In the original anime, Naraku is 181 cm (5'11 ft) and Inuyasha is 168 cm (5'6 ft). Out of Sesshomaru, Kouga, Inuyasha, and Naraku; Inuyasha is the shortest and I find that absolutely adorable! Someone with Inuyasha's temperament picking fights and standing up with demons who are stronger and taller than him. So keep that both and Naraku's and Inuyasha's heights in mind as you read this story.

Sometime during the third month of Inuyasha's pregnancy, Naraku decided to let Inuyasha go outside for daily 'walks' as he called it. Saying that it would be good for Inuyasha and the baby if he got some fresh air and had the opportunity to move around during the day for an hour twice a day.

As much as this sounded like Naraku was beginning to care for him, Inuyasha knew that this idea of Naraku's came from the midwife during his second month of pregnancy, but Naraku being the ass he was, had decided that Inuyasha had not earned the right to go outside for walks yet.

However, for some reason during his third month of pregnancy, Naraku had decided that Inuyasha had earned that right and made it clear to Inuyasha that if he had dared try anything during those walks, he would lose the privilege to ever go on them again. This was because Inuyasha didn't have to wear chains on his walk, but still had to wear them when he came back to his dungeon of a room.

Nonetheless, as pleasant as this all sounded, the real kicker came when the one that Naraku assigned to take Inuyasha out on these walks was Kagura. That's when Inuyasha started having suspicions on the idea.

It was as if Naraku was trying to set something up. As if he knew about Kagura's and Inuyasha's talk of escape, but that couldn't be the case could it? Kagura had said that Naraku was out that day and Kanna was there in the castle with them, so how could Naraku have known. Could Kagura have been lying? Could she have been trying to trick Inuyasha through the instructions of Naraku so he could punish Inuyasha? Or could Kagura have been used as a tool against Inuyasha unknowingly?

Inuyasha didn't know. He didn't want to know for there was so much at stake here. He was in the last two months of his pregnancy, meaning he was in a very vulnerable state. Death loomed around the corner. Hence, if he tried anything during this time period and Naraku punished him, Inuyasha would surely die. The feeling of dread settled in his gut as Inuyasha rubbed his round belly. 'All I have to do is to stay out of trouble and I would be fine. I have nothing to worry about. Once my pregnancy is over, I'll have enough strength to be able to withstand any kind of punishment Naraku throws my way as I kill him and escape with my child.'

Inuyasha said to himself, causing the feeling of dread to subside for a while.

Besides these words that Inuyasha would repeat to himself to calm himself down, he knew that Naraku was secretly watching him whenever he went on his walk. Even though Inuyasha couldn't see or smell him anywhere near his walks, Inuyasha knew that the spider demon was watching. Naraku was somewhere watching Inuyasha, waiting for him to slip up and escape so he could punish the InuHanyou into death.

So each time Inuyasha went on his walk, he kept this in mind. He didn't dare try to talk to Kagura about it or about anything because for all he knew, she was in on it as well. Inuyasha couldn't trust her, he just couldn't. And for that Inuyasha developed an even deeper mistrust and hatred towards the wind sorceress.

This went on until his last month of pregnancy. Inuyasha knew that he only had a few weeks left, before he could kill Naraku and finally escape him. 'Come on.' Inuyasha thought, as he sat in his dungeon of a room. 'It's only for a little bit more before I'll be finally free of Naraku.'

A familiar demonic presence approached the room and stood outside his door. Already knowing who it was, Inuyasha shot the wind sorceress a glare full of disdain as soon as she entered.

"What's that look for?" Kagura demanded, a bit taken back by the look that the InuHanyou was giving her, before she gave him a glare of her own. "Don't tell me you don't want to go on your walk today as well?"

As she took a step towards him, Inuyasha nearly snarled at her. To be honest, Inuyasha was not feeling well these days. Instead of a few weeks like the midwife had said, he felt like he was in his final days of pregnancy. In fact ever since late last month, his walking style changed. Inuyasha didn't even know that he had a style when he walked until he found himself almost falling when he tried to walk as he previously did. So he began waddling. The midwife told him that was due to the baby dropping into his pelvis, causing his body to accommodate by changing his walk. And besides that, that wasn't the only thing that changed. Inuyasha started to relieve himself more often than he usually did, and among other things, although he could breathe easier than before, he felt pain in his pelvic area.

The midwife also told him that this meant that his body was preparing to go into labor, which explained why he was going through changes. However, despite this, he still went on his walks until two days ago when he decided that it would be better for him to stay indoors than for him to walk around in his weakened state. When Naraku came to inquire why he had declined on his walks, Inuyasha told him to mind his own goddamn business. Perhaps it was the way Inuyasha had said it, but for some reason, Naraku stood staring at Inuyasha for a few seconds with this blank and cold stare. Then ran his cold and calculating crimson eyes over Inuyasha's chained and pregnant body, before smirking. Seeing that smirk sent chills throughout Inuyasha's body and made him realize that Naraku now knew how weak he was feeling and that alone deeply bothered Inuyasha.

Inuyasha growled and continued to glare at Kagura. "Why? Does it bother you Kagura? Aren't you relieved that you don't have to keep watching over me for an hour?"

Stopping in her tracks, Kagura stood still looking at Inuyasha with eyes narrowed in suspicion. "Are you suspecting me of something half breed?" Inuyasha remained silent but kept his glare on her.

It was a silent glaring match the two had engaged in and it didn't look like neither was going to give up soon.

Kagura growled in annoyance, "This is ridiculous Inuyasha. We shouldn't be fighting each other. We should be coming up with a plan for you to escape!"

"And I'm saying that I don't want your help!" Inuyasha shot back, "Besides, why the sudden change of heart? Didn't you say that you wouldn't help me if I were to come up with a plan later on?"

At this Kagura growled but pursed her lips. This caught Inuyasha's attention as his glare against her intensified.

"There's been a change of plans." Kagura finally said, looking to the side as she spoke.

"Oh was there?" Inuyasha sneered. "Was this before or after you told Naraku what we talked about?"

It was as if Kagura knew this was coming, she closed her eyes as she took a deep breath. "So that's what this is about."

"Was there another reason?" Inuyasha sneered, "Look Kagura, I don't know what in the hell ever possessed me to believe you for even the slightest second, but trust me it won't happen again."

"What if I told you that I didn't tell Naraku what we talked about?" Kagura asked, her eyes now open and calmer than she was before.

"I'm not in the mood to play mind games Kagura." Inuyasha growled, "For course you told Naraku, otherwise how else would he have known?!"

"He may have been watching us." Kagura said, "Originally before I left to go and talk to you that day, I had checked on Kanna to make sure she was still in the castle. Even though I saw Kanna in her room, that one was probably a fake one, while the real Kanna was somewhere else in the castle communicating with Naraku. The question is how. How was she doing this?"

Inuyasha watched Kagura as she tried to think of a way to answer her own question, before he said, "Let's say that this is true. Then how then did you know that Naraku knew of our talk?"

"Although he didn't question me about it, it's the way he decided to allow you to go outside for walks unchained with only myself to watch you and nobody else." Kagura said, "I also found it strange that he suddenly decided to do this a little bit after our talk during the same month."

Even though Inuyasha didn't like the wind sorceress, the idea of her being unknowingly used as a tool did cross his mind. Inuyasha pondered on this for a few minutes, before Kagura said.

"We can't stay here anymore. Let's go outside and get you away from Naraku."

"What?!" Inuyasha said as he growled, "What in the hell makes you think I'm stepping foot outside must less with you. I'm not going anywhere!"

"Inuyasha. Listen here you stubborn fool!" Kagura shot back, "Naraku is planning something. I don't know what it is but he's planning to—"

"I'll tell you what he's planning." Inuyasha said, not caring if he interrupted the wind sorceress, "If I take one foot outside with the intention to escape, Naraku will kill me! So I refuse to give him that satisfaction and would rather wait until after I give birth, that way I'll have enough strength to fight him."

"Inuyasha, if Naraku really wanted to kill you don't you think he would've done so already?" Kagura pointed out, "And think about it if Naraku was watching us that day, don't you think he already knows of your escape plan and has a way to combat that?!"

Inuyasha had to admit the wind sorceress had a good point. There was nothing stopping Naraku from killing him right here and now. Hell, Naraku could've ended Inuyasha's life two days ago when he came to inquire about why Inuyasha had decided against the walk that day. 'So if that's the case, what is Naraku planning?' Inuyasha thought, 'What is he waiting for? What's stopping him?'

Suddenly a cold chill ran through Inuyasha's body as it dawned on him as to what Naraku was possibly planning. 'He couldn't be could he… He's planning to finish me off after I give birth!'

Seeing the the dawn of shock and terror on the InuHanyou's face, Kagura said, "Now you see why we have to get you out of here today?"

The wind sorceress walked over to the InuHanyou and used the key to release the chains on Inuyasha's body. "It's not safe here. We need to leave now!"

Hesitantly, Inuyasha nodded and put his hands on the wall to steady himself as he stood up.

"Can you move?" Kagura asked, watching as the InuHanyou nodded in response.

"But I don't think I can run in this state without falling." Inuyasha said.

Kagura seemed to have expected this and said, "It's alright, we can use my feather to take us where we're going. Even though we don't know where to put you, anywhere is better than here. Don't you agree?" Watching as Inuyasha nodded in response, but then hesitated in moving forward.

Inuyasha stayed by his place on the wall, using it to keep his balance, "Why are you helping me Kagura? I keep thinking about the reason you gave last time, but all I can think is how beneficial it would be for you to try to lead me on or for you to stay out of this and not defy Naraku. Aren't you afraid that Naraku will kill you if you help me?"

"To be honest, that did cross my mind when I decided to help you, but I know Naraku won't kill me." Kagura said, "The highest he'll do is punish me, but not kill me. I have come close to betraying him a few times before, but all he's ever done is punish me and then threaten me against doing it again. And when I think about it, there's nothing stopping him from killing me. So why hasn't he done so yet? To me that can only mean that he must have some use for me. That alone gives me the courage to help you." Turning away from the InuHanyou to face the door. "And like I said before the only reason why I have decided to help you this one time, is because it's strange seeing you like this Inuyasha. I'm not used to seeing you so controlled by Naraku."

"I see." Inuyasha said, removing his hands from the wall as he felt balanced enough to walk on his own. " Then what are we waiting for? Let's go."

"Yeah, but we'll pretend that we're just going out for a walk just like we always have done. Then we will use my feather to escape. If Naraku shows up, I'll attack him and give you enough wind so you could escape with my feather without me." Kagura said.

Inuyasha nodded, "Thank you Kagura. I'll never forget your kindness to me even after I doubted you."

"Don't worry about it half breed." Kagura said," Let's just go and remember the plan."

As if they were going on his daily walk, Inuyasha and Kagura calmly headed towards the exit of the castle that reached outside. Once they were outside, Inuyasha and Kagura walked along the usual path that Inuyasha took, before walking into the forest. They did this to find cover among the trees from any monitoring eyes if there were any.

"Alright." Kagura said, looking around once more as she walked an area that looked protected and opened enough to fly out from. "I think we're in the clear. Let's—"

"Where do you two think you're going?" The voice of their worst fears spoke, causing the wind sorceress and the InuHanyou to freeze in their tracks.

Inuyasha and Kagura both turned around to see the spider demon standing right a few feet behind them as if he had always been there.

'But how?' Kagura thought, as she gripped her fan, 'I didn't see or sense him anywhere near me. Did he use a—'

Before Kagura could finish that thought, The scent of blood caught her attention as she heard the cry, "BLADES OF BLOOD!"

Suddenly, crimson crescent-like blades flew towards Naraku before being deflected by the spider demon's barrier.

Naraku looked unsurprised and unbothered by the sudden attack and kept his eyes solely focused on Inuyasha. Kagura, followed Naraku's gaze and saw the wounds that the InuHanyou had inflicted on himself fresh on his arm as Inuyasha took deep breaths. As if he expected that from the InuHanyou.

Keeping his cold and calculating crimson eyes fixated on the InuHanyou, Naraku took a step towards him as Inuyasha immediately took a step back. Unbothered by the InuHanyou's actions, Naraku took another step towards him and watch as Inuyasha took another step back.

Fed up with how quickly her plan failed, Kagura opened her fan with the intention to call forth her, 'Dance of the blade,' attack on the spider demon.

However, before Kagura could do so, Naraku suddenly directed his attention at her and held out his hand. Immediately, in his hand appeared a small oval shaped ball that was the same color as a bloodied flesh. The ball was surrounded by demonic aura and did not cease in its beating, as if it was alive.

Immediately Kagura froze in her attack. She knew damn well what Naraku was about to do to her. And she knew that she would be a damn fool if she never expected him to use that against her.

"Inuyasha!" Kagura called out to the InuHanyou besides her, "Use this chance to run away. Don't waste your breath on me!"

"Forget it Kagura!" Inuyasha told her as he remained where he stood. "I'm not leaving you. If we die, we die together. I'll be damned if I run away like some coward who lets some woman do his fighting for him!"

Before Kagura could respond to that, she felt her heart being squeezed by some invisible strong force. She grunted out in pain as she directed her attention back to Naraku who looked at her coldly and squeezed her beating heart in his hand without mercy.

Kagura cried out as she collapsed to the floor with her own hand clutching her chest. Kagura tried to take deep breaths to lessen the pain as she took a feather from her hair ornament and threw it beside her. Hoping to the Gods that it landed towards Inuyasha and tried to summon enough winds to carry Inuyasha out of here, despite the amount of pain she felt.

However, Naraku seeing this, used his tentacle-like appendages to pierce through the feather—completely destroying it before it grew large enough to carry the InuHanyou out of there. His grip on the wind sorceress's heart tightened, causing said woman to scream out in pain.

"Inuyasha!" Kagura cried out, "Run!"

Inuyasha shook his head and reached towards his bloodied arm. Naraku, seeing this, immediately moved toward the InuHanyou faster than anyone could blink, and used his free hand to grabbed the other's bloodied arm.

Surprised at how fast the spider demon moved towards him, Inuyasha tried to take his arm back from the Spider demon. "Let go of me you bastard!" Inuyasha yet as he tried to pull his arm away, "Let g—"

Before Inuyasha could finish, a sudden wave of pain came over him as he felt a gush of warm liquid leak from between his legs. Inuyasha made a sound that expressed this change, as he used his free hand to grip his pregnant belly. "...Som...Something is not right...S-Something has Happened...Ah!"

Seeing this, Naraku released his grip on Inuyasha's bloodied arm and watched as the InuHanyou used it to hold his pregnant belly.

With both hands now on his belly, Inuyasha fell to his knees as he tried to reduce the waves of pain he was feeling by taking deep breaths.

"The baby…" Inuyasha said in between breaths, "I think it's coming out!...Ah!"

"I suspected as much." Naraku said, as he released his grip on the wind sorceress's heart and allowed the organ to disappear into his hand. "All this commotion has pushed you into induced labor."

"Who..Whose fault do you think that is, you bastard?!..." Inuyasha tried to growl out in between his deep breaths. As Naraku took another step towards him, Inuyasha tried using one of his hands to stop the spider demon from moving any closer, before he was hit with another wave of pain.

"Ahh! Stay back!..." Inuyasha called out, taking deep breaths as he brought his hand back to hold his round belly, "Sta...Stay away from me!"

Ignoring the protests of the InuHanyou, Naraku took another step forward, bent down and scooped Inuyasha up into his arms—much to the other's surprise and annoyance.

"N-No!..." Inuyasha cried out in Naraku's arms as he gripped the spider demon's armor"...Let me go…Don't touch me!..."

"If I do that, how will you ever expect to give birth to this child? On the ground where you just were with no midwife?" Naraku simply stated, keeping his cold yet calm crimson's eyes on the InuHanyou in his arms."Or did you even think that far?"

"...Shut up!..."Inuyasha shot back, trying not to shut his eyes during the waves that he was feeling. "If you hadn't...Ah! Ahh! Ahhh! My chest…It hurts." Inuyasha cried out, feeling his chest tighten.

Inuyasha released the grip that one of his hands had on Naraku's armour to hold his own tightening chest. Inuyasha did this as he continued taking deep breaths.

Looking unbothered by the actions of the InuHanyou in his arms, Naraku just simply turned around to face the barely recovering wind sorceress and said, "Kagura, go and fetch the healer and Midwife. Tell them that Inuyasha is in labor." Seeing that the wind sorceress was still on the ground trying to steady her own heart beat, Naraku callously demanded, "Go and do this quickly!"

Kagura shot Naraku a glare of clear disdain, as she cautiously got up from the ground and took out a feather from her hair ornament.

Naraku watched as the wind sorceress got on the suddenly enlarged feather and flew off in the direction that he had directed her to go.

And so with the InuHanyou in his arms, Naraku began to walk back to the castle.

Inuyasha had been in labor for twelve hours. From the time he had started his contractions to the time he was on a futon trying his best to push the baby out, he had quickly noticed how fast the sky had turned dark outside. Although it felt like he had been trying to push the baby out forever, the rest of the world appeared like time was going fast for them. Inuyasha wished that it could be the same for him, so he could be freed from the excruciating waves of pain he was experiencing.

As the child's head finally appeared at his female entrance, Inuyasha felt like he was burning down there. As he cried this out, the midwife just told him to continue pushing. Bearing this sensation, Inuyasha just continued to push and push for what seemed like an eternity, until finally the baby was completely out.

Once the baby was out of him, all Inuyasha wanted to do was to hold his child. "...Let me see...Let me see my baby…" Inuyasha cried out with fatigue clear on his features. However, as he attempted to reach towards his child in the Midwife's arms, Naraku took the baby away from the woman. "Na...Naraku…"

Locking eyes with his captor's merciless blank eyes, terror and dread filled Inuyasha's chest as he feared the worse. Surely Naraku wouldn't...He really wouldn't…

Inuyaha's fears were confirmed as he felt a small wave of electricity run through him as if it was warning him of what was to come.

Tears began to build up in Inuyasha's eyes, as he began to shake his head, "No please Naraku...let me hold my baby...let me hold my baby…"

Suddenly feelings of terror, heartbreak, loneliness and loss filled Inuyasha's chest as the desires and wishes of what he wanted for his child began to fill his mind. He wanted to be there when his child said its first word, took its first crawl, its first steps, smiled, laughed, cried. Even now hearing his child cry out caused his heart to ache out in so much pain, all Inuyasha wanted to do was to hold it in his arms and wipe the tears away from his child's face.

Hell, Inuyasha didn't even know what the gender of his child was.

"Naraku, please...please don't do this… don't do this!" Inuyasha begged, shaking his head at not only how cruel the spider demon was being to him, but life in general. Ever since he was born. "I'll do anything...anything!"

"Anything?" Naraku said, as if the idea was even foreign to him to begin with. Inuyasha felt like someone had stabbed his own heart with a sword as the spider demon tightened his hold around the crying child in his arms.

"Yes, anything!" Inuyasha begged, his vision going blurry from the tears that stained his eyes.

Naraku seemed to ponder this for a moment, before a cold smirk appeared on his face.

"Swear it." Naraku said, taking amusement of the look of desperation that reflected on the InuHanyou's face. "Swear your loyalty to me and I shall let you live to watch our child grow up into an adult."

Without hesitation, Inuyasha cried out, "I swear!" Pushing his pride to the side as he spoke out of desperation, "I swear on my life that I will be loyal to you and only you if you allow me to be with my child as it grows into an adult."

"Don't you mean our child, Inuyasha?" Naraku sneered, enjoying the look of conflict that reflected on the InuHanyou's face. "The child was born of our union and without my constant care while you were being reckless with his life, he would be dead."

So it was a boy. Inuyasha felt even more tears swell up in his eyes, as memories of how coldly he treated his child during the first month of his pregnancy filled his mind.

With regret filling his heart, Inuyasha nodded, "Yes. Our child."

"As a part of your loyalty to me, you will give me and me only, access to your body and you will not fight me on it. Am I understood?" Naraku continued, enjoying the look of defeat on the InuHanyou's features.

"Yes." Inuyasha answered.

"And if you so much try to escape just one time, the deal will be off and I will kill you right there and then. Am I understood?" Inuyasha nodded, as Naraku added, "Do we have a deal?"

"Yes." Inuyasha cried out, beginning to sob as he nodded his head over and over again. "Yes. We have a deal. Now will you please let me hold our child?!"

As if that was all Inuyasha had to say, Naraku simply handed the InuHanyou the baby in his arms.

Despite being in his mother's arms, the child cried and cried. He moved his little body around in his mother's arms as he tried to make sense of where he was.

Seeing this, Inuyasha smiled as he began saying words of comfort to the child in his arms. "That's okay my child, my sweet child, papa's got you. Papa's got you. You're safe now." Inuyasha spoke these words as he began to lick the baby clean from the birth fluid that covered his body.

As soon as Inuyasha spoke these words and began cleaning the baby's body, the baby's cries died down as he slowly began opening his eyes. Small crimson eyes met warm large amber golden eyes.

Then, as if in a trance, the baby lifted up his pudgy little hand and touched Inuyasha's face and left his hand there—taking in the feel of his mother.

"My sweet child, did you want to see papa? Did you want to see papa?" Inuyasha asked in a softer tone of his usual voice.

They stayed like that for a few more seconds, before the baby began to cry again and leaned his head on the exposed chest of his mother. Inuyasha whispered softly into the baby's ears, as he gently rubbed the baby on the back. Inuyasha continued in his ministrations until the child's cries died down. The midwife and healer both began to wipe down Inuyasha's body avoiding the baby in the InuHanyou'a arms.

Observing the scene before him, Naraku remained still for a few moments before taking the soft whispering as his cue to leave. Naraku didn't even look back as he walked out of the room and slid the door close. As he began to walk down the corridor, he stopped as he sensed the presence of one of his incarnations behind him.

"How intriguing," Naraku spoke, his tone colder than before, "I was just thinking of the little stunt you two pulled just awhile ago." Turning around to face the wind sorceress, "I have yet to thank you for that." Naraku said, a wicked smile appearing on his features.

"I knew it!" Kagura growled, "Somehow Kanna showed you what Inuyasha and I were talking about that day. Instead of punishing us directly over it, you used it to your advantage to allow the fear that Inuyasha had of you to grow to the point where he would be too scared to run away when the opportunity came up. And the reason why neither Inuyasha nor I couldn't sense you in the forest earlier was because you used a spell that concealed your scent and presence from us."

"My, my…" Naraku said, his smirk never leaving his face, "Look at you using that head of yours to think. You are my incarnation after all. Now thanks to that fear, I now have Inuyasha's undying loyalty. I must say, I owe it all to you Kagura. Had you not visited Inuyasha that day, I don't believe the fear of punishment would've been embedded so deeply in Inuyasha as it did now."

"That fear caused him to go into an induced labor!" Kagura growled, "If he had any more of that feeling, the birth would've been a difficult one!"

"And that was what the healer was for. After all, it was a small price to pay for the sweet reward I got in return." Naraku said as he turned to leave. "Now if you excuse me, I have something that I would like to wash off." Referring to the birth fluid that remained on him while he held his child, before giving him over to the InuHanyou.

Staring at her master in astonishment, Kagura just stood still in the corridor as she watched Naraku continue to walk down the hall until he turned the corner.

Finally getting rid of the birth fluid from his clothes and hands, Naraku headed back into the room where his captive and his child were in. Upon entering, he was greeted by the sight of his child's mouth latched on one of Inuyasha's voluptuous breasts. Inuyasha made a soft sound after a particularly hard suck, as the child drank the milk that his mother had to offer him.

As if finally noticing his presence, Inuyasha greeted Naraku with a warm smile that adored his tired yet flushed face. A bit taken back by the warm smile, Naraku's eyes slightly widened in surprise as he found himself stuck frozen at the door of the room. A blank expression settling back on his face, Naraku immediately snapped himself out of his stupor and walked towards the nursing InuHanyou.

Naraku continued to walk until his body towered over Inuyasha's body. Upon closer inspection, Naraku noticed how the InuHanyou's lower body remained flat on the futon, while his upper body was propped up by pillows.

As Naraku continued to observe the body under him, the voice of his captive brought him out of his thoughts.

"Have you decided on a name for him yet Naraku?" Inuyasha said, his eyes still gazing softly on the nursing baby in his arms. "The name for our child?"

An unknown feeling came over Naraku, as one of his hands twitched once right after those words left the InuHanyou's mouth. Naraku brushed that feeling off and smirked. "Oh? You mean you haven't given him a name yet? Why in heavens' name did you not do that?"

"I just knew that if I did, it would upset you," Inuyasha said, fatigue clear in his voice. "So what should be his name? The name of—"

"Our child?" Naraku finished for the other, causing Inuyasha to look up with annoyance clear on his features. It was then that Naraku decided that it pleased him immensely whenever Inuyasha referred to the child as their child. It was like winning a hard and long-fought battle. And Naraku believed that he well deserved this victory. "Hmm… I don't know. Calling the boy, 'Our child,' has a nice sound, don't you agree Inuyasha?"

Naraku's smirk widened even more at the look that Inuyasha shot him. He enjoyed that look. "Oh? You don't like that name? Why not?"

"He needs a real name, Naraku." Inuyasha growled, saying the other's name with such hatred—not that Naraku minded off course. The entire situation just amused the spider demon immensely. "Not a name that sounds like his father was too lazy to give him."

"Oh, Is that so?" Naraku said in feign concern, as he then crouched down on one knee to the InuHanyou's level and pretended to be in thought. "Then how about Sekichou?"

"Sekichou?" Inuyasha repeated, testing the words on his lips as he pondered on the name, "As in 'Tesshin Sekichou' meaning 'Iron will?'"

"Yes." Naraku said, watching as Inuyasha nodded in agreement. "Since our son had such an iron will into being born. It's a fitting name for him."

Inuyasha nodded in agreement once more before a warm smile graced his features, "Did you hear that my little child? You have a name now, it's Sekichou. Se-Ki-Chou."

Sekichou continued to suck on the voluptuous breast, as if he didn't hear the name that had been given to him. Inuyasha made a soft sound of amusement.

"Sei-chan" Inuyasha said to the oblivious child in his arms, the warm smile never leaving his face.

Naraku watched the scene for a few more seconds before standing back up and made his way to the door. Naraku reached for the door slot, but was stopped when he heard the other call out to him.

"Naraku, even though I hate to say it." He heard Inuyasha say, "If you hadn't stopped me from killing our son, I wouldn't have known the joy of holding him in my arms."

Naraku remained where he stood, but turned to look back at the InuHanyou who only greeted him with that same tender smile that welcomed him into the room earlier. Naraku was surprised, but unlike before, he didn't allow it to show on his face.

"Even if your desire to keep me alive is for selfish purposes," Inuyasha continued, "I still appreciate being alive. Thank you Naraku."

Feeling enthralled by those last words and the tender gaze of the InuHanyou, Naraku remained where he was for a few seconds more as if time had held him captive there. It was only when Naraku felt his hand return to his side from where it used to be on the door slot, did he snap himself out of the daze, slid the door open, and left the room without looking back.

As Naraku walked down the corridor, he saw the midwife. He was about to walk past the woman before a sudden thought entered his mind.

"Midwife," Naraku said, stopping in front of said woman, "Take the child away from Inuyasha. He seems to be tired, so let him rest for a while."

"Oh yes my lord," the midwife agreed, "After a day like what that poor creature had, the first thing he should do is take a rest. I was just on my way to do just that, before you told me."

"Then I should let you go on your way," Naraku said, watching as the midwife gave a quick bow to him before she turned around, and walked towards the room where the InuHanyou was. Naraku stood where he was in the hall until he watched the midwife enter the room. Then Naraku turned around and went his way down the hall.

As Naraku walked, the image of Inuyasha's warm gaze towards him appeared again in his mind. 'Inuyasha,' Naraku thought, 'You say that you're thankful that I kept you alive for the sake of our child, but I wonder if you knew the things that I have planned, would you still be grateful to me or would you wish for death?'

As if the thought of what the InuHanyou would say at the spider demon's thoughts amused him, Naraku smirked, 'I guess I would have to wait and see. After all, they say patience does a person good.' Naraku mused as he turned the corridor of the hallway, and walked into the connecting hall that was shrouded in nothing but complete darkness.

Please read...

Why was Inuyasha's pregnancy so short compared to a human woman's? Well, it's because he's a dog demon. In real life, female dogs are generally pregnant for three months, but I wanted Inuyasha to be pregnant for a little while more since he is also half-human. So in this story and any of the Inuyasha stories that I write that have mpreg in it, Inuyasha is only pregnant for five months.

I was also inspired by a Sessinu author who kept make Inuyasha's pregnancy three months. I read her stories in my younger years, so I forgot her name and I can't seem to find her, but I'm sure she's still out there.

So in case, you're confused, when Inuyasha was three months pregnant he looked like he was almost six months (in appearance). At five months, he looked like he was nine months (in appearance.)

On to the next point, Naraku used a powerful spell that covered his presence and scent from Kagura and Inuyasha. Normally, in my stories, only strong demons have the power to naturally do that, but Naraku was able to do so only through a powerful dark spell. This is not a spell that anybody can do, it's a dark spell and that is tricky to do.

In the anime, I think Naraku does something similar like this, which may be why Inuyasha and the other can't find him most of the time unless he either allows them to or he slips up. This is just a theory that I'm using to my advantage.

The next few chapters are what I have been waiting to write since I created this story. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and this story.

I thank everyone who has reviewed the last chapter. I loved reading them. And as always reviews are appreciated.

See you next chapter!
