I don't own Loud House, the show belongs to Chris Savino and Nickelodeon.

Story inspired by Sid and Marty Krotts Land of the Lost TV series.

The other Louds hung around their cave home doing various activities from tending their garden, to getting wood for the fires. Rita entered the cave, she walked over to her husband who is making a custom broom. "Hey honey how's the broom going?"

Lynn finished with the knot holding it together, "Just about finished." Lynn looked down at his work proudly.

"That looks great Lynn." Rita complimented.

"Thanks" Lynn looked over at her, "Have Lisa, Lincoln, and Luna returned with a carrot yet?"

"Not yet, but their probably on their way back now." Rita reassured.

"I hope so, I don't like them being out there on their own. Especially if it gets dark outside, they could run into those lizardmen."

"I'm sure they'll be here any second. Besides with Lisa around they're most likely safe." The ground suddenly shook causing small rocks to fall, Rita and Lynn struggled to keep their balance. The shaking stopped which allowed Rita and Lynn to regained their balance, outside they could hear animals cry in panic.

"What was that?" Rita asked while looking up at the ceiling.

"I don't know." Her husband answered uneasily; the two stayed where they were wondering what caused the shake until Lori called out to them. "Mom, dad you should come out and look at this!" The two quickly ran out of the cave to see what was wrong, their kids had their backs to them while looking upward, they immediately see what it was, and it gave them a clear answer on what caused the ground to shake.

From the distance is a active volcano, a massive dark cloud of ash came out of the top; from the look of it the volcano looked like it was going to blow anytime. The ground began to shake again as the volcano roared; from the distance a flock of pterosaurs flew out from the trees when the shaking stopped.

"Uh, was that volcano there this morning?" Lana asked in fear.

"No" Lori began, "That definitely wasn't there earlier."

"Man look at it, it looks likes it's really cooking." Lynn stated as she watched the rising ash. "I wondered what's cooking!" Leni question.

"It's a figure of speech Leni." Lori replied.

The ash cloud grew higher, clearly blocking out the sun in some areas. All of them were really scared as it looked like it was going to be a large eruption that will effect them, they can already imagine the fires, ash, landsides, and of the course the deadly lava. The Louds didn't know if they were a safe enough distance from the volcano's reach, but they didn't want to find out.

Rita picked up Lilly while still watching the volcano. "Kids we should grab our supplies and head inside the cave." They all grab stuff that is littered outside of the cave, with their stuff safely in their arms they'll head for the cave, however Lucy stopped as a thought came to her. "What about Lincoln, Luna, and Lisa?"

The others stopped in their tracks as worry began to fill them. "Oh my gosh! Their still out there!" Lori exclaimed, everyone looked back to the jungle hoping that they would come out any second, but alas no one came; the volcano gives another mighty rumble.

"We gotta go find them!" Leni stated.

"Yeah before things heat up." Luan joked which made some her sisters glare at her, Luan let out a little laugh before smiling awkwardly.

"Alright we'll do a search party, Rita you and the younger ones stay at the cave. Me and the older ones are going to find them." Lynn stated with his arms on his waist.

Rita gives her husband a side hug. "Alright honey, just be careful out there." She gives him a quick kiss on the cheek before herding the younger siblings into the cave; Lynn along with the older siblings quickly go into the jungle hoping to find the three missing siblings as soon as possible.

Back in the swamp Lincoln, Luna, and Lisa were still trekking through with their prized carrot, so far they've trekked deeper into the swamp; crossing small puddles and are definitely feeling the heat as well as the bugs. "Man dudes, if we weren't lost before, we definitely are now."

Lisa casually pushed away a large fern, "Fear not siblings, I just need to get a barring and will be out of this swamp in no time. By the way watch out for that branch Lincoln."

"Huh?" A branch smacked against Lincoln's face, "Thanks for the warning." He mumbled sarcastically.

Shortly afterwards the three were trudging through thick vegetation, they just went past in-between two trees when the ground shook for a short time before stopping, the siblings look around confused while all around them the sounds of alarmed animals cried as loose branches fall next to them.

"Another tremor." Lincoln stated while looking around.

Lisa inspected the ground with her finger on her chin. "Indeed, and that one seemed to be a bit more violent. How troubling." The siblings stood there waiting for anything else to happen and something did. The area suddenly went slightly dark; looking up they saw a thick cloud blocking out the sun. The cloud produces snow like substances that drifted slowly past them.

"Would you look at that it's snowing." Luna exclaimed.

Lisa held out her hand, letting the stuff land on it, after inspecting it closely she went in alarm. "This isn't snow, it's ash."

Luna and Lincoln looked at her in shock, "Wait ash!" Lisa nodded, "Yes, and with the ground shaking, this could only mean one thing." Lisa quickly moves forward to a clearing, her siblings followed in post haste and when got there, they saw the volcano; with their position they were more closer to it, close enough to get under the ash cloud that's flowing out of it.

"Oh great a volcano." Lincoln groaned.

"Indeed, and judging by the looks of it, there's going to be a big eruption." Lisa exclaimed.

"Oh man, you think we can get back to cave in time?" Luna asked in worry.

"I don't know, even if we did we're going to have to deal with the after effects of the eruption. Plus we have to hope that the cave doesn't cave in during a tremor." Lisa answered.

"Oh man this is going to be bad." Lincoln stated. The ground shakes again this time more violently, so violent that the three siblings fell to the ground. The violent shaking stopped as soon as it started; the three slowly got to their knees before looking back at the volcano fearfully.

The effects of the ground tremors could be felt throughout the land, in another clearing the iguanodon herd were once again grazing with a flock of gallimimus nearby. After their encounter with the Tyrannosaurus the leader of the herd is keeping an eye out, especially since he could see the carnotaurus resting in the sun nearby. The leader and the other adults may be the same size as the predator, but the predator could still be a danger to the sick, wounded, old, but most importantly the young.

Luckily the carnotaurus wasn't hungry, so she had no need to go after any of them for the moment, besides even if she was hungry, she couldn't go after them as they knew where she was and if you want to be a good hunter, prey cannot know where you are.

The leader leaned down and picks up a fern with his hand, he slowly chews the plant when the ground shook again. He gets on all fours; the rest of the herd cried in alarm, the gallimimus flock screamed in fright then dashed off into the safety of the jungle.

The shaking stops, the leader looked to his herd who were all panicking, the young ones hid underneath some of the adults crying out in distress. The leader turns back to the carnotaurus; she got to her feet while sniffing the air, the predator then turned and walked into the jungle. The leader sniffed the air as well, he smells a foul stench, turning in its direction he saw the volcano. The leader lets out a distress call, then led herd away from the danger.

Lynn and his daughters searched in vain for Lincoln, Luna, and Lisa; they could feel that the shaking was getting worse. They all called out for them, but received no reply which is worrying; Lori had climbed over a fallen tree with a bit of a effort due to her injury, she managed to get to the other side of the tree, she lets in a good few short breaths while looking upward.

She had seen something flying by, she rubbed her eyes as she couldn't believe what she just saw as they weren't pterosaurs, but instead they were these three triangular things that were flashing colors, they were gone as quickly they had appeared. Lori strained her eyes as she tried to see them past the tall tree tops, but she just couldn't; it wasn't until Lynn Jr's voice called out to her that she gave up.

She rejoined her family at the carrot site where the visible signs of her three missing siblings tracks, as well as Tyrannosaurus tracks which worried all of them, it worries them more as the Tyrannosaurus tracks went in the same direction as their siblings/son and daughters tracks.

Thinking the worse they followed the tracks all the way to a area with the corpse of the torosaurus with a big rip on its stomach. The smell is horrible and they could clearly hear flies: Leni, Lori, Lynn Sr, and Luan cringed away from the expose guts, while Lynn couldn't look away before speaking up. "Well at least we know that Rex didn't get Lincoln, Luna, and Lisa."

"But where is it?" Leni asked.

Luan then catches movement from the corner of her eye, she looked and nearly let out a loud gasp, but held it in, the family looked at her wondering what was wrong, then noticed the thing that Luan had saw and they immediately went silent. The Tyrannosaurus laid in the shade resting.

Lynn made a shh motion to his daughters, then he motion them to follow very slowly around the kill sight, they just got out of the kill area when the strongest tremor yet knocked them off their feet.

But it wasn't just a tremor, it was an eruption.

A great explosion bursts out from the top with a great plume of lava. Down at the swamp Luna, Lincoln, and Lisa were still trekking through it when they were knocked off their feet by the shockwave, along with some trees, while dirt, sticks, and high winds hit them. If that wasn't enough it was fallowed by a very loud bang, that was so loud that it rang their eardrums.

The ringing slowly stopped as they got back up; looking toward the volcano they can see the light of lava exploding out with cinders flying out. The siblings cringe in fear especially since those same cinders were now falling around them, one cinder hit the side of the carrot making that part burn. They looked at each other for a second then quickly took off; the cinders fall all around them burning anything that they touch.

The volcano does another explosion shooting out lava bombs that fly out everywhere. They strike the swamp, crushing anything that they land on along with causing fires that were at first small, but quickly grew from the wind.

The three siblings dodged a incoming lava bomb that crashed into the base of a tree splintering it like a toothpick. The air is littered by smoke, the sight of flames could be seen from the left to the right getting uncomfortably close, and from above the sky felt like it was falling. A lava bomb crashed into a large tree knocking it down right in front of the siblings, they let out a scream of terror as large flames engulfed the tree; looking around the other fires were getting closer.

"WE'RE TRAPPED!" Lincoln shouted.

Lisa looked around for an escape route, but there was nowhere to go, the only shelter that could be suitable is a pool of swamp water. "Quickly siblings into the swamp water!" Lisa instructed.

The siblings quickly ran into the cool swamp water, the fires surrounds them and they definitely felt the heat coming from them. "Oh man, what do we do!" Lincoln shouted.

"I don't know brother, we just need to hope that this pool of swamp water can protect us!" Lisa exclaimed.

Luna then notices something in the dark, ash covered sky. "Dudes look!" She points up, looking up her siblings saw the skylons flashing a series of colors above them.

"What are those things?" Lincoln asked in confused panic.

"They seemed to be some sort of machines."

"Look at those rad colors." Luna exclaimed completely mesmerized.

The skylons continued to flash the same colors over and over again. "Strange," Lisa began.

"What?" Lincoln asked.

"Their flashing the same colors in the same order as the crystals I pressed inside that structure."

Lincoln and Luna looked at her confused. "What do you think it means?" Luna asked.

"I, I honestly don't know." Lisa answered.

The skylons continued to flash the same colors over and over again much to Lisa's confusion, however her brother came up with a explanation. "I think they're trying to tell us something." Both of his sisters turned to him, "What do you mean bro?" Luna asked.

"Maybe Lisa did something while fiddling inside that pyramid structure." Lincoln explained.

"Like what?" Lisa question with an eyebrow raised.

"Maybe you caused this volcanic eruption." Lincoln replied.

Lisa looked at him in disbelief as that was by far the most ridiculous thing she had ever heard. "That's preposterous Lincoln! A volcano is a natural phenomenon, it can't be controlled by that structure."

"Think about it, this eruption happened after you messed with that crystal table." Lincoln pointed out.

"That's just a coincidence Lincoln." Lisa remarked.

"I don't know sis, maybe Lincoln's got a point." Luna piped up.

"Oh Luna, don't tell me your believing this." Lisa stated in mild frustration.

"I'm just saying sis. This land isn't exactly normal."

"I know this land is strange, what with the three moons in the sky, prehistoric animals roaming, giant fruit and vegetables, crystals that explode on contact, those reptilian creatures that come after dark, and those things in the sky. But I draw the line when a pyramid structure controls a volcano."

Another lava bomb smashes against the shore making Luna and Lincoln jump. "Well you can at least try and fix this?" Luna exclaimed.

"Why? Nothing's going to happen." Lisa argued.

Not wanting to argue while the swamp burns around them, Luna and Lincoln grabbed Lisa by under the armpits, and then fallowed the skylons while keeping away from the fires.

Further away Lynn and his daughters were still looking for Lincoln, Luna, and Lisa. They were in a panic as lava bombs crashed all around them; it wasn't as bad as the swamp, but they still represent a danger as fires burned in isolated areas, one lava bomb had crushed a fleeing flock of dryosaurs.

The sounds of terrified animals filled the jungle, the Louds ran as they search in vain for their missing family members. They burst into a clearing near a stream, from here they had a clear view of the volcano; the massive ash cloud slowly blocked out the sun, it dumps small snow like flakes around them, but the Louds knew that it was really ash and also knew not to breath it in.

Suddenly the ground began to shake, the Louds thought it was another tremor however that changed when they saw a couple trees falling over, along with the sounds of terrified animals. With the sound of falling trees, a stampede of apatosaurs bursted out from the treeline; knocking them over as if they were nothing but sticks.

The Louds were frozen in shock from the approaching herd, their footsteps sounded like thunder as they stomped around, they bumped and shove each other in panic, they were completely unstoppable and they were coming straight towards the family.

"Oh my gosh." Lori piped up.

Lynn Sr. shouted over the thundering footsteps. "MOVE GIRLS!"

The family ran to the far side of the path of the stampede, once in a safe distance they turn around and watched as the apatosaurs ran in majority of the area they just were at, they tore out plants from the ground along with some rocks. Their ears were filled by the loud footsteps and cries; eventually the herd passes leaving behind crushed vegetation, dust, and footprints.

Lynn wiped his forehead in relief, "That was close."

"Yeah, we nearly got dino-stomped." Luan joked causing her siblings to groan.

Leni however felt concern for the large herbivores. "Those poor things." Lynn turned to her sister in disbelief. "Poor things? Those things nearly trampled us!"

"They were just scared." Leni defended.

"So what! That's no excuse to stomp us like bugs!" Lynn argued.

The voice of their father swiftly interrupts the two. "Girls settle down. We still need to find Lincoln, Luna, and Lisa before things get worse."

"How can this get any worse?" Leni asked. Another explosion filled the air, turning to the volcano the family could see a pyroclastic flow begin to head down the mountain side in their direction. Lori turned to Leni quite annoyed, "You just had to ask."

It took a lot of navigating through the burning swamp, but eventually the pyramid came into view like a golden beacon.

"At last we're here dudes!" Luna exclaimed as she and her brother while still carrying their genius sister under the armpits approached the entrance. They placed Lisa down once they stood in front of the open entrance, Lisa looked at them with her arms crossed as she really didn't appreciate being carried here through the burning wetlands.

"Siblings this is ridiculous."

"Come on Lisa at least just try!" Lincoln stated.

"It's not going to work, once a volcano is erupting there's nothing you can do to stop it." Lisa argued. The sound of a explosion echoed throughout the swamp. Feeling panic run through her Luna pushed her sister into the pyramid structure, "Just do it Lisa!"

Lisa let out a frustrated sigh. "Fine but it's a waste of time." Lisa walked over to the crystal table, "Alright what are those things showing?"

Lincoln looked up to the skylons who continued to flash a series of colors. "Alright green, blue, yellow, red, and purple!"

Lisa fallowed the color order her brother gave out, carefully she pushes the crystals.

The volcano spat out another flow of lava before slowly coming to a stop, with it stopped there were no more tremors, lava bombs, or ash. However the pyroclastic flow continued to barrel straight towards a fleeing Lynn and his daughters.

The Louds were running as fast as they can, but the flow was faster, more faster than the speed of sound, they can already feel the heat coming from it. Lynn knew that if they didn't find shelter soon they would all be incinerated. But he couldn't see anything that could save them.

The flow is closing in on them, it was just a short distance from them, the family winched as they prepared themselves to be envelope when they stepped on some ground that was weaken by tremors gave way under their combined weight.

The family now suddenly found themselves sliding down a tunnel that eventually dropped into a cavern, the family fell to the ground hard knocking them out, behind them the tunnel opening had collapsed, blocking it which stopped parts of the flow that came down from flowing in. The family was now safe from the destructive power of the pyroclastic flow, but now they were knocked out cold in a unknown cavern.
