"So, are you all Facebook official now?" Melissa asked "Seeing as the cat is out of the bag"
"Does anyone even use Facebook anymore?" She asked raising an eyebrow.
"Don't avoid the question" Melissa laughed throwing a sugar packet at her.
Quinn couldn't keep the smile from her face. Part of her was still waiting for the other shoe to drop because she was so happy. Things were simple with Adam. Or as simple as they could be all things considered. Having Beth find out by walking in on them in the kitchen wasn't how she had planned on telling her, but Beth had been surprisingly fine about the whole thing. She had worried Adam would have a freak out and realise he didn't really want any of it. But everything had been amazing. Nothing much had changed.
Adam still teased Beth to no end. Beth still wound him up and had preteen meltdowns. Between the two of them they worked her last nerve while Finn tore her house about exploring and playing. It was perfect.
"Well it's not a secret" She replied "I just don't know if I'm supposed to tell Antonio, I still see his parents sometimes, Eva might visit again, I think it's weird for Adam at work"
"So" Melissa said seeing her expression get slightly more worried "Did I tell you that things are still going amazingly well with Matt?"
"I knew it would" She said with a grin "Matt is a great guy, you just needed to stop dating bad boys"
"Isn't Adam a bad boy?" Melissa teased.
"No, he just thinks he is" She said shaking her head "He's honestly a sweetheart, maybe just a little impulsive sometimes"
"Are you coming to the staff Christmas party?" Melissa asked.
"An excuse to drink wine with you and Donna?" She asked raising an amused eyebrow "I wouldn't miss it"
"Right answer" Melissa nodded with a satisfied smile.
When Quinn got back from her coffee catch up with Melissa, she was not surprised to see Beth and Adam still in pyjamas on the couch playing video games.
"Is this really how you spend your day off?" She teased resting a hand on Adam's shoulder.
Adam had become even more of a regular fixture in their household than he was before. Finn was with his grandparents and Beth was supposed to be picked up by Noah later in the afternoon.
"You need to get dressed before your Dad gets here" She reminded her.
"Just one more game" Beth pleaded "I'm winning"
"Only because you cheated" Adam muttered.
"One game" She agreed rolling her eyes.
She walked through into the kitchen to unload the dishwasher. It always amazed her the number of dishes they managed to get through. Her laundry load with a toddler and a preteen was no joke.
"How was your morning?" Adam asked as he joined her in the kitchen.
"It was good" She told him as he put his arms around her "Lots of gossiping about you"
"About how amazing I am?" He asked kissing her shoulder.
"Melissa thinks I can do better" She said with a shrug.
"Melissa thinks I'm hilarious" He scoffed pinching her sides making her laugh.
"You are pretty great" She agreed wrapping her arms around his neck as she turned to face him.
"I was thinking…" He started.
"Sounds dangerous" She teased as he stopped mid-sentence.
Quinn furrowed her brow as he looked slightly nervous.
"What?" She asked biting her lip.
"Well I'm always here anyway, I thought maybe I should move in" He said quickly "But you know I get it's probably too soon, and it won't change anything if you said no, or…"
"You're rambling" She told him with a small smile placing a hand on his chest "I'd really like that"
"You would?" He asked looking like he wasn't sure he had heard her quite right.
"I would" She nodded.
Quinn squealed as he picked her up from the ground as he squeezed her in a big bear hug. Adam's good moods and excitement were infectious.
"Put me down" She laughed.
He placed her down and kissed her as her feet touched the ground.
….
Quinn had picked up Finn from his Grandparents and Adam had offered to cook dinner to celebrate them moving in together.
He had been in the kitchen when he got a call to head into work. He smiled leaning in the door frame as he watched Quinn putting Finn to bed. It was kind of adorable to see. She gently stroked his face as he eyes drifted closed. She smiled at Adam as she walked over to him putting her arms around his waist. He wrapped his arms around her resting his head on top of hers.
"You need to head into work?" She asked quietly as she pulled the nursery door over.
"I do" He said regretfully "I know I promised I'd cook; I'll get back as soon as I can"
"Don't worry my waistline is grateful" She told him kissing him on the cheek.
"Not everything I make is that bad" He said shaking his head "I'm in great shape"
"I know you are" She said patting his stomach "But some of us don't run after bad guys all day and need to work a little harder at keeping our figures"
"I like yours" He told her grabbing her waist.
Quinn was curvier since she'd had Finn. She didn't say anything, but he knew it bothered her. To him she was beautiful and sexy, and it frustrated him that she didn't feel that way about herself. She could use a dose of his confidence.
Adam couldn't keep the smile from his face when he walked into work. Kevin furrowed his brow as he looked at him.
"What's going on?" Kevin asked him as they sat down waiting for Hank to brief them.
"Nothing" He shrugged.
"Then why the goofy grin?" Kevin asked rolling his eyes.
Adam looked around the bull pen, Hayley and Jay were busy talking and not paying them any attention.
"I'm moving in with Quinn" He confided.
"Already?" Kevin asked loudly "Ruzek seriously, you need to stop moving so fast"
"What now?" Jay asked looking up from his desk.
Adam elbowed Kevin in the ribs. Things with him and Quinn weren't a secret, but he knew how people felt, especially Jay.
"Nothing" He told him.
"You're not engaged, again are you?" Hayley asked raising an eyebrow.
"No" He told her "Things are just going well with Quinn, and I'm moving in"
"That is never going to end well" Jay said shaking his head.
"I think she's good for you" Hayley told him kindly "You seem really happy"
"I am" He told her.
He was glad that things between him and Hayley could be so normal. It was the same with him and Kim, other than a brief hook up they'd remained friends as well. He had loved Kim, and he had really cared about Hayley. He did move fast a lot. But he really wanted things to work with Quinn. They had started off as friends and he was sure about her.
