A Curse of Ancients
C12: Hogwarts Beckons
Standard Disclaimer: I don't own any of the recognizable characters.
The last month of the holiday flew by and was filled with numerous visits to Hermione's Mansion and the Castle, mostly because everyone wanted to see what Hermione had inherited.
Hermione had petitioned, and won Morgana's wand back from the Ministry after showing them the evidence that it was created by Morgana and that it would answer solely to her. She did not have permission to use it at school though, but that didn't really matter to her. She merely wanted to have her ancestor's wand back in her possession, although that would have to wait because of the fact that the Unspeakables wanted to make sure that Dumbledore hadn't altered the wand in any way.
Hermione, Luna, Fabian and Draco were currently back on the Hogwarts Express to start their sixth year, all of them knowing it was going to be a lot easier now that Dumbledore wasn't there to spy on them. "I still can't believe that a hearing for your heritage turned out to be Dumbledore's last action as a member of the Magical community. The Dark Lord was very pleased with that. The Order is practically crippled now." Draco said with a smile.
Hermione smiled at him. "That was the easier part of the holiday. I had more issue with coming to grips with my heritage than I had with debunking everything Dumbledore was spewing. We had all the evidence we needed and the Ministry ordered a Verita examination, where all of his lies came to light."
Draco smiled at that. "I'm not surprised, not even he can withstand the stuff the Ministry provides."
"The Ministry actually formally apologized to me for having me show up for that farce, and promised me his wand, which was Morgana's wand to begin with. But they kept it at the Ministry for now, since they wanted to make sure Dumbledore hasn't tampered with it, so I would say this has been a win-win for everyone." Hermione said with a smile.
Draco nodded at that. "That might be an issue, He believes it to be the Elder wand, and he is set to get it, even with Dumbledore gone. His plans haven't changed much in that aspect."
"What are his plans, Draco. Have you heard anything?" Fabian asked with a soft smile.
Draco nodded at him. "I've heard everything. He has instructed me to find a way to let his Death Eaters infiltrate Hogwarts and take over from there, but ever since the hearing some of the old families are starting to doubt his ability to pull it off. You and Hermione have a lot more supporters than you think. The way things are now he can't win this war in his current state and he will probably throw everything on a final assault, so for once we will actually need Potter and the band of Tainted Gold to do their idiotic thing and find and destroy whatever is keeping Him alive."
Hermione laughed lightly at that. "The band of Tainted Gold, I like that, but I am sure they will go on a wild goose chase across the country, because I am sure that old coot told them to do so before he was stripped of his magic, and they are certainly dumb enough to do it without anyone to temper them. We'll rely on brains over idiocy. We have the location of two of those items and we will be destroying them over the course of the year."
Draco smiled at that. "If you need help with anything, just let me know. I can be quiet useful you know."
"I know Draco, and we'll let you know if we need anything. Right now what we need most is information, so we would appreciate it if you could keep us in the loop on anything you hear, and of course try to recruit some more people to our cause." Fabian said with a smile.
"What is your cause? because you two have been surprisingly vague about that." He asked softly.
Hermione smiled at him. "We want to eliminate the blood bias and instead want someone's worth to be measured by their magic. Some Muggleborns are stronger than Pureblooded witches and wizards purely because their magic isn't diluted through centuries of inbreeding."
Draco nodded at that. "That's a very noble goal that you might be able to pull off in the wake of all of this. It will mean that there needs to be a complete overhaul of the Ministry."
"Hence we will need the support of as many families as we can, and since everyone of our family will be here at Hogwarts with us, we will need you and your father to grease some palms until New Years. We will make a formal offer at the ball." Hermione said with a smile.
"Wait? Everyone will be at Hogwarts this year? How will you even manage that?" Draco asked a bit confused.
Fabian smiled at him. "I discovered a room last Easter that apparently belongs to the Black family, and we have been given permission by the Headmistress to use it because of the Curse. It will make things easier for everyone.
Draco nodded and smiled at that. "Ah yes the Curse, I should have known it would have something to do with that, but you know our deal Fabe. I do not want details under any circumstance."
"I know Draco, and I won't give them to you, just know that your mother asked me to try and keep an eye on you, even though I know it won't be necessary. Just try and be a bit covert in your actions." Fabian said with a smile.
Draco only nodded at him. "I will, mother just worries about me because I am so close to the danger right now. You can assure her that I have no intention of putting myself in harms way this year."
Fabian smiled at him. "I do wonder about something, Draco. You are a few months older than Fabian, so why weren't you the one to be the carrier of the Curse?" Hermione asked softly.
"Because unlike Fabian, I am only half Black. My mother and her sisters made sure that the next carrier of the Curse would be someone they could all love completely, and while I know my family loves me, I could never go that far." He said with a soft smile.
Hermione smiled at that. "I understand, it's been a lot to take in for me as well, especially if you account for everything else that has happened this summer."
Draco smiled at her. "I can imagine. Not only learning that you are descendant from one of the most famous witches to ever live, but also learning that you are basically required to sleep with your future mother-in-law and the entire female Black family is enough to make anyone else run for the hills."
Hermione only smiled and cuddled into Fabian. "You sound surprised Draco, we all know Hermione loves her challenges, and this is just another prime example of her grabbing the Threstral by the horns." Luna said with a dreamy smile.
Draco nodded and smiled at the eccentric blonde. "How about you Luna, how was the rest of your summer?"
"The best ever of course. I am finally officially a Black. I could have gone without losing Daddy, but in the end it would've happened at some point anyway." Luna said with a dreamy smile.
Draco smiled at her. "I don't know if it'll help, but the men that carried out that raid did so under their own volition, He punished them severely and has killed the man responsible for killing your father."
Luna smiled at him. "It helps a little bit, but like I said, it was an inevitability that I would leave that house at some point during the summer. We had been fighting a lot because of my relationship with Fabian, so in the end this is for the best."
Draco smiled at her as their cabin door was flung open to reveal a red faced Ginny. "Do you mind if I sit here? I can't be held responsible for my actions if I have to share a cabin with my brother and Harry for even a minute longer."
Luna smiled brightly at her as Fabian nodded. "Of course Gin. You are always welcome to sit with us." Hermione said with a soft smile.
Ginny smiled and took a seat next to Luna. "I'll leave you guys for a bit, I have to go and do my rounds anyway." Draco said with a kind smile as he left them alone.
"So, what happened Gin?" Hermione asked softly.
Ginny sighed softly and relaxed against the bench. "Harry and Ron are being insufferable as usual, and Lavender is only adding fuel to those flames. They're convinced that you will be like Morgana and cause the destruction of everything that Dumbledore has worked for."
Hermione smiled at her. "Well, they're not wrong, but everything we have been led to believe about Dumbledore turned out to be a lie. The 'Greater Good' as he liked to call it is just a veiled way of saying he wants to control everything and everyone. We are working to eliminate the blood bias and replace the old traditions with new ones that will be beneficial to everyone. Let them believe what they want. We know who we are and what we are fighting for."
Ginny smiled at that. "You will always have my support, 'Mione, as well as that of Fred and George. We know who you really are and what you are about."
Hermione smiled and gave the redhead a hug. "Thank you Gin, just know that the opposite is true too. If you ever need help against your brother and Potter, just let us know, and of course you're always welcome in our room if you ever need a place to escape."
"Wait, you've been given your own room? How did that happen?" Ginny asked softly.
Fabian smiled at her. "Unfortunately I can't tell you too much about it, but we've been granted a room that belongs to my family because there are circumstances that require it. McGonagall agreed to it and perhaps some day I can tell you more about it."
Ginny nodded at that. "I understand, I know how guarded your family is with its history, but thank you for offering me a place to escape to if I need it, which I expect will happen plenty of times this year."
Hermione smiled at her best female friend. "You're always welcome to come and visit us, and if it is needed for your safety we'll petition McGonagall for you to move there as well, but we will need to have a talk about some thing before that can happen."
Ginny nodded and decided not to ask anything else, knowing they couldn't tell her now. For now she was more than content to spend some time with her best friend and her crush.
…
When they had all taken a seat in the Great Hall, there were murmurs at the Gryffindor table, something that infuriated Fabian, and that did not go unnoticed by Draco and Pansy. "Relax Fabe, Hermione can handle those idiots with her arms tied behind her back, and I am sure she will put them in their place if they dare to open their mouths." Draco said softly.
"Yeah, your girlfriend is very fierce in protecting her ideals from idiots, Fabe. It'll be fine." Pansy said in support.
Fabian quirked an eyebrow at that. "Since when are you such a supporter of Hermione? Even on the last day of school last year you tried to burn her down."
"I want to make amends okay. I didn't know the truth and the way she handled Dumbledore made me see that I was wrong." Pansy said with a slight blush.
He smiled at that. "I think she will be happy to hear that, she might be in need of more female friends soon, so if you are serious about this, I will not stand in the way of that."
Pansy nodded and smiled at him. "Thank you. All I ask is a chance to make things right."
He only nodded as dinner appeared. "You know, I've actually missed this over the summer. Dinners with my Dad and aunt were so boring." Draco said as he scooped up a generous helping of mashed potatoes.
Fabian smiled at that. "That's because your father and aunt are still trying to keep you out of everything as much as they can, which I understand completely. Dumbledore might have thrust us into a war he started twenty years ago, but if we are to finish it, we will do so on our terms, not those of the Dark Lord or a lying old coot."
Both Draco and Pansy nodded at that. "You know you and Hermione have my support Fabian."
"Mine too, my parents already support you and Hermione after her dressing down of Dumbledore during the trial, and my family has always supported yours and will continue to do so." Pansy said with a smile.
Fabian only nodded as they all quietly ate dinner, making it a point to wait for his girlfriend and his sister near the entrance of the Great Hall when he was done and had said his good night's to his half brother and Pansy.
After a few minutes Luna and Hermione walked out of the Great Hall, his girlfriend with a glare that could create statues. "Potter and the Weasel at it again, love?" He asked softly.
Hermione only nodded as she linked their arms and made her way to their new room, with Luna following close behind them. "They seem to be in the minority though, most of Gryffindor either doesn't care or has her back. I think Neville feels a bit conflicted at the moment, but when he sees that our Hermione is the same as she has always been, I am sure he'll have her back too." Luna said with her ever present dreamy smile.
"I hope so, but I can't promise to keep my cool much longer with Potter, Weasley and that fucking bimbo Lavender. I heard Weasley talk about wanting to end me before I become too powerful, even though I have proven that I have more magic and skill in my little finger than he has in his entire body." Hermione said with a slight growl.
Luna smiled at her. "It'll be okay Hermione, the family will always stand beside you, and since McGonagall knows Mom, Narcissa and Andromeda are here, you can be sure even if he manages to try something, that there will be dire consequences for him."
Hermione smiled and pulled the blonde into her side, linking their arms too. "How is it that you can always see the positive in something?"
Luna giggled at that. "Because I know what it is to be ridiculed and looked at as an outcast. I focus on the positive things in life, like my family, and my future sister in law." She said with a soft smile.
Hermione blushed a little at that. "You certainly got your sweet tongue from your brother."
Luna smiled at her. "Since you've called that tongue divine on several occasions, I would say that is a compliment."
"The opposite is true too, Luna. Not too long ago you begged me to devour you." Hermione said with a smile.
Now Luna blushed a little. "That wasn't all me though. A lot of that came from the Curse, mother has been teaching me to be a proper lady, and ladies do not beg."
Hermione only smiled at the blonde. "Even Narcissa begs me to ravage her sometimes, Luna, there is no rule on being a lady in the bedroom, it is often preferred if you're not a lady in the bedroom. There is a muggle saying that might actually be appropriate for this. A lady in the streets and a minx between the sheets."
Luna smiled at that as they arrived at the double doors that would grant them entry to their room.
"I should've known, your family doesn't do anything little." Hermione said as she saw the room.
He smiled and kissed her softly. "You knew that when we got together, 'Mione. There is a certain flair one needs to be a part of and Ancient and Most Noble House."
Hermione smiled as Gaia came flying up to them, giving a happy chirp as she landed on the brunette's shoulder. "Hello my sweet. Did you all have a nice trip? Do you like your garden?"
Gaia nodded and nuzzled her nose against Hermione's neck, and only now Hermione noticed the five women in the room, sitting on the various couches. "Sorry for ignoring you all, my daughter needed some Mommy love, and honestly Mommy needs it too."
Bellatrix smiled and patted the seat next to her. "It's okay my sweet. We can't imagine the prejudice you must now face from those that you once trusted."
Hermione smiled and leaned into the raven haired witch, while Fabian and Luna had taken a seat in the remaining love seat. "I'll be okay. It has just pushed my beliefs that I am ready to close that chapter of my life and am now fully ready to embrace my future." She said as she absently stroked Gaia's back.
Bellatrix smiled at the young witch. "While I hoped to have spared you this, I am glad you are able to stay strong through this. Just remember that you are far from alone."
Hermione only smiled at her. "I know, and I am ever so grateful that my life has taken the turn it has taken. I don't think I would've ever found out the truth if it hadn't been for your family.
"I think you mean our family, you are a part of this family Hermione, don't ever think otherwise." Narcissa said with a soft smile.
"Yes, I did mean that, and you don't know how happy I am to be a part of this family, even if it's not official yet." Hermione said softly.
Narcissa smiled at that. "Not in writing, but in any way that matters it is. You and Fabian are Bonded through Prophecy, and it doesn't get more official than that."
Hermione nodded at them as she cracked a yawn. "Why don't you three get some rest. We'll talk more tomorrow after classes end. I can see you are very tired. Luna, I think your room is right next to mine, I think you will recognize it." Bellatrix said with a soft smile.
Luna smiled and gave her mothers a hug and kiss before making her way to her room, while Fabian and Hermione had already found theirs.
…
The following morning Fabian and Hermione woke up cuddled into each other, while Gaia was stretched out in front of Hermione. "Good morning love." He said as he kissed her neck softly.
She smiled and squeezed his hand softly as Gaia gave them a tired little chirp. "Good morning love, and good morning to you my little sweetling." She said lovingly as she scratched Gaia behind her ear.
Gaia flicked her ear and covered her snout with her wing. "Your daughter is being difficult again." Hermione said with a soft smile.
He smiled and gave her breast a healthy squeeze. "Before dawn she is your daughter."
Hermione gave a soft moan as she turned around. "You did not just quote The Lion King at me. How do you even know about that?"
"Luna of course, she is a big fan of all things Disney. Her mother introduced her to it, and of course I was forced to watch most of the movies with her, not that I minded of course." He said with a soft smile.
She smiled at that. "I can just see it now, you two cuddled up together under a blanket while watching The Lion King."
"That would be an accurate description, during summers we would usually do that naked, usually when Xeno wasn't there and Mom and Pandora could have their 'special time' as Pandora would like to call it." He said with a soft smile.
Hermione smiled at him as she gave him a soft kiss before climbing over him to get out of bed. "If only I had known you then, I think the three of us would be as close as Luna and you are now."
He smiled and gave her butt a soft squeeze before rolling out of bed himself. "Closer still my love. I think the three of us wouldn't have needed words to communicate. One look would say it all."
She smiled and kissed him before she made her way to their en-suite bathroom. "I'm going to take a quick shower before breakfast, I'll see you soon lover."
"And you're sure you don't want me to join you, love?"
Hermione shook her head. "We both know what that would lead to Fabian, and unfortunately we don't have time for that right now, but tonight, I am all yours."
He smiled and kissed her softly. "You're right, I'll see you in the living room." He said before getting dressed.
Hermione nodded and blew him a kiss as she stepped under the spray, humming softly to herself as Fabian got dressed and gave Gaia a few scratches behind her ear. "I know you don't like the mornings, my sweet, but we'll be back before you know it."
Gaia gave another tired chirp as she pushed her head against his hand before slowly climbing up to his shoulder. "I know my sweet, but you can't come with us. That might be a tad difficult to explain."
The green dragon nodded at him as she wrapped her tail around his arm for balance as they made their way into the living room.
To his surprise only Bellatrix was awake, although to call her awake would be a bit of an overstatement, since she was barely dressed, wearing only a thong, and her hair looked like she had spent the night sleeping in a hurricane. "Good morning Mom. You slept rather fitfully I see." He said with a soft smile.
Bellatrix smiled at him. "My state of dress and hairstyle are mostly Andi's fault. Your mother nearly demanded that we spent the night together so we could recreate our first night at Hogwarts, but this time with a lot more sex involved, and apparently she was inspired, because I couldn't wake her up even if I wanted to, but I thought it would be proper to have at least one of us be here to see you all off."
He smiled at her. "If this is the way you three will see us off, I think I see a lot of late mornings in our future."
"Trust me that this will not be a common occurrence Fabian. I merely didn't feel like dressing yet." Bellatrix said as she flopped onto the couch.
He smiled and took a seat next to her, tweaking one of her pierced nipples. "I can honestly say that I don't mind that fact. I love the way your breasts sway when they are unbound by a corset."
Bellatrix smiled and pulled him into her side as Luna joined them. "My babies, always so eager to join their Mummy."
They both smiled at her. "Of course we are, we have the most beautiful mothers in the world after all." Luna said with a dreamy smile.
Bellatrix blushed at that as they both let their hands roam across her body. "We don't have time for this my sweets. You have half an hour until breakfast starts and we all know that this will take a lot longer."
They smiled at her, looking remarkably like twins now. "There is nothing wrong with teasing, is there Mom? A little bit of teasing to get the motor running?"
"You two are incorrigible, sometimes I think we should put you both in chastity belts. We don't have time for this now, and it is very inconsiderate towards your mother." Hermione said as she walked in, one eyebrow quirked.
Both Luna and Fabian looked appropriately contrite. "Sorry Mom." They said at the same time.
Bellatrix smiled and pressed a kiss to their cheeks. "It's okay, my sweets, we can have some fun tonight after dinner, when we can take our time with each other."
Fabian and Luna smiled at her and gave her a kiss, while Gaia effortlessly laid down in Bella's lap before falling asleep again. "It seems someone has other ideas about you getting dressed today."
"I'll get dressed at some point, and then we'll get started on getting the garden suitable for her. I'll take care of her." Bellatrix said with a soft smile at Gaia.
The three smiled and gave the half naked raven haired witch a kiss before taking their leave.
When they took a seat at the Slytherin table, Hermione was surprised to see mostly friendly smiles directed to her. "This is certainly a new development. What's going on Draco?"
The blonde smiled at her. "Most people are waiting to apologize for how they treated you, but are unsure of where to start. I suggest letting them come to you instead of going to them. The trustworthy ones will be first to come to you, but having said that, there is someone I suggest seeking out. She will be able to help you navigate the treacherous pureblood society."
"Fabian told me about Pansy's offer, and I am reasonably okay with it, but I hope she knows that I don't trust her just yet." Hermione said softly.
"I understand Hermione, I can't blame you to be honest. All I ask for is a chance to prove that I am worthy of your trust." Pansy said kindly.
Hermione nodded at that. "And I will give you that chance Pansy, but understand that you will at least need to treat Ginny with the same level of respect and you need to apologize to her as well. See it as a first step in earning my trust, because unlike most of the rest of her family. She supports me still."
Pansy smiled and nodded. "Of course Ms. Le Fay, if that is what you wish."
Hermione only smiled at her as McGonagall came to deliver her schedule. "I understand you would rather not sit with the rest of your Housemates given everything, Ms. Le Fay, but I am afraid during meal times you will have to. I will let it go this once, but don't make a habit of this, and if anyone lashes out against you, I want you to come to me. I know you would want to solve that yourself, but please come to me if something happens."
Hermione nodded at the Headmistress. "I will Headmistress. I can't promise I won't defend myself or my friends if they are stupid enough to attack me or my friends. I will not retaliate, but I will defend myself." She said with clear determination.
Minerva nodded at her. "That is all I can ask for Ms. Le Fay." She said before making her way back to the Gryffindor table.
"Do you think Potter will be that stupid?" Pansy asked softly.
"When together with Ronald, yes he will. For all his supposed power and ego, Potter is a follower, just as Weasley is, but he tries to play the alpha male, and add that bimbo into the mix, I can almost guarantee something before Halloween. They'll fail of course, but they will try." Hermione said matter-of-factually.
"We'll be beside you all the way 'Mione. You'll have plenty of support within Slytherin." Pansy said with a smile.
Hermione nodded as Snape came to deliver the schedules for the Slytherins. "Well one thing is for sure, McGonagall has at least matched our schedules." Fabian said as he checked that of Hermione.
"I asked her to try love, I will feel a lot better if you are beside me should Weasley try something during class, and I can't rule out the chance of him trying to convince me that I have made a mistake by accepting my birthright." She said with a soft smile.
Fabian smiled at her. "Thankfully most people know better and only need to look at Dumbledore to see how wrong they are and what will happen to those that oppose you."
Hermione smiled and gave his hand a loving squeeze. "And if they do, they'll learn what it means to cross us soon enough."
Fabian nodded and gave her hand three squeezes as they finished up their breakfast and made their way to their first class of this new year, which happened to be Defense Against the Dark Arts.
…
By the time they all got back to their room after dinner, Hermione was ready to explode. All day long she had heard the whispers coming from most of the Gryffindors and it was only because of her continued proximity to Fabian that had kept her temper from boiling over.
The moment they were inside however she made her way to the garden, and Fabian knew it would be better to let her be for now, since he hadn't seen Gaia and Hermione could use a bit of time with their familiar to get her emotions back under control.
"Is she okay sweetie?" Narcissa asked with a concerned look on her face.
Fabian smiled and nodded at the blonde. "She will be. Gryffindor was not kind to her today and her temper has been close to boiling over since lunch. It's best to let her calm down on her own a bit, and Gaia will be exactly what she needs to calm down."
Narcissa smiled and kissed his cheek. "I'm glad you still remember your survival instincts, sweetie. It is a first step on the road to a healthy marriage."
"I knew of Hermione's temper long before I started dating her. She can be very scary when she's angry, she's much like Mom in that regard." He said with a soft smile.
Narcissa smiled at that. "Yes, Bella's tantrums were legendary, and still are to this day. I am very glad that you didn't inherit that part from her, but are more like me and Andi in that aspect."
He smiled at that. "There is one thing I inherited from Mom that you all seem to enjoy. I definitely inherited her libido."
Narcissa nodded and smiled at that. "You got all three of our libidos, sweetie. All three of us contributed to that legend after all. Who do you think gave you your kinky urges?"
"I know that is something I got from you mother, as well as some of my more desirable qualities. You taught me to be a gentleman after all." He said as they took a seat.
Narcissa smiled as she slung a leg over his before giving him a kiss. "I've taught you when to be a gentleman, which is far more important than being a gentleman all the time, and now is not the time to be a gentleman."
He grinned and opened up the top of her dress so he could tease her nipples erect. "Is that so mother?"
She moaned softly and squeezed his erection through his pants. "I know you promised Bella something special tonight, but she asked me to get you ready for that."
Fabian smiled and kissed her as she bunched up the lower part of her dress and straddled him. "It seems that I also inherited my naughty streak from you, mother."
"That is all Andi my sweet. I am merely honoring my sister's request. She wants you ready to go the moment you enter the bedroom." She said with a wink.
"If she's still in her attire from this morning, I don't think that will be an issue." He said with a smile.
Narcissa smiled at that. "Do you really think I would allow your mother to be barely dressed for most of the day? The orgy that would ensue would leave everyone to get punished by you and Hermione for doing that without you present."
He smirked at that as he saw Hermione stalk up to the blonde from behind. "Is that something that needs to happen mother? Do you all need to be punished because you've been having fun without us?"
Narcissa swallowed heavily and shook her head. "No, you don't have to punish us…" She trailed off in a moan as Hermione started fingering her. "Ms. Le Fay, this is highly inappropriate."
Hermione smiled and softly bit the blonde's earlobe. "Then why are you soaking through your panties Cissa?"
Narcissa moaned softly as she accepted a kiss from her future daughter-in-law. "Because the three of us have been teasing each other for most of the day and I have a night with Luna to look forward to. I've not had the pleasure to share a night with our youngest yet."
"And am I right in guessing that Bellatrix is already waiting for us in our bedroom?" Hermione asked with a husky voice.
Narcissa nodded at them. "She is, and she asked me to get you two ready for her."
Hermione and Fabian smiled at that. "Then we'll go and see if Mom is ready for us. Have fun with Luna, mother." He said with a soft smile and a healthy spank to her ass.
Narcissa smiled and accepted a last kiss from them before walking as poised a possible to Luna's room.
"Are you okay love?" He asked softly.
Hermione nodded at him. "Yes love, Gaia and her playful attitude melted my frustrations away."
"I think my Mom's posterior will be glad for that Princess." He said teasingly.
She smiled at him as she pushed open the bedroom door, both of them grinning as they saw Bellatrix posed on their bed with not a stitch of clothing on her body.
