Hello, everyone. Centurion Maximo here, and welcome back to Transformers: Multiversal Clash. I admit, I've taken a break from writing for a bit until I posted a new chapter of Young Justice: Their War, Our World, but I'm finally back on my other stories. In the last chapter, Remus made a daring rescue of the entire group from a forward Decepticon base with a Battle Convoy robot, the group stole back the Minicon panel, and Robin apologized to Remus who just waved it off. What will happen next?
Now, let's get right back into it!
*The Hub. Remus's Quarters. 5:01 am*
Remus had just woken up and was just sitting on his bed, thinking about the rescue mission he'd successfully pulled on his own a couple of weeks ago. Since then, the Decepticons and their allies had been strangely quiet, but he was of course, on constant lookout just in case as he had a feeling things weren't over.
Just then, there was a knock on his door. He went to answer it and saw it was Starfire and Kitty. "Hello, Starfire, Kitty, Honey Lemon. What do you three need?" He asked.
"We just wanted to say thank you for rescuing us that day, on behalf of all of us." Kitty smiled.
"You two came to my quarters just to tell me that?" Remus asked, his eyes a little wide.
"Yes, friend Remus. You performed magnificently." Starfire had a bright smile.
"Without you, who knows what would've happened to us." Honey Lemon added with her own smile.
"Why, thank you. It truly means a lot for you three to tell me that." Remus smiled. "I know Robin ate a big piece of humble pie when we got back. Regardless, it is good to have a little down time."
*The Hub. Karmi's Quarters. 5:12 am*
Karmi was working on a biotechnical project since last week, she asked Verdant for a smidge of her generated plant life. Needless to say, the results were astounding. She was in the process of just completing a new gadget for her personal arsenal. Though she wasn't sure it would really be effective in slowing down the Decepticons or Sentinels, she was gonna try.
"Karmi? It's me." Hiro called from her door.
"Just a minute." Karmi called back. A minute later, Hiro entered her quarters.
"What are you working on?" Hiro asked out of pure curiosity.
"Oh, I asked Verdant to lend me some of her personally-generated plant life to me to create a new little gadget." Karmi smiled.
"What is it?" Hiro asked.
"It's a kind of fast-growing plant grenade that should hopefully constrict enemies, stopping them in their tracks." Karmi explained.
"That sounds great!" Hiro cheered. "It's made by you, so it should work."
"Thanks, but even a genius like myself should have doubts." Karmi said, but with a slight smug smile that Hiro saw which earned her a small but soft nudge from him.
"I'm honestly thinking about that Battle Convoy robot Remus used when he rescued us those couple weeks ago." Hiro admitted.
"Now that you mention that robot, that was definitely a sight, wasn't it?" Karmi asked.
"I bet the others are still thinking the same thing." Hiro grinned.
*The Hub. Tenkai Knight's Quarters. 5:55 am*
"That Battle Convoy was awesome! What an upgrade!" Toxsa cheered.
"This makes me wonder where Remus had it the whole time." Gen pondered.
"I'm just glad he has it. He probably doesn't use it often as it was his quarterback for the touchdown." Chooki analogized.
"What I'm thinking about are those Sentinels." Beni brought up. "I have to admit, those things were creepy."
"Regardless, we made it out with the Minicon panel thanks to Remus, not to mention the Decepticons have been quiet for a while. What are they planning? That's the question." Guren reminded.
"The way I see it, those Decepticons went down like a sack of rusty nuts!" Ceylan joked, causing the others to playfully roll their eyes.
"Plus, thanks to Remus and Battle Convoy, we got the Minicon panel." Beni voiced.
"I wonder what it will look like when it awakens." Guren looked up at the ceiling.
"Whatever it looks like, it'll be a welcome addition to our group." Gen had a small smile.
*The Hub. X-Men's Quarters. 6:31 am*
"Remus cut it a little close." Logan gruffly stated while eating sausages.
"Regardless of how close it was, he did save us with that amazingly impressive piece of machinery." Hank commented.
"I'm more worried about Dr. Trask and those Sentinels. They seem to be specifically programmed to target mutants." Scott cut in.
"We'll beat them if we remain working together, not only with each other, but with our new allies/friends and the Autobots." Jean brought up.
"Agreed. We must contribute all we have to protecting the world from the Decepticons. They will hurt and destroy the Earth if they are allowed to roam free." Ororo declared with pure conviction.
"If we're going to do that, then we've got to up our game, Auntie O." Evan shot spikes at a target to prove his point.
*The Hub. Teen Titan's Quarters. 7:55 am*
When Starfire returned, her teammates were still conversing about what happened. "I still can't get over it. Remus just shows up, beats down the Decepticons and Sentinels, saves us, and helps us get the Minicon panel!" Beast Boy exclaimed with a grin.
"It was pretty awesome to see!" Cyborg agreed with a wide grin of his own.
"We assumed he wasn't the type to leave the Hub and he proved us wrong, that simple." Raven added in her usual monotone.
"He's humble as well." Robin admitted. "He just completely waved off my apology to him when we got back."
*Unknown Location. Dr. Trask's Laboratory. Unknown Time*
Dr. Trask was working on a Sentinel while pondering what happened a couple weeks ago. "How did my magnificent creations get wiped out so damn easily by one measly opponent?!" He slammed his fist on the metal table he was working on.
"Looks like I may have to think of doing some upgrades to the armor settings." Dr. Trask contemplated.
*Unknown Location. Corrupted Command Center. Unknown Time*
The five leading Corrupted along with Officer Rho were in a meeting. "What is the status of the War Stallions, Quakehoof?" Vilius asked.
"The War Stallions are ready for combat, my lord." Quakehoof answered.
"My Jungle Troopers are the same, Lord Vilius." Jurassicus added.
"Normal Troopers are almost ready, Vilius." Slyger bowed. "Plus, as long as we remain undisturbed, I've put a new project into play."
"I, on the other hand, have been working with our new weapons division and I believe we're close to making a complete replica of my weapon to give to some troops to upgrade them." Granox stated.
"All excellent news indeed. Slyger, Granox, you two have been performing far better than on Quarton. I'm actually impressed." Vilius commented.
"Thank you, Vilius." Granox & Slyger bowed at the sudden praise.
*Unknown Location. Dr. Gravemind's Laboratory. Unknown Time*
Dr. Gravemind was not getting upset like Dr. Trask. Instead, he was using his time to his advantage by once again working on a project. What he was working on involved what looked like a dragon with a grayish steel green body with red highlighted spikes, a large head with a mouth with what looked to be rotating teeth inside with sharp spines, and white bulging eyes restrained on a long table.
"You truly are a magnificent specimen, my new friend." The creature responded by trying to lunge at him, but falling short thanks to the restraints. "You can try that all you want, but it will never work." He responded very calmly.
The next thing he did was take another blood sample along with some spines and scales for his use. "You are a treasure trove of offensive and defensive choices. However, more tests must be conducted. There are no doubt more of your kind where you came from." Dr. Gravemind's eyes seemed to glow a little within his mask.
Hello, everyone. I hope you all liked this chapter of Transformers: Multiversal Clash. Now, this was basically a filler chapter as I felt the characters could use a little rest.
Honey Lemon, Kitty Pryde, and Starfire personally thank Remus for saving them back at the compound, Hiro and Karmi spend some more time together, The Tenkai Knights and X-men (Separately) contemplate Remus and Battle Convoy.
With the Decepticons and their allies, Dr. Trask is seen working on the Sentinels while wondering how they could've been beaten so easily after overpowering the much larger-sized group, The Corrupted are discussing projects and their troops, and Dr. Gravemind is seen tinkering away in his laboratory and a very familiar creature from a certain franchise appears. Hope you like that little cameo.
