"I can't believe it," Star said in awe as Marco drove through the portal. "I'm actually back."

Her face was glued to the window. Constantly looking around at the new world. It was like something out of a dream. Monsters and Mewimans were getting along better than ever before. The kingdom itself had seemed grown beyond anything she could picture then came the castle. It was brand new and just as grand as the one she grew up now.

"Everything's changed so much," Star said slumping in her seat a little.

"Well, so have we," Marco said with an assuring smile. He then laughed a little to himself.

"Marco, do you think?" Star started to ask with tears forming in her eyes.

"Of course she will."

"You know Harmony, that was a little rude," Kit said as she, Azealia, and Harmony walked through the halls of the castle.

"What was?" Harmony asked playing with her wand a little. Azealia and Kit glanced and each other.

"What you said to Artemis," Kit responded crossing her arms.

"You guys really think I'm gonna hog this thing," Harmony laughed. "I'll share with Artemis once I get a few spells down."

"I mean okay," Azealia said with a lot of hesitation.

"I'm serious girls."

"Well, you haven't really been treating him well..."

"What?!" Harmony barked turning around.

"This might be just me but I thought he was a girl until I met him yesterday," Kit leaned on a collum in the hallway.

"I've said brother plenty of times." Harmony waved it off.

"All I'm saying would it kill you to be nice to him?"

Harmony froze in place. Her wand almost falling for her hands. Kit and Azealia started to call out to her. But they fell to death ears. Soon, Harmony found herself back in the realm of magic. The other version of her father crying over her. Her dead body lying on the floor. She shivered to herself. Glancing at her friends for a second, she started to march away. Her hand gripping tighter on her wand.

"It will not kill me." She growled bluntly. "Nothing will."

"Star aren't you going to go in?" Marco asked standing in front of the door. Star, meanwhile, was standing at the foot of the stairs staring up at him. Behind her, there were a bunch of servents unpacking the car. A few of them stared at her in awe before a Septarian woman hurried them along.

"What if she's there?" Star asked sheepishly.

"Star you're going to have to see her eventually," Marco said walking back down to her. He stopped a few feet in front of her.

"But what-what do I even say to her?!"

"Whenever comes to your mind sweetheart," Marco said softly. He slowly held out his hand to her. Star gulped before grabbing it. Gently he led her up the stairs and she moved closer to him. As they walked she moved closer to him. Marco knocked on the door and Star buried her head in his chest. Slowly the doors creaked open. Star gulped and jumped back a little. Looking around she saw the main entrance of the castle baren. Marco loosened his grip of her and she started to walk away.

"You okay?" Marco asked placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Yes," Star said holding onto Marco's hand. She was rubbing it as she spoke. "Just, I just need to adjust that's all."

"Alright dear," Marco said before kissing her on the cheek.

"Marco?" Star asked softly stepping away from him. "Where are the kids?"

"I don't know," Marco started to pace around a little. "Not sure about Artemis but Harmony is probably practicing magic out in the courtyard."

"Wow, that was fast."

"I mean it's a much longer story." Marco shook his head a little. He rubbed his hand against his face.

"I bet she's already performing so many spells." Star spun around a little before freezing. She lifted her hand up into the air. The light surrounding it in a magical glow. Hesitantly she lowered it and held it in her free hand.

"You want to look around?" Marco asked stretching out his arm. Star nodded slowly. As they walked she stayed close to him. But not too close. It was strange but the halls felter warmer and emptier than they did when she grew up. she really couldn't figure out she was feeling like this. Except for the very baren walls that were not a problem before.

"Can we stop here?" Star let go of Marco before he could respond. On the wall was a giant mural that covered the entirety of it. It started with Festivia pouring out her goblet. From the wine emerged Dirhennia and Cresenta. Dirhennia was looking away while Crescenta was front and center. the pattern continued with each of the past queens performing a spell that somehow connected to their heir. Star walking along it, gently gliding her hand across it. She stopped at her grandmother. She was down what she was known for, her pies. From one of them emerged her mother who was casting her darkest spells. Star froze, she remembered seeing the tapestry of her mother casting it. It still sent chills up her spine. Looking up she then saw herself in her Golden Butterfly form. In all it's glory. She stepped back and bumped into Marco.

"Are you okay?" He asked holding on to her shoulders. She nodded and turned to face him.

"Let's go somewhere else," Star said quickly. She started to run in a different direction.

"Star be careful," Marco said quickly following behind her.

"Marco I'm fine."

"Do you know where you're going?"

"Do you?"

"A little," Marco said with a shrug.

"Marco trust me, I know what I'm doing." Marco laughed as she ran off and quickly followed behind.

"Are you adjusting alright Artemis?" Moon asked walking over to the table that Artemis was sitting at.

"I-I think so," Artemis said looking down at the sandwich he was eating.

"I know it's a big change." Moon sat down in the seat across from him. "But I assure you things will get better. Soon everything that seems strange to you will become the norm."

"I dunno." Artemis slouched back in his seat. Slowly he reached for his sandwich and took another bite. "It's a lot."

"Understandable." Moon gestured for a servant and whispered something to them. "Leaving family, friends..."

"I only have one friend," Artemis mumbled to himself.

"Well after some more time adjusting, you could invite them over."

"I doubt he'd come." Artemis slouched even more. "He's busy filming a movie. We can only text each other."

"Well, it's um-better than nothing." Moon froze for a moment. Artemis sat up a little more. Moon briefly looked away. "You can't mess this up."

A little while later, the servant walked back in. Now holding a tray. On it was a teapot, some teacups, and a plate of cookies. The servant places the teapot and teacup in front of Moon.

"Tea, Artemis?" Moon asked gesturing to the pot.

"Yes please, mam," Artemis said softly. Moon pour him a cup of tea. Artemis slowly raised it to his lips. Taking a small sip he smiled. Trying his best to hide his disdain for the drink.

"What am I supposed to do?" Artemis thought to himself as he took another sip. "I got to make a good impression on her. I think I have but how am I supposed to know?"

"I think this is the dining room," Marco said poking his head.

"Dad!" Artemis cheered after swallowing his tea. Coughing a little as he jumped up and ran over. He hugged his father tightly. Marco hugged him back. Even still, Artemis couldn't help but look away. Then he gasped. "Mom!"

"Hi Arte-" Star began to say as Artemis ran over and started to poke her a little. His eyes not leaving the pink hearts now decorating the cheeks.

"Is, is it really you?" He asked poking her gently. Star bent down a little and cupped his face.

"Yes honey it's me," Star said gently. She rubbed her thumb against his cheek marks. "I never thought I see the day. A perfect fit for my little ball of sunshine."

Moon remained in her seat in shock. It was her voice. Star's voice. It felt so unreal to her. Not a day went by in those past twenty-five years where she didn't hear that voice playing back in her head. The excitement, the sorrow, the wonder, of the fifteen years. But most importantly the hurt and utter disgust that filled her voice on that faithful day. A plague of Moon's darkest side. Now was her chance to make it all right, but was it even possible.

"I can't avoid this forever," she said to herself. She pushed back her seat and stood up.

Star bolted up hearing that sound. She smiled and started to approached until she saw the face of her mother. Both women were now frozen in place. Staring at each other. Occasionally one of the two would move but nothing really came from that. After a bit of this, Star took a deep breath.

"Mom I'm so sorry for-" Star couldn't finish as Moon pulled her into a hug. "You're, you're not upset?"

"Of course not," Moon said holding back tears. "You're the one who should be upset with me."

"But I-"

"It doesn't matter now, with this new magic comes a new start."
