Jay was finishing up his paperwork at the district. It was only him and Hailey left and of course Voight was still in his office.
Hailey stood up from her desk, "Righto Jay, that's me done I will catch you tomorrow?"
Hailey had been partnered up with him again since they all found out Erin was pregnant and couldn't do field work anymore. It had been a week since her and Jay had decided to continue the pregnancy, they hadn't told anyone really what had happened. Erin hadn't been at work since it all happened and everyone was worried but knew they would speak about it when they were ready.
Jay lost in thought didn't even hear Hailey say goodbye, next thing he just saw her waving her hand in-front of him, "Jay!"
Jay shook his head coming back to it, "Um yeah sorry, see you tomorrow."
"Do you want to talk about it?"
Jay nodded, "Beer?" She nodded as they both walked out agreeing they'd meet at Molly's for a drink.

Hailey slid a beer over to Jay, "We don't even have to talk about you and Erin, even if it's something to get your mind off it, I'm here."
Jay choking back his words, could barely speak, "The baby might kill her."
Hailey was shocked at the words that fell from Jays mouth, not knowing what to say she shouted to Herman to get them something stronger then beer, pouring a shot she slid it over to Jay, "I think this is what you need.
Jay downed it and started explaining everything. After Jay explained to Hailey she could feel his pain. She'd never seen him like this, she was just glad he was finally opening up about all of it.
Hailey sighed, "Jay I really don't know what to say, I'm so sorry."
Jay shrugged his shoulders, "It is what it is."
"So what happens from here?"
"Next week we go back to the doctor, find out what Erin needs to do to prevent anything from happening. We can find out the gender next week too," he said letting the tiniest smirk form on his face.
Hailey smiled, "That's really great Jay, my guess is it's going to be a little you. And god help Erin if it is." She laughed trying to put Jay in a happier mood.
Jay chuckled defensively, "Hey! What's wrong with a little me? I'm great!" He smiled and raised his glass, "Thanks Hailey I really needed this."
Hailey nudged him, "That's what partners are for."

Jay got back to the apartment to find Erin sound asleep in bed, he didn't even have the energy to shower so he just stripped down to his boxers and slid in bed wrapping his arms around her and her bump. She tossed a little bit and then embraced his presence.
