Sniffing Out the Danger

Ozpin and Glynda are in the Headmaster's office seeing some Atlas fleet ships flying by Beacon tower.

"Ironwood certainly loves bringing his work wherever he travels." Glynda sighed.

"Well, running an academy and a military makes him a busy man." Ozpin pointed out before looking back at the fleet. "But yes, those are a bit of an eyesore." He admitted.

"So, why exactly am I here?" Wolverine asked, feeling irritated of seeing the Atlas fleet ships.

"Because the General has requested of meeting the Wolverine in person, to give his condolence for what happened to you all those years ago." Ozpin explained.

"And probably wants to take me back to be experiment on." Wolverine growled a little.

"Now Wolverine, you know Ironwood had nothing to do with that." Ozpin stated.

"Doesn't mean he won't like the idea of having metal claw soldiers." Wolverine said.

"Just please, behave when the General is here." Ozpin sighed as Wolverine snarls a bit.

Speaking of the devil, the elevator door opens, and a respectful-looking man walks out with a small smile on his face as this man is none other than General James Ironwood.

James has black hair, with some gray areas, while his eyebrows are solid black. He has a strip of silver metal above his right eyebrow. He wears white overcoat, with a gray undercoat, black sweater, a red necktie and a white glove on his right hand. His suit pants share the same color as his overcoat and are tucked into silver boots accented in gray.

"Ozpin!" James greeted.

"Hello, General." Ozpin greeted back.

"Please, drop the formalities." James approached Ozpin shaking his hand and look over at Glynda.

"It's been too long. And Glynda! It has certainly been too long since we last met." James said kindly.

"Oh, James." Glynda waved hello and walks away to exit the office.

"Well, she hasn't change a bit." James chuckled.

"Or maybe she just can't stand being in the same room as you." Wolverine rolled his eyes.

"Ah, I finally get to meet the famous Wolverine, face to face." James said.

"You heard of me, I'm honor." Wolverine said sarcastically.

"Forgive him, James. Wolverine is still have trust issues when it comes to Atlas." Ozpin mentioned.

"And I can understand that completely, that scientist was one of our brightest minds and we didn't realize what he was doing until it was too late. No amount of apologizes can make for taking away your childhood, and I will do whatever I can make it up to you." James promised.

"Oh yeah, then how about getting those flying planes of yours off Beacon sky?" Wolverine pointed his thumb at the window.

"Yes, I have to agree with him there. With the Vytal Festival coming up, I hope to have everyone in the kingdom at ease to enjoy peace Remnant is enjoying right now and the fleet is having me concern with that." Ozpin said.

"Well, concern is what brought them here." James said.

"I doubt it just about "concerning" for an alley kingdom." Wolverine glared and unsheathe his claws on his right hand.

James knew that despite the young appearance, Wolverine is over two decades old and knew better than when something is up throughout his time traveling around Remnant.

"Is about the danger that Ozpin told me when he got word from Qrow." James revealed.

"The old bird guy with the scythe, I remember him, and he thinks Vale is in danger or something?" Wolverine asked Ozpin.

"If what Qrow said is true, then we will handle it tactfully. It's the Vytal Festival. A time to celebrate unity and peace." Ozpin said calmly and look at James.

"So, I suggest that you not scare people by transporting hundreds of soldiers halfway across the continent." Ozpin advised.

"I'm just being cautions." James said.

"We're all being cautions with the Grimm trying to kill us and other bad apples in the world, but let it consume your mind too much and you'll suddenly snap and start hurting a little of people." Wolverine warned as he walks to the elevator.

"He does have a point. Which is why we will continue to train the best Huntsmen and Huntresses we can." Ozpin stated.

"Believe me, I am. But ask yourself this: Do you honestly believe your children can win a war?" James asked.

"I hope they never have to." Ozpin prayed.

(With Wolverine)

Wolverine is seen walking through the courtyard of the schoolground thinking about what he said the James making him remember the times when he was little after escaping that lab, he used to be worry all the time that the people he did this to him would come back and make him more of a monster than he already is. But as the years went by, Wolverine became a little calmer and decided to handle the problem himself if they try coming to him by force.

"Let see if those idiots will feel lucky when they get a load of me." Wolverine looked at his claws.

Then he started to remember the time when he first found his big brother in Vacuo years ago and what he saw was no longer his brother.

(Flashback)

"Big brother!" Younger Wolverine called out.

"Wolverine!" The Young Sabretooth smiled as he hugged his little brother.

"You're here! I can't believe it, you actually escape that lab!" Sabretooth sobbed a little.

"I did, but I… I hurt a lot of people in there too." Younger Wolverine confessed.

"And they deserved it for what they did to you, but now we can be together forever because we're brothers." Younger Sabretooth proclaimed.

"Okay!" Younger Wolverine nodded.

Wolverine thought being with his big brother again means their life would be a little easier and they can live a peaceful life together, but that wasn't the case when one night when Sabretooth sniff something in the air.

"Something wrong, Victor?" Wolverine asked.

"Stay here, James. I'll be right back." Sabretooth walked out of the hunt.

Wolverine wonder what his big brother is going out for, thinking it's probably the Grimm lurking around the area though his nose picked up the same scent and it didn't smell like a Grimm at all, the scent is more that of a person. Then he heard a sudden scream from close by, he quickly got up and ran out following the screaming sound, making a turn to a big rock he gasp seeing his big brother attacking a Faunus woman bleeding from her left leg and right arm with a destroyed weapon next to her as she tries to crawl away from him.

"Please, no… I have to get back to my family!" The Huntress begged with tears streaming down her cheeks.

Sabretooth didn't care and prepare to swing his claw at her, but Wolverine steps in and impale his claws in Sabretooth's arm causing him to roar in pain.

"Go, get out of here!" Wolverine yelled at the Huntress as she quickly got herself up and limp away from the two as fast as she could.

"Brother, stop! She is just a Huntress going after some Grimm!" Wolverine tried to hold off Sabretooth.

"So, what? it's because Huntsmen and Huntress that took us away from our home and made us the way we are now!" Sabretooth pushed Wolverine away for his back to crash against a tree.

"But that doesn't mean all Hunters are bad, we can work with them and help destroy the Grimm." Wolverine pointed out.

"Who cares, sure killing the Grimm is fun but born killers like us are more than that. Wild, uncontrollable animals like us can kill whatever and whoever we want, it is in our nature, little brother!" Sabretooth smirked.

Wolverine couldn't believe what he is hearing, the big brother he knew and wanted to be with again after all this time, is now some kind of vicious monster that is far worse than the Grimm and he just wanted to kill for fun because he thinks it's in his nature. Something inside him started to boil his blood and his claw came out, roaring loud at the night sky before lunging at Sabretooth pierce his claws at his chest and threw him after a tackle front flip.

"You are no big brother of mine, not anymore." Wolverine growled.

"Oh yeah, you wouldn't be able to survive in this world without me!" Sabretooth proclaimed.

"Watch me, bub." Wolverine shouted.

Sabretooth growls in rage that his own little brother would betray him like this and his anger started taking over a little and roars as he jump at Wolverine as he does the same, the two brothers clashing under the broken full moon.

(Flashback End)

"Hey! Hey Wolverine, anybody home?" Yang said waving her hand in front of his face.

Wolverine snaps out of his thoughts and saw Yang on his left with Ruby and Weiss standing behind her.

"Yang, what are you girls doing here?" Wolverine asked.

"We should be asking you that, why are you out here staring at the sky like you're sleeping with your eyes open?" Weiss asked.

"Wait, you can do that?" Ruby becomes curious about sleeping with the eyes open.

Wolverine looks up at the sky realizing that it's almost nighttime and that he has been out here and didn't realize that he was sitting on a tree all this time.

"Huh, never thought time would fly by when you're remembering stuff." Wolverine said as he gets up.

"Must have been some memory to make you doze off like that." Yang commented.

"You could say that. You guys had fun with your boardgame?" Wolverine asked.

"I don't want to talk about it." Yang muttered as she walks on ahead to their room.

"Jaune beat her in Remnant: the Game." Ruby revealed with a chuckle.

"Really? Didn't think Jaune would be good at boardgames." Wolverine surprised.

"That's what I thought too, but it appears the goofball actually has some skills and a good mind too to outsmart Yang who kept beating us." Weiss admitted.

"Hey, he just got lucky, okay!" Yang protested.

"Lucky to beat you in the last four rounds." Weiss raised an eyebrow.

"Whatever, we should never have let him play!" Yang angered as the team enter the room with Blake sitting on her bed.

"Yang, there's no shame in admitting that there is someone better at you in something." Wolverine stated and got pull up close by the shirt from his girlfriend.

"You and I are so going to have sex later tonight because I'm feeling to release some stress." Yang whispered a little angry.

"He's right, you know. See, if you had just attacked when I told you none of this would have happened." Ruby pointed out.

As soon as Blake saw her team coming in, she got up from her bed and walk to the door to leave the room.

"Stop." Weiss said as Blake halted her approach to the door.

"Lately you've been quiet, antisocial and moody!" Weiss said.

"Uh, have you met Blake?" Yang asked sarcastically.

"Which I get is kind of your thing, but you've been doing it more than usual! Which quite frankly, is unacceptable! You made a promise to me, to all of us, that you would let us know if something was wrong!" Weiss believed and jump in the air for some front flips before landing back down.

"So, Blake Belladonna, what is wrong!?" Weiss demanded, pointing her finger at Blake and shown to be standing on a chair balancing on its two back legs.

"Was that really necessary?" Wolverine deadpanned as Weiss quickly got down and put the chair back to the desk.

"Okay, just spill the beans of what's been bothering you though I may already have an idea of what that is." Wolverine said crossing his arms.

"I just, I don't understand how everyone can be so calm." Blake stated.

"You're still thinking about Torchwick?" Ruby asked.

"Torchwick, the White Fang, all of it! Something big is happening and no one is doing anything about it!" Blake very worried.

"Ozpin told us not to worry. Between the police and the Huntsmen, I'm sure they can handle it." Yang reminded her.

"Not when they got Sabretooth with them, that guy is dangerous than any of those white-armored Faunus combined and he won't hesitate to kill them either unless he needs them for something." Wolverine added, wondering what is Sabretooth and his shady partners are up to.

"Exactly! None of them know the White Fang like I do." Blake said.

"Okay, between blowing up nightclubs, stopping thieves, and fighting for freedom, I'm sure the three of you think that you're all ready to go out and apprehend these ne'er-do-wells!" Weiss stepped in.

"Uh, who?" Ruby confused of the word.

"It means we're people who do dangerous stuff without worry for our own safety and stuff." Wolverine explained to his red leader.

"But let me once again be the voice of reason. We're students! We're not ready to handle this sort of situation!" Weiss pointed out.

"Well yeah, but…" Ruby tried to think of something to counter Weiss's words, but the Ice Queen cut in.

"We're not ready!" Weiss glared.

"And we may never be ready! Our enemies aren't just going to sit around and wait for graduation day. They're out there, somewhere, planning their next move, and none of us know what it is, but it's coming! Whether we're ready or not!" Blake stated strongly.

Blake's teammates thought this hard, believing that Blake might be right about this and their enemies could plan on something big to harm Vale at any moment and they need to stop them before that could happen.

"Okay, all in favor of becoming the youngest Huntresses to single-handedly taking down a corrupt organization conspiring against the Kingdom of Vale... say aye." Ruby smiled.

"Yes! I love it when you're feisty!" Yang cheered.

"Well, I suppose this could be fun." Weiss volunteered to join as well.

"None of you said aye." Ruby said sadden.

"Cheer up, Ruby. We'll be going on an exciting adventure with possible danger coming right at our faces." Wolverine assured.

"Okay, now let's hatch a plan!" Ruby said as Yang cheers. Then Ruby remember something super important that her world would end if she doesn't get it back right now.

"I left my boardgame at the library!" Ruby gasped.

"We're doom." Weiss facepalmed herself.

"Be right back!" Ruby dashed out of the room.

However, in her hasty dash to get to the library before it closes, Ruby bumps into someone causing her to fall on her butt.

"Sorry. Are you okay?" Ruby apologized.

"I'm okay." A girl said offering her hand.

"I'm Emerald, nice to meet you." Emerald greeted.

"Hi, I'm Ruby Rose." Ruby introduced her name.

"Hey Ruby, something wrong?" Wolverine asked walking out the room and seeing the four new faces he hasn't seen before.

"I'm okay, and this is Emerald with her teammates." Ruby introduced.

"Hi, This here is Mercury, Cinder, and Deerc." Emerald introduced her teammates.

"What's up, dudes." Mercury greeted.

"Say, you guys wouldn't happen to be visiting from another school, are you?" Wolverine asked curiously.

"We are, Haven Academy." Cinder answered.

"Ooh! You're here for the festival! But exchange students have their own dormitory." Ruby informed them.

"I guess we just got turned around." Mercury shrugged.

"Really? You guys don't look like the type to get yourself lose so easily." Wolverine stated.

"Well, we did want to look around to see what the dorm is like just in case we don't get lose." Deerc chuckled. He has blue hair and green eyes.

"Hey, don't worry, it happens all the time." Ruby giggled.

"The fuck is that smell?" Wolverine covered his nose from the sudden scent he's getting.

"That's just my cologne, Mistral's Cherry Peaceful Sign." Deerc answered.

"Whatever, later." Wolverine walked back into team RWWBY's room and headed for the bathroom, washing his face a little and look at his reflection.

"Something is up about those guys, and that Deerc isn't what he appears to be, but I don't know what. I'll just have to keep an eye on them." Wolverine stated as his instincts are warning him about those guys being danger.

"Welcome to Beacon!" Ruby said as Cinder and her group walk past her and headed for their dorm.
