her "you must still be dealt with so I am sorry kill her" she saw the woman spoke before she vanished leaving a weird looking Grimm with a round head and thine tentacles.

She watched as each different types of Grimms came slowly closer to her just then she held her hand up and a whole bunch of Glyphs appeared and her own Grimms came out charging into the horde of Grimms.

She saw one of Salem Ursa charging towards her as she began to rushed to it sliding under it while using her sword to slice right through it she quickly got up and using her fire ball spell she threw a few towards a couple of Griffin Grimms killing them instantly.

As she looked around she knew she only had two options one stay and fight or two run with this she closed her eyes and shouted out "my Grimms run!" she too then ran looking behind her she saw her Grimms splitting up to thine the evil one's out a bit.

40 minutes into the running

Crescent was starting to feel her lung burning and her legs weakening looking behind her she saw not too many Grimms were behind her turning to face her front she gasp in shock at a massive black claw that swung at her making her fly through the air and crashing into a tree with a "cracking!" sound.

Slowly getting up while feeling pain shooting through her whole body she saw a huge Ursa in front of her about to crush her with one of it's claw swinging her sword upwards slicing through it arm before it could crush her just then she dropped to the ground in pain holding her left side of the ribcage.

"dam!" she grunts in pain using her magic to start healing herself up but only to fail as a Boarbatusk rammed into her causing her to roll across the ground a bit looking up she saw more Grimms were nearing her slowly getting up on her feet trying to ignore the pains that was going through her she felt her anger was rising "I... won't... fall!" she said picking up her lover's sword and rushed the Boarbatusk.

Jumping over it while slicing through it's whole body she then rushed a Centinel dodging it head butting to the right she then rushed up it back stabbing through it head killing.

Pulling her sword out of the ground she was then rammed into once again by another Boarbatusk causing her to crash in to a huge bolder rock making her hear another cracking sound landing on the ground feeling herself slipping into darkness but just then her anger had taken control and a surge of magic burst out of her making her lift in the air and a sudden gust of wind blowing around her making all the Grimms to fly around her like a twister making them crashing into everything trees were being pulled out of the ground but it was too much for her body to take as her magic suddenly went off making her crash into the ground feeling herself slipping out of conscious "DAUGHTER!" she hears a male voice calling out looking up with heavy eyes she saw a man with a cane before finally giving in and blanked out.

Ozpin POV

Ozpin has been searching for his daughter nearly all day now and it was now night time as he was approaching the school grounds when he stopped to hearing wind rushing from somewhere looking around he noticed a twister of some sort in the distance in the forest area "daughter!" he said worried and rushed off to the location.

35 minutes later

He came to a place in the forest seeing a total devastation trees all laying around rocks and dirt everywhere just then he stopped and saw his daughter laying on the ground in a crater with cuts and scratches on her "DAUGHTER!" he screamed out rushing to her side he noticed she wasn't awake picking her up and rushing back to the school infirmary with her wrapped around his arms.

Glynda POV

Glynda was in her office crying to herself with a bottle of wine when she saw her scroll light up looking at it to see it was Ozpin calling her picking it up "if you haven't found our daughter I don't want to speak to...!" she was stopped by him.

"Glynda I have found her but... you best to come to the infirmary" she gasped in fear quickly getting up not caring about her makeup being ruined by her tears she quickly rushed out of her office.

25 minutes later

She came to the infirmary seeing Ozpin and a doctor there talking "how is she!?" she asked worried.

She saw both looking at each other before the doctor started to speak "she has suffered three crack ribs to her ribcage lucky nothing was penetrated she has a fractured arm to her left as well as some cuts and scratches is also seems her body was under a lot of stress" she gasped in horror hearing this.

"whe...where is she!?" she asked shaking in fear.

"she in room four" she hears and began walking to the room.

It wasn't that far when she reached the room looking through the window she saw her daughter laying in the bed with bandages all over her the monitors keeping an eye on her gasping at the sight of her daughter placing a hand over her shock mouth "I found her in forest she must have been fighting something!" she hears Ozpin saying to her.

Wiping a tear away "at least she is alive" she said "I need to tell Ruby" she said.

"I can d..." she stopped him right there.

"no I will do it, it's the least I can do for her I'll be back in a few minutes" she said walking off.

Ruby POV

30 minute later

Ruby was in her room worried about her lover her team has been reassuring her she would be fine but yet she couldn't help worry for her just then a knock was heard on their door walking to the door she saw it was Glynda looking sad she saw her makeup all over the place "Miss Goodwitch" she said hoping for some news.

"Ruby I came to say Ozpin has found Crescent" she breathed a relief of air "but she was found in the forest and is badly hurt" gasping in horror at this.

"how...bad?" she asked feeling sad and trying not to cry.

"the doctor says she has three broken ribs and a fractured arm as well as a few cuts and scratches they say she must've been fighting something in the forest" she looks to the ground in thought.

Looking back up to her "can I see her?" she asked.

"yes but she is still knocked out come I'll take you to her" she turns to her team saying she off to see Crescent before following Glynda out the dorm.

20 minutes later

Glynda POV

They arrived at the room where she saw Ruby holding back tears "she will be fine" she said reassuring her while leading her into the room she let Ruby rush ahead seeing her holding Crescent good arm.

"Crescent!" she hears the hurt in Ruby's voice as she slowly walks to the other side.

45 minutes later

They both just staid in silence watching Crescent breathing in and out when Glynda looked at her watch and saw it was getting late "you best to get back to your room for a sleep you can come back tomorrow" she said seeing her nodding and getting up and walking off "good night my dear daughter I am sorry for lying to you!" she said giving her a light kiss on the forehead before leaving.

The next morning

Glynda woken up early and was down in the infirmary room looking over her daughter seeing her still asleep.

Crescent dreams

Crescent saw she was standing in a village that she recognises taking a deep breath she looked around when she spotted that same shadow figure just standing there looking at her "what do you want!" she shouted to him only to receive no answer "well go on talk, try to get me angry!" she said in anger at him.

"why should I when you seem to be doing a great job yourself" she was stunned by this.

"what..!" she stuttered out.

"well here you are getting angry at me" she saw him placing his hands out in a mocking manner.

"what ever I don't have time" she turned and was about to walk away.

"why didn't you use your anger to help you out!" she stopped when she heard him saying.

"because I don't want to ruin the progress I was making" she said trying to hold her anger back.

"still holding onto this little hope that you will control your emotions and magic" she hears him saying with a sarcastic tone to his voice.

"it's all I have left to keeping them especially my lover Ruby safe from this" she said to him.

"ah yes protecting your precious love" she shuttered at this "you know if you use this anger and let it take control it would help protect her even more".

Backing away from him "nnnnooo...! I would do more harm to her" she said seeing him walking up to her "and besides how would you know?".

"oh trust me I know, you will see soon!" she was confused by this just then she noticed everything around was fading.

Glynda POV

Glynda was sitting next to her daughter when she saw her daughter slowly waking up "daughter!" she said with worry voice.

"mo...ther!" she hears her daughter saying almost like a whisper voice "where am I?".

Getting in front of her daughter "your safe your in the infirmary at Beacon" she said rubbing her daughter forehead.

"how long was I out for?" she hears her asking.

Smiling to her "not long you were out for the whole night" just then she saw her daughter crying "hay what wrong!?" she asked worried about now.

"I...I soooorrryy mum!" she carefully hugs into her daughter as not to damage her even more.

"your okay you have nothing to be sorry for it's me who should be apologising to you for lying to you all these years" she said while continuing to hug into her daughter.

After a while of crying and she had managed to calm down enough "what happened out there?" she asked her.

"well after I ran into the forest to cool off I don't how long or how far I got when I stopped that when I saw her" she was beginning to worry now "I saw Salem" she gasped in horror but her daughter had stopped her before she could say anything "but it wasn't the real her it was a weird looking Grimm that some how made an image of her" she was confused by this as she too never heard of a Grimm type that could do that.

"any way she spoke to me telling me that she knew about my condition and offered me a deal if I join her side she would be able to help me control my emotions and my magic as well as bringing back my dead lover" gasping with shock to hearing.

"but how did she knew about you we kept your condition under secret only your old team knew about you condition plus they were never told about this war" she said feeling confused by this.

"I don't know mum but either way I don't know and she sent her Grimms in to kill me I tried to fight but I got outnumbered by them I did summon my own Grimms but they were too few!" she hears the sadness in her daughter voice.

"it's okay your safe now" she said while hugging into her.

Crescent POV

After she and her mum talked some more there was still one thing she want to get out the way her supposedly father "mum can I see Ozpin?" she asked seeing her mum with a worry look "please I need to do this" she said seeing her sigh in defeat and nodded.

"there is a matter of some one else who also was worried for you" she saw her mother opening the door to reveal Ruby standing there or rather was when she collapsed to the floor.

"um sorry I wasn't ear dropping or anything!" she smiled at Ruby antics trying to play innocent.

"it okay Ruby I know you didn't hear anything because these doors are thick enough to stop any one from hearing anything but next time don't try to ear dropping on anyone's conversations" she hears her mother saying to Ruby scolding her as if she was her daughter.

"of course I won't do it again" she smiles seeing Ruby quickly getting up and saluting to her mother.

"okay now I need to go and see Ozpin you may stay and see her but try to remember she is still recovering" she hears before her mother leaves them both alone.

"so how are you...!" Crescent didn't finish as she was tackled with a huge hug from her she did felt pain but she ignored it to treasure this moment with Ruby.

"Crescent you had me worried" she slowly hugs her back.

"I am sorry I just need to get away for a bit!" she said while crying into her lover shoulder while still laying down on the bed.

Glynda POV

She arrived at Ozpin office where she him sitting on his chair looking at a photo of his daughter "she is awake" she said seeing him looking up to her she could see he was tired.

"how is she?" she hears him asking.

"she is fine and she want to see you I will tell you what she has told me along the way" she said leading him the way.

Crescent POV

Once they had collected themselves they then went on talking about thing, Crescent has found out that the finals will begin tomorrow which brought some smiles to her when they suddenly heard the door open and saw it was Glynda and Ozpin suddenly she felt her mood changed from happy to being annoyed even though she asked to see him.

"Ruby can I talk to Ozpin alone for now?" she asked seeing her lover worried look on her but nodded non of the less and walk out she also saw her mother walking out as well hearing the door shut meaning both of them were now left alone in the room as they both were staring at each other.
