Joe was the exact opposite of calm. He was being extra hard on the Harriers and generally being, as Jess would call him, a grump. Jules probably would too. He put his soul out on that paper. Stupid! Anything could have happened to that letter. It could've gotten lost in the system, mailed somewhere else, destroyed somehow, who knows? He'd been worrying about it for weeks, knowing it normally takes about a week for her to respond. Joe worried he took it too far. Maybe she wasn't ready to hear it. Hell, maybe he wasn't ready to say it.

No. No, he was ready to say it. He loved her.

And he hadn't thought of anything but her since she left and even more so since he stupidly sent that letter. He definitely scared her off. There's no way she still wants to be with me.

Joe finally put down his tea and went downstairs to check his mail, as he did everyday. Twice a day. Just in case. He hadn't given up on her yet- on them.

Grabbing the envelopes, his neighbor said hello. Joe was mumbling a hello when he caught sight of Jess's flowing cursive. His heart skipped a beat. "Have a good day!" He quickly said. Running up the stairs, knowing his knee would hate him for it later, he didn't have a care in the world. Nothing mattered anymore again, except for Jess.

Practically ripping open the envelope, he read through what she had written. Reading her ramblings, he couldn't help but grin. And emphasized the date he had in mind for weeks. December 14th. December 14th Jess would be home, and she loved him too. The month that they had missed didn't matter anymore. Although- now he had a plan. He quickly got ready and headed to the Bhamra's without a moment to lose.

A/N: I am so appreciative for all of your interaction with last chapter! I'm so happy to still have all of you guys with me here. I've been working on a book, which takes a lot of my time. I will be finishing this fic, and I don't know what I'll do after that. Thank you guys, so much.
