Thank you to the new readers!

I shivered as mom pressed a cool cloth to my head. In the hall, I could hear my dad thanking Jordan for bringing me home, and asking what had caused the blackout. He mentioned that something had happened at the power plant and that Barrow had been caught. My phone rang on my bedside table. Making a move to reach for it, my mom stilled my hands and picked it up to look at the screen.

"It's Allison, do you want me to answer it?"

I smiled "Issac is most likely annoying her, go ahead,"

"Hi Honey, it's Angela," I could hear Allison on the other end sounding nervous stating that Isaac was with her and that they might be going out of touch for a while. She couldn't get a hold of anyone else to tell them. I would have laughed and assumed they were getting down and dirty, but I heard Issac groan in pain in the background. I shot straight up and grabbed the phone from my mom.

"Allison, where are you?" I growled.

There was a pause and then a quick "Got to go!" She had hung up on me.

Mom looked surprised at my outburst "What's wrong?"

I got up quickly "I think Isaacs hurt," I told her, swaying slightly. She reached out to steady me, nodding. I knew she wasn't going to stop me if it was about Isaac.

I drove to Allison's apartment since I didn't know where else she would be. As I knocked I heard movement, a squeak, and muffled talking. She opened the door tentatively. Forcing it all the way open, I advanced on her.

"So help me if you have hurt him again Allison," She paled and looked over her shoulder.

"I'm okay Ari!" Isaac called. He was slowly making his way over, pale and shivering.

My breath quickened "What the hell happened to you?" I demanded, rushing to him to help him sit down on the couch. He looked over pleadingly at Ally, who shook her head no. I glared "Let me rephrase that then. If you don't tell me what happened, I will knock your head in so hard your own dad won't recognize you,"

She looked shocked "It wasn't me! We promised my dad we would give him 24 hours before we told anyone what happened,"

I turned towards Isaac in question, he looked put out but nodded in agreement. When I asked if her dad had hurt him he said no. He looked pale so I felt his forehead "Iz your really cold, Ally he needs blankets, looks like we're all staying together until your 24 hours is up."

She got up to get them, Isaac looked at me with concern "You kinda look like how I feel, what happened to you?" I tensed.

"I signed off on the last of the trial tonight,"

He groaned and hit his forehead "I was supposed to be there when you got back,"

"It's cool I passed out before I made it home," he looked shocked. "Apparently I have PTSD, when the power went out all those lights started flashing and I had a panic attack," I explained.

"Yeah what happened anyway?"

"They caught Barrow at the power plant apparently, I don't really know anything else but that," Allison came in then and covered us all in blankets. We all just sat together in the dark, exhausted.

We didn't end up getting to school on time, so instead, we sat and watched movies. Ally was tense around me and Isaac kept trying to break the ice but gave up.

Getting water out of the fridge I saw Allison step up next to me "Are you ever going to trust me again," she asked sadly.

I sighed "I trust you Ally, but when I heard him hurt in the background and you tried to lie to me…. I'm more than a little angry," She looked apologetic "That's my brother Ally, you know what it's like not to have a family. But Iz…..he and I bonded in a way that I don't think could have been replicated unless I had an identical twin. If I had to choose between him and anyone, I would choose him. So don't hurt him again," Her eyes were watery but she shook her head in agreement.

Walking together into the living room, Isaac was teary-eyed also. I couldn't have stopped the bear hug he gave me if I tried.

Everything was much calmer after that, we sat and enjoyed the rest of the day together. We got a text from Danny saying there was going to be a blacklight party tonight….at a very familiar address.

Allison grinned at me "Should we get ready together?" I smiled and didn't let it fall until her back was turned towards me. The last time we had gone to a real party, Matt had been there. I wasn't going to let him ruin this for me.

We stepped in the door, floor-shaking, music so loud I don't know how we didn't hear it from the street.

"Derek can never know about this," Isaac said, looking way too happy at the thought.

I grinned "Serves him right for being gone so long," I smiled at them and walked into the crowd, letting them be alone. Rolling my head back I let myself just move, feeling the music and just letting myself go. I giggled when I saw Stiles getting dragged onto the dance floor and Isaac painting Ally. She was wearing a lot less than she had been at the last rave and looked more comfortable in her own skin.

Drew saw me through the crowd and made his way over to me. He smiled, teeth glowing in the black lights as he danced with me. At first, I was tense, but he kept his hands to himself and just hung out. I finally felt like everything was calm, I lost myself in it. When I opened my eyes Drew was gone, but I was okay with that, I didn't need anyone at this moment.

I kept moving until a warmth spread over me, opening my eyes again. I focused them on a tall dark figure in front of the DJ. Derek? I made my way towards him, only pausing when he flipped over a table and roared for everyone to get out. A shudder went through my body, telling me to listen to him and leave, but I stayed rooted to the spot. Then the shadows stepped forward. Like literally stepped, at least 5 figures materialized in the room.

As one they turned towards Aiden "Guys, they're all looking at me. Why are they all looking at me? Guys?" They moved towards him, I was frozen as Scott and Derek lept into action. All I could do was stare as Derek was thrown back after snapping the shadow's neck. Then Isaac stepped forward, claws flicking out. The shadow just stared in his direction, reaching into his chest and pulling a katana out of nowhere. I shakily stepped forward grabbing his hand and pulling him back, terrified. Aiden looked so scared but I just kept moving us backward. They stepped in sync, two of them grabbing Aidens arms and holding him there.

I felt lightheaded thinking I was about to watch him get split open by the shadows katana, instead, it gripped the back of his head and stared into his eyes intently. So focused on the stare-off, I only noticed either steam or smoke coming from under the shadow's hand that was on Aiden's head. When he let go so did the others, just letting his body drop to the ground. As one they turned to Scott, heads tilting to look at him creepily. Scott transformed in front of Kira, snarling and ready to fight to protect her. She looked scared but didn't shy away from him. I had to shut my eyes as the sun poured through the window, the shadows dissipated right in front of us. We all stared at each other shakily as Scott asked what they were.

Issac looked over at Allison "Your dad's 24 hours are up,"
