Hi: Our favorite couple have been separated too long.

Chapter 12

Flight to Freedom Part II

As a man in a white lab coat walks with a fast pace to the lab, a voice from behind fills the deserted corridor.

"Doctor Singh," the words causes the physician to turn to his rear.

"Omff!" An explosion of air catapults form the doctor's mouth. Michael's forearm has caused the stunned man to double over.

Dragging the gasping doctor by the back of his white collar, Michael rushes him into the unlocked electrical room.

"Listen. The electricians will be back in an hour or so." He tells the still panting young man.

Michael's casual strolls during the afternoon brought him to a group of naval electricians. One of the young sailors hailed from Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Though it is quite a distance form Michael's home, it caused the two enlisted men to swap harmless antidotes. Before the conversation finished, Michael knew the work continued round the clock and whatever team were assigned would break at 3 AM.

His victim began to control labored breathing. The time to speak had arrived.

"Listen soldier. When they catch you you'll be put away for a long time. They'll tell your parents you died in some accident."

"Yeah, like maybe a helicopter accident in the Philippine Sea." Michael snorts out a laugh. "That's already happened doc." The soldier's forearm is pressed up against the doctor's chest, he flips the light switch.

Michael's smug expression disappears in a flash. The man thrust up against the wall is not Singh.

"You," The dark haired victim stops struggling. "Helicopter crash?" His voice gains strength. "You are the soldier that found that sea monster or whatever you want to call it."

"You're not Singh." The only reply from his attacker. Then after a short pause, Michael's right eyebrow shoots upward.

"Sea monster?" Green eyes sparkle as a flood of neon light from the overhead bulbs coat Michael's iris.

"It?" The last word the confused physician hears before the enraged attacker punches him in the stomach.

"You bastard. I don't care how many degrees you have." The helpless form is stripped of the lab coat. Michael unbuttons the navy blue dress pants and rips them from the doctor. "I happen to love that monster." Grabbing a cleaning rag from the shelf above the action, he sticks it in the doctor's mouth. "It?" Seeing duct tape, Michael tears enough to bind the struggling doctor's hands behind his back. Then binding squirming legs.

"Don't be a fool, she'll kill you." By spitting the rag from his mouth, Michael will be forced to use the duct tape on his mouth. Shaking his head, he continues. "My name is Frazier." He inhales. "Singh is in town with his parents."

"Just be quiet and you won't get hurt. All I need is your badge."
"It's a little late for that." Straining to get somehow break free of the duct tape, he continues. "That song of hers. She might not have used it before…but she." His comment ended by the tape.

Michael finishes dressing himself. "I picked Singh cause he's supposed to look like me. But you are…" A disgusted look arises on the surprised soldier. "Listen, I didn't want to do this. But now when they take this off," a smirk covers the victim's expression. "I'm gonna be a long way from here, but I bet I hear you scream."

Pulling the still struggling form into a corner, Michael uses the tape again to fasten the prisoner to a water pipe.

"How much do you weigh?" Michael exhales under a disgusted expression. "Singh is supposed to weigh…like 150" Michael shoves the prisoner into the corner. "You're about Two something. And your damn hair is like a dark blond, something." After stealing a few breaths due to the unexpected exertion, he peeks at the ID clipped to his vest pocket. "I hope that marine is near sighted."

The flustered young man then opens the door to check the corridor. Turning back, he whispers.

"Sorry to be so rough doc," he sighs. "But…she is my girl."

Slight chuckles follow him into the corridor.

The Science Lab

The two nurses are not doing any better than Dr. Frazier.

"Please, leave us alone." Toni Jackson leans to the front of her male colleague. His palm is on a dislocated shoulder.

"Ensign Thomas is seriously hurt. Please. No more." She pleads.

Before her is a dripping form. Human fingers are elongated with sharp nails pointing in the woman's direction.

"Go, we won't say anything. Leave…" The female nurse points to the door. She is well aware, the marine guard is located on the other side.

"No, I no go. Where is Michael. My Michael." A menacing hiss shoots from Michelle's lips.

"We don't know any Michael." John Thomas answers. "This is my fault. I should have never tried to hoist her up." He looks at his colleague. "I thought she was dying."

The nude figure before them does not react with patience at that answer.

Raising her right arm, claw-like hands are held over the huddled couple.

A door opens, then the enraged figure hears a voice that calms her anger.

"I'm needed." The familiar tone raises her sparse eyebrows.

"Go right in Doctor Singh. Some kinda medical stuff."

The only words he needed to hear after using his ID to open the security door. The seated marine barely lifted his head to nod as the lab coated man walked past his desk.

Note to reader:

To be honest, this chapter originally was to contain some hot action between the reunited lovers. Well, they are not lovers yet, but if I get at least one review or IM about this work…well. The heat of Chapter 13 might cause some burns.
