Chapter 15
"I always loved your writing" Wyatt said again walking beside her.
"I know, you said that already" She replied out loud.
She realised that they were all walking behind her.
"are you guys following me" They caught up to her, which wasn't hard because of how flow she was walking.
"no, we are going to Archie's house"
"okay" She pulled a cigarette out and lit it. The other gasped and shared wide eyes.
"you're smoking" Veronica pointed out.
"no shit Sherlock"
"who were you talking to?" Kevin asked.
"no one"
Cassie was stood in the distance waiting for Betty. "who's that?" "My aunt"
"where's your mom"
"at the farm I guess, haven't heard a word in 6 months"
"you're late." Cassie yelled.
"like you give a shit if I'm late" Betty yelled. "bye guys"
They were all sat in Archie's front room.
"It's worse than we thought. We all saw her leg today and she smokes"
"you know how her Instagram account was deleted" Veronica asked, they all nodded "well she was on one today. And I memorized the username"
Jughead got his laptop up and they all sat around it.
"it was. E_B_Coop7" Jughead typed it in and t brought up her page.

"oh my god, she's so different" They looked at the pictures of Betty and her style.
"she looks hot" They all glared at Kevin. "what? Someone had to say it."
They scrolled on to a picture of everyone together from when they went camping.
"these must have been her friends" They then scrolled onto a picture of Betty and Wyatt hugging.
"there's loads of B and this guy" They scrolled onto a picture of them kissing. "Oh my god."
"we need to tell her that we are investigating the farm"
"what?"
"come on guys, she's clearly pissed at her mom for leaving her." Veronica explained "and something bad obviously happened and that's why she's back and messed up. Maybe reminding her of what she used to love to do and finding her mom could fix her."
"Let's go over there now and talk to her"
They knocked on the door of the Cooper residence. Cassie answered.
"can I help you?"
"could we talk to Betty?" Archie asked.
"sure, she's in her room" They walked up and knocked on the door.
"Cass, I said I'll be down soon" She yelled opening the door. "oh, what do you guys want?"" Betty asked rudely.
"can we come in?"
Betty opened the door and sat back down on the bed, the kids stood awkwardly. "so?"
"we wanted to know if you wanted to join our farm investigation" Betty looked shocked.
"you might find your mom" Wyatt said. "do it"
"fine" They looked amazed that she'd actually agreed "so, what have you guys got so far?"
"quite a bit, Pops?" Jughead asked. Betty nodded.
"Cass, can you come help me down?" Betty shouted.
The others went and waited in the living room. Betty was leaning on Cassie coming down the stairs.
"how far away is pops. I can't have you tweaking something in your leg before the appointment tomorrow."
"okay, calm down. Its only like ten minutes away"
"I could drive you?" Cassie asked.
"no, no fucking way" Betty practically yelled. Cassie went into the kitchen to get a replacement drink for betty who put it in her crutch bag. They went back into the living room as the teens stopped whispering among themselves. "we're going now"
They walked, everyone was chatting except Betty. They got to pops and sat down.
"Betty, it's nice to see you again"
"you too pop" They all placed their orders.
"Betty?"
"nothing for me thanks" Pop nodded and walked off.
"you not hungry?" Veronica asked Betty pulled the meal drink out of her bag.
"not on solid food yet"
"What happened Betty?" Archie asked worriedly
"you don't have to tell them everything, just enough" Wyatt said
"it doesn't matter, we came to talk about the farm"
"we have evidence that they're dealing organs"
"woah, okay, same old Riverdale"
"we're planning to break in and find things that'll prove to the police that they're up to no good" Jughead explained.
"Anyway, I've been gone a while, what did I miss"
"me and Toni got together" Cheryl said Betty nodded approvingly.
"me and Archie are still together"
"you didn't actually miss much, we were just mainly looking for you" Betty felt guilty. And shuffled in her seat.
"I'm sorry for how I left, it was a shitty thing to do"
"don't worry about it, you're back now"
"where did you think I went?"
"at first we though the Blackhood had killed you. Then we just settled on maybe you'd been sent to New York and killed there"
"we were close with New York?"
"fuck no I was in Chicago"
Veronica flinched
"sorry, still getting used to the whole swearing thing"
"sorry I forgot how child friendly Riverdale is. Everyone plays by the rules here"
"except from the Serial killers" they all laughed.
"In Chicago swearing was the most PG thing we did. Then it all went to shit and I came back" Betty smiled at the start of the sentence but was frowning by the end.
"What is the most fun thing you did in Chicago" Cheryl asked trying to lift the mood up again.
"a few months ago, I was at a party, we were all high and the cops came and we ran across these fields and my friend Elijah slipped and got covered in mud and he got mad that we were laughing and he pulled us down into the mud with us."
"Betty Cooper doing drugs"
"never thought I'd live to see the day" Kevin laughed.
"I feel like we don't even know you anymore"
"me either" Betty whispered. They didn't hear her.
"why'd you give up writing?" Jughead asked, finally saying something.
"I was asked to write something for someone really special to me. But I just couldn't find the words"
"do you think you'll be able to find your words again?"
"we came here to discuss to farm" Betty reminded them
