This was it. This was the last step in the group's journey. They stood outside the Devil's office, key in hand.

"Ok, everyone ready?" Ruby asked, looking behind her.

"We've come this far," Cuphead replied, "we can't back down now."

"We're all in this with you Ruby." Weiss added.

Ruby nodded and stuck the key in the lock on the door before twisting it. The lock seemed to vanish in a puff of smoke, as the door creaked open, a sinister laugh coming from within. Everyone felt a shiver go down their spine, as they slowly entered the office, the door shutting behind them.

When everyone stepped inside, they noticed that the office was more like a large throne room. Large pillars held up the ceiling, with a golden throne with red velvet furnishings in the center of the room. Behind it was seemingly hell itself, with erupting volcanoes and lakes of molten lava. And sitting on the throne, as if he were expecting them, was The Devil, the demonic entity that gave Cuphead and co. this laborious and dangerous task.

"Well, well, well…" He said, smiling fiendishly, "Look at how far you lot have come! Not only did you bust up my good-for-nothing lackey, King Dice…" He leaned in closer to the group. "…but I see you've got my soul contracts, as agreed. Now, hand em' over, and join my team!"

"What?" Blake said, "We never agreed to join you!"

"Well you've got two options here lady…" The Devil growled, "You can either give me the contracts and join my army of demons, or you can die! So, what'll it be?"

Everyone fell silent. They were either thinking about what to do, or were internally panicking. Then, Ruby and Cuphead both broke the silence.

"Guys, we need to give him the contracts." The huntress in red said.

"WHAT?!" Everyone else shouted.

"She's right." Cuphead chimed in, "We made a deal with the devil, and now it's time to give him what he wants."

"Are you both insane?!" Ren yelled, "If you give him those contracts, we'll become his mindless minions!"

"We took on all kinds of monsters here, we can take him!" Yang added.

"I'm sorry sis." Ruby sighed, looking her half-sister in the eyes, "I got us into this mess, and now I'm gonna get us out of it. Cuphead, let's do this."

The cartoon cup nodded in agreement, and stepped up to the Devil with Ruby, holding one of the contracts.
"Brother, don't!" Mugman shouted.

"That's it…." The Devil said with a chuckle, "You're all gonna be mine! And we're gonna have one HELL of a time down here!"

He reached out to grab the contract. But little did he know that Ruby and Cuphead were both charging up attacks behind their backs. As soon as The Devil was about to lay a clawed finger on the contract, they both whipped out their guns and said, "PSYCHE!" The Devil was blasted by them, being thrown back onto his throne, which fell backwards with a loud crash. Everyone else stood in shock, as the two turned to face them.

"Like I said, I'm gonna get us outta this. By beating the absolute snot out of The Devil!" Ruby said triumphantly.

Everyone cheered, running up to them.

"I knew you'd make the right choice Cuphead!" Mugman smiled, hugging his brother tightly.

"I learned my lesson bro, I ain't doing something that stupid ever again!" Cuphead said.

"I must admit, that was a bold move Ruby. I'm impressed." Weiss said with a grin. Ruby smiled back, but the joy was short lived.

A wall of flames erupted from behind the Devil's throne, as it shot back upright. The Devil himself roared, now sporting sharp teeth and glowing red eyes.

"Welching on me just like all the others, eh?!" He bellowed, "I'll teach you for backing out of a deal! HAVE AT YOU!"

Everyone took combat positions, showing no fear.

"We're not afraid of you Devil, not anymore!" Jaune said.

"Oh, you WILL be, boy!" The Devil smirked, summoning a golden trident. He then leaned in close to the group, his eyes showing them being horribly mutilated. The group yelped in fright, but regained their composure, as this was no time to act scared. This was the final battle, the one would decide the fate of team RWBY, JNPR, and the cup brothers. Failure was NOT an option.

"Here's the final showdown folks, AND BEGIN!"

"Ready, WALLOP!"

The fight began, and it was by far the most difficult. The Devil would alternate between using his scepter to summon magic projectiles and transforming his very body to attack. Small purple demons would also emerge from behind the throne to attack as well, but they were easily disposed of.

"You broke our deal…now it's my turn to break you!" The Devil growled, before his head turned into that of a goat, and his arms extended.

"JUMP!" Cuphead shouted. The group all jumped in unison, avoiding the goat-like arms that slammed together beneath them. Once they landed, they fired everything they had at The Devil, using nearly every bit of fairy dust ammo they had left.

"So you like shooting colored balls huh? Well I can do that to!" And with that remark, The Devil swung his scepter and recited some kind of magic spell. He summoned four crystal balls, with one of them being pink. The balls began to bounce erratically around the arena. Jaune and Pyrrha used their shields to block the projectiles, while the others dodged them as best they could. Nora then used her hammer to send one of the balls crashing into the Devil's face, which seemed to cause him pain.

"Oh yeah!" Nora said, "I think we're hurting him!"

"Not bad…" The Devil said, wiping his mouth with his arm, "But try this on for size!" The Devil proceeded to grow four extra arms and rip off his own head, which transformed as well, resembling a spider.

"Augh, why does every transformation have to be so repulsive?!" Wiess gagged. Her disgust distracted her, as the spider-like head came slamming down on top of her. The ice queen growled in pain, as the head leapt back into the air. It proceeded to stop on the ground a few more times in an attempt to flatten the group, but they dodged and struck their blows accordingly. The Devil's head soon reconnected with its body, with both reverting to their original forms. Cuphead and Yang fired a few supers, as Blake did a downward slash. They finished up the combo with Mugman's energy beam super art. The Devil gripped the edges of his thrown and dropped his scepter.

"Well, I gotta admit, you brats have got some skill." He said, slowly gaining back his grin, "But now it's time I show you my TRUE power!" With that statement, The Devil began to pull at the edges of his mouth, until his entire skeleton leapt from its skin, much to the group's shock and horror. The skeleton then leapt down a hole, as a swarm of demons and fire began to approach.

"Guys, go on without us!" Ren said, "We'll hold them off!"

Team RWBY all nodded and leapt down the hole with the Cup Brothers. They fell down, down further into the depths of hell. They landed in pairs on floating platforms, in some kind of large cavern.

"Where'd that furry demon go?" Cuphead asked, looking around. Ruby turned around, and gasped.
"Uh, Cuppy?" She said, poking his shoulder. Cuphead turned around, and felt all his liquid blood turn cold.

The Devil stood there, in a new, gigantic form. His body glowed a menacing red, and his horns, eyes, and nails shined like gold.

"ANYONE WHO OPOSES ME WILL BE DESTROYED!" The demon cackled. Everyone gripped their weapons tightly as the second phase of the fight began.

The Devil resorted to using two attacks, both of which were hard to deal with. His first attack involved merging his eyes into one, and summoning a flaming axe that moved in a spiral motion, and damaged anyone it hit. Mugman and Yang were both hit by this. The Devil's other attack involved him summoning a flying bomb that could be parried. All the while, flaming poker chips fell from above, striking the platforms. The group moved quickly to avoid the hazards, and struck the Devil at every opportunity they had.

"Blake, Weiss, Checkmate!" Ruby called out. The two girls nod, Weiss creating boost glyphs that sent them flying upwards, much to the Devil's surprise.

"This ends now!" Blake said, slashing downwards.

"Indeed!" Weiss agreed, doing the same. The two slashed the Devil across the face, causing him to roar in pain.
"WILL YOU ALL JUST DIE ALREADY!?" He snarled, his face becoming an angry sneer.

A poker chip destroyed one of the platforms, forcing each pair onto one each. The third phase of the battle was by far the most difficult part, as the Devil sent in his demonic lackies to fight for him. These included two large purple demons that fired skulls, and small blue demons that homed in on the group. Everyone got hit at least once, reducing their HP to one.

"AUGH, I'm getting pissed!" Yang growled.

"Wait, that's it!" Cuphead said, "Yang, I got an idea! Go big, me and Mugman will take care of the rest!" Yang acknowledged, and quickly scarfed down her last growth cake, before leaping off the platform.

"Well, looks like your blonde friend gave up!" The Devil laughed.

"WANNA BET?!" Yang's voice echoed, as she rose up from beneath the platforms, her hair flaming and her eyes red. At that moment, Cuphead and Mugman both used their third Super Art, summoning their inner spirits, and clearing away the Devil's minions. "Eat THIS!" Yang shouted, punching the Devil right in the kisser, causing tremendous damage. The effect wore off, and Yang landed back on the platform.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" The Devil cried, tears starting to stream down his face.

Two more poker chips fell, destroying two other platforms, leaving one left. The Devil's tears fell near the group, forcing them to dodge on the singular platform.

"We need to finish him off now!" Mugman said.
"Guys, give me a boost!" Ruby ordered. Everyone nodded, and formed a circle around her. They all threw her up into the air, as she activated her super art, the energy from her silver eyes entering her staff. The Devil opened is eyes, and stared in horror at the red-headed girl before her. "GAME, OVER!" Ruby shouted, and delivered the final blow.

"A KNOCKOUT!"

The Devil rubbed his head, as several injuries appeared on his body. Everyone cheered in victory, as they were teleported back to the throne room in a puff of smoke.

…

The group had triumphed over the demon, forcing him to finally give up.

"We shall accept your surrender, Devil!" Cuphead laughed.

"But we're not done just yet!" Ruby added.

And with that, Cuphead, Mugman, and teams RWBY and JNPR destroyed all the soul contracts, releasing Inkwell Isle's residents from eternal servitude to the Devil.

"Wow, we really did it!" Jaune said.

"Heck yeah we did!" Nora hollered, hugging her leader.

"Gosh, I can't wait to tell everybody!" Cuphead said. Everyone set off for the cottage, and at top speed.

"C'mon, last one there's a leaky cup!" Mugman teased as they ran.

Once home, the group gathered everyone together.

"Residents of Inkwell Isle, you're all free of the Devil's debt!" Weiss announced.

"You don't gotta worry about that freak bothering you ever again!" Yang added.

The Elder Kettle was literally brimming with pride as everyone began to cheer: "Let's hear it for Cuphead, Mugman, and the teams RWBY and JNPR! Hip-hip-hurrah! Hip-hip-hurrah!"

As an all-day celebration began, the hunters and huntresses of Beacon were teleported back to their world, and the brothers promised to never wander into trouble again. And they didn't, until the next time, of course! But that is another story…

Ruby finished reading the book and closed it.

"So, whaddya think?" She asked to everyone behind her.

"I must say, it isn't as horrible as I thought." Weiss smiled.

"Yeah, it may have not had a complicated plot, but it was still enjoyable." Blake added.

"Especially because we got to be part of the action!" Yang said, pumping her fist.

"Well, we better be getting back to our dorm." Jaune said, "It's getting late."

"Seeya tomorrow guys!" Nora beamed, as she and her team left the dorm.

And with that, Team RWBY also prepared for bed, as Ruby placed the book back in the closet. She would miss Cuphead, Mugman, and all the other cartoon friends she made, but she would always remember the fun adventure they all had together. And they would eventually see each other again, but that's a story for another day…
