❝ Tell me would you

kill to save a life? ❞

- Hurricane, 30 Seconds To Mars

FINDING OUT HER brother was in jail, again, wasn't the way Juliette wanted to start off her morning. Any thoughts of Claudius and her newfound revelation of who Bill Compton really was, was put on a back burner, as she rushed down to the station to see her brother.

"You can't go in there!" Ellis, one of the officers exclaimed, trying to stop Juliette and Sookie, "I'm sorry girls but he's only allowed one visitor at a time," He explains shakily, trying not to meet Juliette's rage-filled eyes.

"Honey, either you can let me in there or throw me in there with him, but one way or another I'm gonna see my brother, it's up to you if you want it to be painful or not," Juliette growls, shoving her way past Ellis and rushing to the cell.

"Jason!" Juliette exclaimed reaching through the bars for her twin, Jason did the same and the twins rested their foreheads up against the bars.

"Jules" Jason breathes, instantly relaxing at the presence of his twin, "I'm so sorry, Jules, I'm so sorry," He whimpers, his eyes glancing at Sookie to convey his apology to her as well.

"No, no, you have nothing to be sorry about," Juliette soothes.

Any lingering anger for the V had completely disappeared from her mind, she just wanted her twin to be free again.

"We just wished we got here sooner before you went and confessed to something you didn't do," Sookie adds, her hand reaching through the bar to squeeze his arm comfortingly.

Jason shakes his head, "I don't even remember doing any of it," He took in a breath, "I just know I did it."

"Bullshit," Juliette swears, "Jay, I love you but you need to shut up."

"She's right, 'cause we're real close to finding out who the real killer is," Sookie informs, and Juliette nods in agreement, her arms tightening around her brother. "His names Drew Marshall, he had a sister named Cindy, and we think he killed her," Sookie explained, "Strangled her just like Maudette and Dawn and Amy."

If they know all this then how come they hasn't gone to the cops and gotten her brother out of that cell. Juliette hears René think, if she wasn't so focused on Jason, it would have occurred to her that René's Cajun accent had disappeared.

"Cause we tried that and the cops have done diddlysquat to protect me and my family," Sookie snaps also having heard René's thoughts, "'Sides we don't have any evidence yet, we don't even know what Drew Marshall looks like."

"So you can't really be sure he's the killer," René comments, almost sounding intrigued.

"I've seen what's inside his head," Sookie retorts softly.

They'll never believe that about him, but it's the truth. There's all kinds of strangeness in the world.

"Sookie, Jules," Jason speaks up snapping the girls away from René's thoughts and focusing their attention on him instead, "I know you two wanna help me, that's only 'cause you can't accept the truth." A tear slid down Jason's face, "I'm a murderer. And I'm going to hell. Plain and simple."

Juliette couldn't help but snort at her brother's words, "First of all if anyone's going to hell it's me, second of all Jason, honey, you are a lot of things but a murderer ain't it, I'm sorry but you don't have the stomach for it."

"Jason, we know who the killer is! And all we gotta do is find him!" Sookie exclaims desperately.

"Andy!" Jason shouts, slipping out of Juliette's reach.

"Jason..." Juliette warns, realizing what he was about to do.

Jason ignores her. "Andy!" Jason yells.

"What's your problem?" The detective grumbles, walking in.

"Make them go away!" Jason demands.

Andy lets out a scoff of disbelief, glaring at Jason, "Am I your fucking Butler?"

"Please," Jason pleads, "Get them out of here."

Andy sighs before moving, and Juliette immediately shifts into an almost defensive position. "Andy, I swear to god if you so much as come near me I will rip your goddamn balls off" Juliette growls.

"Jules... please... I'm beggin' you" Jason pleads, shifting back closer to his twin and leaning against the bar.

The twins hold a stare off and this time it was Juliette looking away in defeat not being able to see the sorrow in her brother's gaze.

"You moronic-" She cuts herself off, "This isn't over Jay, we're gonna get you outta there," Juliette vows before turning to glare at Andy, "Then I'm gonna get asshole Andy over there fuckin' fired."

Andy glare at her and Juliette raises an eyebrow daring him to say something but Andy widely chooses to keep his mouth shut making Juliette smirk smugly but there was nothing smug inside her, all she wanted was Jason out of the cell.

Juliette storms out, leaving Sookie to deal with Andy before she did something that would land her in jail and ruining her chances to free her brother.

Juliette didn't even know how she dragged herself to work, but she knew if she stayed home she would drive herself crazy or to drink till she passed out, which would be no help to Jason. At least at Merlotte's, she could keep an ear out for anything suspicious.

The shift was going well as could be, all things considered when she heard the one person that she did really did not want to hear or see.

"He don't remember doing it! Like he had amnesia or something, now he's just sitting there, looking like a dog who lost his bone," Andy laughs, the people around him joining in. Juliette's fists clenched to the point her nails dug into her skin, no doubt leaving crescent-shaped marks behind. "and then he says it did it. I killed those women, you were right all along.'"

Clenching her jaw, Juliette threw down the rag she was wiping the bar with and started making her way over.

"You should've seen the look in his eye. Ice cold. Like he was talking about roadkill." Andy smirks.

"Is that right, Andy?" Juliette asks, her voice was cool and collected but internally she was boiling with rage. "If you think Jason's eyes are ice-cold, then I seriously wonder how mine look," She comments casually.

Andy's face immediately transforms into one of fear when he realized who it was before he quickly collects himself and gives her a scoff and cocky smile.

"We all know he killed those women" he states as a matter of fact.

Juliette smiled sharply, nodding as she walked closer to him enjoying the way he grew more and more nervous. Juliette lets out a small cold chuckle making Andy gulp before suddenly slamming her hands down on the table with a loud bang causing everyone to jump.

"Oh I'm gonna enjoy this" Juliette comments and the fear on Andy's face dims and instead he looks at her confused.

"Enjoy what?" He asks gruffly.

"I'm gonna enjoy seeing your life fall apart when my brother is proven innocent because let's face it darlin' we both know he ain't smart enough to commit somthin' like this, much less three of em'," She said, her accent becoming more pronounced due to the anger in her tone, "and the only reason why your so hell-bent on blamin' my brother is because you're a pathetic excuse of a man lookin' to find an easy way to raise his career."

The people around Andy murmured and his face turned red from embarrassment but before he could retort, Juliette turned and strutted off, keeping her head held high as she ignored the looks and thoughts of everyone's judgement.

"Jules," Her sister came up to her and instantly from the look on Sookie's face Juliette knew it was too much and with an understanding nod from Sam, she wraps an arm around her baby sister before leading her out of the restaurant.

Juliette didn't say anything knowing Sookie just wanted silence but at the same time didn't want to be alone. So, quietly she climbed into her sister's car. When Sookie tried to turn it on, it wouldn't start.

"Shoot! Darn it! Son of a mother fudge!" Sookie screams, hitting the wheel and gently Juliette grabbed her sister's hands before Sookie could injure herself.

Sookie looked up with teary eyes at Juliette and Juliette looked back with a soft understanding.

"Sookie! Jules!" The sudden appearance of René leaning against their window startled the sisters but Juliette managed to hide her reaction while Sookie slightly jumped in her seat as she turned to René, "Everything all right?"

"Just a little care trouble that's all," Juliette speaks up, her eyes slightly narrowing at René, there was something off she just couldn't understand what.

"Want me to take a look?" René asks, giving them a gentle smile.

Sookie nods and the girls get out as René moves to look under the hood. They waited a few minutes before René straightened up giving the girls an apologetic look.

"Don't tell anybody, but I don't know much about cars."

Sookie sighs, "I guess I should call a tow."

"Why don't you let me give you both a ride home?" René offers, "I'll get my buddy Hank down at Auto Haven to take a look on it on my way back."

Sookie looks at him hesitantly, "We can't be alone."

Juliette wanted to protest but she thought better of it, the more people the safer they would be.

René nods in understanding, "Oh. Course you two can't. Well, how 'bout I give you a ride home, and stay with you two until Sam gets off work, Huh?"

Eventually, the pair had accepted René's offer yet throughout the whole car ride, Juliette could feel that there was something wrong but she couldn't figure out what it was. She had tuned out most of the conversation trying to figure out why she felt off and it wasn't until Sookie nudged her, that she realized there were back at the house.

Silently, she made her way upstairs to the bathroom and splashed some water on her face. Her hands gripping the side of the sink tightly as she met her own eyes in the mirror.

Behind all that pain and anger swirling around inside her eyes, there was a weariness, one that made her look older than she really was. She looked away not being able to hold her own gaze and let out a sigh.

Suddenly, she let out a sharp gasp as her mind was flooded with thoughts and images of her grandmother's murder. The sudden onslaught had been too much and she muffled a scream as she clutched her head in pain.

Tears gathered in her eyes from both the pain and what she saw, until finally it stopped and she let out a shaky breath.

"Sookie."

Ignoring her aching head, Juliette rushes out of the bathroom when she heard Sookie let out a shrill scream. Juliette's heart dropped as she immediately thought the worst.

"Get back here you fucking bitch!" René, who was actually Drew Marshall screamed and by the time she reached the main floor she saw the front door was wide open and Drew chasing after her sister.

Juliette sprinted after them, only to falter in pain as Drew's memories forced their way into her head. Her hands clutched her head at the sharp pain and she did her best to force the thoughts out of her head and continue moving.

Juliette reached the cemetery just in time to see Drew strangling her sister. A haze of red clouded her mind and Juliette jumped at Drew, her hand grabbing his hair to pull him back. Drew let out a yell and whirled around, Juliette's grip was so tight that she ripped a chunk of his hair.

"And there's the other bitch!" He sneered before shoving her down.

Juliette's head roughly hit the gravestone sending black spots over her vision and before she could move, Drew stormed over and pulled his fist back before punching her. Pain flared in Juliette's cheek as Drew continued his assault and then he stopped, pulling back slightly only to lift his leg and roughly stomped on her ribs. Juliette heard a crack and the pain she felt was so excruciating that she could even make a sound, her mouth open in a silent scream of pain.

A blur jumped over her prone body and she could hear the growl of a dog and Drew's scream of pain before a sharp yelp and Drew swearing.

Painfully rolling over Juliette saw René beating on Sam who was in dog form and despite the pain, she forced herself to her feet. Sam who Juliette guessed was unconscious shifted back and she took advantage of Drew's confusion and launched herself onto Drew's back.

Her arms pulled Drew into a chokehold while her legs locked around his waist to keep a tighter grip.

Drew struggled trying to pry her arms off of him but Juliette kept a tight hold, her eyes teared up from the pain but she held tight. Drew realizing he couldn't pry her off, launched backwards into the gravestone, he had pushed her into earlier.

Juliette let out a scream when she felt a sharp pain in her back and white fiery hot pain in her ribs and against her wishes, her grip loosened but Juliette was nothing if not determined.

So, she fixed her grip and before she even realized what she was doing, her hands grabbed the side of his neck and she twisted as hard as she could.

A loud crack was heard and René immediately went limp falling to the ground taking Juliette with him. A whimper in pain escaped her lips and the last thing she saw was her sister's horrified face before she succumbed to the darkness.
