The only reason the elemental even stopped attacking them is that Toton had spoken to it, her pig said that the elemental wanted to protect the girls because it had failed to do so the first time they had truly needed it.

From what Tonton said the two got into a rather heated argument when the elemental called Tsunade someone that couldn't get past her own trauma, Tsunade had seen the two arguing with one another, but from her point of view, the elemental growled, and Tonton oinked.

Tsunade had to restrain herself as Tonton told her about her discussion with the being, for one an elemental is absolutely loyal to its master and won't serve anyone else until that master is dead, sure it will play along simply because it's master tells it not to kill or hurt people, but if those orders aren't given.

May whatever god the person foolish enough to the being, forgive them for the elemental will gladly kill everything, be it a small house, a city, or an entire country just to kill the person foolish enough to try and take it from its master.

She listened to her pig making its various sounds as it tried to explain everything it had learned as the elemental became warm and comforted the girls.

To see a being made of ice suddenly turn into warm water was truly otherworldly, it was as if she was looking at the collective tears of Humanity as a whole given form.

Tonton, told Tsunade, that the elementals had listened to her explanation to David and agreed that had she not taken their masters things would have indeed been worse for them.

However Tsunade was expected to fulfill her role as David's wife when the time came, either she would grant the boy his freedom or do what wives do and settle down and be a family.

Tsunade nearly burst out laughing when her pig oinked the elementals expectations of her, as she remembered her real age and the fact that she is, in fact, a lot older than the boy, so by the time he can get any woman pregnant, she would be far too old for it.

Tonton immediately oinked and stopped her from laughing.

The elementals had said that it was they who controlled the flow of time and anything that has to do with the material realm, so if Tsunade was old and David found her pleasing to the eye.

Then they would simply turn the clock back for her and make her young again, perhaps they would make her the same age as David.

Tonton had argued that the boy couldn't have that level of control over her, but the water elemental refuted Tontons complaints as foolish.

The reason it gave her pig, was that Tsunade would keep everything, her training, her life experience, her memories everything that made Tsunade, who she was would remain but in a younger body.

If David was given his freedom, however, they would leave Tsunade alone, and if the two divorced all of their protection would also be given to Tsunade, as a thank you for keeping her promise.

The elementals would manifest whenever she would need them but other than that, they wouldn't come into existence, so Tsunade would be free to do as she pleases, which includes growing old and dying, as those things are natural and should occur.

No reincarnation, no being forced to rule over the elements when she died or anything like that, as Tsunade would be apart of another existence beyond their control.
