It's January 2021, you know what that means!
nothing
…
Sike, its Sonic's 30th anniversary! (This may have been why I picked Sonic here, hint, hint). In honor of the Hedgehog being officially older than most of his fanbase, I shall get Sonic into Elite Smash!
…
Hopefully.
Anyways, after I finish the original FF7 I'll probably try the FF7 remake for Ps4 eventually, especially considering no games are coming out in 2021 besides 3D World + Bowser's Fury as far as I know so I'll be able to snag it. I imagine this year we'll get the gen 4 remakes and maybe the next Kirby Spin Off, but other than that, not expecting much.
For things like Botw2, Metroid Prime 4, new 3D Mario, I don't expect much until 2022.
That being said, I'd love to be proven wrong.
Also, on the topic of Eleven's age again, I replayed Dragon Quest 11 for fun, he starts his journey at 16, but honestly, honestly? Let's just say that his journey took two years. If you count all the sections in Sylvando's boat which would probably take weeks or months canonically, I don't think it's necessarily a stretch to say that canonically it took at least a year or two.
Especially considering post game, post-game would take a couple months, especially with the stupid plot and well...
This is kinda my fan timeline of DQ11-
Eleven start's his journey – 16
Lots of walking and side quests – 6 months
All time on water – 7 months, maybe more (Eleven is now 17)
Literally just the amount of time Eleven took to recover all his party members in the third act- 4 months
Everything else that I'm not spoiling- maybe 5 months max. (Eleven is now 18)
SMASH (Eleven is 18 by now, yay.)
As for the others, eight is already 18, Erdrick's journey took probably five years considering how slow Dragon Quest 3 is to play (seriously Dragon Quest 3 moves at a snail's pace), and Solo starts his journey at 17, and I'm going to assume it takes a year, I haven't played Dragon Quest 4 though.
Now read if you will.

{Poké Pelago Island (Day) - (Pokémon Sun & Moon)}
"Ugh..." Shulk groaned, his back not quite feeling the best from his sleeping position. He didn't know the time, but it seemed early, maybe around Eight or Nine in the morning. Shulk stood up and brushed off any possible dirt that could be on him, Sonic being asleep in the corner.
"Finally, you're awake." Sothis noted, her spirit just kinda floating near the doorway. "We must get going."
"Good morning." Shulk greeted cheerily, waving over to where Sothis was.
"Yes, good morning..." Sothis responded, taking a few seconds to process that before continuing. "Wake the hedgehog up."
"I'm awake too..." Sonic groaned, hopping up and stretching. "Alright, uh... who are you again?" Sonic asked, pointing to Shulk.
"Shulk." Shulk replied, holding back a yawn.
"Alright, I'll totally remember that Skulk." Sonic assured, Shulk having as much hope as Sonic Adventure 2 fans of getting a sequel. "Anyways, I don't hear sirens, do you think the police made it yet?"
"Well, there was no promise they would be here." Shulk noted, Sonic walking towards the pile of garbage blocking the doorway.
"Dude, we blocked an integral building to the wellbeing of Pokémon, why wouldn't they be here?" Sonic noted.
"They're the police, they never stop anything unless it's a small business owner not following arbitrary laws." Shulk reminded Sonic, who seemed fixed on the conversation.
Sonic then responded, "Well to be fair this isn't New York City, a city where thanks to the Governors horrible policy the rates of murder have gone up by over-"
"Can we stop alienating half of our audience and get back to the plot?" Sothis pleaded, and the two agreed silently to do so.
Sonic then held his arms outwards towards the door. "Alright, Shulk, Spirit Girl..."
"It's Sothis." Sothis graciously reminded him.
Sonic smirked and tilted his head. "So, this what?"
"WE ARE NOT MAKING THAT JOKE AGAIN." Sothis declared, and Sonic smirked before shrugging.
"Whatever Sothis." he said, turning back towards the junk blocking the door. "Anyways, before I clean this stuff up, do we have any more info dumps to go over?"
"No, I'm pretty sure we're done with those." Shulk responded. "At least for now anyways, you never know what'll happen in the future."
"Alright, alright, what about you?" Sonic interrogated, pointing to Sothis. "You seem like you're hiding something that will take a few paragraphs to explain."
"No, I'm not hiding anything." Sothis asserted, and while both he and Sonic were clearly skeptical, he shrugged it off rather quickly.
"Well, if you say so." Sonic brushed off. "Well, let's..." Sonic sped around, and it wasn't more than five seconds before the furniture blocking the door was gone, leaving the Pokémon Center door and whatever was outside. "Head out!"
"Hey do you think This Girl's outside?" Shulk wondered.
"This Girl?" Sonic asked, scratching the side of his head. "Oh yeah that chick." he remembered. "It would be too easy if she was right there, I imagine she wandered off far, but not far away off the beaten path, probably somewhere near."
"Yes, I'm sure she's not far, now let's hurry off to Route Six, I'm sure absolutely nothing will get in our way this time."
"I mean, its kind of was you who got in our way last time." Sonic put to mind.
"Uh no, you two suggested going to sleep." Sothis countered. "So, if anything it's your fault."
"Nuh-uh, I could've continued, but it was Shulk who suggested it in the first place." Sonic shot back, Shulk feeling personally attacked.
"So, it's Shulk's fault then." Sothis decided upon.
"Yeah, nice going Shulk, we waisted an entire chapter here!" Sonic haggled abruptly. "Anyways, let's head outside!"
Following Sonic's lead, Shulk and Sothis walked outside the door, the sun shining bright in their eyes as they opened the door. The three looked ahead and the light soon dissipating and revealing an empty path ahead, no police, no This Girl, not even a person outside besides a dead corpse in the bushes, but who cares about that?
"Wow, this place is deserted." Sonic remarked, looking up, down, and all around, but nothing catching his eye.
"Well, that's obvious." Sothis agreed, seeming a bit dejected. "At the very least that saves us a trip to the correctional facility."
"Alright then, let's head west!" Shulk conferred, pointing westward like he was a Spanish explorer, but it seemed also like a particular Spanish explorer, he would find his destination to be blocked off by a group of people he had never seen before, but unlike the aforementioned explorer, he didn't get to slaughtering them without a second thought.
"Out of my way!" A deep and energetic voice yelled, rushing past the trio and disappearing like a flame in a wind towards the east.
"Woah, what was that?" Sonic wondered, the group turning around to see a man skidding to a stop, his back exposed, meaning he was shirtless. He had a dark skin tone, a head of fiery hair, though he didn't have a supercharged backpack. The man had two tattoos on his shoulders, a fiery demeanor, and similarly lit sandals.
The man turned around, revealing radiant purple eyes that seemed slanted in anger. "Stay back, I don't have time for you humans!"
Behind them, one male, wearing a full white tracksuit with short sleeves, large white sneakers, extremely long gloves, and a hat that looked like something out of a sci-fi movie, the top having two odd yellow eyeball looking things.
"Mr. Kiawe..." the female began, holding both hands out as she pushed past the trio. "Under section 4 of the Pokémon League official guidelines, it marks stealing Pokémon as an immediate disqualification-"
"I'm not that crook Kiawe!" Kiawe(?) said. "I'm TOTEM Marowak!"
Totem Marowak!
Gets a title card as well!
{Trial Captain/Kahuna Theme – Pokémon Sun & Moon}
"Wait, that guy's Totem Marowak?" Shulk questioned, not seeming anything totem-y or Marowak-y about him.
"I... suppose he is?" Sothis responded, seeming even more shocked than he was.
"Terribly sorry sir, sir's Pokémon." the guy wearing white said. "That's the Fire Trial Captain of the island, Kiawe." he explained. "He's run off with a Pokeball containing the Totem Pokémon, and I was tasked to get it back."
"Well, maybe we could help?" Shulk suggested.
"Hahaha... no." the man dutifully responded. "This isn't a job for you." he explained, crossing his arms. "I mean, you've got a..." the man looked towards Sonic then at Sothis. "You've got what I assume to be a ghost type and a normal type, horrible type coverage really."
"Type coverage?" Shulk repeated, getting confused a confused look back. "Who are you anyways?"
"Aether foundation, you know the group who help Pokémon and all that jazz?" the guy in white spoke. "You not from here or something?"
"Hey, this section is supposed to be about me!" the possessed Kiawe yelled, but he didn't seem to get much attention. "Pay attention!"
"Well, you could say that, yes." Shulk replied to the guy completely ignoring whatever was just said. "Well, we're actually in the process of checking out Totem Pokémon."
"Oh, are you on your Island Trial?" the Aether Foundation employee wondered. "You look a bit old to be going on your Island Trial, the age range is usually 11-16."
"Well, I guess I'm not usual then." Shulk replied, shrugging.
The possessed Kiawe then shifted into view, standing directly next to Shulk and looking a bit angered from the conversation going on. "HELLO?"
"Huh?" Shulk questioned, looking towards the source of anger. "Who are you again?"
"I'M TOTEM MAROWAK, IDIOT!" the possessed Kiawe screamed, waving their arms around in an exasperated manner. "Now quit spouting useless words and pay attention!" the angry Marowak exclaimed, looking like he would burst with anger any second now.
"Oh right..." Shulk responded, remembering the last few paragraphs. "So, what we're we doing again?"
The Aether Foundation employee quickly reminded him, "Well, I was attempting to get Mr. Kiawe to give us back the Pokeball containing the Totem Pokémon so we could release it back to its proper location."
"I already told you no, now quit following me!" the possessed demanded, holding up a fist.
The Aether Foundation employee then continued. "Sir, we've already made it clear that what you have done is in violation-"
The possessed Kiawe then spoke. "Sir we've already made it clear that what you have done is in violation..." he mocked, getting an annoyed look from the employee.
The male Aether Foundation employee continued, "Of the Pokémon League-"
"Of the Pokémon League..."
"Code of Conduct-"
"Code of conduct."
"Sir, if you're going to act childish, we can always take you to the Pokémon Trainer's school on Melemele if that's what you want." the Aether foundation employee, suggested, not making the situation any better.
"Really now?" the possessed Kiawe scoffed. "Tell that to the man behind you with a knife."
"Huh?" the Aether foundation employee gasped, him turning around, Shulk following his gaze, but finding nothing.
"THROAT CHOP!" Kiawe suddenly yelled, Shulk turning around to find the Trial Captain charging at the Aether employee with his hand outstretched. The move made contact with the man's throat, sending him into a spiral and straight onto the ground, his head facing upwards. "Ha, it's super effective!"
"Can he even learn Throat Chop?" Sothis wondered aloud.
"Yeah, in Gen 8 he can, so it's canon." Sonic replied back, the man still on the ground.
"Canon?" Sothis asked, Sonic about to explain, but quickly interrupted.
"Never mind canon, we gotta help this guy out!" Shulk implored, crouching down to check the man's pulse. "Are you alright?"
"No... well, yes I can talk clearly and I'm not dead or anything, but I can't move... well no, I can move, I just don't feel like moving right now." the man responded, Sonic walking over as well.
"Come on, even Tails can get hit once or twice before getting knocked down, get up man." Sonic chose to compare, but the man didn't seem to be listening.
"Hey, is it possible you three could go and get the Totem Pokémon from Mr. Kiawe?" the guy asked. "Since I don't want to move and all."
"No." Sonic denied.
"Yes, we will." Shulk confirmed, Sonic groaning.
"Dude, he's literally fine, I don't see why we can't just leave him-"
"It's the principle, you can't just not help somebody in trouble." Shulk countered.
"Oh yeah, tell that to real life, you have to let people figure it out themselves or fall behind." Sonic objected. "I mean what, if you ever had a kid would you just do everything for them-"
"How is that relevant?" Sothis shot in. "This man clearly isn't a kid."
"It's a metaphor, you let people do things for themselves." Sonic explained.
Sothis paused for a moment, then continued. "Well, I agree, but-"
The Aether foundation employee suddenly interrupted them all, pushing himself up a bit. "Hey, I know this is a very funny comedy moment and all, but can you all just head over to Route Seven? I'd rather lay here in silence instead of listening to a cruddy metaphor." he pleaded, getting looks from the three before going back to his previous demeanor. "I mean, OW."
"I agree, humans really enjoy stuff like this?" the possessed Kiawe pondered. "Well, that's my cue to leave, see you lot never!" he finished, running eastward, at least relative from where they were looking, towards that supermarket.
{Royal Avenue – Pokémon Sun & Moon}
"Well." Sonic said, seeming unsure what just happened. "Guess we're not going to Route Six then!"
"I guess not." Sothis confirmed in a blank tone. "Well, I suppose it's fine we should head to Route 7 towards Wela Volcano park, since that's where Totem Marowak usually is..." Sothis confirmed, trailing off in clear frustration.
"God, somebodies got their panties in a twist." Sonic noted, not naming any names but clearly naming names.
"Pardon?" Sothis questioned. "That's a rather inappropriate thing to say randomly."
"It's an idiom." Sonic defined, looking at Sothis rather disappointed.
"Oh." Sothis realized, though she didn't seem certain.
"Yeah, you're an idiom you know?" Sonic asked, his tone as obviously deceitful as Masuda and Ohmori during E3 2019.
"I am?" Sothis inquired, probably tilting her head if she physically had one.
"Yeah, just make that M a T." Sonic suggested, quietly laughing to himself and walking eastward. "Aright, let's head towards the volcano park!" he declared, still outwardly chuckling. "Heh... replace the M with a T, that's a classic Sonic™ moment..."
"Replace the M with a..." Sothis paused and mused over this in her head for a moment before coming to a sharp realization. "How dare... get back over here, I'm not done with you!" Sothis declared, chasing after Sonic as Shulk just stood there scratching his head.
Well, guess I better get going.
But as Shulk took a step forward, he heard something behind him, a low growling noise. The noises got closer at a rapid pace, and Shulk could sense that somebody, or perhaps something was behind him. That something cleared its throat, and Shulk cautiously turned around.
"Lycanroc!" A light brown wolf like creature called out, adding seemingly another character to the list of many.
"Calm down Lycanroc, it's just a traveler." Another voice said, Shulk looking towards the source and seeing a dark-skinned woman wearing a pink outfit, dark pink shorts and heeled sandals. She had brown eyes and black hair that reached to her shoulders. "Hey, you!" the woman called out, pointing to Shulk.
"Me?" Shulk asked, looking around like he had just been called down onto a game show.
"There's nobody else here is there?" The woman questioned, and Shulk nodded in response. "You heading to do your trial?"
"No, I'm not a Pokémon trainer." Shulk responded. "Who are you?"
"I'm Olivia, the Kahuna of this island." she explained, then motioning towards her Pokémon. "This is Lycanroc."
"Oh, well he seems like a good boy." Shulk noted, the wolf Pokémon brushing up against Olivia's leg.
"He is." Olivia confirmed, snickering for a moment. "Anyways, if you're not a Pokémon Trainer, I'd suggest against it, some odd characters have been hanging around there."
"Odd characters?"
{===}
Sonic skidded to a stop and waited for Sothis to catch up, the spirit going slower than the Smash speculation cycle. He stopped around where he could notice a clear sign that read "Wela Volcano Park" ahead, northward from it there being a tunnel that probably headed to the coast.
"Wait a moment!" Sothis' voice yelled, Sonic smirking, but quickly changing his expression to a confused one of ambiguity.
"Oh hey, what's up?" Sonic asked, leaning forward at the spirit as it stopped in front of him.
"You very well know what's up, hedgehog!" Sothis declared, but Sonic just couldn't help but egg her on.
"What, the sky?" Sonic falsely wondered. "I guess the sky Is pretty high up there, great observation!"
"I am not referring to the sky, I'm-"
"Oh sorry, you meant the clouds, didn't you?" Sonic corrected, peering up at the sky. "Wow, I had no idea those were up, nice one Sothis!"
"I... is this supposed to be funny?" Sothis pondered, floating in front of Sonic's face.
"Well, it's not funny now that you pointed it out." Sonic noted, stretching his arms. "Anyways, while we're standing here, you got any good jokes?"
"Hold on a moment, I'm not done speaking." Sothis protested, Sonic shaking his head and listening in. "You can't just go around calling people idiots, that's awfully rude."
"Water is wet, tell me something I don't know." Sonic snickered.
But then, another voice spoke from ahead in the tunnel, a voice that was very shrill, and horribly annoying. "Oh, we'll tell you something you don't know!"
Another voice spoke, one that sounded green and Italian. "As it's time for you little twerps to g-"
"Yo, losers, shut up with the rhyming and come out already." Sonic pleaded, crossing his arms. "Out of the tunnel, though I'm sure there are plenty of cramped places you've already came out of."
"Who are you calling a loser?!" Jessie asked and her and James walked out from the darkness of the tunnel ahead, reminding Sonic that Daisy was being possessed, same with Luigi.
Sonic dutifully responded. "I mean, only you two are here, and while Sothis may be a loser-"
"Excuse me?" Sothis exclaimed, Sonic laughing momentarily at her question.
"You two are like her times 4000." Sonic finished, waiting for a response.
"How dare you?" James huffed, stretching out his arm and revealing a Pokeball in his hand. "Don't you know anything about team courtesy?"
"Oh, I've been on a team or two, but usually we don't go around rhyming, we just head through badly designed levels." Sonic explained, though the two in front of him didn't seem to get the last part.
"Ugh, never mind that!" Jessie ignored, though she wasn't holding out a Pokeball. "We've been given directions by that eyeball to defeat you, and that's what we plan to do!"
"Well, it's a shame that you're gonna have to be blown away by my awesome Sonic the Hedgehog battle moves before you can flee!" Sonic threatened, but the two didn't seem to budge.
"Be blown away before we can run?" James questioned. "HA? Don't you know?" he asked, peering towards Jessie.
"Don't I know what?" Sonic asked, the two smirking at him.
The two then spoke in unison, both in the same triumphant tone. "Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!" they declared. "Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"
"Oh, I'll fight alright." Sonic finished for them, ready for a brawl.
"Wobbuffet!" the blue Pokémon from the day before said, suddenly springing out towards Sonic, officially initiating the battle.
{Battle! (Trainer) - Pokémon Sun & Moon}
"Alright Sothis, since this is your first time seeing me battle, I'll let you stand back and take notes!" Sonic explained to the spirit.
"Wobbuffet, return, it's not your turn yet!" James yelled to the Pokémon, who turned back towards him.
"Wobbuffet, wobb!" the Pokémon said, essentially explaining it could handle this.
"Just let him do it, I want to get this over with." Jessie implored to James, who sighed in agreement, allowing the Pokémon to do its thing.
"Well, he's blue, so he's gotta be a water type. Right?" Sonic guessed, using the incorrect design philosophy. "Ah, whatever, this should be a quick battle."
Sonic immediately sped forward towards the blue Pokémon with a boost dash, the Pokémon slowly turning to face him as Sonic stopped next to him, waiting for an attack but finding nothing as the Pokémon just stood there like a punching bag.
"Sheesh, not even gonna attack?" Sonic asked the Pokémon who just stood there. "Well, suit yourself." Sonic laughed, jumping up into a ball (real shocker there) and charging towards the Pokémon in a homing attack.
"Wobbuffet, use counter!" James exclaimed, Sonic not knowing what he was getting into, be he couldn't back out now. Sonic pushed against the Pokémon with all of his might, but like one of those inflatable dummies, when he knocked into it, it bounced back and right back into Sonic's face, the force knocking the hedgehog back towards his starting position, though on his back instead of standing up.
"Ouch." Sonic groaned, quickly getting back up and brushing himself off. "I didn't know that he was a Fire Emblem character, Christ..."
"Well, that's what you get for charging into your enemy blindly..." Sothis complained, her tone clearly wavering on something.
"Hey, I don't see you doing anything." Sonic murmured, turning his attention back to the Pokémon. "Alright, I know how to deal with counters, just gotta... try again them, that's all!" Sonic informed himself, dashing forward back towards the battlefield.
"Wobbuffet, evasive maneuvers!" James commanded, the Pokémon looking back towards it's trainer like he had just called Sonic Unleashed a bad game.
"Wobb, wobbuffet!" the Pokémon complained, noting Sonic's high-speed stat as the Hedgehog.
"Just try your best, it's not like you'll faint in one hit." James noted, pointing towards Sonic.
"Wobb..." Wobbuffet acknowledged, putting up a defensive stance with its odd blue arms.
"Alright, well, if your opponent is shielding, you always go for a..." Sonic rushed forward, with the attack we all know is safe on shield, Sonic's best move, his dash attack, an attack which is 100% safe on shield. Sonic rammed into the opponent, barely an inch away, and-
"Wobbuffet, use counter!" James abruptly, commanded, putting Sonic into a rather precarious position with his foot outstretched towards the thing...
So why wasn't his foot moving?
…
Did I break a rift in time again?
"Hm, what should I rewind to...?" Sothis' voice pondered, seeming louder than before.
Rewind? Well, he didn't see Will Smith around, so it clearly wasn't rewind time. What was she going on about?
"I'm sure the beginning to the match would suffice, maybe then he wouldn't attack like a clown high on steroids..." Sothis laughed to herself, confirming Sonic's question before about her having jokes, though none of them were good, but also confusing him about this rewind nonsense.
Then-
{Battle! (Trainer) - Pokémon Sun & Pokémon Moon}
"Alright Sothis, since this is your first time seeing me battle, I'll let you stand back and take notes!" Sonic explained to the spirit.
…
Hey, wait a minute, didn't he just do this a few paragraphs ago?
"Well actually, before you do that, I have a suggestion to make about that Pokémon." Sothis conferred in a condescending tone. "It has the ability to counter-"
"Yeah, it can counter attacks, I literally just fought it, duh." Sonic interrupted, clearly confusing Sothis, as she took a second to respond.
"You... but you haven't fought anything yet." she assumed, even though the last few minutes said otherwise
"Nope, I literally just did, then you started talking about a rewind or whatever, and now I'm back here, so... you wanna explain what happened?" Sonic asked, not getting a clear response from Sothis.
"How... how did you hear that, you were frozen, weren't you?" Sothis pondered, seeming to hover around slightly. "Oh, my goodness, first the thing with the Totem Pokémon, and now this? Why can't we just have a generic point A to point B adventure?"
"AHEM." Jessie coughed loudly, getting the twos attention. "Are you two going to fight, or do we need to wait an hour or two?"
"Hey, rude." Sonic noted, pointing towards her. "Anyways, you gonna explain, or...?"
"Can... can we just go back to where Shulk is, I need time to think, alright?" Sothis pleaded, Sonic crossing his arms in response.
"I mean, we came all the way over here, I figure we might as well stay here." Sonic explained, the two Team Rocket members not at all amused by the conversation.
"Wobbuffet, go over there and attack while they're distracted!" Jessie proclaimed, probably pointing, though Sonic wasn't looking, nor did he care enough to look.
"I know we came all the way over and all, but I just think it would be better to go somewhere calm, you know?" Sothis attempted to push, though Sonic didn't buy it.
"The ocean is right there." Sonic noted, pointing towards the sea to his right, a few rocks visible from where they both were standing. "Just go relax."
Sothis clearly didn't seem to like the idea however. "Well, I can't really relax during a battle, so we should really-"
"Then float towards the ocean and listen to the water." Sonic suggested yet again.
"Can't I just go back to where Shulk is?" Sothis wondered.
"Well, it's better to have you here in case something happens, then you can tell Shulk." Sonic countered.
"Look I-"
"Wobbuffet, use Destiny Bond!"
"Excuse me for one second." Sonic said, turning towards the blue Pokémon and picking it up with both hands. Sonic ran towards the two Team Rocket members with his arms hoisted behind himself, tossing it towards the two at high velocity like a missile and sending them flying into the air! ...somehow.
"Aw, we didn't even get to fight..." Jessie groaned, a disappointed look on her face.
"Well, at least we tried to, right?" James attempted to cheer up, though it didn't work.
"Wobb..." Wobbuffet complained.
"LOOKS LIKE WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAAAAAINNNN-"

{Route 10 – Pokémon Sun & Moon}
Sothis floated over and seemed at a loss for words yet again. "How..."
"Anime physics, don't worry about it." Sonic clarified, not even sure himself what he meant. "Now getting back on topic, you want to explain what just happened?"
"Uh... I'm going to go listen to the ocean, I'll be back when Shulk gets here." Sothis excused, floating towards the sea, though she didn't go far, probably scared she'd dissolve or something. "See you in a few minutes."
"Huh." Sonic said to himself, scratching the side of his head. "Somethings up with that girl..." he said to himself. "And I'm gonna find out what..."he declared. "But first, I guess we should wait for Shulk..."
So as Sonic decides against having an engaging action scene, and Sothis is giving him more questions than answers, will he be able to figure out what's going on with the mysterious spirit? Will chapters be uploaded not on the 31st on the month, and more importantly, will characters stop being introduced? Find out next time when the journey continues...
{Sonic Sez intro – The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog}
Sothis walked over to a rather large orange block and began to paint the words "Sonic Says" on it, though unfortunately the words were misspelled, reading "Sonic Sez" instead. Sonic quickly popped up from behind the thing and corrected her horrible spelling, making it now read "Sonic Says" as he gave a thumbs up the you, the reader of this fanfiction.
:D
"Wait, where are we?" Sonic pondered, looking around the green pastel void they were in. She looked down and noticed she wasn't a spirit, and was her fully body. "And why do I have my full body?"
"Don't worry Sothy, this section isn't canon, it's just something for fun, you know like the worst mode in Smash 4?" he explained, confirming that everything after the Sonic Sez intro plays at the end of a chapter is NOT canon to the story.
"Canon?" Sothis asked, Sonic just shaking his head and laughing.
"Anyways, roll the clip!" Sonic beckoned, everything going dark.

{People playing dumb – Yo Kai Watch 3}
"Yes, the new pair of shoes will finally be mine!" Sothis proclaimed, her mouse hovering above the order button on the shopping website. She eagerly clicked it, only for the screen to say...
"insufficient funds"
"Oh no, I must've accidentally maxed out my credit card!" Sothis moaned, not being able to buy the shoes anymore. "Well, I guess I'll just order another credit card." she sighed, looking towards the phone. "I'm sure it'll be fine."
Suddenly, Sonic sped onto the scene!
"Woah there Sothis, I'd be careful it I was you." Sonic said, snatching away her phone. "If you buy another credit card, you'll eventually get into a habit of doing so, and that can lead to a low credit score!"
"Why should I care about my credit score?" Sothis scoffed, reaching out for her phone, though Sonic didn't let her have it, a concerned loook on his face.
"Well according to Business Insider, having a low credit score can keep you from getting a good home in the future, increase bills in said home, determine whether you can take out a loan, and even make future employers turn the other way when hiring you!"
"Really?" Sothis gasped, placing a hand on her chest like she was having a heart attack. "Well, it's a good thing you stopped me, thanks Sonic."
"Don't mention it." Sonic acknowledged, turning back towards you. "You might think you REALLY need that next pair of shoes or the latest console, but lowering your credit score can seriously mess up your future." he explained, waggling a finger. "Remember to always plan for your future if you want to be cool, like me!"
...
So...
Near the time or writing this, Roger Craig Smith, the voice of Sonic has stepped down from the role. I'm gonna say a few words before I say my usually jokey Author's Note.
I never played any Sonic games in my childhood besides Sonic Generations, but the series has always been there in my life. Sonic will never die, even if his games are bad, and while you may not have liked Forces, it's still a testament of what Sonic was at the time, and very entertaining.
Sonic has always kind of been my go-to series for anything whenever I was bored, I used to watch Sonic playthroughs, read Sonic fanfic, and even draw Sonic characters in little doodles in my notebooks in third grade. So, it kind of just takes me back with Roger stepping down how he's really just been Sonic, and the only Sonic for a majority of my life.
I guess what I'm saying is...
Thank you very much for being my childhood Roger Craig Smith. Enjoy your future, it's going to be great!
Now, back to my regular Author's notes...
No chapters in February, instead I'm going to be reformatting every prior chapter to make them presentable to what I see fit. No changes in the story, no changes to jokes, just a better edit of the fanfic.
I do this for two reasons, one so I can post this on AO3 and not get laughed at, and... well I just want this to be good if I'm being completely honest, and I want those words to look good in each chapter. I hope you understand, and until we meet again, this is Broomguy, thank you for your support, and I'll see you next time!
"Hey, you're taking off, too? I was thinking the same thing. You gonna keep moving forward? No matter what, yeah? Heh, you and I aren't so different." - Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Forces...
