Q is having too much fun, across the multi-verse and decides he is bored. Oh dear here we go again.
The One with Q:
Picard was one of the best Starfleet captains ever. He had helped establish an alliance between the Romulan and Klingon Empires, the Marquis and the Federation to fight the Dominion. First stop was the neutralize the Cardassian Union and go from there. With the help of Sisko the Dominion war did not go in the founders favor, at all. Voyager had come back, Seven of Nine or Annika had ended up on the Enterprise E and Picard was in love. Oh and a certain super nova had not happened and the Romulan people had Picard to thank for that.
On board the Enterprise E lt. Commander Harry Potter was having the time of his life. He still had to figure out how to get rid of Voldemort but for now that evil git was contained in the crystal caves and not going anywhere soon. Why things were looking up, Sarek should have died but Harry managed to save his mind and such with potions and wand work (he was a master healer after all) and a side effect was Sarek had wed once more (a Romulan refuge this time) and had three children, Spack, T'Ni and Sulu (the last Spock named for some reason). He was on board the Enterprise E and was talking with Harry and Picard. There was a puff of pink smoke and a woman clad in a suit straight out of Mary Poppins was there.
"Oh hello, Harry I took care of Voldemort, oh, oh is this the Enterprise?" Rose asked and on seeing Picard, "I am sorry sir for trespassing, permission to come on board?"
"Yes permission granted, are you a Q?"
"That race of annoying inter-dimensional trouble makers?" Rose said, "no, not me, I am a witch, or a mage who made a vow to travel the multi-verse to defeat Voldemort in all forms."
"Thank you." Harry said, "I not only made it into the Academy but aced everything, no magic."
"Well you always were smart." Rose replied, "so Luna."
"Yes, she is here, came with me when I ended up in the future, she is probably with young Charlus and…"
Before Harry could finish that sentence there was a flash and a very handsome man clad in a command Starfleet uniform appeared. Sarek raised and eyebrow, Picard looked upset and Q turned and stepped back on seeing Rose. Rose was not impressed, she wished AK was here with her, he knew how to really make Q squirm and it was that one thing that got Rose to like AK. He became her brother then, but he was battling one of the worst Voldemort out there and he was indeed very busy, something about this Voldemort being able to cross dimensions and now both were in a battle in limbo that Rose knew AK would win.
"Not you!" Q said to Rose.
"Oh yes, me." Rose replied, "what are you doing here?"
"Well I missed dear captain Picard so, I only wanted to drop by and say hello." Q replied, "what are you doing here?"
"Oh doing my job, taking out Voldemort." Rose said, "let me guess, you told the dear captain here you are a god, omnipotent and all that."
"Well whatever he is he can get off my ship!" Picard said.
"No can do captain!" Q replied.
"Yes you can." Rose said banishing him with a wave of her hand.
She turned to Harry and looked at him, truly looked at him. Sentenced to life in Azkaban for the department of mysteries battle, saved by an unspeakable and believed to have died he was sent to the far future with Luna. Having only themselves in this new world they managed to gain a spot in the Academy and became Starfleet officers and stationed on the Enterprise D and finally Enterprise E. Voldemort had been contained but not defeated and magical society had crumbled. There was still magic out there but no longer was it isolated nor was their much culture left.
Harry had been very helpful under Picard's command, but Luna was the shining star, she led negotiations between the Romulans and Klingons getting them to see that uniting against the Dominion was the only way to survive. Now the three powers were fully united though still separate governments. The founders and the Dominion were now fully defeated and the Cardassians were under Klingon rule. The Klingons actually did free the people and those that were spiritual were able to come out of hiding and worship freely, but they were not allowed weapons and a ten percent tax was taken to pay their new overlords in guarding them.
Q came back and glared at Rose and Harry was the next to banish him. Picard was now amused, Sarek was finding this highly illogical and Q should know when to retreat. He kept coming back and finally Rose and Harry just glared at him and wondered just what he wanted. He was so very annoying and his pretending to be a god was really getting old. He was a dimensional traveler like them of a race of such travelers and he had been banished several times for his meddling in things he should not have. He was here and Picard was not happy, nor was Ricker or others here. Q pulled a rather upset and battered looking Snape out of thin air.
"Guess who I found?" Q said.
"Unhand him at once!" Rose and Harry said as one.
"I can take care of myself!" Snape snapped, "oh joy two of you brats!"
"Same old Snape." Harry said, "always such an evil git, but I understand and love him, here you need a hug."
"Harry that might not be the best idea." Rose said but Harry just went and gave Snape a manly hug, healing him up in the process "oh he is upset."
"Unhand me you insolent dog!" Snape snarled.
"Oh good you are my dear professor Snape!" Harry said grinning from ear to ear, "I thought you had, well it looked like you died and here you are! I know what you did, and well I know mum would want us to get along, so Pax?"
"No."
"Oh come on, I did, well I kept your estate, your books and things and they are here, separate, never could keep them with my stuff, I did use your notes and such to help others, and well I will pay you back for that." Harry said.
"Merlin so like your mother, you can't shut up!" Snape said, "what did you do to your hair and glasses?"
"Oh I am in Starfleet and well the hair was too much and my eyes are fixed, and well, I am glad to see you in all your grumpiness." Harry said hugging him again.
"Stop that, fine Pax if you will stop hugging me!" Snape said, "so where are we? Looks very muggle and very advanced, Potter if we are in space…"
"Oh not my doing sir! Q's fault, he likes to meddle and well none of us like him very much sir."
"I resent that!" Q replied, "I am very likeable!"
"Oh really?" Harry said.
"No you really are not." Rose said. "We have power but don't abuse it, you just do whatever you want and don't care about other people's feelings."
"Much like my dad, love the man but he was a git." Harry said. "You need to respect Picard, if he says get off his ship you should do so and when coming on board you ask permission."
"As I did, and thank you captain for your hospitality, I know you replicator can get you this, but could I conjure you a cup of Earl Grey Tea hot as a way of saying thanks?"
"Yes, that would be delightful." Picard said.
Q watched two beings nearly as powerful as him doing something he thought beneath him. They were nice to Picard, respectful and did not try to play jokes or anything. He found the whole thing boring and so was gone in a flash. In the meantime Snape was taken to a world full of only magicals where his potions craft was respect, he wed, had ten kids and lived happily er grumpily ever after. Rose hung out for a time enjoying the ship and in time she did move on. She did gain the respect of Picard and his crew as she was decent and humble with the crew, asking if she could use her vast magic as a sign of respect.
Picard missed her when she left, he had thought of retiring from Starfleet as he was getting old, but Rose convinced him to stay in Starfleet. Riker did end up getting the Enterprise E when Picard became an Admiral and Picard did wed Annika. They lived on earth on his vineyard in France where they raised their children and only one out of the three they had would go to Starfleet herself. Picard was a good Admiral, he helped broker peace across the galaxy and was there when trans-warp drive, a dream for eons was realized.
The galaxy was fully open and new races quickly joined the Federation and the Federation turned into the Republic with a new world as the capital called Haven. The galaxy would never be the same again. Rose in the meantime had a treacle tart to make and a brother to give it to after his harrowing leap across dimensions on the hunt and defeat of the worse Voldemort ever.
