Summary/disclaimer: time for another chapter of Anodite Attraction. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Ben Ten, Cartoon Network and a few others do.

Fintan floated alongside the side of the ship. He was glad the ship's wiring was holding up. Verdona floated next to him as the Prypiatosian-B blinked.

"I'm surprised this Techadon piece of junk is space worthy." Fintan muttered while Verdona leaned on the ship. "The engines are having issues. I'm going to try and fix them as best I can." Fintan muttered and started to shift through the engine parts.

"When did you learn how to fix a ship?" Verdona asked while raising an eyebrow.

"Considering my people have been trying to salvage everything on the surface?" Fintan asked Verdona who raised an eyebrow. "It's kind of in the blood." Fintan added with amusement .

"Hmm…" Verdona hummed and looked at the ship. She ran a violet hand over the metallic hull of the ship. "I think it needs a name." Verdona said which made Fintan hum and look at her.

"I'm sorry, what?" Fintan asked the Anodite and let out a hum. "What do you mean 'we should name it?' It's just another piece of metal until we find a new one." Fintan said before one of the wires spiked.

Verdona hummed and leaned on the hull of the ship. She looked out at space. One of the few things Verdona could do that others normally couldn't do without equipment.

Verdona wondered if other species ever studied space or even explored it.

"And until then?" Verdona asked with a smile. "We should remember it. This is the ship we're touring the galaxy with. I don't plan for it to be remembered as just some scrap pile." Verdona said before Fintan hummed and sighed.

"Ok, what do you plan on naming the ship then?" Fintan questioned Verdona while letting out a yawn. "I can't really think of any names currently." Fintan pointed out while checking on the engines.

Verdona blinked and turned back to the hull of the ship. She started to mentally rattle off names. The shields flickered once as Fintan checked them.

"Did you wish to know that the reason we can talk is the shields?" Fintan asked and turned to Verdona. "They keep in oxygen while repelling things like blasts, asteroids, and more." Fintan said before blinking.

"Hmm." Verdona said before she snapped her fingers. "We can call it the Singularity." Verdona said as Fintan turned to the Anodite with surprise.

"You want to name it after something like that?" Fintan asked and got a nod from Verdona. "Why?" Fintan questioned the Anodite.

"Because our memories are infinite." Verdona said as Fintan stopped his work. "We're going on an intergalactic road trip, aren't we? Then we're bound to make thousands of new memories which will last forever." Verdona stated as Fintan hummed.

"Ok then, Singularity it is." Fintan stated while letting out a sigh and then finishing up his work.

He grunted and then flew back to the ramp of the ship. Fintan guessed since the Techadons hadn't needed to breath. The ship had no reason to require life support.

Fintan said nothing and landed on the ramp. Fintan rubbed at his eyes before deciding to walk inside the ship.

"Done already?" Verdona asked before landing on the ramp as well. Fintan hummed and nodded.

"Yes, I've disabled security at least until I can figure out how to fix it." Fintan said while brushing dust off his hands. "And the engines should be fixed up. We're going to need fuel, though." Fintan muttered and stretched before flying up to the cockpit of the ship.

Verdona hummed, she could at least figure out a solution to that issue. Fintan looked at the Anodite once more and sat down at the cockpit.

"Should I point out that this ship does have weapons?" Fintan asked Verdona and started to test the controls. "It should hold up to a lot of damage. I'm just worried it might have problems sooner or later." Fintan stated and cracked his neck.

"Can't you fix them if it does?" Verdona questioned as Fintan hummed.

"I can't make parts out of nowhere like you probably could." Fintan said and crossed his arms. "I'm also not a ship expert. I can fix a few things. It honestly depends on what's wrong with the ship." Fintan put in as he started to look over changes in the ship.

Verdona let Fintan look over the rest of the ship. Fintan made sure to check everything at least once.

"Should I point out that every single planet we visit we supplies?" Fintan said while looking to the side. "I have money for fuel. Other things? I'm going to need some time to see if I can handle getting those supplies." Fintan stated to Verdona and finished his checks.

They were ready to go. He'd be glad if they could make it a few systems without issue.

Fintan cleared his throat and sighed while powering up the engines.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that Fintan and Verdona will be bonding slowly and such. I don't want to make Fintan a Mary sue. Next chapter will be in a week or so and will show Fintan and Verdona at their first stop and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!

P.S: Next chapter will be 900-1200 words.
