Chapter 16
*Friday morning after the argument with the twins*
The girls are woken up to the sound of loud banging on their front door. Looking at the clock and seeing that it's 7am the girls groan and yell for someone to answer the door. The girls could hear their parents playfully fighting over who should answer the door. The girls groan more and cover their head with their pillows. "Franklin! Please get the door!" The girls yell, just wanting to get back to sleep. Not sure if he actually heard them, the girls just listened for a minute. Hearing the door open, the girls let out a sigh of relief and tried to get back to sleep. As the girls were almost back to sleep they heard a knock on their door. The girls groan loudly as Tamaki pokes his head through the door. "What do you want cult leader?!" Kazuna asks not coming out from under the pillow. Tamaki nervously asks, " do you guys want to come to a spa resort? It's a club trip." Izumi throws a pillow at him in response. Tamaki shrieks and runs out. "MOMMA! THE GIRLS ARE ASSAULTING ME!" Tamaki yells as he runs back to the living room to get Kyoya. Kyoya sighs, gets up from where he was sitting and talking to their parents and heads to the room the girls are in. "Ladiess~ How are we this morning?" Kyoya says sweetly to his best friends. "Awful." Kazuna says. "Terrible." Izumi adds. Tamaki pops back in and asks, "Why?! What's wrong with my beautiful daughters?!" The only response he gets is two pillows thrown at him. He immediately goes to a corner to sulk. Kyoya sighs and asks, "What's the matter?" The girls sit up and ask, "do you really want to know?" Kyoya nervously shakes his head yes. "Well to start off, we woke up at 4am with insane cramps and woke up again about an hour ago with niagara falls. So you tell me how you'd feel if you were us." the girls say together, scarily in sync.
Kyoya just grabs Tamaki, and says, "We'll be leaving now. Get some rest and I'll keep you two updated on everything." Kyoya drags Tamaki out and shuts the door behind him, letting out a breath of relief. The girls, now fully awake but not wanting to get up, text their parents to bring them food and to pick their pillows up when they come in. Throughout the day Kyoya sends them texts about what is going on at the resort. The girls send dumb memes in response to keep Kyoya entertained.
*Time skip to end of day, after the resort*
After dropping the other hosts back home, Kyoya texts the girls that he and Mori-kuuuun are coming by with chocolate, ice cream and other snacks. The girls were in the living room waiting on the chinese food they ordered and put on Harry Potter. About 10 minutes after getting Kyoya's text the girls hear a knock on the door. "Come in, it's open!" The girls yell, not wanting to get off the couch. Kyoya and Mori come in and set all the snacks in front of the girls. "We bring thine goddesses offerings of peace." Mori-kuuuun says, sleepily. The girls let out a laugh and grab the snacks. Kyoya just sighs and goes to sit by Kazuna. "We accept thine offerings my good sir, but you must answer the door when the food gets here." Izumi says, pulling Mori-kuuun onto the couch. The four just stayed cuddled up watching Harry Potter until the food came. Mori-kuuuun got up to get the food, handing each girl their meals. While eating, the girls kept quoting the movies, totally ignoring the boys. "Neville, what are you most afraid of?...P-p-p-professor Snape… Yes, he frightens all of us. Now I believe you live with your grandmother, correct? ….Yes, but I don't want it to turn into her either… Now I want you to picture her clothes, only her clothes." As Neville starts to describe her clothes the girls stop quoting the movie. "Are you sure you guys don't want to pick a different movie to watch? You seem to know this one pretty well." Kyoya asks. The girls turn to him and gasp, "Turn off Harry Potter?! Are you mad?!" Kazuna says, Izumi adds "what in the Death Eaters are you talking about?!" The boys didn't know how to respond so they all just kept watching. At some point the girls took some photos for their snapchat.
After the fourth movie, the girls checked their snapchat and saw that the twins had seen it. The twins hadn't said anything to them so the girls just went about with their night. The boys had fallen asleep soon after that, but towards the end of the marathon the girls' parents came downstairs. "We just got an emergency call from work, we'll be gone for a couple of weeks, maybe more." Kaede says. "We'll try and make it back as soon as we can." Mark adds. The girls just throw up a peace sign and go to sleep.
*The next morning*
Everyone woke up to Kyoya's somehow perfect alarm. After last time, they figured out a faster way to get everyone ready. The girls go to make coffee and breakfast while the boys go get dressed. When the boys were finished, they got food and coffee while the girls got ready. The girls, still tired, just put their coffee in a travel mug and called Franklin to get the car ready. They all got into the car, sleepily, never once saying a word to each other. As they get closer to the school, Franklin decides to prank them and turn the radio on and all the way up. They all jump awake, the boys hitting their heads on the roof of the car while the girls glare at Franklin. "How dare you wake us up with this trash?!" The girls asked. Franklin, hiding a smile, says "I had to wake you all up for when we arrived and we have just arrived." The girls just groaned and pushed the boys out of the car. "We'll get you back for this Franklin." Kazuna starts. "Be prepared." Izumi finishes and they all head into school.
Now awake and irritated, the girls say bye to their maaanzz after they had walked them to class. They head to their seats and put their heads down on their desks until the teacher arrives. All throughout classes, the girls took turns napping and taking notes, barely paying any attention. So much so, Haruhi got worried and decided to get involved. The twins noticed the girls' lack of attention and took extra detailed notes for Haruhi to give the girls later.
*Time skip to end of day, hosting hours*
The girls dragged themselves to the club room, fighting sleep the whole way. They ignored Tamaki's questions about what was wrong and just went into the back room to take a nap. The hosts go about their usual activities, every so often having someone go check on the girls. As club hours were ending and the hosts were cleaning up, Tamaki went to try and wake the girls up. They both find something to throw at him and he runs out screaming. Kyoya and Mori sigh a little and head to go wake them up. The twins, watching them, start to get angry. After a few minutes, the girls are finally woken up and carried out to their car. This just angers the twins even more, Hikaru still not understanding why exactly he feels this angry. Kaoru was wishing that it was him carrying Izumi out. Deciding it was time to go, they handed Haruhi their notebook with a note to give it to the girls and walked out to their car. Haruhi sighs, thinking about the long walk ahead of her and leaves as well.
*Time skip to Friday before beach trip*
The girls are getting ready for school when they get a call from their parents. "We know we just yelled at you for missing school but we miss you so you're not going." Mark says. "We called the school already to let them know you were 'sick'." Kaede adds. The girls just shrug and say okay. They spend a couple hours talking to their parents about school and the club. As the girls were saying their goodbyes to their parents, they heard the doorbell. "Who could that be this early on a school day?" Kazuna says out loud. "Is it a murderer?!" Izumi asks. "Please let it be a murderer" Kazuna says thinking of what else could be behind that door. The girls make their way to the door, looking through the peephole to see who it is. All they could see was pocky stacked all the way up in front of their door. The girls, confused, open the door to see what was going on. What they saw was pure heaven, all different snacks of different kinds. The girls walked out of the house to see who was behind all this, following the path of snacks. When they got to the end, they saw the twins awkwardly standing there with a pile of chinese food.
Kaoru, for once, was the first to speak up, "I'm sorry for the way I've been acting. It's childish and I didn't know how else to express my feelings. I understand them now and I'm going to try and be better at expressing them." Kaoru pauses for a second and realizes that he was just staring at Izumi the whole time. He quickly adds, looking at both of the girls, "I really am sorry." Kaoru looks at Hikaru, noticing that he's looking everywhere but at the girls, and gives him a nudge. Hikaru gives his brother a look and takes a deep breath. He looks at the girls and says, "I know what I did was wrong and I'm sorry. It won't happen again .I'll try and control my anger." The girls look at each other, debating on if they should accept this apology. Izumi, initiates going for a hug first and says, "It's okay, glad you're not slow." Kaoru hugs her back and sighs in relief. Kazuna, not entirely happy with the apology, still goes to give Hikaru a hug. "Thank you for apologizing. I know it wasn't easy for you." Hikaru hugs back and is relieved that this fight is finally over.
The girls invite the twins in to help them eat the chinese food. The girls call Franklin to get him to help bring all the snacks inside. As they get inside they hear a distant voice, the girls instantly running to their laptop. "Sorry mom and dad! We forgot to hang up. Sadly we're not dead." The girls say with a laugh. "It's alright girls, go enjoy your day. Love you." Kaede says. Mark adds laughing, "try better next time girls." The girls say their goodbyes and end the call. The twins look baffled and ask, "is this normal for you guys?" The girls, coming back to the living room after getting plates and utensils say, "yeah, it's how we cope." The twins just share a look and shrug. The girls sit down, start eating, and ask, "so besides apologizing, what did you come here for?" Hikaru looks at them and says, "Boss says it's beach day, we came to see if you would ride with us." Kazuna, not even looking up, says, "Nah, we're waiting on Kyoya." The twins share a look, "why?" Hikaru aks. "Well, we had no idea when you two were gonna apologize so we called Kyoya." Kazuna says as she sends a quick text to Kyoya saying to call and play along.
Kyoya texts back saying, 'weird flex but okay'. A few minutes went by as they all were eating in awkward silence and then Kyoya called. "Hey boo thang, you on your way?" Kazuna says. "I;m leaving my house now, you girls have everything ready?" Kyoya says, not really getting ready to leave. "Of course! Can't wait to hit the beach!" Izumi says. "Good, see you in a few." Kyoya says and hangs up. Kazuna puts her phone away and grabs some pocky. "We can play the pocky game together if it makes you feel better~" she says as she pulls one out and sits closer to Hikaru. Izumi follows suit, sitting closer to Kaoru. "What if it would?" Hikaru says a little irritated. "Let's do it then~" Izumi says and she and Kazuna put the pocky in their mouths. The twins share a look of 'are we really doing this?' and decide to just go for it. As they're about to start playing, Hikaru's phone starts to ring. They all groan as Hikaru answers and puts it on speaker. "WHERE ARE YOU GUYS?! WE WENT TO YOUR HOUSE TO GET YOU AND YOU WEREN'T THERE!" Tamaki yelled. "We're with Kazuna and Izumi boss. We went to pick them up but got a little sidetracked. We'll meet you at the school." Hikaru says and hangs up. "Guess we'll have to take a rain check on the game." the twins say together with a wink.
"Sure Jan, let's just go before Tamaki calls again." the girls say as they grab their bags and guitars to head out, also grabbing the snacks. The four head out to the twins limo to get their weekend underway. "What about Kyoya." Kaoru asks. "Oh that? We were just joking to get your reactions." Izumi says as she gets in the limo. "Cool cool." the twins say as they get into the limo, Kaoru sitting next to Izumi and Hikaru sitting next to Kazuna. The four make idle small talk during the ride to the school. As the twins decide to bring up playing the pocky game again, they arrive at the school. The twins sigh, 'missed our chance' they both think. Once everyone is together, they decide on the seating arrangements. (seating arrangement: Kyoya by door, Kazuna, Izumi, Mori and Honey on one side. Across from them, Tamaki by the partition, then Haruhi, and lastly the twins sitting across from the girls)
*At the beach house*
After everyone got settled and dressed for the beach, they realized that Kyoya had made it a hosting event. The girls groan and help Haruhi dress as a boy so she doesn't get overheated at the beach. By the time they all got back, the twins had started a game of volleyball with the guests. Since the girls couldn't hang out with them, they decided to go hang out with their boys, after making sure Haruhi was okay. They decided to split up, seeing as their boys were in different areas. Izumi going to where Mori and Honey were doing yoga and Kazuna going to help Kyoya with Tamaki's appointments. Kyoya needed the help seeing as Tamaki never paid any attention to the time and letting his appointments go long. Izumi enjoys her yoga time with Mori-kuuuuun, Mori helping her with her poses every now and then. The twins overheard Izumi as she was running to Mori, "Mori-kuuuuun! Help me with my downward dog~~~~~~~~!" Mori just looks at her from his pose and grunts in agreement. Noticing that Kaoru was staring, Mori purposely got closer to Izumi than needed, hands on her waist, FIRMLY GRASPING it. Mori looks up to see if Kaoru is still watching, locks eyes and smirks. Kaoru looks away, feeling sad, but tries to keep the guests happy anyways.
Meanwhile, Kazuna was sitting with Kyoya making sure that no one stayed past their set time. She sat next to Kyoya with her guitar, tuning it and glaring at Tamaki every time he tried to extend a guest's time. As she's tuning, she starts humming a song that's been in her head. Deciding she needed to write down the chords before she forgot them , she asked Kyoya for pen and paper. Kazuna starting to get lost in her songwriting doesn't notice that Kyoya has been sneaking glances at her, admiring her and her passion. Hikaru looks over at them and notices how close they are and that Kyoya keeps glancing at her. Hikaru, now upset, spikes the volleyball in their direction, almost hitting the pair. "Oopsies! Lost control!" Hikaru yells as he and Kaoru come to get the ball. Kyoya glares at him as he approaches, not happy with Hikaru trying to break them apart. As Hikaru goes to pick up the ball, Kaoru 'accidently' kicks the ball towards Izumi and Mori, almost hitting Mori in the face. Mori gets up as Kaoru comes to get the ball. Mori just stares at Kaoru, not saying a word, and hands the ball back. Kaoru takes the ball and slowly backs away, back to the volleyball court.
The girls, getting bored, decide they want to talk to an actual girl so they go to find Haruhi. They notice Haruhi under an umbrella talking to a few of her usual guests. As Haruhi sends her guests away to swim, the girls come over with their guitars, wanting to show Haruhi their new music. They talk with Haruhi about the new songs, playing a few chords and whatnot, attracting the attention of the guests and the hosts. A crowd begins to form around them so the girls take this as an opportunity to test their new songs. The girls share a look and start playing their song 'Take me away'. Kyoya, noticing how much the guests are enjoying this performance, makes a note to have the girls perform more often. As the girls finish their song, they hear a few guests calling to them from the cliff above them. "Come check out this view~!" One of the guests yells. Haruhi starts to head up to the cliff, worried about the few guests. Everyone slowly goes back to what they were doing and the girls decide to follow Haruhi, carrying their guitars on their backs.
As they were all taking in the view, they heard a bottle break on the floor behind them. They all turn around to see what was going on. A group of adult men decided to show up, clearly intoxicated. Kazuna and Izumi stand in front of everyone else, not wanting them to get hurt. "What do you coward ass bitches want?" the girls say together. "You ladies wanna have some fun with some older guys?" the leader guy asks. "No, you're on private property." Kazuna starts. "Yeah, take your bitch asses out of here." Izumi finishes. "Oh so we're alone then?" the leader guy says, giving them a look. Haruhi took the girls distraction to grab a bucket of shells and stuff and threw it on the guys, telling the guests to run and get help. Haruhi gets grabbed by one of the guys, Izumi and Kazuna go and try to beat the guy up to get him off her. As they're fighting, another guy grabs Izumi. Kazuna getting pissed remembers that she has her heavy ass electric guitar with her. She picks it up over her head and beats one of them with it. The leader decides that in retaliation he was going to throw Haruhi and Izumi off the cliff. As they head to the edge the leader says, "Either you come with us, or for your little stunt we throw them off the edge." Kazuna glares at them, "you wouldn't dare." The leader guy smirks, "suit yourself. Say bye to your girls bitch." and yeets them off the cliff. Plot twist, Izumi can swim, but as they were getting thrown off, Tamaki runs past them to save Haruhi.
As they resurface, Izumi glares at Tamaki and the hosts, "no I'm fine. Thanks guys. Thanks a lot. Totally feel appreciated." Kazuna runs to her sister, "BBY! I TRIED. DON'T HATE ME! I SACRIFICED MY GUITAR FOR YOU!" Izumi meets her sister on the beach and hugs her. "THANK YOU! YOU'RE MY LITERAL SOUL MATE. LOVE YOU!" The hosts look at the two girls confused and the girls turn to them and flip them off. "Rude ass rich bitches." The girls mumble and head back to the estate to go change clothes. As they walk away they over hear Tamaki basically yelling at Haruhi. The twins start to run after the girls, angry that they had done something like that. As they catch up to the girls the twins yell, "why would you do that?!" The girls turned around and said, "what did you expect us to do?! Get beat up or worse?" Kazuna adds, "we didn't want anyone getting hurt nor was I just gonna sit around and hopefully have someone save us." Hikaru, pissed, says "who you think you be?! Squarin' up on dudes." The girls glare at them, "why you fucking care biotches? No more petty bullshiiiiit. Real answer or we gone." The twins just stare at them in silence, still angry. "Well?" Izumi asks. "No more silent treatment. If you don't answer, we're gone gone. We're done dealing with this." the girls say together. Kaoru starts to understand why they did it and whispers to Hikaru, "you don't have to fully understand but you have to but you have to admit your feelings." After a moment, Hikaru lets out a breath, "Okay.. The real deal.. We all know how Kaoru feels but now it's my turn to admit it. I have feelings that I don't understand, they make me act in ways that I don't understand." Kaoru facepalms at Hikaru's response. "Could you not find a better way to explain this?" The girls just stare at Hikaru, "You gotta do better than that." The girls say together, arms crossed. Kaoru sighs and whispers to Hikaru , "Hikaru, I'll show you" and walks up to Izumi. As Kaoru gets close to Izumi, her eyes widen. "Izumi, I know I didn't fully explain how I felt earlier but I think now is the time to say it…. I like you, like really like you." Kaoru says, turning his head and blushing. Izumi, flustered and overwhelmed, says "I like you too." As soon as she finishes talking, Kaoru pulls her into a tight hug, releasing the breath he had been holding.
As Hikaru watches his brother confess he realizes that would explain all his feelings. No longer angry, HIkaru looks at his brother and Izumi and then at Kazuna and says, "oh shit."
