A/N: I want to point out I started this, story earlier in the Fall than I did with my other crossover: Arashi Uzumaki of the Blue Plague, but still no where in the beginning, so if you want to know what happened in Blue Plague series before the point I used, you got to read the actual books. Just don't let kids read it.

I'm also censoring curse words as it's too many used in more than just saying usual ways that I can't ignore them all. At least with censoring I'm not going against my usual way of avoiding curse wordsof the Blue Plague series Tomas W. Watson, whose wife is Tina Watson. I should also tell you Watson always based a character after himself in his books, and in the Blue Plague series that's Bruce.

Finally, I don't own the Blue Plague series or the Naruto series or it's characters. But I do know the wife of the writer of the Blue Plague series Tomas W. Watson, whose wife is Tina Watson. I should also tell you Watson always based a character after himself in his books, and in the Blue Plague series that's Bruce.

If you haven't read it yet, read this first:

Blue Plague's Nine-Tail Fox's Son: The Fall

Conner and Debbie Explains What the Wave is

Naruto walked into the dining room where everyone else sat around the table. Naruto flopped down on a chair next to Yamato. No one asked Naruto what happened as they did not know if Naruto could explain why Bruce acted the way he did. Only one that knew the answer to that was working on his list since no one even thought of asking him.

Before long Debbie, Mike, and Nancy came in. Each grabbed a chair and sat down, gazing off into space just like Naruto. The others just stare, wanting them to say something, anything.

Mike was the first to break the silence, "Holy a- b-."

"Second that," Nancy said.

Stephanie put down her pen and looked around the table, finally asking, "What the h- was that?"

"He was riding the wave," Conner replied in an offhand tone as he wrote on his list. They all looked at him as he continues writing. Feeling everyone stare at him, he looked up. "What?" Conner asked.

"Care to explain?" Stephanie asked.

Conner put down his pen. "Look, I have only one combat tour, but I was ready to apply to Ranger school. I have met a lot of meat eaters and most of them talk about it. I have only experienced it once. Other than that, it's all secondhand information," he informed them.

"First, I don't care if it's secondhand information. Second, everyone here is a meat eater," Stephanie told him.

"Ma'am, in the military, meat eaters are the warriors at the top of the list. Your apex predators, they live for the job. Rangers, Special Forces, SEALs, and Recon, those elite forces that live on the edge," Conner replied.

"That sounds like the ANBU and Root we have back home," Yamato said.

"Okay, it's the boys that are really full of testosterone. Now what is the wave? I've heard Debbie mention it a few times, but what she described bordered on sociopathic behavior," Stephanie said, not liking the fact that anything about Bruce could be bad.

"I'll try to explain it, but until you experience the wave, it's hard to describe. In my case it started as a panic, then it moved to anger I could feel goose bumps over my body, and I was filled with rage that I have never felt before. It was not really directed at anything. It was just there. You feel like you can do anything, and you can actually feel the world around you," Conner said.

"Then you start killing?" Bill asked.

"Yeah," Conner said.

"That's sociopathic, Conner," Stephanie said, leaning back in her chair.

"Only if you pleasure from it," Naruto said. "I go through something similar, but I call it demon instincts and it's harder for me to control because it releases a kind of power in me only a tailed beast goes through. For a moment I become the one thing people fear."

Naruto did not say it, but they got the feeling he was referring to being a monster. Debbie even gasped as she realized what Naruto was talking about.

"It's not always easier for humans either. We just learn to see the enemy as targets. If you get pleasure from it, you release the rage and you do not want to do that. The first ambusher I shot, I started to feel happy about it and I could feel the rage leaving. I stopped feeling happy or sad and just engaged the enemy. Do not think about it; you just move through one target to find another one. That is riding the wave. You hold the rage in. If you let it out like retribution, you slide down the wave. Let us get something straight. These are not nuns and Boy Scouts we are fighting. They want to kill us. We must kill them first. How you feel when you do it is splitting hairs on morality," Conner replied, looking down the table at Stephanie. Then he turned to Naruto. "Naruto, I don't know what it's like to be a tailed beast, but I know one thing, I seen you fight enough times to know you can fight as well as any experience meat eater on the wave."

"Thanks," Naruto responded.

"What about what Bruce said: 'We have a piece of his heart?'" Nancy asked Conner, but Debbie spoke first.

"You can't hurt your team because you love them," Debbie said.

"My platoon sergeant was a Ranger. He told stories of men riding the wave, jumping in front of bullets, jumping on top of grenades to save the team. Among meat eaters, it is better to hurt yourself than a teammate with your actions or your inactions," Conner said.

"That's something else our village is known for," Yamato said. "We call it the Will of Fire. We fight and protect our home, family, and those we cared about to the last breath. We do not rely on hate to do it either. We just do it. Every leaf ninja is taught to harness their own will of fire."

"I can honestly say I never felt threatened by Bruce out there. I did feel some pity for those four, but it was only for a few second," Bill admitted.

"Like I said, once you feel it, you never forget it and you do want more," Conner told everyone before picking up his pen and writing again.

"There is a downside, Conner," Debbie told him, and he looked up at her.

"You want the wave more and more like a drug addict. You start to push those close to you away if they do not ride the wave. It slowly eats at your soul until all you want is the rage. That is the only thing that has ever come between us. I almost left Bruce when he was in the service because of it. Haven't you ever wondered why the divorce rates are so high in the elite forces?" Debbie asked everyone.

"You almost left Bruce? Are you s- me?" Nancy asked; this was the first time she had heard this.

"Yes. He was changing each time he came back from an assignment. He was getting increasingly distant. His eyes were getting cold to anyone we met, and he was indifferent to the world. I told him if he did not leave the Army, I was leaving with Steve and Jake. He chose us, but for the first year I was ready to kill him. None of you have seen him that b- and it lasted an entire year. Then he returned to the man I fell in love with," Debbie told them, and everyone was in shock except for Naruto and Yamato. They either seen it themselves or knew someone that went through it. It was part of the job of being a ninja.

"When y'all came back home from the hospital I could see it in his eyes. It had happened again. I had not seen that look in his eyes in over fifteen years, but it was there. Until tonight, I had never seen him 'riding the wave.' I am not going to lie, part of me wanted to join him. I could feel the energy he was giving off. The air around him was alive. I could see at that moment that he could and would do anything to protect us. The rage came because someone threatened his family, his team. The other part of me wanted to take off running and vomit," Debbie said, stretching her arms out on the table and laying her head down as Mike spoke.

"Debbie, I can honestly say if it was not for that wave, we wouldn't be here now, and that goes for all the survivors also," Mike told her.

"I know, Mike, that's why I didn't say anything and have just tried to make him let it go until he needs it," Debbie said, lifting her head up, tears running down her face. "Part of me wants to go out there right now and tell him to unleash it, live in it and move through the land like a second plague. I know we will be safer if he does, but I can't because I don't want to lose him."

"I'll help you," Stephanie promised, grabbing her hand.

"I will too," Angela said, placing her hand on top of theirs.

"Me too." Naruto added his hand. "I got some word of advice from the spirit of the First Hokage last time I unleashed Demon Instincts. What you say about the wave is true, we might be able to apply the same advice to helping Bruce."

Nancy and Mike joined in, as they all placed their hands-on top of one another, pledging to help Bruce keep the wave in check.

"What was that advice you got?" Debbie asked Naruto.

Naruto closed his eyes and took out the first Hokage's necklace that held the stone that Naruto learned holds chakra from the Hokage himself. Naruto remember meeting Hashirama. Although it been weeks since that faithful meeting, Naruto still remember it like it happened yesterday. He decided to skip the part about peace since Hashirama's advice on it was what he alone felt is right and Debbie do not need to hear it.

"It has to do with losing people but… he told me: There will always be death in this world. You cannot prevent it. But what you can do is hold the memories of those who died in your heart and never forget the times you shared," Naruto said. "Lord First Hokage told me this out of his own experience as he lost brothers to war before he and several other clans manage to create peace and use it to create the Village Hidden in the Leaves."

"Since the wave is triggered by the idea of losing your team that's actually good advice," Conner said.

Then Angela asked Debbie, "How do you stop it?"

Debbie looked at her. "My method more works after the wave is no longer needed, but I just ask him to let it go. Now I said ask, do not tell. Then avoid him for a little while, but not too long. Then make him smile and laugh, just to shock him back to himself."

"D-, that's what Angela Naruto and I did after we were hit by that mob," Mike admitted in disbelief.

Naruto snorted at the memory. "Hard to remain angry when you're happy."

"It's not hard unless he's been in it for a long time. The second time Bruce went to Africa for six months was the worst ever. When he got home, I could tell he had been on the wave the entire time. Do not ask what he did because he never told me. That is when I gave him the ultimatum," Debbie said quietly as she relived the event in her head.

"Some things are best off not knowing," Yamato said. "I can't really speak for myself as I didn't have a family until I met Naruto, Sakura, and Sai, but I had comrades that did and from them I know Shinobies can live their entire lives living with experience they feel are better off not told to others—even from family and love ones."

"We see you as family too, Captain," Naruto said. "We been through too much in the brief time we knew each other for Sakura and me not to see you and Sai as family, and I wouldn't be surprise Kakashi-sensei thinks the same."

Then Angela asked Debbie, "Debbie, how did you meet Bruce?"

Debbie laughed. "I've known Bruce my whole life. I remember him from Sunday school and first grade. He was so mean to me, always pulling my hair and making fun of me. When he was in sixth grade and I was in the fifth grade, I knew he was the one I wanted to marry."

"So, he was nice to you then?" Stephanie asked her.

"Nice, h-. That son of a b- still pulled my hair and hit me with spit balls. But I could see something in him even then that just made my heart stop," Debbie told Stephanie, which shocked her.

"How in the h- did you catch him then?" Angela asked.

"One day I asked him if I could come over to his house so he could teach me how to play basketball. When I helped him with his homework that first time, he invited me over again. After the third time, I asked him to come over to my house and he did." Debbie smiled with the happy memories.

"You ambushed him," Mike said in a shocked voice.

"Well, yeah," Debbie replied, looking at Mike like he was an idiot.

I wonder how Asuma-sensei and Kurenai-sensei started dating, Naruto thought. He knew the two were married after the battle against Kakuzu and Hidan after learning Kurenai-sensei was expecting a child and Asuma was the father, but he never asked.

"Did he ever try to go out with any other girls?" Nancy asked curiously.

"Yeah, in ninth grade there was a dance, and I couldn't go because I was in the eighth. A girl named Wendy German asked Bruce to go to the dance with her but somehow her dress got all town up," Debbie said, and they all started laughing. Then Debbie told them about their first date, Bruce's hickey Debbie put on him, and several other funny stories. The laughter continued until Bruce walked in the door and everyone stopped laughing and looked at Bruce.

"What? Did I fart?" Bruce asked.

Debbie leaned her head backwards until she saw Bruce upside down. "No, baby. If you had we'd all be on the floor."

Bruce leaned over and kissed her then sat down in his seat. "Jim is guarding them and they're to stay naked until further notice," Bruce said. All eyes looked on him, except Bill Yamato and Naruto who was smirking.

"So, you decided to give G- back his name?" Naruto asked.

"Yes, Naruto, but only I can call him Jim. I have to make sure he's broken and is ready to join humanity again."

"Hey, that's fine with me. I noticed a subtle changed in G- since our first night home, I just wasn't sure you did," Naruto said earning himself some curious looks. "I've seen many people that started off like g- or even worse change to decent human beings. So, I recognized the signs with g-."

Bruce nodded, seeing Naruto's point. Unless you see people change yourself, others might doubt your word. "I also gave Jim an empty gun belt. The others will be on s- duty and can only use their hands, no tools, and Jim is their supervisor."

D-, that's good," Bill said after Nancy informed him and Yamato what s- detail was.

"If it continues working out with g-, maybe we can give him permanent job as s- detail advisor," Naruto suggested. "We might run into more people like the judge, congressman, and the troopers and he's already familiar with the job. It is easier to assign it to him than to assign someone the job just to teach them what is needed to be done."

Bruce and even Debbie Mike and Nancy nodded as they liked the idea.

"Now, let's start making list of work crews and a training schedule," Bruce said.

"Here they are," Stephanie said, handing several pieces of paper to him. "Angela and I made them after looking at what everyone can do. We also gave Sakura a job to help with medical needs and treatment and if needed field medic since she has experience in both."

"Well, let's get some laptops in here and get these lists on the computer," Bruce said.

"Done, Dad," Jake said, lifting his head off the table.

"Okay then, I'm going out on the supply runs tomorrow, so let's—" Bruce started but Nancy cut him off.

"Already done. I have Danny, Jake, Buffy, Matt, and Conner for fire team and Naruto on tracking and indoor scouting since we can't get UAVs inside buildings to search for blues or survivors," she said. She then turns to Yamato, "We'll eventually add you Sai and Temari to help Naruto, but we want you to get to use to the weapons of this world first."

"That's fine," Yamato told Nancy.

"Captain Yamato can cover for me in training Konohamaru Udon and Moegi in the meantime," Naruto suggested. "I been having to take over their training since we found them."

"What the h- do y'all need me for then?" Bruce asked.

"Well, your shaved head is really sexy, Bruce," Mike said, winking at him as everyone laughed.

"I'm going upstairs to bed and get my a- kicked by a bunch of little girls and a baby boy," Bruce said, standing up and stretching.

"No, you're not, brother?" Mike told him.

"Why the h- not? Everything's done," Bruce demanded.

"Cassandra is sleeping with Susan tonight, so you and Debbie are sleeping in our bed. Nancy and I will sleep with the kids," Mike told him.

"What does Cassandra sleeping with Susan have to do with this?" Bruce asked, totally lost.

"Cassandra and Joshua sleep with us at least five times a week and has since she got here," Nancy said smiling.

"I'm her daddy after all," Mike said, smiling. That smile let Bruce know he forgave him for that.

"I told Bruce back at the Snead Farm: Mike was going to be Cassandra's main daddy," Naruto mention. "It was obvious since Mike agreed to be Cassandra's and Joshua's daddy. Just as it was for Bruce and the twins and PJ."

"Yeah, but at least Mike agreed to being Cassandra's and Joshua's main daddy," Bruce said. "The twins and PJ forced themselves on me. I didn't have much of a choice."

Everyone got up and headed to bed. Conner had to wake Jake up and get him moving. Naruto headed to David's room to find Konohamaru Moegi and Udon had decided to stay there for the night and were already sprawled across the room asleep. Naruto did not complain since the kid's rooms were design to host multiple people. Naruto found his spot and joined everyone else in the house in slumber except for Bruce and Debbie, as Debbie was helping Bruce with the wave only a spouse or people in intermate relationship can do.

A/N: Remember, this is crossover with a cannon The Nine-Tail Fox's Son, not the actual Naruto Manga series. So if you are confused about things, go back to 'The Nine-Tail Fox's Son'.

Also Carla's Mitch's and the Trooper's punishment continues in the next chapter and you see big time just how corrupted they are.
