Grizzlyheart's POV
I stood still, wondering what Crowsky had found at the Moon-Oak, when I heard a sharp scream. I bolted past the group, stopping next to Crowsky as I stared down at the corpse only mouse-lengths away from my paws. Looking up, feeling Crowsky move behind me and wrapping his paws around me, I was face-to-face with Weak-Eye. Her chest was heaving, her bloody teeth bared at me as she stepped over her sister's body, her wide eye never looking away from me.
"Minty, why?" I heard Crowsky sob.
"Because I did not lose this fucking eye just so she can steal him from me!" Weak-Eye unsheathed her claws, and I pushed Crowsky back. "Grizzly, if you want your friend to leave here in one piece, I suggest you fulfill your vow~"
"You heard her," I glanced over at Crowsky's wide yellow eyes. "This won't take long, let the others know."
Hoping that he'd understand just what I was asking of him, I watched Crowsky make his way back to the group. Closing my eyes, I rolled over and exposed myself to her. I could hear her snickers and purrs sending a cold sensation throughout my body. I heard pawsteps, followed by hot breath coming down my face. Daring to crack my eyes open, I saw Weak-Eye begin to lower herself as she grinned at me.
"StarClan, if I knew how big you really were, I would've threatened your friend's life a long time ago~" Weak-Eye purred. "Why are you soft though? This should be the most exciting moment of your life."
"He's your brother," I growled.
"He doesn't matter, he's not you," Weak-Eye's body was only inches away from violating me, so I closed my eyes. Sure, it would take some time to get used to what could happen, and I would hurt at the thought of Weak-Eye ripping my first time away from me. I wasn't sure if thinking about the sweet tom that just left would make this experience better or worse, but then I heard a series of screams and hisses, and I noticed that I wasn't feeling any breathing down my neck anymore. My eyes opened, and I saw Lazuli and Spike holding Weak-Eye down.
"FUCK YOU, I WILL HUNT YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS DOWN!" Weak-Eye screamed loud enough to wake StarClan, and certainly loud enough to send flocks of birds flying from the trees in PhoenixClan. She continued screaming and kicking in their grip, and I followed the rest of the group as we ran towards the mountains.
As Grizzlyheart, Auroradawn, Crowsky, and the others took off, Lazuli's blue eyes landed on Weak-Eye as the white cat started spitting and snapping her jaws like she was possessed. The blue-grey cat glanced at Spike, nodded, and grinned down at the wild creature.
"Y'know, we don't exactly follow the warrior code anymore," Lazuli snickered, causing Weak-Eye to stop her struggling and freeze up.
"Please let me go," Weak-Eye whimpered. "I won't go after them, they'll never hear from me again. Swear on my father's life."
"I really doubt that means anything at this point," Spike huffed, glancing at the corpse nearby.
"Especially since you'll change your mind after what I tell you," Lazuli leaned in and whispered in Weak-Eye's ear, holding her claws against the cat's throat. "Crowsky is not Grizzlyheart's friend anymore, he's his mate~"
Smokycloud felt like she had sat there with her back turned to her leader and deputy for what felt like countless moons, ignoring Crowsky's scream in the distance. Her Clanmates didn't react either, until a second and higher-pitched scream echoed through DragonClan camp before the sound was cut off.
"Who was that?" Ursula whimpered.
"Darkheart, send a big patrol in the direction of the Moon-Oak," Goldenstar ordered, to which her mate nodded and began picking out different warriors in their dispersed groups. Smokycloud heard paws coming closer, and then Goldenstar was in her face, sharp amber eyes and bristled fur as she roughly shoved her muzzle against Smokycloud's muzzle.
"Don't think I've forgotten about you," Goldenstar growled, her ears flattened. "As soon as Darkheart's patrol returns, you'll see just what happens to cats that try to destroy my mother's legacy."
Smokycloud tripped over, falling back onto the grass. She glanced at Tawnybranch, sobbing into Heavyfang's shoulder near the warriors' den.
"We failed," Tawnybranch wailed.
Smokycloud flinched as Goldenstar spat on her and walked away. Then, Smokycloud stared at the Moon-Oak and mountains in the distance, and nodded with her heart sinking to the bottom of her chest. That was the word Smokycloud felt deep in her soul.
Failed.
