Warning: this specific chapter has a minor canon spoilers for the Kyoshi novels, especially the second one "Shadow of Kyoshi". I will make a chapter summary on the next chapter for those who wants to skip this one. Enjoy.

Climbing upon the ladders to clean the individual sections of the shelves, Satchiko coughed loudly as some of the flying dust managed to enter her system. It was a rather devitalizing task, but one she is willing to complete at all cost. This section of the building has always been old and dusty, and it deserves a clean despite it is only morning for her.

"Thank you for helping me," the old Akira said while sweeping the floors with a broom stick. "The school never properly used this room before, we might as well make more space for the books," She said in an amicable tone.

Akira has been a teacher here for more than a two decades. Ever since Hakaru proposed the construction of a school on the island, the old lady has always been a firm supporter of this project. Like many others, her belief is that the island can further improve itself through education.

"You don't need to thank us, we were only passing by and saw that you needed help" Mayumi responded in a cordial manner, she moved the boxes of junk to one single pile at the outside the room. "We thought you could finish the job faster if we do it too."

"Well, I am still grateful for you youngsters to help an old lady out," Akira responded. "My old bones can't handle that much strength as it used to."

After completing her part of the task, Mayumi wiped the sweat on her forehead, she made sure to use the soft side of her arm to avoid the metal parts of her armor. Despite the armor is made for lightness and mobility, it is definitely not a good idea to accidentally scratch it against your skin.

Satchiko slided down the ladder, "The shelves are done!" the energized tone only reflected relief that the daunting task is finally over.

They all assessed the progress they made with the cleaning, and it was splendid. The entire room is now spotless, and the previously dust and spiderwebs are now gone.

"We should go now, I don't want to be late there," Satchiko eagerly suggested.

"I know, but there's no need to rush it." Mayumi directed. "The meeting won't end anytime soon, we can take our time."

Akira rest the broom stick against the wall, she marveled at how clean the room is. Although satisfied by their hard work, she is already feeling rather tired from all the choirs. Looking at the two girls chatting about what they will do for the rest of day reminded her own younger self. However, to her both of them resemble someone she knew. She put on her glasses again to take another good look, then it hit her.

"You know, you both look very similar to your predecessors," Akira said out of the blue, while begin clean her dusty glasses with a small piece of cloth she pulled out from her pocket. "You Satchiko, look almost identical to your great grandmother!"

"Very?" Satchiko said. "How so?" she and Mayumi never even had the chance to meet their grand parents. Therefore, she doesn't know what her great grand parents look like. Although by logic, Akira should be more knowledgeable, as the old lady is at least 60 at this point. She definitely would have met Satchiko's great grand mother at some point.

"Well, I guess it's because that brown hair runs in the family," Akita's voice said as she chuckled a little bit. "But I won't delay you any longer, we should had tea next time!" she said in an almost cheerful way.

Not entirely sure what to make out of the old lady's words, Satchiko respectfully left the school with her older sister. The path they had to travel was a rather long one.

Akira watched them leave while leaning on the front porch's wooden fence, she didn't have the chance to prepare some tea for them this time. The two young girls gradually became two tiny dots, becoming more difficult to see from her old glasses. "It sure is good being young, well, my own fighting days are over," she said. She then proceeded back into the school with little chuckle, possibly reminiscing some past memory.

The temple, where the meeting is held, is situated on the highest mountain of Kyoshi island. It's rather difficult to see it from below depending on which point on the island you are looking from. The temple itself often held some degree of secrecy. While it is said to be used for training Kyoshi warriors, interestingly, Satchiko herself never even went up there. Her own training has always been on natural grounds or one of the smaller dojos in the her own village. Despite all of this, Satchiko is aware that the temple served a higher purpose than simply training fighters. With the island containing multiple villages and Kyoshi warrior groups, a certain place must be used to conduct high important meetings that will determine the future of this island. The temple's secluded location allows the meeting to be more guarded, which makes any potential ear droppers taking extra steps in order to infiltrate the meeting.

The duo walked for a while before they stopped at what appeared to be a giant ruin, while Satchiko have never been to this part of the island frequently, this very location is well known to every long time inhabitants of Kyoshi island. It's location is also near the very path leading to the temple.

The ruin is a rubble of stone and earth, organized in formation of what appeared to be a once miniature city. It's foundation of the outer wall still subtly resemble a perfect square, and different sections of the ruins implied there were even training grounds built. Due to this massive structure being built and destroyed over 500 years ago, it's shape and form resembles nothing from what the painting, calligraphy or history books depicted. The very building Satchiko saw in her history books when she was just six years old was no where this depressing to look at. However, this ruin before her and Mayumi can already be considered an archaeological site. Despite this structure is now unusable, it's destruction did not prompt the villagers to just remove the ruin entirely and built something anew. This is because even if the original structure is barely recognizable, they knew what this structure is, or at least what it once was.

Avatar Mansion

The Mansion built by the Earth Sage, Jianzhu.

The Mansion where 'Avatar' Yun lived, trained and refined for his Avatar duties.

The Mansion where Kyoshi worked, cooked and cleaned when she was just a servant.

Finally, the Mansion that both Yun and Kyoshi destroyed in their last finale battle.

Many don't very know the specific details, or what very happened behind the walls of this once giant mansion that triggered the fighting. The villagers may never know the full truth, other than the fact that the fight between Kyoshi and Yun is considered more of a tragedy rather than a heroic triumph over evil.

"You know Satchiko, Kyoshi may be the one you look up to, but maybe not the someone you should mimic entirely," Mayumi commented as they both observed the site, she knew everyone on this island hold the founder to a high regard. "You know what I meant, right sister?"

"Yeah," Satchiko quietly replied, it's as though she doesn't want anyone else to hear their conversation. Even though there's no one else living in the proximity. "I'm just glad we don't have to live through same thing like Kyoshi did, not yet at least..."

This very site gave mixed feeling to different people. While no tourists would bother themselves to visit a ruin like this, to the islanders it is a place that is semi-important to their history, even if no one what to talk about it.

"We should be going now," Mayumi reminded Satchiko, they both turned backward and continued their journey towards the mountain. Satchiko slightly turned her head back while walking, she stole a tiny glance at the ruin. It was only just a glance, yet she couldn't help herself to not look at it again.

-After a while...

Their walk took a long time. She didn't know how the adults are able to get up that early in the morning and reach the highest point of this island. Satchiko is starting to feel a little tired from the walk, which might be due to her unfamiliarity with the ground she is stepping on. The dirt path isn't like the flat gravel path back in town, it's rough and uneven. Although the girl did often rush to her training, which was occasionally held in the wilderness. The distance from her own house and her destination was never as faraway as where she is heading right now.

"We are here," Mayumi said without breaking a breathe. She has been here once before, therefore her stamina is more prepared for this journey.

Satchiko stopped, she rested herself by placing both her hands on her knees. After she rise from her back bent position, she noticed a wooden gate guarded by two Kyoshi warriors she knew is not from her own village. There are only a few towns on the island, and different Kyoshi warriors have different leaders they serve under. Their responsibility is to guard their respective regions, while also be flexible enough to perform a ranges of different tasks.

The two Kyoshi warriors guarding here is definitely from a chapter other than Akahana's branch. While Satchiko has been on this island for the entirety of her life, unlike her sister, she never bothered with familiarizing herself with the names of other leaders.

One of the two sentry noticed Mayumi and Satchiko, and waved at them with a pleasant expression. They thought they would spend the entire day standing here doing absolutely nothing. While the scale of importance in guarding this meeting cannot be emphasized enough, she is grateful that they can at least alleviate some boredom while they are at it.

"Wait, how we do we know they are actually one of us?" the other Kyoshi warrior sentry asked, her hands slowly reached for her fans on her own armor. "Who are those two anyway?"

Considering her concern, the first sentry watched the two in front of her. She knew she saw their faces somewhere before, but couldn't decided who they are.

"It's only us!" Mayumi called out. "We are Akahana's daughters!" she tried not to sound as though she is bragging about it. Under face paint, Mayumi knew it is rather difficult to tell one warrior from one another due to the near identical armor.

"Oh it's you guys! I haven't seen you two since the last Kyoshi day held at your town!" The sentry walked towards them and greeted them with an open and cheerful attitude. Like Mayumi, the two sentry are also in their early twenties. Being more experienced and diligent than the younger warriors, these two were naturally assigned to guard the gate. Of course, while they stood guard in brood daylight, others would deter intruders from the shadows...

Mayumi, now also recognize the familiar figure replied with a smile, "It's been a while Sakurai, and with the pirate raid lately, we never even had the chance to visited your village!"

Sakura's village is situated directly on the other side of Kyoshi island, it is the furthest one from Mayumi and Satchiko's hometown. Unlike the town, which is larger and a main vantage point for tourist, Sakurai's village is much more isolated. Therefore, not many people travel there other than to patrol the coast in case of pirate raids.

"Where are the others?" Satchiko asked in confusion. "Shouldn't there be more than two of you guarding this meeting?"

"They are doing thing their own way, me and Himari here is responsible for the main entrance." Sakurai said. She made sure to not be too specific in her responses, a good exercise of precaution.

After a few exchange of words, Satchiko and Mayumi headed into the temple, which is just a few more stone steps away. Sakurai and Himari watched as the two arrived at the giant temple's front door.

The temple is constructed from solid materials. A combination of wood and stone accompanied with excellent architecture naturally made this structure the most prestige building on this island. It's size allowed it to house more than two hundred people, completed with halls and rooms for different purposes. These are not the only reason why important meeting are held here, it is also due to the naturally defensible location that made it perfect to conceal any secrets discussed during the meeting.

The two sentry watched as their friends disappeared behind the giant massive doors, which took quite some effort to open and close.

Sakurai changed her attention when Himari spoke besides her. "That Satchiko girl, wasn't she an earth bender?"

Racking up her own memory, Sakurai tried very hard to recall the last time Satchiko bended. That's it, she remembered one time Satchiko made two peddles rotate between her two palms. Implying that it is more of a fun pass time rather than an actual fighting technique.

"She is, and she is quite lucky, considering both lady Akahana and Chief Hakaru are not benders themselves." Sakurai deducted.

"Why would she even train as a Kyoshi warrior if she already has bending?" Himari asked. It is not known if there where any previous Kyoshi warriors who were also benders. Other than the founder, who is Avatar Kyoshi, there isn't a lot of incentive for a bender to learn the combats arts of non-benders. Then why, why would Satchiko train to be a Kyoshi warrior despite possessing the natural ability?"

"I-I don't know," Sakurai admitted, it's a simple question yet quite unexplainable. "But I do know that she has that same motivation like the rest of us." She turned her head to face Himari, who shrugged at the acceptable response.

"This place is her home, after all."

-Inside the temple

Seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into hours. Satchiko felt a little impatient as she waited with Mayumi. They leaned on the wall that separated them and the meeting itself, which is only accessible from the closed door right besides them.

"When you said they are going to finish the meeting, when was the last time you said that?" Satchiko asked the Kyoshi warrior who appeared to be in her early thirties.

"About two hours ago," the women said casually. She knew that Satchiko is young, and teenagers don't usually have the same patience and attitude in these kind of situations. After all she herself sometimes struggled to just stand here doing absolutely nothing, while also guarding this place for hours.

"It will be over eventually," the Kyoshi warriors reminded. "Older adults tend to devote more time onintricate issues."

She didn't know what these 'intricate' issue is being referred to, but Satchiko know that the island has faced many problems in the past. Most of were resolved.

"When both of you are much older, you will know what it's like to manage the island," the Kyoshi warrior said. Her diligent position is still in a sentry stance since the entire time talking with Satchiko.

Satchiko turned to see Mayumi, who seemed a little asleep from all that waiting. Her body is still leaned on the wall, only slightly out of place.

Seeing the tired state of Mayumi, the sentry decided to help her fellow sister out, "One of the hallway has a bench, go left them turn right two times and you will see it," the sentry suggested to Satchiko, while also using her hand to point out the direction she should go. The hallway is massive, containing many turns and intersections. It would be a better idea for Mayumi to take a nap out of plain sight, since there still many high profile figures in the building. It would definitely be a bad impression if they managed to see her sleeping like this.

"Got it," Satchiko acknowledged quickly, she then proceed to gently shake Mayumi to wake her up. The elder sister is is still in a sleepy state, but nonetheless is still able to follow Satchiko to the location of the bench.

After arriving at the location, Mayumi gently lied down on the wooden bench. Despite it being not as soft as her bed, Mayumi still found it much more comfortable than simple leaning on the walls.

"Did you not have enough sleep last night?" Satchiko inquired with a hunted of curiosity. "I never see you fall alseep during the day before."

"Just tired, I will only take a few minutes to-" Mayumi failed to finish the sentence, and once again slept soundly. Satchiko felt surprised at how fast Mayumi managed slumber, as usually this very Kyoshi warrior is more dedicated and sharp than Satchiko herself.

Right before she can turn back and go to the meeting's door, a sign caught her attention. The word 'Artifact' is inscribed on it. The sign is also pointing towards another entrance. Satchiko could not exactly see what's in it, as the room inside appears darker without sunlight. Her body slowly moved towards the room, and looked inside. She then entered it entirely as her own curiosity draws her in.

-Inside the meeting room

All members are composed of Kyoshi island's respective leaders and representatives. They all sat on flour pillows, and surround a large round wooden table in the center of the room. Hakaru sat with the other two village chief, both of whom are much older than he is. Akahana meanwhile, observed the entire process, inspecting the expression of all the attendees in case there is anyone acting suspicious. While some might say her over precaution is a little too excessive, pragmatically, it is still better to expect the unexpected.

In the past, discussion were overall civil and productive, as everyone here aims to develop a solutions in a dignified manner. Whenever there are major events that could threaten Kyoshi island's position and prosperity, a gathering like this would always occur.

*Bang!* the thundering sound of a hand hitting the table is heard across the entire room.

"Those politicians in the Republic city are all spineless dog! The cowards have crossed the line this time!" a large fisherman yelled loudly as he vented his anger. This was the same fisherman who have informed Hakaru of the businessman from Republic city on the day of Satchiko's birth. Despite his hand may have hurt a little bit from the impact, it is nothing when compared to his rage on the issue. "For years we have endured the pirate raid that have plagued our island. We fisherman can kill countless pirates whenever we faced them on the sea, but how are we expected to destroy something that is practically invisible!"

"I know your anger is justified, which is why we need devise a plan to overcome these trade sanctions," Hakaru said as he tried to calm the representative of fishing community. He knew they have the most frustration due to the recent developments. Republic city's recent announcement to ban the fish imports from Kyoshi island has inflicted serious economic pressure on the fishermen. However, Hakaru is also aware that the the anger of this fisherman is only just a prelude, he is a harbinger, and a sign for an even greater problem. Without a consistent trade flow between Kyoshi island's main trade and Republic city's business community, it would much more difficult for Kyoshi island to even maintain its already humble economic prosperity. Although the tourist sector is still intact, it would only be a matter of time when the retail owners are also forcefully sent to the chopping board.

"We cannot let them do as they pleased," the fisherman addressed the everyone else in a more respectful tone that contrasts his initial outburst. "Those elephant koi meat are not going to sell themselves, what can we do?"

"Zaofu is currently the only place on the Earth Kingdom that buys elephant koi, but due to the unstable wars and conflicts, the other obvious option would be the fire nation," one of the older chief advised in a tamed tone. "However, the loss of buyers from the United Republic is not something we can easily replicate elsewhere, not with the sanction and tariffs still in place. If nothing is done about this, all I can say the future outlook of this land will not be good."

This sent all the attendees into a disorderly chatter, all of which were concerned for the implications of their future. This is especially true for those economically dependent on trade and tourist, a well placed sanction by the United Republic would be like a dagger thrusted straight into the heart.

Taking this opportunity, Hakaru surveyed across the room filled with other representatives and village leaders. He knew most of them deep down look to him for some answers. Unlike the others in the room, he is only person from outside the island. Being more proficient and knowledgeable about the world naturally makes him more dependable in the handling of external affairs. This knowledge however, was in fact learnt from the hard way. His experience derived from his own horrific experience of escaping war and political turmoil, has inevitably made him the most qualified in keeping the same thing from happening here.

Regardless, he knew there is still a certain degree of expectation he must deliver to the people. After all, he didn't became a chief like the other two simply because they all voted for him without reasoning. It was also because they saw him as one of their own, someone who is capable of filling the shoe of the now late previous chief. Therefore, not only must her fulfill their exceptions towards him, he must also exceed the exception itself.

"Those people in Republic city will only make our lives harder!" a farmer said loudly.

"Yeah, and they will definitely try to cut off something else later." another person spoke on. She appeared to be from the business community.

"Our lives are already struggling with all the pirate raids in the past!" said a man who seemed to be an armor smith. Less than ten of them are on the entire island, all of them responsible for making and maintaining Kyoshi warrior equipments.

"Enough all of you!" the third, and oldest chief among the three demanded. Everyone suddenly dropped their complaints.

"I apologized if I raised my voice too loud, but I think you all should know this more than just what happens inside our pockets," the chief's voice captivated the attention of everyone. "Those politicians wanted control and power, and Kyoshi island is only one of the many Earth Kingdom territories they can exploit. And with the Earth empire gone, we now have to deal with another problem that threatens our sovereignty. A sheep outside it's fence is only destined to be devoured by the wolf."

This did little to calm all those present, and the crowd soon reignited their discussion.

Akahana watched as all of this unfold, she begin to notice all of these leaders and representatives begin to argue over each on which is the best course of action should be taken. Yesterday was similar, everyone having endless discussion just to waste their time, and yet not a single solution presented itself. She does not blame them, Kyoshi island is always too small, too vulnerable. While they can deal with pirates efficiently with the Kyoshi warriors, they never had to deal with trade embargoes on this scale in the past before.

Since Akahana's field is in fighting, she believed she is much more useful elsewhere. Before leaving the now noisy room, she nodded to her husband to signal her withdrawal.

Seeing her, Hakaru silently acknowledged her intention, and so the only Kyoshi warrior in the room quietly left. Without anyone else noticing.

"How's meeting lady Akahana?" the door sentry asked respectfully. She also slightly bowed while opening the door.

"Fruitless," Akahana responded with a tiny hint of rejection, but she understands that this tremendous problem is not something everyone can understand and handle. She knew something bigger must be going on, and these sanctions on their fish is only the beginning.

"My lady, your daughters are also here, but one of them is asleep, so I directed them to a nearby bench," the sentry informed.

"They are here already?" Akahana sound a little surprised, but not unexpected. She thought they would take much longer to get here, and she herself would use this time to discuss the 'military' aspects of Kyoshi island with her colleagues.

"Lady Hitomi and lady Tomeo are waiting for you, should I go and inform them?" the sentry suggested.

It took Akahana a bit more thought to decide her next action. She know her own meeting with the other Kyoshi warrior leaders are important. Like the sentry before her, she too knew visiting checking on her two daughter would delay her.

"No, guard your posts, I will make sure the two of them will not be waiting for too long," Akahana's responded. It implied she is going to check on the girls first. She begin to head to the direction of where Mayumi and Satchiko is. However, she stopped and turned briefly around to face the sentry once again. "Oh, and thank you for looking after them." She then proceeds to walk off.

The sentry didn't initiate a verbal response, only bowed again to acknowledge Akahana's gratitude.

-Inside the Artifact room

Satchiko walked through the rows of different glass displays and portraits of important people. If she hadn't walked into this room, she wouldn't have realized how much she still needed to learn about this island's history. While she is well versed in the history during Kyoshi's time, admittedly she isn't very intelligent in other subjects.

She stopped at a portrait, one she recognized instantly. Despite her household not having this specific one, she immediately connected to it. Satchiko knew this very portrait hanging on the wall is none other than her grand parents, depicted when they are about 40 years of age.

At a very young age, she heard many things about the two from both Hakaru and Akahana. Her grandmother wasn't a Kyoshi warrior, but she does fulfill the role of the second lady and mother of two very well. Her grandfather is the head governor of the entire Kyoshi island, a title that is higher than a normal chief, and represents the village in a similar manner as Oyaji.

To this day, she still felt it's a shame she and Mayumi never got to met them. It is said by many that her grandfather contracted a rare fatal illness, which motivated him to pass his title to Hakaru, an outsider whom he for some reason is deemed a better replacement than a fellow islander. As for her grandmother, many don't spoke about how she died. They kept it as vague as possible whenever Satchiko asked them.

Satchiko bowed to honor both of them, even though she knew they will never even know who she is. She did it because it is a courteous act to honor those who came before her, especially if they are her own family. After all, wouldn't she wanted her own descendants to honor her too?

She moved on from the portrait, shifting through different sections of this almost endless room.

She once again stopped in front of a group of display, it stood out from the rest of them. A tiny plot of the room was reserved exclusively for this one person. A giant sign on a wall also has a series of words, which she couldn't see properly.

When she turned on the nearby lights, the brightness shined on this section of the room. Everything appeared much clearer.

In the middle, a Kyoshi warrior armor is displayed on an stand, surrounded by weapons and objects that Satchiko assumed to be belongings of that person. She concludes that this individual must someone of great prominence, due to having a considerable section of the room being allocated for her memory. The armor is just a generic piece of equipment wore by all the Kyoshi warriors, accompanied by the usual insignia and kimono. Amongst the weapons are the following: the Katana and a retractable shield with traditional Earth Kingdom emblem. Strangely, she couldn't see where the metals fans are, which is the primary weapon of a Kyoshi warrior.

The walls behind the armor stand contains a series of photos, portraits and other things that could be placed on a wall. Her attention is captivated on the sign, which says the following;

Suki

-Leader of the Kyoshi warriors

-Ally of Avatar Aang

-Hero of the One Hundred Year War

-Body guard of Firelord Zuko

-Chi blocking trainer of Crattlefish town

-Wife of the Southern Water tribe chief

Her attention than lead her another sign that shows the brief biography of this person.

After reading what might just be the entire recount of this individual's life, Satchiko only stared at the empty armor piece. The metal headdress is strikingly similar with what Mayumi and Akahana worn before her promotion. However, Satchiko has not yet noticed this similarity.

"*Sigh, if only I could be more like you, I couldn't even bend Earth like a normal Earth bender," Satchiko spoke in a rather dispirited mood. Even though Satchiko saw Kyoshi as her role model, this is something entirely different. This time, she is not merely reading through pages of history books. Instead, she is presented with a person's life accomplishments while also being near their belongings. This unique situation made Satchiko felt...strange.

For most of her life, Satchiko does felt a little too proud of her capabilities. Yes, she is pretty strong in her own right. But, she has gotten into her fair share of troubles and mistakes in the past, especially yesterday, which almost became the most disastrous moment of her life. Suki, who is a non-bender, achieved many great feats in her own time. What bothers Satchiko is that all of this was accomplished at a similar if not younger age when compared to the seventeen year old Satchiko.

While Satchiko knew Suki is a different person entirely, and life is more demanding back then. It is still difficult to not compare herself with this historical figure.

While still consumed in her own thought process, she suddenly felt a hand landed on her left shoulder. Someone is behind her.

"It's not about making mistakes, it's about growing from them, dear" Akahana said in a motherly tone. Her aura gave Satchiko a complete sense of safety even though she was initially on alert.

"I know Mum," Satchiko responded. "I know, it's only that I wish I had made less mistake," she said without turning around to face her. She is obliviously still troubled with her impulsive action on the beach yesterday.

Both of them only looked at the empty armor, which had once housed it's more significant owner. From anyone looking at this set, all they focus on is Suki's lifetime achievements and status.

"I never expected you to be someone of that caliber, because I know you are not her," Akahana went on saying, believing she needed to convey more to her daughter about her own feeling. "Instead of replicating the achievements of others, it's always better to walk your own path successfully."

Satchiko, still not quite understand, didn't know how to respond except asking more questions. "Then what is my path then? All I wanted is to protect this island like everyone else. Dad told me that an old lady wanted him to find his own place in this world."

"I don't know what your path truelly is, but that same person also told me that fate can also be...unpredictable." Akahana responded. She walked in front of Satchiko to get a better look at the signs on the wall. She knew they documented many important moments of Suki's life, but not the ones involving her more on a much more personal level.

"I know you never met your grandparents, and I'm sorry," Akahana suddenly apologized. This did surprised Satchiko, who didn't question her mother out of respect. "But I do hope you understand I very wanted what is best for you and Mayumi, and everyone else on this island."

The young girl acknowledged the last bit, even if she still thinks she doesn't have the same level of understanding as her mother.

"As for Suki, I think you should know that regardless of her accomplishment, the greatest and most important one is us," Akahana said while getting a wooden box from the shelves. It contains a package of incense stick, matchsticks as well as a ceramic, which served as an incense holder.

Satchiko looked back on the sign where all of Suki's achievements are written, she tried to comprehend what her mother is saying. Right before she can ask Akahana again, she noticed her mother placed her own war fan on a small table in front of the armor stand. The incense sticks were already burning, and is embed into the sand within the ceramic.

"That old lady, allowed her unworthy eldest granddaughter to inherent her war fan," Akahana said in a neutral tone. "She believed I am somehow still eligible to fill her shoe despite all of my mishaps."

Akahana's war fans, which appeared repaired, still display evidence of previous damage and scratches. The fan had to be very old. It was at this point she begin to connect the dots, and her eyes widened along with it."

"So the brown hair does run in the family!" Satchiko almost exclaimed.

Author's note

This chapter did took me quite a while as I wanted to include a tiny detail from the novels as well as additional research from the wikia. Like I mentioned before, I am not entirely sure whether if the island truly has multiple villages and Kyoshi warrior groups like the wikia stated. For the sake of storytelling, I will assume the wikia is right on this(with my own ideas of course). I would also like to remind everyone reading this story that not everything written here is 100 percent canon. We never got that much detail of Kyoshi island after it became a peninsula, so I do have to fill in some gaps to make the story flow. In canon, there is no temple on the highest mountain, but the Avatar mansion is real. Suki's life accomplishments are also mostly canon, and I have concluded her marriage with Sokka is something that has already occurred after ATLA(Assuming those Nickelodeon writers don't try anything funny in the future and completely jeopardize this story).
