Basikov saw the Palantir light up. Sauron said "Before your big battle we will need you in an important meeting in Minas Morgul."

Basikov and Dorwen take off on the Fell Beast and head straight to Minas Morgul. The Witch King said "Our final representatives have arrived."

"Sit down" the Witch King said. "Sauron fears an alliance of the free peoples, and that is why I have summoned all of you to join the alliance. Even if they form an alliance, we will have ours to hit back with."

Basikov, the Easterlings and Haradrims (two evil men groups) agreed to join the alliance.

The representative of the Corsairs said "I am not so sure."

The Witch King threw a bag of coins and said "I think, We are all in agreement. Basikov, I would like to see you now."

While Basikov was focused on war against the elves, he had Dorwen build diplomatic ties to allies of Sauron. In terms of building direct ties with Mordor, Dorwen often met up with the Mouth of Sauron, Sauron's top lieutenant who was also present at the current meeting to represent Mordor, to discuss ties. In addition to elven loot from Mirkwood, one major thing that prevented North Barrow Downs from succumbing to the pressures of its neighbors were the relations with Sauron's allies. Basikov may have been a symbol of liberation to North Barrow Downs, but his success in Mirkwood, inspired other allies like the Haradrim. The North built close military ties in secret with other forces of Sauron. Groups such as the Haradrim, Easterlings, and even elite Orc groups received weapons and training from the North often via high ranking Madaw commanders. In return the North was able to achieve items such as food and benefited from the deals.

The two walked off. Basikov asked "Has the time come?"

The Witch King said "Yes it has. These elves are significantly weaker but without your previous battles, you wouldn't be able to obliterate them. You may commence the attack." Basikov and Dorwen leave Minas Morgul.

Basikov directs some soldiers to attack the border. They start firing at the elven guards. The battle has begun.

Gildor, leader of South Barrow Downs, tells his advisors "The end is coming. I fear a New Age coming."

The Barrow Wights enter the south, overwhelming the elven soldiers. Gildor shouts "Bring in the archers." The archers shoot down some soldiers, but there are still too many of them. "Hold your ground" he says. The war was on.

Meanwhile, Aragorn and the rangers sneak into North Barrow Downs and finds the palace. However, one ranger makes a misstep and the Barrow Wight watching hears it and four guards begin to attack. Two rangers were slain and now Aragorn and the other four rush into the window. As Aragorn and the rangers enter they are noticed by more Barrow Wights, and two other guards died along the way up.

Basikov told Dorwen "Dorwen, we have company."

Aragorn finds the door, where Basikov is. Aragorn bursts into the door and bisects Dorwen.

Basikov says "Guards, take him out."

Aragorn takes on both at once. He slashes the first one in the ribcage, and knocks the other down on the ground.

The rangers see Basikov and said "This one is ours." Basikov pulls out his scythe and stuns this one before slashing him across the chest as he grabbed the other by the throat

Aragorn says "Let him go you filth, you are so scared of facing me that you send your minions to take care of your enemies."

Basikov throws the dead ranger to the side and says in a calm voice "All you have done is give me time to study your sword fighting techniques, Aragorn, Son of Arathorn." "I realize that the two of us are quite the opposite. I was born into nothing and became leader. You were born of nobility, but avoid the heritage. It really isn't me who is the coward."

Aragorn rushes angrily to Basikov, but Basikov dodges the slash. Basikov says while the two clash swords "You know, you are skilled elven hunter when they need a non-elf to do their dirty work."

Basikov and Aragorn continue to exchange sword blows. Eventually, Basikov gets knocked down. However, this is part of Basikov's plan. He attempts his "Death Jump" on Aragorn like he did in Mirkwood.

Aragorn misses the slash by mere inches, but kicks Basikov in the shoulder armor. Basikov loses some of his stamina. Aragorn grabs him by the neck and pins him against a wall.

He puts a sword against Basikov's throat and says "After all the heinous acts you have committed, there is very little, that makes me want to spare you. However, if you call off the war, and surrender yourself over and I will spare you."

Basikov says rhetorically "And you really think the elves would spare me. They will just occupy and oppress the Barrow Wights with me gone."

Aragorn feels frustrated with Basikov and cuts off his knife finger. He says "Listen now, it was you and the Barrow Wights that committed slaughter against the elves. Don't think I won't just finish you here."

Basikov notices that the knocked out guard is getting back up. He says to Aragorn "Who is that?"

Basikov slips through the grip as Aragorn slashes down the other bodyguard. Basikov took off his helmet and threw it at Aragorn stunning him as he ran off with his scythe. His hair was still greasy black but his eyes were of red pupils. Aragorn may have Basikov weakened, but Basikov knows his place better. Aragorn followed the skeleton up to the top. Below them was the Fell Beast pen.

The two begin to exchange blows. Basikov tells Aragorn "By the time you finish me, there will only be one Barrow Downs." Basikov proceeded to cut Aragorn with his sharp feet. They were not lethal, but painful.

Aragorn said "This for my love Arwen" as he slashed at the scythe.

Aragorn said "This for Mirkwood" as he slashed at the scythe again.

"And this is for all the innocent you have slain" said Aragorn as he gave a kick and made a stomp onto a weak spot of the palace roof which caused Basikov and a piece of the roof to fall.

The rubble impaled the Fell Beast. However Aragorn, will not let the Barrow Wight attempt any crafty escape. Aragorn rushed down to the carnage area.

Basikov had survived the fall. He said to Aaragorn "Come here I must ask you something." Aragorn understandably felt skeptic towards his foe's attitude, but realized that Basikov's scythe was at his feet, and the enemy was almost certainly weakened.

Basikov said once again "Come here" as he was laying on some fallen rubble. As Aragorn got close. The Wight said something so shocking that Aragorn was in disbelief.

"What is it like to feel love and companionship towards someone?" said the skeleton with severely cracked bones.

Aragorn shocked, said "It gives you motivation to continue on and have something to look forward to in life. It gives you a sense to keep on going even in the worst moments of your life."

Basikov gave with a faint week smile "It is not being used and thrown around? While he thought about how he was used by Aowyna. "If only I were given at least one chance. Somehow I knew it was going to end like this, alone in darkness."

Basikov neck was now lifeless holding his head back. Aragorn felt pity towards the dead leader. For Basikov was robbed of all chances of love and companionship, and was harmed so much that he was guided down the wrong path. Aragorn closed Basikov's eyes and now the Colonel of North Barrow Downs will remain asleep.

Basikov was dead, but finding another general could mean the end of the war. Aragorn looks for a Barrow Wight with multiple guards, but so far he has only found weaker guards than Basikov's top bodyguards.

Aragorn hears some voices upstairs. He hides in a room near Basikov's main room. He hears Lareneg speaks to some of his guards.

Lareneg says "Basikov will be most pleased with the news that we have captured the majority of the South."

Aragorn jumps out and knocks down the guards. He pins down Lareneg down and asks "Would you like it for yourself and your lands to survive.?"

Lareneg "What do you mean? Basikov will win this war anyways."

Aragorn says "Well, you may win, but Basikov won't know."

Lareneg has figured out that Aragorn has slain Basikov and says begrudgingly "What is the deal?"

Aragorn angrily says "Remove all Barrow Wights from the south, end all public support for Basikov, and disband the military."

Lareneg says "I understand what you want, but if you make some of these things happen. I will be killed and you may not care about that, but my successor is most likely going to continue the legacy of Basikov. Plus Basikov's large support, will only get most Barrow Wights to support my removal. So why don't you listen to my offer?"

Aragorn asks "Ok what is it?"

Lareneg says "I will declare peace with the South and withdraw the army. I will release all the Mirkwood prisoners with you, Is that fair?"

Aragorn says "Very well, it may not be perfect, but it will have to do."
