CHAPTER 32: Just Dance? A Fusion Dance?
Usagi stood outside the room that Dende and Mr. Popo had set up as a training room for the young demi Saiyans. Krillian stood on the other side of the door with her. The blonde was leaning against the wall with her arms folded over her chest and her eyes closed. Krillian stood back against the wall, his arms folded behind his head and his right leg bent with his right leg bent at the knee, his foot resting against the wall. The clicking of heels echoed down the hallway and the duo looked up to see Bulma angrily marching towards them.
"Uhm," Krillian stood away from the wall and chuckled nervously. "Hey Bulma."
"Don't you 'hey Bulma' me Krillian." She threw her hands onto her hips and leaned forward. "The girls just explained to me what is going on in this room and I will not allow my son to partake in fighting that overgrown pink ball of playdoh!" She huffed loudly and cut her eyes to Usagi. "I have already lost Vegeta and I will not lose Trunks to that vile creature."
"Bulma," Usagi spoke softly not moving from her spot, "I won't let that happen."
"Yeah," came the blue-haired haughty reply. "Just like you didn't let Vegeta become evil again, or let your guardians lose their mates, or like you managed to stop all of this from happening?" She paused a moment to catch her breath. "I can't lose him, Usagi." Tears shinning in her eyes. "He's all I have left of Vegeta."
Usagi leaned away from the wall and crossed over to Bulma placing her hands on her shoulders. "I understand, Bulma. I more than anyone understand but you must know that I will do anything and everything in my power to keep those boys safe. I don't want them doing this either, but they are our only chance." She glanced down and the ground. "Vegeta couldn't stop him and Goku can't either and only the kamis know where Gohan is." She looked back into Bulma's tear filled blue eyes. "Know that I promise you I will keep them safe especially if it costs me my life."
"Okay, Usagi." Bulma wrapped the blonde in a tight embrace then pulled back wiping at the tears in her eyes. "I'll never understand you Saiyans and your need to fight. I'll make sure there is some food ready for the boys when they are hungry." She slowly walked back down the hallway.
"D'in m'yo, Bulma." Usagi whispered as she breathed a sigh of relief.
"No offense, Usagi," Krillian spoke as he walked up to her side, "you're pretty scary but Bulma, jeez, I would not want to face off with Bulma when it comes to Trunks."
"I know what you mean Krillian." She smiled at her mate's longest friend. "I'm going to check on their progress."
Opening the door slowly she stepped in to see Goten and Trunks standing apart from one another mirroring one another with the same motions. She looked over to Piccolo who was watching the boys every minute movement with precise detail. Her eyes landed on her mate; a series look on his face as he studied their movements. Just as their fingers were about to touch Goku called for them to stop.
"Ahh man!" Goten whine.
"What this time?" Trunks growled. "We were in perfect rhythm this time, weren't we?" He folded his arms over his chest and huffed; his stance and person an exact replica of his father.
"No, Trunks," Piccolo snapped, "your knee wasn't high enough and Goten your fingers were too close together."
"This is too hard!" Goten whined as he plopped down on the ground cross legged and folded his arms over his chest with a small pout on his face.
"And Trunks," Goku spoke in a firm tone, "your power level was too high. You and Goten have to match your power levels as close as possible."
"What is the point of this training, r'sha?" Usagi asked gaining the attention of everyone in the room.
"Ma!" Goten flew towards Usagi wrapping his tiny arms around her neck.
"Aunt Usa!" Trunks rushed up to her and threw his arms around her middle burying his face into her stomach.
"Eh ho'ta." She knelt to the ground and held onto both boys tightly wrapping them in a fierce hug. "So why is it so difficult for you to master this technique? Is there something I can do to help?" She pulled back to look into the eyes of both demi Saiyans.
"Well," Goten said as he looked at Trunks, "Ja'ta and Mr. Piccolo keep telling us that we aren't moving at the same time and I don't understand."
"If we could see what they are talking about that might help but Uncle Kaka just keeps saying we're doing it wrong." Trunks looked off to the side reminding her of Vegeta when he would become frustrated with something he couldn't have or master.
"I think I can help with that. Hold on just a moment." Releasing them she stood and walked over to the largest flat wall. Placing her hand on the wall she used her silver crystal to summon forth a mirror for them to practice in.
"Yeah!" Trunks exclaimed.
"Thanks Ma! You're the greatest!" Goten shouted and moved over to stand in front of the mirror beside Trunks.
"Thanks, Usa." Goku walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her middle resting his chin on top of her head.
"You're welcome. Bulma has food ready when the boys are hungry." She rested her hands-on top of his arms. "Do you want me to help train the boys for a little bit? I mean," she gulped heavily, "you are almost out of time and I'll need to know how to help Piccolo."
"Of course," he whispered softly into her ear, "but I had planned on letting Krillian come in here and work with them so I could steal you away."
"Oh." Usagi's cheeks turned red as she felt his chest rumble and his tail dip down to wrap around her right leg.
"Get out of here you two." Piccolo chuckled at the red cheeked princess. "Krillian, get in here."
"Let me see the motions they are supposed to go through first." Usagi gulped with embarrassment.
The quartet watched for a moment as the two young boys went through showing them the stances that were needed for what Goku had told them was called the Fusion Technique. After watching for a few minutes Goku announces that they are going to head out but that the boys should continue to train.
"Ja'ta," Goten called out shyly, "before you go can you please show us the new level you unlocked?"
Trunks' eyes lit up. "Yeah! We felt it but we didn't see it. Can we please?"
"Well," Goku nervously scratched the back of his head, "I don't know guys. It takes a lot of energy and I don't have much time left."
"Oh, come on Goku, man." Krillian wiggled his eyebrows at the tall Saiyan. "You can't just achieve some new strength and not show us."
"Its fine," Usagi smiled softly, "I wanted to see it too."
Goku pulled away from his tiny blonde mate and powered up immediately to level two. His power paused there momentarily as his hair grew longer until it reached the back of his knees. Krillian and Piccolo stood in awe gapping at Goku's new appearance. Meanwhile, Trunks and Goten, were praising the new transformation and were shocked at the amount of power radiating from the taller Saiyan. The two young boys were sent off to eat. Goku scooped up his blonde mate and using instant transmission carted them off to a secluded place. Opening her eyes, Usagi found herself at a familiar pond with a small waterfall and cave. Her eyes immediately began to water as she looked upon the landscape before them. Sensing her emotional state, Goku stepped before her and looked into her eyes. He gently cupped her face in his hands causing them to lock eyes.
"What is it? What's wrong Usagi?" He asked tenderly, concern radiating in his voice and eyes.
"This is where we were last alone together before you died." She paused sucking in a much-needed breath. "This is where we made Gine."
"I know," he dropped his forehead to rest against hers, "I thought you would like this place. We can go somewhere else if -"
Usagi leaned up silencing him with a hard kiss. "Kot'or ih os'ko." She slipped her arms around his neck and stood on her tip toes.
Goku wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her up to him. Wrapping her legs around his hips he walked them into the cave behind the waterfall. He slowly lowered them to the ground, never breaking the kiss. Slipping his hand to the back of her head he pulled the long blonde hair from the ponytail letting is spill behind her. They moved in unison slowly peeling the clothing from one another as they savored their last moments with one another. Once they were bare before one another, Goku slowly joined himself with Usagi causing her to break the kiss and her back to arch as a soft moan escaped her lips. Seizing the opportunity, Goku trailed love bites up and down her neck. Usagi's legs wrapped tightly around her lover's back as he kept a slow but strong and steady pace within her. She threaded her fingers into his long golden hair as he latched onto her right nipple.
"Heu, g'in Goku." She moaned as she felt herself spiraling towards and orgasm. "Tah'kha'or. Ki'po, d'ha," she gasped loudly, "f'ri. Buh'tir, rad'ir go."
Goku purred loudly as he felt her tightening around him. "Nee m'eh." His movements becoming jerky as he fought to hold back his own release. Their eyes locked showing that Kakarott and Goku were waging war within; the latter trying to stay in control. "I can't do what I did to you last time." He nipped at her mating mark as he whispered huskily in her ear in Saiyan. "I won't leave you with another br'at in your belly that you have to rear alone. I refuse to leave you to go through pregnancy and birth alone without me. I will find a way back to you." He looked up to see the tears shimmering in her eyes. Quickly he pulled out of her spilling his seed onto her belly button and allowing her to see that Kakarott was in complete and utter control. "I was poor excuse of to leave you in such a state before. It was all my fault for that predicament, not Goku. Mah'ni."
"Kakarott," Usagi whispered as she cupped his face in her hands, "you have nothing to apologize for. If you hadn't given me Gine I wouldn't have survived. Thank you," she pressed her lips to his in a tender kiss, "thank you for giving me our br'ats." She closed her eyes and pressed their foreheads together.
"Let's go for a swim." Goku whispered as he regained control and lowered back to his base power.
An hour later found Usagi and Goku back on the lookout. Trunks and Goten had fallen asleep after eating their fill. The younger children were either running around playing or coloring. Bardock Jr, Kaboka, and Gine were involved in a three-way spar. Gine broke away from the spar and flew up to her parents hugging them tightly. Goku wrapped his left arm around Usagi and held his small daughter onto his right shoulder as he listened to her talk. The group slowly gathered as they talked with one another enjoying what could very well be their last moments of peace together in this world.
"Okay Goku." A croaky female voice called from behind the group. "It is time to say goodbye."
The group turned to see Baba floating on her crystal ball waiting patiently for Goku to come over to her. One by one the group gave their farewells to Goku. Goten and Trunks stayed fast asleep in their room. Goku stooped eye level to his daughter and held her hands. He gave her quiet sage words of wisdom and the love of a father. He hugged her tightly once more as he dropped a kiss to the top of her head committing her scent to memory. Lastly, he turned to Usagi and smiled at her before pulling her into his arms and kissing her passionately.
"Make them pay but stay alive and make me wait to see you if I'm unable to find a way back to you on this realm. C'ril?" The husky tone of Kakarott hit her ear causing a shiver to roll up her spine.
"G'in, r'sha m'yo." She closed her eyes as she took a deep inhale trying to capture his scent within her memory.
He crossed over to Baba and waved goodbye to everyone as the duo disappeared. Patiently, he waited to see the large wood desk of King Yemma before him but instead he was in a large field on an unfamiliar planet. He looked around confused momentarily before turning to Baba.
"Umm, excuse me Baba," he leaned towards the pink-haired fortune teller, "but this doesn't look like King Yemma's. I mean, unless he has done some serious redecorating while I was gone."
"No, Goku, he has redecorated. I was instructed to bring you here. Well, alright, bye then." Baba called out as she flew off.
"Wait! Baba! I don't even know where I am!" Goku yelled after her retreating form.
"Not to worry, youngest of the house of Bardock." Called a familiar voice. "I'll show you who requested you to be brought here."
Goku turned around to see Nappa, the tall bald warrior he had thought dead. "Nappa?! Oh man, am I glad to see you. We thought you were dead. What happened?"
"When Dabura attacked I did die for a split second but somehow Kibito was able to reverse time for a split second and teleport us away from the blast. He brought us here to this world. There is someone here waiting to see you. Come on." Nappa gave Goku a hearty slap on the back.
They walked a little way and found Shin standing to the left an older purple-haired kai with white hair and Kibito standing off to his right. There was another man with his back to them as they approached. Shin looked at them approaching and motioned for them to remain quiet. Kibito crossed the distance and greeted them.
"Son, Goku," he smiled at the shorter Saiyan, "I am glad you were able to join us. Supreme Kai and Kai Shin arranged for you to be brought here. They thought you might be of some help."
"How would I be able to help the kais?" Goku asked with a confused tone.
"You weren't brought here to help the heus, Kakarott." Nappa shook his head. "You were brought here to help your ho'ta."
"What? Gohan's here?" Goku peered around Kibito's shoulder to sense his son sitting perfectly still while meditating.
"Yes, Shin brought him here to train with the Supreme Kai. He believes he can train young Gohan and give him the tools to defeat Babidi and that monster Buu." Kibito answered quietly.
"Really?" Goku exclaimed. "That would be great. I was trying to teach Goten and Trunks the fusion technique so they could take on Buu, but I don't know if they'll be enough."
"Bahahaha." Nappa let out a hearty laugh. "I can hear the fit Bulma threw. What did Vegeta do to calm her down?"
"Well, Vegeta wasn't there to calm her down. He tried to take Buu out on his own with what Tarble and Usagi called the Ultimate Attack." Goku answered solemnly.
"Are you sure that was the attack? He wouldn't use that unless it a last result." Nappa waited for the Bardock clone to answer. "You can't be serious Kakarott? Vegeta is gone?"
"And so are Radditz and Turles." He looked to the ground saddened at the loss of his brothers.
"So Usagi and Tarble have been left on Earth all alone?" He turned to Kibito. "You have to send me back. Ve'hos m'yo's need me." He turned quickly back to Kakarott as a thought struck him. "What about Zua m'yo ih atti m'yo? Are they okay?"
"Ami is grieving you right now cause she thinks you are dead. Usa and Tarble aren't alone, the others are still alive and with them. Calm down Nappa." Goku tried to ease the bald warrior's fears.
"They are alone on Earth! There are no other Saiyans there to protect and defend them. You have to take me back, now!" Nappa yelled as he stared down the pink skinned being.
"I cannot do that, Nappa. If Babidi were to know we were still alive it would mess up our element of surprise and our plan wouldn't work." Kibito spoke calmly trying to lessen the anger radiating off the bald Saiyan.
"Would you knock that off!" The older Kai yelled. "I already told you the boy needs to be able to concentrate without distractions so knock it off!"
Gohan looked over his shoulder to see not only Kibito and Nappa but his father as well. Joy blanketed his face as he stood and rushed up to him. "Dad! What are you doing here? I thought you had to go back to King Yemma when your time was up?"
"I did too but apparently Shin pulled some strings so now I'm here. So, what kind of training are you doing?" Goku asked his eldest son.
"Honestly," Gohan leaned closer to his father and whispered, "I'm not really sure myself. They said it would help me be able to defeat Buu, so I figured it is worth it. You know?"
