Hey everyone.
It has been a while since I last updated this story, I know. The thing is, I wanted to get ahead with Scarlet Plus Crimson, my other Fairy Tail X Naruto story, so that my stories do not become too similar plot wise. Sure, the major events from Fairy Tail still happen, but I believe that the 'HOW' and 'WHY' play an important role in how the story is viewed by all of you.
Also, I am sure I have stated this before, but the Edolas Arc is not my Favorite Arc in Fairy Tail. This Chapter will end the heroes' time in Edolas and will be rushed towards the end somewhat since I was getting tired of the Arc.
PLEASE DON'T HATE ME FOR THIS!
But fear not. The next Arc will not be Tenroujima but an AU mission for Naruto and Wendy. Feel free to send requests for this because as of the time I am writing this, I have not yet decided what mission Naruto and Wendy are to go on. And Note: it will be just the two of them, no other mage and no furry companion (aka Charla or Kurama).
Anyway, last time we ended off with the final battle of the Edolas Arc beginning, with Natsu, Gajeel and Wendy facing off against Droma Anim, Naruto arriving nearby and Kurama causing chaos in the Capital.

Shirou Emiya: I wasn't planning on Naruto dominating the battle right, and this chapter will mostly be about that battle of Dragons, with small appearances of other events happening in the meantime.

Mpower0438: Oh, Naruto is not as dense in this story as he is in Canon, but him being dense is part of who he is. I do plan on those two getting together, but not in this Arc. Kurama, Erza, Mira and Makarov will see to that.

On with the Story.
Previously…
Suddenly, the earth within the ruins the duo were heading to was torn open as a huge ass egg was revealed to the world.
The egg changed into a mechanized Dragon and fired a magical beam at the sky…
And got an answer in the form of a Natsu style, flaming fist punch to the back of the neck, a Gajeel style Iron lance to the chest and a Wendy style breath that gave the metallic dragon small amounts of airtime.
"Mages? Get Lost! Anti-Magic Spell: Moon Shield." The King of Edolas shouted, forming a pink barrier around the dragon.
Natsu sent a roar at the Dragonoid, only for his flames to harmlessly disperse upon impact.
"Well, this will be a problem." Natsu commented.
Back with Naruto
Seeing the barrier made Naruto's stomach growl…
Chapter 12: Battle of Dragons
"Fire Dragon's/Sky Dragon's/Iron Dragon's ROAR" the three Dragon Slayers roared in unison, their combined magic attacks smashing into the barrier, only for it to dissipate harmlessly.
The King of Edolas, Faust (1), cackled. "Oh, please, do continue. There is no spell that can destroy this barrier. Do you think that you feeble little fireworks will…"
*Crunch**Crunch**Swallow**Crunch*
The sound surprised the three Dragon Slayers and the King, who looked to the side where the sound originated from.
Wendy and Natsu smiled brightly and even Gajeel smirked when they saw Naruto there, chowing away at the barrier, pausing momentarily to belch, then continue eating, licking his chops.
"WHAT THE HELL?" Faust shouted in fright/horror.
"What? I am hungry and this tastes like Ramen." Naruto asked, crunching down on another piece of barrier.
Faust growled and cancelled the barrier.
"Fine…I'll just kill you alongside those other 3." He said as the Magic Cannon in the Dragonoid's mouth began charging.
The battle between Dragon(thing) and Dragon Slayer continued.
Nearby, another battle was taking place. Lucy, Gray, Happy and Carla…well, more like Lucy and Gray were doing the fighting whilst Happy and Charla were playing a round of deadly dodgeball.
Charla got hit by a lucky shot and for a moment it seemed as though the Mages were about to be overrun when suddenly a huge tree grew out of the ground, ensnaring the Legions the Empire brought with them.
The Tree turned out to be the Guildhall of Edolas' Fairy Tail, who after a peptalk from Edo-Lucy had decided to join in…with Edo-Gray and Gray meeting and hitting it off in the complete opposite sense of the Meaning. Gray told Edo-Gray to take some clothes off whilst Edo-Gray told him to put something on.
Then Gray met Edo-Juvia…and somewhat liked this version because she didn't try to flirt with him.
Edo-Gray on the other hand…Gray had to hold himself back in order not to freeze his Edolas counterpart in an Ice-Cube when he acted like Juvia towards Edo-Juvia.
Edo-Wendy and Edo-Naruto then arrived to protect the Cats. After bringing them to safety, they began going to town with the Soldiers, holding a competition on who can take out the most Soldiers.
Charla paused for a moment as she experienced a vision of a different Naruto and Wendy pair, fighting side by side in perfect teamwork like those two before her. Despite the pain from her wounds, she couldn't help but smile.
Back with the Dragon Slayers
"Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame" Natsu sent a flaming huge fireball at the Dragonoid, hitting one of its feet, moving it back a few feet.
"Iron Dragon's Pole" Gajeel sent his poles into the knee on the same side at the same time, making the Dragonoid stumble.
"Sky Dragon's Roar" Wendy sent her roar at Faust, making him topple over.
As the Dragonoid was toppling over, Naruto appeared below Droma Anim, kunai out and coated in Moon Dragon Slayer Magic and Chakra, his Moon Blades blazing at maximum power.
Naruto rushed forward, stabbing the blades into a gap in the Dragonoid's armour around the shoulder, only for the armour plates to jam together when the Dragonoid landed on the ground, forcing Naruto to relinquish his kunai with a grunt.
Faust meanwhile was becoming agitated. A side screen told him that one of the bolts holding the armour had been sheared, though this would have no effect on the performance. What agitated him was that some small punk managed to pierce Droma Anim's armour, which was thus far proven to be invulnerable to most magics.
Naruto must have realized that something was up and drew another Kunai and activated his Moon Blades again.
"Guys, I have a plan." He called out to his fellow Dragon Slayers, before running at the Dragonoid.
Jumping up, he slashed at the dragon's neck.
Naruto clicked his tongue when he saw the small, albeit deep, cut he had achieved in the armour. The cut didn't make it through the armour plate. Spinning, he delivered a slash with his other blade, forming a cross in the armour.
"Salamander, focus your attack at that cut that cut on the neck." Gajeel shouted, having realized what Naruto had planned. "Iron Dragon's Sword"
"Wendy, give me a boost." Natsu shouted as he was engulfed in flames and leapt at Gajeel, landing on his sword. Gajeel then threw Natsu at the Dragon's neck with all his might.
"Arms, Vernier" Wendy chanted, increasing Natsu's attacking power and speed.
'…need your help.' Naruto thought, his gut feeling in a twist.
"Moon Dragon's Hard Fist" Naruto shouted, jumping at the head before Natsu could get there and delivering a strong punch to the chin of Droma Anim, allowing Natsu to have a clear shot at the scar in the armour.
Dust and Metal fragments filled the air as Natsu punched the scar with all his might and for a moment, the Dragon Slayers let themselves smirk in triumph.
Only for the dust and smoke to clear, revealing that there was a second layer of armour underneath the grey metal.
Faust laughed. "Did you really think that that would have made you win? So naïve."
As the Dragonoid stood to its full height, Faust shed Droma Anim's outer armour, revealing a jet black suit of armour.
"Behold, Droma Anim's final form." Faust laughed as he began draining the atmosphere of all ethernano.
Naruto jumped onto the Mech's back and shouted "Moon Barrier". A Pink Barrier surrounded him and the Dragonoid, stopping the absorption process.
"Naruto/Brat, look out!" Natus and Gajeel shouted as they saw Droma Anim's tail come barrelling down onto Naruto.
"Naruto!" Wendy cried out as the tail connected with her best friend.
Faust laughed until he noticed that the Barrier preventing him from absorbing magic was still in place. "What?! The little shit is not dead yet?" he asked.
The three Dragon Slayers before him sighed in relief, though none more so than Wendy.
Meanwhile, underneath the tail, Naruto was groaning.
'Thanks for the save there, Kurama.' He thought.
"No problem, kit." Kurama answered, having returned to the seal just in time to flood Naruto's chakra network with his own chakra, forming a tailless cloak around Naruto. "Now, let's show this thing our power."
Faust's eyes widened when a orange/red glow appeared from beneath the tail.
Wendy's eyes widened in surprise.
Natsu and Gajeel took a defensive stance, feeling a wave of killing intent washing over them.
"What is going on?" Gajeel asked.
"Naruto…" Natsu just said, sensing that the KI was originating from the glow.
Wendy reached up to grab the Dragon pendant she wore, hoping that the one who bears its sibling is alright.
Suddenly, Droma Anim's tail was thrown off and Naruto jumped off, the Barrier dispelling finally, though Faust was too preoccupied to restart the absorption process.
Naruto landed on the ground off to the side, his clothes slightly torn from where the Tail had landed. Surrounding him was a red/orange bubbling aura.
Wendy recognized the Aura, having seen Naruto train with it before.
"Naruto, will you be able to keep the cloak up long enough?" Wendy asked.
Naruto looked at her and nodded. When he looked at her, he felt her emotions hit him like a freight train. Within the Seal, Kurama smirked, having added his empathy ability to the tailless Fox Cloak.
It disgruntled him that Naruto couldn't use the tailed cloaks, as they had found out the hard way…
Flashback, 1 year ago
Naruto was on the ground, screaming in pain as his skin slowly grew back, even with Wendy applying her healing magic.
"Kurama…why didn't that work?" Naruto gasped when the pain has subsided to a bearable level.
"I don't know kid. It may have to do with me no longer being inside the seal the whole time." Kurama theorized, appearing next to him with a burst of smoke, though he was genuinely concerned at this development.
They were training Naruto's control of his chakra and had gone to the first tailed state when Naruto's skin had suddenly completely been corroded away.(2)
"Isn't there anything you can do?" Wendy asked, hugging Charla, who was crying into her shoulder. Seeing Naruto's skin disappear like that had given the white cat quite a shock.
"Unfortunately not. I could try to alter my chakra's composition to match Naruto's, but this cloak won't be near a powerful." Kurama said.
"It will still help though, won't it?" Naruto asked.
Kurama sighed, but nodded.
Flashback end
"Time to end this." Naruto said, holding out a Moon Blade. The usually pink blade was usually only a long dagger in length, but now it had orange/red mixed into the pink colour and the length was almost twice it's previous length.
"What is this power?" Faust asked.
"Why should I answer you, dumass?" Naruto said, taking one step forward…and disappearing.
"What the…" Faust was interrupted when Naruto appeared and slashed Droma Anim's chestplate, though this time, he only left a deep scratch.
"Fast." Faust commented, before grabbing Naruto. "But not fast enough. Though I am impressed that you managed to damage this armour."
Suddenly, Faust noticed something approaching him and he saw Gajeel strike the same area as Naruto's scratch with his Iron Dragon's Sword.
Letting go of Naruto in order to swat away this new pest, Natsu came barrelling in, punching the arm away from Gajeel.
"You alright, Naruto?" he asked.
"I'll be fine." Naruto said. "You guys smell it too right?"
"Uhm, not really." Wendy admitted.
"I do. That stupid King is right there, were the Brat and I landed our attacks." Gajeel said.
"I just smelled something crappy there." Natsu commented. This off course pissed Faust off and he suddenly cranked up the Magic absorption ability to full drive.
Third person POV
Everyone nearby noticed it. The Imperial Soldiers' weapons stopped working as did those of the Edolas Fairy Tail members, the Exceeds who hadn't been turned into Lacryma felt their Magic leave them and Gray and Lucy, like the Exceeds, felt their Magic being slowly drained whilst the Ethernano in the atmosphere was rapidly disappearing.
But none of them felt the draining effect as strongly as the 4 Dragon Slayers.
Faust laughed, seeing Naruto and Wendy collapse to their knees, followed shortly by Gajeel and Natsu.
"See how weak you are without your Magic." He laughed some more, only to be stunned when Naruto once again slashed Droma Anim's chestplate, this time cutting a bit deeper.
"Seems like that draining ability also drains whatever is giving the armour its strength." He smirked, his blade having lost the pink glow and was now completely orange/red.
"Why you…" Faust shouted, grabbing Naruto and slamming him into the ground near Natsu. "Die already!" he shouted as he prepared to step on Naruto, whose cloak was flickering in and out of existence.
"Naruto!" Wendy cried out, though Natsu managed to stop the giant foot.
(A/N: the next part, Natsu's speech, Natsu, Gajeel and Wendy taking down Droma Anim and Faust being scared shitless are as in Canon…)
Naruto groaned as he craned his neck to see Droma Anim collapse with a giant hole in its chest.
"Well done guys." He said.
"We couldn't have done it without you, brat." Gajeel said. "You weakened the armour enough for us to defeat him." He held out a hand to help Naruto up, which Naruto accepted without much thought.
Wendy appeared next to Naruto and hugged him, crying in relief.
"Oh…hey Wendy." Naruto said, rubbing her back. "Sorry for having worried you." He said, nuzzeling her cheek with his.
"You big dummy. What would you have done if that hadn't worked? Or if Natsu-san hadn't been there?" Wendy said through her tears.
Naruto chuckled awkwardly, not really having an answer for that.
Gajeel and even Natsu suddenly felt as though they were third and fourth wheels right now, watching these two interact.
"Anyway…" Gajeel coughed into his hand, breaking Naruto and Wendy's moment. "What do we do with him?" he pointed at Faust.
"We'll think of something." Natsu answered.
Just then a large multicoloured pillar of magic erupted into the sky as an Anima formed right above it.
(A/N: the rest of the story in Edolas is pretty much Canon…except for one thing)
Later, in the Capital of Edolas
Wendy was trying her best to scare a young boy with little to no success, having seen Naruto do so to another boy easily. Suddenly the boy got a fright and ran away and Wendy thought that her trick had paid off, muttering a quick "I am sorry" to the boy.
She didn't notice Gajeel behind her, having put on a scary face to help the Bluenette out, though he also felt bad for her not being able to completely fulfil the role of acting all scary and evil.
Naruto had seen the stunt though, and whispered into Gajeel's ear, "I think the two of us need to work overtime for her."
Gajeel nodded in agreement.

Earthland, near Magnolia
Naruto and Wendy looked at the sky, feeling the rain as it poured down on them, as though it was washing away the stress of the last few days.
A smile grew on their faces as they thought the same thing.
'I am home.'
(1): I could honestly never remember what that guy's name was until I looked at the wiki…
(2): Ok, this is going to take a while, hopefully I can explain it in a way that everyone can understand…This is based on an explaination that appeared in the Naruto Canon, during the Battle with the Ten Tails. Naruto had just given everyone in the Shinobi Army a stage 1 cloak. I can't remember who it was, but someone theorized that Naruto's chakra had been in contact with Kurama's for so long that both chakra's fit together like a puzzle, and that Naruto used the individual 'puzzle pieces' of their chakra to make it compatible with everyone.
Now remember, Naruto had been exposed to Kurama's chakra for 16 years at that point, whilst in this story, Naruto was exposed to his chakra for about 4 years of his life before being transported to Earthland, and from then on, Kurama only exposed Naruto to his chakra every now and then…at least to a level where a cloak appears.
My theory here is that Kurama rebuilds the chakra he gives Naruto in order for the two chakras to be compatible, resulting in noticeably less of a power boost for Naruto than the 1 tailed Fox Cloak would give him usually. Speaking of which, the One Tailed Cloak is basically Kurama's undiluted and unaltered chakra, meaning it not only overwhelms Naruto's chakra but also is not fully compatible with his.
I hope that the explanation was sufficient. When using the tailless Cloak, I pictured Naruto to be on par strength wise with Natsu or Gajeel. I mean, he is only 12-13 years old.
(3): I was getting tired of the Arc, so I just went and rushed the end. Naruto honestly wouldn't have had much of an impact there anyway

I won't apologize for the ending because I was really getting sick of the Edolas Arc and wanted to start working an a small filler Arc, as mentioned up top, that would take place between the Edolas Arc and the S-Rank Trial Arc…and yes, I already have a plan on how to have Naruto join the group on Tenroujima, so don't worry…and no, he is not one of the 8 candidates…just a side kick like Wendy.
