I let Arthur hold onto me as we walked all the way up the flight of concert stairs. He seemed to be limping a bit and I could bet it was from kicking the garbage bags. He must have pulled something in his leg, but ofcourse he was trying to hide his pain from me.
"You sure you're okay? I can hang out at my apartment for a while if you want" I said as we stood outside the door of his apartment.
"I'd love to Jenna but I gotta take care of Mom. But you're more than welcome to come over any time you want."
"Okay, hang in there Arthur, im here if you need me' I said giving him a hug.
He hugged me back tightly and sighed.
"Thank you Jenna, thank you so much."
"For what?' I asked.
"For being here for me" he said gazing at me with those sad green eyes.
I nearly forgot to breathe when he leaned in closer and kissed me on my forhead.
I giggled and it touched my heart to see him smiling back at me.
"I'll see you later' I said walking down the hall to my place, feeling my cheeks blushing like crazy.
Once I was safely inside, I let out a happy sigh and threw myself onto my couch.
Sitting up again, I reached over to my night stand and picked up a picture frame that had a picture of me and mom in it.
"..I think I'm falling for him mom' I said as I stared at the picture.
"I don't want to be this sad, depressed, lonely girl anymore. I want to start fresh and be happy..and I think I know just where to start.' With that said I kissed my moms picture and ran into my bathroom. Opening the cabinets underneath my sink, I rummaged through my things till I found exactly what I was looking for..Two bottles of Artic Fox Red Wrath Hair Dye.
When I was sure that 30 minutes had passed, I used my shower head to wash out the dye. Praying to god that when I was done that my tub wouldn't be permanently stained red.
Then I realized I was missing something very important...a damn hair dryer!
"Maybe Arthur's mom has one" I thought.
Quickly wrapping my hair up in a towel, I made my way down the hall to his apartment.
From inside I could hear music so I knocked as loud as I could.
"Arthur? You in there?' I called out.
After I knocked a little harder this time, the door just happened to open slightly on own.
"..He wouldn't mind if I went in right?"
I didn't dwell on it to long. Because the next thing I knew, I was inside.
It hadn't changed since we were kids. Small, a little run down, but still had that homey feeling to it.
I fallowed the music and found Arthur sitting in his living room..shirtless and wearing blue pajama pants. He was loading the gun that Randle gave him and holding it proudly.
I was about to call out to him when he got up and began dancing along with the music.
To my suprise he moved very well, and very good rhythm.
He began talking to himself and it took every ounce of me not to chuckle.
"Hey what's your name? Arthur. Hey Arthur you're a really good dancer. Thanks, you know who's not? Him."
Suddenly the gun went off and both of us fell to the floor in shock!
"What are you doing here?' He whispered once he noticed me.
"What are doing playing with a gun?' I whispered back.
"Happy what was that noise?' I heard Arthur's mom call out from her bedroom.
"Huh? What?' he called out turning up the TV and looking at the bullet hole in the wall.
"That loud noise what was that?' his mom said.
"Oh, I'm watching an old war movie!"
"Turn it down!"
Grabbing Arthur by the hand, I ran with hin back to my apartment, and as we ran I heard him say "Sorry mom" in a sad voice.
