Chapter 12: Meeting the Bug Specialists Part 1
After finding their way out of the Bugger Forest, they eventually arrive at the Resout Town, a place where they can see a lot of tree houses hanging on the trees.
"Wow, this place looks just like Fortree City." Max says. "Look at those Tree Houses, they do look like them."
"Indeed. This is the Resout Town. Located between two forests, it has a great nature." Ash replies.
Just then, they hear a photo shoot as they turn around, they see Viola there and they go greet her. "Viola? What are you doing here?" Serena asks.
"Hello to you again, as you can see, ever since this region appears, every Gym Leader and Elite 4, as well as the Champions are here to check it out." Viola says. Aurora smiles and says, "Indeed, I did invite all of them to come here, but you should be accompanied by Burgh the Castelia Gym Leader, Aaron, the Sinnoh Elite 4 and Bugsy, the Azalea Town Specialist, right? Where are they?"
"Did I hear someone mentioning my name?" Burgh approaches the group and they are surprised to see him here. "I was just trying to find some inspiration until I meet you here. It is nice to see you safe and sound, Ash."
"Thanks, Burgh." Ash says. "I think we might be able to find the other two when we move forward."
"Yeah." Lillie says, "By the way, we know a famous dessert shop which only opens to this place, do you want to check it out?"
The girls are giving starry eyes and Dawn says, "Desserts? That sounds great."
"Indeed, we should go check it out after all." Cilan adds.
Once the group head inside the dessert house, which much to their surprise is pretty big and it is on land instead of on trees, they see Insey, who is wearing a maid costume, is at the counter making cakes while a lot of people are enjoying their desserts.
"Beeone, can you help me with the Sweet Scent?" Insey asks the Pokemon, as it nods, the Sweet Scent from the Pokemon is adding flavor to the batter that she is stirring.
"Thank you, Beeone." Insey says.
Ash approaches the maid, and he says, "If you may, can we have some sundades? Insey?"
Insey looks up and sees that the person is no other than her brother Ash. She quickly stops what she is doing as she rushes out of the counter to greet them. "Brother, you are here. Mother and Lillie as well!"
She gives each a hug and the others are confused, it is then they notice the girl's hair, which looks the same as Ash except that she has a long hair.
"Ash, who is she?" Bonnie asks. "Why did she look so much like you instead that she is a girl?"
"Oh, I think I get a little carried away after the family reunion, everyone, this is my sister, Insey, she also owns and works at this cafe." He turns to Insey and says, "And they are my friends, Insey."
"It is nice to meet you." Insey says while giving a bow, the others are surprised at how polite she is.
Professor Oak says, "Now that you mentioned the name, I think I remember you now, aren't you the one who was chased away from Pallet Town since they accused you to bring the horde of Bug Pokemon into the town?"
Insey frowns a little at the memory and then she says, "I really don't want to remember that incident, but I don't really care how the townspeople think since I still have my family by my side."
"That sure is a nice thing to hear about." Viola says.
"And is that Pokemon a Combee? But I thought that Combee is made by three bodies, why is there only one?" Bonnie says as she scans the Pokemon.
Beeone. The Tiny Bee Pokemon. Bug and Flying Type. Beeone flies around to find his partners so they can become one.
"So this Pokemon is a Beeone?" Gladion asks. "And it is a prevolution of Combee I assume?"
"Yes, this guy can evolve by having three of them together." Insey says. "Why don't you guys have a seat while me and my brother prepare desserts for you?"
Aurora says, "If you need some help, you know that I can help you as well."
"That's great, mother." Ash says, "But we want to do this on our own, please."
"If you say so." Aurora sighs as they all go take a seat.
As they are waiting for the desserts prepared by Ash and Insey, Max feels itchy as he is scratching his head.
"Max, are you okay?" Bonnie asks with concern as Max is feeling uncomfortable.
"I don't know why, my head is kind of itchy." Max says. "But I can't seem to find the source of it..."
Lillie thinks for a while and then she says, "Max, can you give me a Pokeball?"
Max nods as he gives her, then she uses it to rub against Max's hair.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Max says. "The Pokeball is not a scratcher..."
"Max, calm down and don't move." Lillie says says sternly, causing him to flinch. Just then the Pokeball opens and a red thing goes inside. After three shakes it is a success.
"Okay." Lillie says as she hands the Pokeball to Max. And everyone hasn't recovered from the shock. Burgh asks, "Well that sure is a surprise, but what is that Pokemon?"
"The most dangerous Pokemon in the forest, and it is worse than Ariados. It is a Sucmos." Lillie replies as she shows the data of the three new entries.
Darbite, the Caterpillar Pokemon. Bug and Dark Type. It can hide itself inside the fur using minimize to suck energy from the Pokemon.
Suckoon, the Cacoon Pokemon. Bug and Dark Type. Evolved from Darbite at LV7. It can attach itself on Pokemon's body to suck the energy.
Sucmos, the Mosquito Pokemon. Bug and Dark Type. Evolved from Suckoon at LV10. Suckmos sucks Pokemon's energy as food, it won't stop until it is full.
"But I am not a Pokemon, why does it bite me?" Max says.
Aurora says, "Eve is actually the one that deals with the entries of the Pokedex, and since she is a Dark Type user, she might like this Pokemon so much that she didn't want to change it..."
"Indeed." Lillie takes out a spray and says, "Use this spray on your hair. This is made from Piximoth's Scales."
"Piximoth?" Serena asks as she scans the Pokedex, three more entries appear as they read through it.
Pixipillar, the Caterpillar Pokemon. Bug and Fairy Type. It can hide itself inside the fur using minimize and recover the wounds made by Darbite.
Pixica, the Cacoon Pokemon. Bug and Fairy Type. Evolved from Pixipillar at LV7. It can attach to the wounds on Pokemon's body to heal them.
Piximoth, the Moth Pokemon. Bug and Fairy Type. Evolved from Pixica at LV10. Piximoth gives Pokemon healing energy, it won't stop until the Pokemon is fully healed.
After Max sprays it, he feels relieved and says, "Ah, much better."
"Piximoth and Sucmos are natural enemies after all, so they will have counter with each other." Aurora says.
After Ash and Insey comes back, they are holding a big plate with sundaes, Insey says, "Here you go, we made you sundaes made of Vespiqueen's honey and Moomoo Milk."
Everyone looks like their salvias are leaking from their mouth, then they all try it out as they have a bite.
"Wow, it is so delicious." Dawn says after feeling the sweetness from the sundae itself.
"Indeed. It not only shows the sweetness of the honey and also the quality of the Moomoo Milk. Great indeed." Cilan says.
"I am glad you like it." Ash says. "By the way, Max. I heard that you captured a Sucmos, congratulations."
"Thanks, although I had some help from your wife." Max says.
Burgh asks, "So Ash, can you tell us what are you doing here in this region?"
"Sure, as you can see, after creating this region, we made the RPA Company, which has replaced PLA for the League business during these days. Life is quite busy for us, but we really enjoy it." Ash says.
As the others agree, Serena turns her head to Insey, she asks, "So Insey, what did you do to get chased away from Pallet Town?"
Insey says, "Well, when I was alone, I like to wander around the outside of the town. It is then I meet a Scyther. It is hungry, so I fed him some treats my mom made for us. Then as the Scyther is satisfied, it starts to follow me."
Dawn says, "That doesn't sound bad at all..."
Professor Oak says, "Indeed. But when a boy sees it, he tries to capture this Scyther. Insey doesn't want to let him take away her friend, so she tries to protect it. So in order to get the Pokemon that he desires, he starts to attack Insey instead, trying to force her to give up so that he can take the Scyther."
"That is horrible...who could have done that..." Viola asks in surprise.
"Don't worry, I actually met the same boy in our journey and he was arrested after trying to abandon another Pokemon." Ash says, "Back into the story, Scyther can't bear seeing that she is beaten, so he uses Sweet Scent to gather an army of Bug Pokemon to protect her, but things get worse as the Bug Pokemon misunderstood their reason to come here as they start to attack the townspeople. Since then, Insey is banned to get near Pallet Town."
Aurora says, "We tried to protest against the mayor of the town, but he doesn't listen to us as he still does his work, and sadly, over half of the townspeople also agree, the only ones that aren't are actually us Ketchums and Professor Oak's family..."
Cilan says, "I am sorry to hear that..."
Insey says, "It is fine. And that Scyther and most of the Bug types become my Pokemon thanks to the help of Professor Oak. It is now a Scizor." Insey says as she shows the Pokeball. "Speaking of which, how about that evil mayor?"
Ash says, "I don't know, but after my journey in the Hoenn Region, he is already gone."
Aurora says, "He is being dethroned due to the fact that he has a bad reputation in the community after the years, after Insey is banned, I asked my other children to go with her, as only Ash and I stay at Pallet Town. And due to the fact that banning Insey is a success, he starts to give into his greed and add more policies such as additional taxing for some public utilities, but in truth they all go into the mayor's pocket."
This causes gasp from everyone in present, and Professor Oak says, "In the end, we decide to have a strike and eventually we take down the mayor, who is also arrested with the help of the Viridian Police."
"Good, he deserves to rot in jail." Insey says. "That is what matters." The others agree with her opinion as they continue with their deserts.
Here is a new chapter, and this is going to be a two part chapter since I want to tell more about the background of Insey back in the time when she was banned in the Pallet Town. I hope you like it.
