Chapter 12 - Perfect Your Style, Deku!

'Why are there a bunch of lemons outside the classroom' Yuki pointed crudely at the masses with a note held back. When she opened the door to leave, the last thing she expected to see were a mob muttering and shoving to look into her class. Yuki backed up a little, channeling energy into a SIVA cluster as it hummed in her hand

"Why the heck are you all here!?" Ochaco blurted out, while Yuki shrugged, jabbing a thumb there way with a dull look

"Do all of you students have some business with our class?" Iida asked calmly but Yuki had already pieced it together, not liking the outcome

'Clearly they haven't seen the news...' This was followed by a scoff behind her, shoving past her was none other than her favorite Dumb-Dumb. She flicked the page around. 'So you know it too, huh? Smart... well, certainly not dumb anyway'

"Go to hell you Mute Bastard-" Now it was 'Bastard', then again, Yuki wouldn't complain but she wasn't going to prove to him she was a chick. "-and of course I did, we're the class that survived a real villain attack, figure it out yourselves."

Kacchan stood before the crowd, making them hesitate while his scowl remained. "Atleast you know what a future pro looks like, out of my way you bunch of extras," He spat, with half of the class yelling and freaking out over his declaration of war, Yuki facepalmed, thinking that the window was a viable exit

"You can't just call them extras just because you don't know them!" Iida reprimanded Kacchan but he didn't waver, but the crowd did to let someone through, two people in-fact

"So this is class 1-A? I heard you guys were impressive but you just sound like an ass." A lanky guy with eyes that would put Mr. Aizawa to shame stepped forward, purple hair wavy and sticking up. Another person beside him also came into view, looking bigger in terms of muscle and with short, black hair, messy too, his eyes were heterochromia, the left green, and the right hazel

"Well, if it isn't my ol' friend!" Yuki froze, blinking a few times as her body craned to the creepy man's left to see the grinning face of the boy. "Long time no see, Yuyu!"

"Yuyu!?" The class had to echo it while she stepped forward, slamming her SIVA enhanced fist into his chest, he coughed, followed by his own punching her right back, making Izuku almost jump in without realizing it himself, but they both coughed for a second, then linked a hand in a firm lock

"You've, heh, gotten stronger?" He chuckled, while Yuki shrugged, peace sign to her left eye. "And your sass remains, hahaha!"

'Coming from the same guy who thinks with his fists over his head, I find my sass to be an improvement over your antics,' She held out, then she pulled away, poking a thumb at her friend's friend. 'Who's tall, dark, and annoying?'

"Ah right, well I'll let him give ya the rundown, I just came to see ya," He paused, then smiled with his arms crossed. "And so I have, later Yuyu!" Both waved as he pushed through the crowd, and Yuki didn't feel as challenged by the crowd anymore since most never expected her to be friends with Jura Nakami, one of the only people Yuki knew from her past that still talked to her... once in a blue moon

"I didn't even know he was at UA... asshole couldn't even send a text?" She shook her head and strolled back to Izuku's side, seeing the strange look on his face. She poked his freckles, seeing him jolt back to reality as he fumbled with his hands

"O-Oh, sorry Yuki I was... lost in thought." "Why am I getting worked up? That's probably how they greet each other... no, it's not that..." He noticed Yuki staring directly at him, poking his cheek that resulted in him zipping a few inches from her, breaking eye contact

"Hmm..." Yuki didn't give... whoever it was monologuing, an ear. She got the gist of it, everyone was scouting them out for their spot in the Hero Course, something All Might alerted Yuki to long ago that if a student wasn't performing well they can have someone from another course switch places, he was here for that, but Yuki knew better, everyone she knew had potential, they weren't like dumb-dumb, they didn't flaunt their talent, they'll be like Yuki, show not tell

What had her attention was Izuku's reaction, he was staring in the direction Kacchan made his rude exit, though blunt, it made sense, they weren't going to be able to worm their way out of this, these people were gunning for them, that was obvious so they had to play it rough too.

"Damnnit, Bakugo, that was such a manly exit." Kirishima deflated with defeat, though Yuki would have to disagree, his ego will get him killed or at the very least his ass kicked by Yuki herself, maybe she can rope Ochaco in?

Back to her point, Izuku's gaze was lost with... an emotion Yuki couldn't describe, she should but on Izuku's face, it was hard to tell. "Is he mad about something? Maybe I should talk to him - again, I cannot speak, yes Yuki, you are mute, you 'write' not 'speak'."

Breathing through her nose Yuki turned toward her exit, that is until that boy from before spoke up again. "You, the one in the creepy mask," Yuki blinked, looking around at her class with a confused gaze. "Don't act smug," She turned around, eyes flat with annoyance, going to the gym was going to be a pain. "I heard about you and your Quirk, the crazy red energy and metal you use, pretty amazing stuff."

'Is there a rest stop between here and the fucking point?' That got a few chuckles from her class, the dull student didn't seem to mind and simply put a hand against the back of his head

"It was something I wanted to know myself, I heard a whisper that a villain specifically gunned for you, any of that true?" His words cut her like a hot knife, and her resolve was shifted, his eyes, despite the empty look twitched a bit, she had slipped. "I see, so is the rumor true? That you lost control of your Quirk and went on a rampage? Kinda sucks if I can't see what all the fuss is about myself, a few of us were really interested too." Where was he going with this? What point did his question have?

She shook her head slowly. "It... wasn't my fault, I was manipulated... it wasn't, no, I'm not falling again, not this time." Yuki slowed her breathing, a hand against her heart for a moment as it ticked a little more.

"Don't bring something like that up," Yuki didn't move, instead, she became a statue once more as the scene unfolded, her eyes wide

Izuku felt his face redden but he didn't care, nor did he realize he moved to stand beside Yuki, defending her, but something inside him just... hated hearing that, after everything Yuki went through, the day she almost slipped from him and his class, it terrified him. But now, after hearing the small pieces of her life, and the sacrifices she's made, he couldn't sit back and let someone else come around and taunt her for something out of her control.

The way he stood was unwavering, he posture and voice were unlike anything she had seen or heard before, it made her smile warmly, moving close while feeling her mind settle.

"Oh?" Shinso had his interest piqued, he hadn't expected someone to back her up, nor how she stood close to him. He did realize that now half of the class stared dangerously in his direction, almost begging him to say something wrong. "So she's got a following? She'll definitely be worth keeping around." "So then, I suppose you're just as delusional as that other one? Think you can stop me?"

Izuku bit his tongue but didn't break eye contact. "You don't know Yuki, so don't act as if you have the right to bring up anything she'd been through as though you were there. It hasn't been easy for her, or for any of us, we never asked to be attacked, but we took it as a kick to the face and kept going, it was hard but don't stand there and judge her or anyone based on rumors and misheard information!"

Yuki was thankful for the mask, not expecting to be put on the spot or to hear his inner words spill out, but as she looked back, everyone was watching her closely, some offered smiles and comforting eyes that made her realize how close they had all gotten in such a small fraction of time, she was thankful, and her confidence was renewed as her fingers snaked between Izuku's, seeing him flinch for a second, but her curved eyes made him smile, but she knew he could tell.

Shinso looked between them then nodded with understanding. "I get it, Hitoshi Shinso, I'll be sure to come at you both with everything I got at the Festival," He turned and took his leave. "I'll take your spots right from under you while I'm at it, same with Jura."

"He roped him in, of course, he did, Jura's a boisterous guy but a little too naive." Yuki pinched her metal nose, then gave Izuku a note as she left his side, making steady progress toward the window, everyone then watched as she opened it and dove straight out with a dolphin dive for flair

Izuku freaked out but saw her walk away below with a wave, as everyone sighed with relief. Taking a peek at the note, he felt his nerves bundle up again, trying not to face anyone until his face stopped glowing. He hadn't realized it but what he said... he almost... "No, stop it, I have to focus!"

'Meet me at Gym 1, get your gear together, before the sun sets I'm going to give you a lesson or two, ;)' His hand crumpled the note, memories flooding back as he stared out into the courtyard below, fixated on Kacchan's words and how they reflected him now

"You won't beat me again! I'm just getting started!" Kacchan roared, tears struck the corner of his eyes while he ground his teeth. "Got that!? I'm going to end up the Number One Hero no matter what!"

"Kacchan... maybe I'm just an idiot..." He clenched his fist tighter around Yuki's note, memories surfacing at his own negligence of the situation

"I'm going to become a Pro, I'll sign with a good agency and make lots of money..." Ochaco's selfless wish

"As the second oldest Iida son I strive to be a great a Hero as my brother..." Iida's honor and pride

"That's why the Festival matters..." Mr. Aizawa's advice

"The difference between those two mindsets has a big impact on how far you go in the Real World." All Might too

'-you will become a hero, the best in the whole world' Yuki's support

Later that same afternoon, Izuku arrived in his gym clothes to the vacant Gym, it was spacious, say for the equipment left around the edge of the floor, while someone stood nearby doing stretches. He swore he was dreaming, or something had caused him to suffer from heatstroke. Yuki stretched while only wearing black gym shorts paired with a black sports bra, her trainers squeaking on the floor as her mask turned to him, startling him out of his daydream while she flicked a lock behind her mask.

'Good, you survived the mob, ready to start your reincarnated training from hell?' His gawking turned to fear over the course of a few seconds, opting the sly gaze of the girl to flick a note. 'Your Quirk and mine are similar in the attribute of enhancing key aspects such as strength, endurance, speed, and durability. Yours... breaks every bone in said limb'

He 'urked' at that, amusing Yuki as she took his hand, pulling him closer than he was comfortable with but he didn't say a word, not that his mouth would listen while he subconsciously freaked out, trembling as her hands ran over his body, pressing against his muscles and joints while he stammered. "Y-Y-Yuki!?" She held her hand up for him to stop, seeing her gaze narrowed while she continued to feel along his arms and legs.

"His muscles have formed well, and improved too, definitely better than that skeletal frame he had before, I could do this all day if I'm honest but I might just lose him, shame." She sighed at her loss and stood up straight, holding out her palm that buzzed with a few bolts, the other held a note. 'Punch my hand'

"What, why?" His brow raised and she shoved her palm against his chest, pushing him back. "Huh?" Again, she held out the note, and it finally clicked with a bright smile. "You're going to teach me how to fight better!?" Sadly she shook her head, twisting the note while his eyes nearly flew out, stammering again. "R-Really!?"

'No. I'm going to teach you how to bring out a fraction of One For All.' That was all he needed to hear, and he threw his first punch at his best friend. Their hands collided, and Yuki barely flinched. She bobbed her head and he repeated the action again. Another nod, and he followed. This then built a rhythm

This kept up for atleast ten minutes, and not a single punch hit Yuki and she had hardly put any strength into her hands. Izuku could tell it wasn't even five percent of her normal power, her eyes hadn't changed and her fingernails had only turned black. His frustration was building, and so, with a slide to his right, he spun on his knees and struck up with a left hook.

*Bam!*

"Gah! Ow..." Izuku laid on his back, Yuki grasping his wrist while a note floated down. She let go and cracked her knuckles

'You're comparing your power to mine exactly, while a good mental note you shouldn't think like that, and believing One For All as something special isn't smart, even for you' Her words cut deep but Izuku pocketed the note and charged again, throwing a series of coordinated attacks that Yuki easily dodged. "What does she mean that believing One For All is special when it isn't?"

Yuki twirled, slamming her palm into his chin. Izuku retaliated, clenching his right fist again. "Picture the egg not exploding, I can do this, just five percent!" His hand dove upward, but Yuki grabbed his face, slamming his body into the ground with her legs straddling him, her arm pushing his aside as a gust of wind tore above them

Izuku winced, his face coming into contact with the metal nose touching his, his face turned scarlet while struggling against her legs, but she didn't move, pulling her head away to hold out a note. After failing to remove himself from the mortifying position, his eyes cracked open to read her new note.

'You changed your tactics, you've always been forward-thinking, but that won't help if you keep using One For All in the same way you are now. In the end, you're copying All Might, instead of copying yourself' That struck him deeper. Izuku admired All Might, he wanted to be just like him, but he copied his fighting style, his moves, even how he utilized One For All. He wore a disheartened frown. "Am I... tying myself down to his shadow? Is that why I can't control my power?"

Yuki stood off of him, holding out a hand he gingerly took. Handing him a cold cloth Izuku continued to stare at Yuki while she stretched her arms. She was toned, not with as many visible muscles as him but her body was suited for her power, and yet, the more he lingered on her the more he realized her power wasn't the same as his, sure, they had similarities as she said but that was when the line was drawn.

"We have two weeks before the festival arrives, and the world will be watching. In that time Yuki was going to pass along some of the knowledge she gained when using SIVA, in the end, I will learn to harness even just a fraction of my power!" Izuku knew what he had to do, with an uproar of focus, he grabbed his notebook a made a new page. "If I'm going to master One For All I need to analyze myself, my strengths and weaknesses, compare them to All Might and Yuki, even Kacchan's ability to maneuver too..."

While his murmurs continued out loud, Yuki grabbed their bags, smiling thoughtfully at the cute expression on his face, how his eyes lit up more and more with each addition to this notebook, seeing him jot down all she taught him in only a twenty-minute session. "You've always been smart Izuku, I know you'll figure it out," Yuki tugged their bags closer to her back. "I want to fight you for real, I want to show the world our power together... that's okay, right? To have that selfish request?"

Day One of their training came to a close, and with each day Yuki didn't plan on holding back.

'I didn't tell you to stop! Keep going!' Her angry message was followed by another kick to the back, throwing Izuku into the sand, his body spinning around to throw another punch, his face covered in sand and sweat while Yuki continued to act as a punching pad, she noticed it, he was starting to adapt to her fighting style, his attacks were beginning to change and merge

He spun around, landing a right cross to her palm, pulling it away to reach out with a left hook, skimming her mask before her legs swept him off his own, knocking him into the sea while she laughed judging by how she held her sides, Izuku would find it cute if not for the fact he was nearly drowning.

Yuki noticed this and panicked, grabbing his arm before she was pulled in too, both falling into the waves while Izuku laughed at her expense, the girl glaring back as her mask's glow turned red, alerting him to hesitantly swim back. 'Start paddling, boi' Her drenched note signed

Izuku was starting to make progress, even though each day his body was sore from exercising similarly to All Might's workout routine, Yuki was less strict but compensated for his body and worked to improve his overall experience. He gobbled down his food, with Yuki sitting beside him taking her time. "I need to work on my stamina next, while I would normally walk a great amount of steps training alone I should couple runs with our combat training..." "I also need to focus on not falling into a rhythm with Yuki's fighting style but instead taking notes on how her body moves in accordance to her agility and level of power in comparison to my own-"

*Boop*

Yuki's finger retracted as she rolled her eyes, slipping her mask over her mouth again while waving a hand in front of her face. 'Perhaps a shower would be your next step, buddy' This made him scratch his cheek while nervously complying to her whims, though she did hold out another note. 'Don't take too long, a girl slash trainer needs to relax too you know!'

Later that night, Inko came to inspect the two of them, wondering why they never replied to her callings. When she opened her son's door she stopped herself from turning on the light, smiling softly at the sight of Izuku sleeping with his head resting on Yuki's, her own slumped against his shoulder with notes and school work laid out before them. With a hum she lifted a blanket and carefully covered the two of them, resisting the urge to take a photo in case she woke them.

Our training continued, and I was starting to get better and it was only the first week, but I had an idea...

While Izuku and Yuki ran along the school track for the second time, both practically dead men walking, Izuku pushed to keep going, to break his limits. He had given it thought all day, about what Yuki first advised him on, and how much those words lingered, haunting his training with whispers and maybes. "If I'm copying All Might, then I should try and do what he and Kacchan do, using One For All to increase my movement. Right now, I can either go zero or one hundred, but in the moment the power reaches my arms or legs I can use the wind pressure like All Might's jumps without breaking my body..."

It was late at night between two apartment complexes just outside Izuku's own, he was alone and had padded his body for his private lesson. He needed to finally step up his progress, to go beyond simple fighting and body exercises. "I have to stop thinking One For All as anything abnormal, my classmates can utilize their Quirks naturally so mine's no different," His gaze turned toward the trash-filled alley between two concrete towers. "If I draw out even five percent like Yuki I can move like Kacchan. Kirishima and Mr. Aizawa were right if I can master my power I can extend my capabilities before the festival and beyond!"

He looked between the walls, pointing out the moments he'd impact the surfaces with five percent, the difficult part would be channeling his Quirk instantly without thinking, it had to become second nature in order to pull this off. Taking a few stretches, Izuku bent at the knees, hands swayed backward in preparation to land. "Keep the egg from exploding..." His legs glowed brightly, and with a flurry of sparks his body released the energy, the compressed air causing an updraft to fling Izuku forward

He completely face-planted, colliding with the trash below as a cusion. "Ah... well, good thing I have a softer landing..." Rubbing his bleeding nose he picked himself up. "Of course, I doubt this would be easy..." "I have to put power into both my arms and legs on the second jump otherwise I'll break my bones in the fall, but that requires more focus between my first and second jumps."

His constant trial and error persisted through the night, and Izuku finally felt his face stop stinging as his hand shakily knocked on the door set before him, his clothing smelled and he felt dust cling to his hair. He was a wreck but needed advice as soon as possible, he was thankful it was the weekend.

'Sweet merciful god, what the fuck happened to your face?' Yuki's note and blink were the first things he saw. She wore a pair of PJ shorts and a tank top, her hair looking damp as she pulled the door open, her gaze curved while she put a hand over her stomach, clearly loving his misery as his face fixed itself with a smile, body trembling a little

"Yeah... I was training on my own early today and went a little too far..." Izuku wheezed out while rubbing his eyes of sleep, lazily following Yuki into the kitchen while she prepared emergency tea for him. "I tried to take everything you said a put it into practice after all this time but... the result didn't pan out too well."

'You gave it your best but I've only been training your body and fighting style as insurance for the festival, honestly, I don't know how you can bring forth your power' Her note made Izuku blink, noting Yuki's back turned to him while she prepared their drinks. 'I've been thinking and so far I can use SIVA because he himself regulated my percentages for me when I started training, and All Might and my mom are... odd teachers'

That nugget of information sparked Izuku's fanboy while stepping closer. "I've already been trained by All Might but I never asked how your experience was!" This brought her gaze back to him, and he saw her eyes turn into those rectangular ovals again.

'Um... the best way I can describe this is... ever seen Godzilla vs. Zilla?' Izuku nodded, knowing about that particular movie, and Yuki shook her head as the realization dawned on him

"What, seriously!?" He rushed in to hold her by her shoulders, quickly pulling away sheepishly while Yuki blinked, wondering again why her bloody chest was feeling knotty. "I-I mean, that must have been tough."

'And you wonder why I annoy him all the time... :3' Yuki and Izuku shared a laugh, just then, silenced reined, forcing Yuki to turn and slam her fist into the kettle, startling Izuku. 'Gah, stupid boiling cauldron contraption!' Izuku read to himself

Yuki snatched it from him, crumpling with a sigh. 'You know back on the beach... when I... was afraid to lose you guys?' While a raw topic Izuku kept silent and nodded for her to continue. 'Well SIVA obviously creates my notes, as I've told you, but when I get... highly emotional he likes to pump out my inner thoughts as well, not anything private of course, but things that upset me majorly that he feels others should know'

This other fragment of information only made Izuku's fascination with Yuki's Quirk grow a little more. Yuki flicked the kettle on again, but Izuku's eyes didn't leave the blue light inside the metal boiler while subconsciously moving his mouth. "Is it broken?"

Yuki shrugged, hitting her hand off the top. 'Mom said it's just buggy but has yet to get a new one, so here we are, despite my warnings, it might blow up or something' Her nonchalant attitude had him deadpan

"Sometimes I wonder if she's being serious or just isn't danger aware..." He put a hand to his chin, watching Yuki without realizing his gaze lingered between her soft hands and the kettle beside her as she silently threw a tantrum and prepared a new cup for herself, grabbing ducktape to keep the switch down this time. "I need to draw out my Qurik as easy as breathing. Yuki and the others have had years to get into the mindset so I have to try and catch up as fast as I can without damaging my body further."

A new note flew into his hand. 'I've had it! I'm throwing this thing into the Mariana Trench and buying a new one! I swear, what kind of person keeps a kettle that can't keep the power on long enough to boil the whole bloody pot of water!?' Yuki fumed steam from her head, eyes turned to small mushroom clouds while Izuku put the note down, mouth stuck in an 'O' shape

"That's it..." Yuki's glare craned his way, seeing the look of stupendous realization crossing his wide eyes. "I-I got it!" Her eyes reverted, head tilted at what he could possibly have 'gotten'? If it were a new kettle she'd be thankful. He flew past her, causing her to spin for a second as she watched Izuku hold out the kettle for a moment. "The kettle... is me!"

She looked slowly to the kettle... then to Izuku as though he had lost his mind. 'I think the blood stopped flowing to your head' He wasn't listening to her, that glint in his eyes was the telltale sign, but he smiled timidly

"No not exactly, I'm not a kettle... but I get it," He remained grounded to his belief, hands clenched while feeling an unfathomable amount of power begin to fluctuate inside of him. "Up 'till now I've only been summoning One For All when I needed it, each flick of that switch ground my reaction time down. Which means I shouldn't be flipping the switch off!"

Yuki stood a step back to admire Izuku's keen observation, arms crossed as the hair on her arms buzzed from the energy building from Izuku. She didn't expect him to figure it out so quickly, but like always he found ways to surpass her expectations, it made her heart buzz with excitement each time. "You did it, Zuzu."

First, his legs cracked with reddish-purple lines, his skin heating up while the same energy traversed his arms, then his chest and up through his neck. "I need to keep the switch on! The energy held in one place coursing through-out my body!" The sensation's flow changed, unlike before, his body was pulled and his bones creaked only from how unfamiliar the constant input of energy was. He ground his teeth, bending down to force the last of the energy into his face, almost drawing blood from his palms

"One For All needs to flow through me, continuously, the five percent that I can use!" His body finally moved in accordance with his thoughts, the lines finally vanished and left Izuku feeling energized, his body glowed with a soft hum of green, bolts of emerald striking across his limbs while he struggled to maintain his form

Yuki now stood before him, revealing she had taken off her mask, displaying her beautiful, blue eyes now wide with wonder written on as a smile. His heart thumped in his throat, but while the sight of her face was motivating he bit his cheek, trying to hold the energy as it flickered. "I-I don't know if I can hold it..."

'Can you move?' She asked, but he strained to hold her gaze, but he saw that confident grin of hers. 'Want to give it a shot?'

Izuku took a long blink, smiling back with a fierce glare to match her own buzz of anticipation, the same he wore defending Yuki from Shinso. "Let's do it!" It dawned on him quickly. "Wait, not here we can't- Gah!" Two feet immediately collided with his stomach, cutting off the flow while his back slammed into the coffee table in the living room.

'If you can manage the flow you'll be on an entirely different league at the Sports Festival' Yuki added, flicking the note around. 'I'm coming at you Izuku, your job is to hit me once within three minutes, got it?'

Now familiar energy filled the air, red lightning and an ominous glow radiated across Yuki, her black claws sharp while her own eyes slowly diluted into scarlet, the pupils sharp and angular as though Izuku was being stalked by a predator. In a way it was true, Yuki was an apex animal against Izuku who was like prey that learned to fight back, one held a significant advantage.

After a few stretches, Yuki took her stance and held out her hand, taunting Izuku to test her skill while she slipped her mask back on. 'Come and get me, Deku'

Before he could even register her action his arm was struck, throwing him back onto the coffee table, followed by a seamless flurry of red that streaked across the house, bouncing off the walls while landing weak but distracting punches. Izuku stood his ground, eyes blared at the attack from behind, he spun but gasped as a foot struck his face, throwing him over the sofa.

He swung his arm backward, missing Yuki my a mile as she ricocheted off the kitchen counter, to the pillar at the edge of the island, her fist connecting with Izuku's back. Izuku flinched, trying to carefully pinpoint her movements, she wasn't always this fast, but with some SIVA clusters augmenting her legs she had an old ability from an old teacher.

SIVA | Augment | Jet Booster

With her speed up to par with All Might himself, he couldn't keep a constant eye on her landings, each turn and strike he made ended with her kicking his back or punching his arms. "One For A-Ack!" Her fist across his chin sent him on his knees, followed swiftly by a lower-bearing sweep on his thighs, knocking him to the floor. "I need time to get it flowing through my body... I just need a few seconds!" He slid down goofily under the coffee table, confusing Yuki

"Is he trying to hide? Really?" She kept a deadpan stare from the ceiling, seeing his arms vanish underneath. With a shrug she bore down on the furniture, fists ready to break wood and pride

In a single breath, the coffee table flew to meet Yuki, startling her into jumping off the surface and back to the air, surprised to see Izuku finally channeling his power again. "So he was keeping my eyes off him, classic!"

Slamming his elbows into the floor the pressure from before built again, racing to his body. "Now's my chance!" His body shot through the air, right arm raised like a claw toward his friend's surprised body. "One For All! Full Cowling!" He declared to himself, swiping air, the wind pressure tossing books off a shelf.

Yuki had suspected he'd try that, slamming her feet against the wall behind him. "Sorry, but time's up!" Yuki slammed into the floor, blinking at the startling understanding that she missed, Izuku had flown up above her, back against the ceiling with his face contorted with refined focus. "Oh? Well, I'm screwed aren't I?"

His elbows and feet bent against the plaster, body soaring down with a fist glowing brightly. "Smash!" Yuki tried to move, but her foot caught on the edge of the sofa, so she braced her arms into a lock and took his punch head-on, the shockwave sent her sprawling backward, her hand instinctively reached out and tugged on Izuku's shirt, pulling him along as the two friends rolled across the floor, colliding with the bookshelf as a number of said material fell atop them.

"Ugh, that was rough..." Izuku groaned, rubbing his head, his other pressed up against Yuki's exposed stomach closer to her... "Huh?" He blinked, looking down at his hand, then noticed he had been straddling her while she rubbed her face, mask off while shaking her head. "She hasn't noticed, I can quickly move..." His face slowly turned crimson while retracting his hand, but a finger flicked his nose

'Nice landing, hot-stuff' Her mirthful grin splayed itself across her face, leading to him flying off her waist and against the back of the sofa, letting Yuki sit up to adjust her top and rub a finger over the mask's eyes. Another note flying out from behind her. 'Using your analyzing to take advantage of my attacks was smart, using cover to cut line of sight too, not a bad start, you certainly packed a punch at only five percent'

"Really?" His glow immediately faded upon seeing her rub a red mark on her arm, he crawled forward, grabbing her forearm carefully. "Sorry, I didn't realize I had that much power." She took her arm back, smiling gently

She shrugged and they watched as a red glow resonated in her veins, the red swell slowly dissipating back to her normal, peachy complexion. Now closer together, Yuki handed him more notes. 'You've grown in only a week, more-so today than before, and we now have a week to perfect your new style, and I can fight you for real this time, sweet' She held up an 'OK' sign

Dusting themselves off, Yuki left the room for a moment to grab something, a skip in her step as she left. Izuku felt accomplished, it took over ten months but he finally had control over One For All, All Might trained him, gave him advice when he needed it most, and now Yuki pushed him to this new milestone. "That's right... I know where I'm going now. One For All, Full Cowling. The next step to making this Quirk my own."

Suddenly Yuki threw a towel in his face, flipping the mask around in her hands. 'Get a shower already, you stink' He hid his face at her kindness, always feeling awkward when she offered hospitality at her place, not that she didn't act the same toward him and his mom, but he understood the feeling of being a bother. Yet now, seeing her smile under her hair, it had the opposite effect on him, his chest swelled with confidence, and his wary nature turned to mush.

"Thank you, Yuki," He quickly left the room with her standing there, spinning the mask as her smile softened, her eyes closed for a second. His thanks was all she asked for, but...

"Why... why is it when you smile I feel so... anxious?" Flopping backward onto the sofa, her arm slowly covered her eyes, cheeks tinged red while tapping her other hand against the mask on her chest. "Izuku... why am I feeling this way when I'm with you?"

To Be Continued...

A bit of training before the Festival and surprise, Full Cowling early!
