Italics means it's Tara's POV. ~Ms. Oregano

Some people only get a chance to hear about what their parents were like through stories their grandparents tell or even their own parents tell. I was fortunate enough to experience it firsthand. My parents are the most inspirational people I know...

"Danny!"

Jazz ran up the stairs, skipping every other step, and burst through the door. Danny laid on his bed with his laptop, while Sam took the desk with her textbook and notebook open. Tucker sat on a beanbag chair, reading and highlighting through a book.

"What's up, Jazz?" Danny asked.

"What are you doing right now?"

"Uh, my English essay? Why?"

"Stop what you're doing, and take this phone call." She dodged the items on the floor of his messy room and handed him his phone.

"What?" Danny said.

"You left your phone downstairs, just answer it!"

"Okay, okay! Jeez, you don't have to yell...Hello? Yes, this is Danny Fenton speaking."

Sam put the cap back on her highlighter and turned her chair around, while Tucker put a bookmark in his book for English class.

Danny's eyes grew wide. He stood up.

"Oh, wow. Thank you. Thank you! Uh-huh...okay...okay. Yes, definitely. Thanks again. Bye." He ended the call.

"What is it, dude?" Tucker said.

"Don't keep us waiting, Danny! Say something!" Sam said.

"I...I just won the Nobel Peace Prize for saving the world from the Disasteroid."

...Not just because of the things they've done and their successes, but also because of who they choose to be everyday. They are the rare kind of people who want to do right by others, always. They teach me what kind of person I want to grow up to be. The kind of person who always remembers why they fell in love with someone and still makes the conscious decision everyday to love that person.

"Okay, push!"

Sam squeezed her eyes shut and gritted her teeth. She gripped her husband's hand, who was now donning a gold wedding ring matching her new one. On a chain around her neck was the class ring she got when she was 16.

"There you go, that's it," the doctor said.

Sam exhaled and dropped her head onto the pillow behind her.

"You're doing great, Sam..." Danny said as he rubbed her forehead with a wet paper towel.

"Just a couple more pushes, Mrs. Manson. I can see the head already."

"Okay, okay..." Sam said.

"Ready? Deep breath in. Now push. Push...push, push, push!"

"Oh my gosh, Sam, I can see the head!"

"He's coming out! That's it! Just one more!"

Sam inhaled and pushed again, letting out her first and final yell of the night.

"He's out!"

The doctor immediately placed the little crying newborn on Sam's chest, and Sam began to cry.

"You did an amazing job," Danny said as he kissed her forehead.

"He's so beautiful. He's absolutely perfect," she said.

"David Harlan Fenton..." Danny said as he rubbed his son's head. "Welcome to the family."

But my parents aren't the only people who inspire me. My best friend's dad, for example, has taught me about love and loyalty, and how living by those two values can reward you immensely...

Tucker dropped his backpack on the floor by his front door.

"Emma? You home?"

He slipped off his jacket and hung it inside the coat closet.

"Danny said you had to leave early from Spector Detectors. Are you okay?"

A light pitter-patter of footsteps came from the stairs. Emma jumped off the last step and grabbed Tucker by the wrist.

"Follow me."

"Okay..."

They ran up, and Emma led him to the bathroom door.

"Go check the sink."

"Uh, sure?"

Tucker walked in, and Emma covered her mouth with her hands, trying to hold in the giddiness.

Finally, Tucker slowly walked back out. He held a pregnancy test.

"They all say the same thing, Emma..."

"Looks like I'll have to ask for maternal leave from work."

Tucker threw the test back into the sink and gathered her up in his arms.

"This is our second chance of having a big family."

I know who I am, because of the people who came before me. I know right from wrong, and in the line of work I do, that is the most important value.

My name is Tara Fenton. I'm also known as Tara Phantom. I once took my father's time machine and accidentally went into the past, but it turned out to be the best thing to have ever happened to me. I don't regret a single thing.

End

And that's it! If you've been around since the beginning, thank you SO much for sticking around. If you just joined the journey, thank you for giving my fanfiction a try. I hope you enjoyed the read. Please let me know what you thought of it by reviewing! I especially want to thank u/Thunda792 for being my editor for the past few months.

Side note, I decided to name Danny and Sam's son after Danny's voice actor David Kaufman and the son of Grey DeLisle (Sam's voice actor). Tara is named after Tara Strong, who played characters in both Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom :)

As I mentioned in a previous chapter, I will be making edits to this original version of my season 4 story and uploading it to another site (mainly because fanfiction has been a pain to upload stories onto...). So, if you want to follow me over on Archive of Our Own, my username there is msoregano21

Finally, I want to write a couple more stories, and I would like your opinion on which you would rather read (or both!). Would you rather read about the Nobel Peace Prize that Danny wins that is more DxS, or would you rather I write a story where Paris (the daughter of Paulina and Dash) is more of the main character? Let me know in the reviews!

Once again, thank you, thank you, thank you.
