Momo returned to school the next day and was greeted by 1-A with smiles. Momoka had contacted Principal Nezu the night before and made sure things were straightened out so she only needed to go to class, avoiding some of the more zealous reporters on her way in. Fortunately the school's security system made sure to keep them out.

Today was a good day for her return as well. U.A. had compiled the lists of offers from the sports festival. Aizawa displayed the totals for everyone to see for those who had received offers. Momo was surprised to see that she had still received over a dozen offers despite what had happened. For what reason she wasn't sure, but she would make sure to take advantage of the opportunity. She had to admit to being impressed at the sheer number of offers Todoroki and Bakugou had received.

The classes continued that day with the selection of hero names. Momo's own choice, Everything Hero: Creati, was met with a positive response from Midnight who was overseeing the name selection. Aizawa-sensei had decided to enter his sleeping bag for the day while names were chosen.

During lunchtime rumors had finally reached class 1-A, as well as the rest of the school. Power Loader's lab, the Development Studio, had been destroyed in an explosion last night. The rumors also said the explosion was caused by one of the Support Course students, Hatsume Mei, having entered the room against the rules and working on support items after class. She had even injured herself in the blast and was still at the hospital. Momo really hadn't befriended the girl during her time, but she was sad to hear about her injuries. She planned to go visit her as soon as she could.

After classes ended, Momo went to see Power Loader. Aizawa-sensei had informed her that he wanted to see her and as such she was finding his temporary work station. Upon arrival she saw that Professor Camille was also present. Power Loader turned as she entered the make-shift lab. "Ah, Yaoyorozu. Glad to see you were able to meet up today. We wanted to let you know that a new arm will be here in time for your internships. That is, if you still wanted to use it." Power Loader was excited at first, then seemed to realize the delicate situation and started to pull back a bit.

Professor Camille apparently wasn't having it. "Of course she wants to use it. That was just a minor setback, one she will easily overcome." The brown-haired teacher met Momo's eyes, almost daring her to disagree as a moment of silence passed.

Momo was ready to meet her head-on. "Of course I would like to use it. But I'm not sure it would be safe for others for me to do so."

"Then you should be glad that Power Loader and I have been working with I-Island. Let me explain."

Over the next hour Professor Camille brought Momo up to speed about how the arm's Neural Interface exceeded expected limits and interacted with her Quirk, something that was an unexpected side effect and no way anyone would have been able to realize could happen. As such the new arm would have a limiter placed on the Neural Interface to prevent just such a thing from happening again. In addition, I-Island took Hatsume's upgrades and worked them into the new arm to ensure it would operate more effectively. After the discussion, Momo still had doubts but was willing to give the prosthetic another chance. Fortunately while the Mark III was destroyed in Hatsume's explosion last night, her data had already been uploaded and transmitted to I-Island so that the arm would be programmed there and then sent to U.A.

After the discussion Momo left with the intention to go see Hatsume at the hospital before going home. Leaving the room, Professor Camille turned to Power Loader. "We should have told her everything. She's intelligent, I doubt she believes everything we told her."

Power Loader made sure the door was shut before responding. "And tell her what? We've already informed the police on everything and they agree with what we're doing. We don't know why the arm was re-programmed. We don't know who did it. We don't know if the bombing of my lab was connected to it. There are just too many things we don't know and making her freak out over it won't help, especially after what she's gone through."

Professor Camille tapped her foot angrily. "I personally think you and Nezu aren't giving her enough credit." A beep from Power Loader's computer took both of their attention. "Did your program recover any footage?"

Power Loader typed away for a minute and brought up an image of the hallway leading to the Development Studio. Everything seemed fine until the image just changed, showing the remnants of the explosion. However the act itself and anything leading up to it were normal. And even worse, the timestamps looked correct. "No changes. Could be an illusion Quirk of some kind, something that the cameras were able to pick up. But still no idea what actually happened."

The two shared a frustrated look between them.

As Momo rode towards the hospital she started taking stock of the conversation with Power Loader and Camille. They were obviously watching what they were saying, limiting what they told her. But why? Momo was having trouble putting the pieces together. She could feel everything trying to fit together as she took the elevator up to Hatsume's room.

Momo still hadn't figured it out when the nurse directed her to the right door. Lost in thought Momo had forgotten common courtesy and just went into the room. As she walked in a nurse suddenly stood up straight, apparently bent underneath Hatsume's bed. "Oh, hello. You startled me."

"My apologies, I must have forgotten to knock. Is everything all right?"

"Oh yea, just dropped my pen. All finished here, I need to get to my next shift."

Momo watched as the nurse walked out, pushing a cart with her. Her mind still working in overdrive, the entire interaction seemed off. For starters, the hospital used computers for data entry and the nurse didn't seem to have a pen on her. Also the cart had a defibrillator on it, why would she have needed that?

Momo came around to where the nurse was and took a quick glance under the bed, not sure what she was expecting to find. She looked to see a pack of what looked like clay, with a timer on it. She watched as it counted down 15. 14. 13.

Momo could feel panic try to take hold of her, but she pushed it aside. Hatsume would die if she didn't act. Momo rolled over the bed, hoping the pink-haired girl's injuries had been mostly healed, and using her one arm dragged her off the other side of it. The entire time she worked her Quirk as fast as she could and as the two landed against the far wall she could feel the mass push and tear out of the back of her uniform. She curled up quickly, grabbing Hatsume's legs as well as she could as the curved metal barrier popped out behind her. It took everything she had to get it out in time as the blast suddenly shook the room.

Waiting for the smoke to clear and the debris to settle, Momo tried to take stock of her situation. Shakened, she calmed herself and remembered her training, started assessing herself. Apparently a piece of the bed penetrated her barrier and cut along her side, but it was only a scratch and had mostly missed her. No other wounds she could find. Hatsume fared better having been protected by Momo. Though her eyes were now open and staring into hers, slightly confused. "I think Power Loader is going to be mad at me again."

Momo couldn't help herself but laugh. "I'm afraid you didn't cause that explosion, Hatusme. How are you feeling."

Hatsume went through the same check Momo had, identifying the spot where the IV had been ripped out of her arm. "Well I'm in different clothes than I normally wear and hugging a half naked girl in a room that's on fire."

At fire, Momo turned and saw that indeed there was a small fire starting. She pushed aside the barrier she had made and tried to make a fire extinguisher, only to realize she had not enough lipids remaining. Fortunately the door was opened and an orderly came in, extinguisher in hand while another orderly and a nurse came to help them out of the room.

Treatment administered the entire wing of the hospital was evacuated including Momo and Hatsume being brought to a different room so that they could both be fully examined. Particularly Hatsume as she had just been in a coma prior to the explosion, which she could not ignore the irony.

As she waited for the police to interview her regarding the incident, she tried to put her thoughts in order. "So my arm goes haywire somehow and nearly kills Tokoyami. Then the Development Studio gets blown up by Hatsume. Now someone tries to kill Hatsume. I think I'm beginning to see the pattern now."

Momo turns to her current roommate, who's eating a plate of food. "Hatsume, do you remember what happened when the Development Studio blew up?"

"Mei."

"Excuse me?"

"Please call me Mei. We've exploded together, I think that puts us to at least friends now, right?"

Momo couldn't decide whether to sigh or laugh, "All right, then Mei. Do you remember last night?"

"Of course I do RAG! I had forgotten my pass in the Studio so went back to get it. Then I saw someone sneaking out of the room. I wanted to see who it was when things went crazy."

"Please call me, Momo. And what do you mean by crazy? It exploded? Did the person you saw die?"

"Who's Momo?"

"I'm Momo."

"Ah. I'll probably forget soon. So anyway, RAG, by crazy I mean I couldn't see. Then things exploded."

"What do you mean you couldn't see?"

"Well see, I tried to use my Quirk to get a better look. My Quirk is Zoom. It lets me zoom in on things. Well I started to use it but then suddenly my eyes kept going out of focus, things became smaller and larger. Then things became all explodey."

"I don't suppose you could tell who it was before everything went crazy?"

"I do remember one thing."

"What's that?"

"They had boobs."

Momo wasn't sure how useful that bit of information was, but noted it in her head anyway. "So we're dealing with a girl then."

"Maybe. You should keep an open mind. All because they had boobs doesn't mean they were a girl. It could've been a robot with boobs. Or a boy with boobs I suppose. Though I would bet a robot with boobs."

"Mei, was the person a robot?"

"It would be cool if they were a robot! Then we could take it apart and find out how it works and make a better robot!"

Around this time the police had shown up to question them, shortly after by Mei's father who shared a similar hairstyle with his daughter. He offered thanks to Momo for saving Mei before Momo was asked to come with the police after being cleared by the doctor. Escorted into another room, Momoka greeted her daughter. "Can't you stay out of trouble for one day?"

"My apologies, Mother. But at least I managed to save my friend's life."

"So you're saying you're an overachiever when it comes to being a hero too? You don't even have your provisional license yet."

The officer present tries to intervene between the two, not realizing this was their normal behavior. "Please madam, I think we can forgive her for not having her license given the circumstances."

"Oh I see, going easy on her because she's a kid. But you're right, she did good."

Momo smiled at her mother's words, actually feeling good about saving her friend. She relayed everything she knew to the officer, including a description of the nurse who was in the room before her. After taking her statements, Momoka and Momo were driven home in their limo, the conversation mostly about the upcoming internships. The conversation eventually turned to the new prosthetic, Momoka already aware as she was financing the project.

Having returned home and finished dinner, Momoka dragged her daughter to the exercise room, having her change into workout clothes. "We're going to do some practice sparring, Momo. I hope you're ready for a workout."

"I think you might have an even bigger advantage all things considered, mother." Despite her protest, Momo still took up a fighting stance.

"If you think villains will care about your condition, then you should consider dropping out. They will be far less forgiving than I will." Momoka hadn't even finished her words before she had stepped towards her daughter and brought her right leg toward her left side. Momo, used to her mother's actions already had her right arm meet the kick, bringing her body around to lash out with a kick of her own. Momoka was also used to her daughter's style and blocked it. The two continued to exchange blows, the older Yaoyorozu consistently aiming to strike towards the younger's left. It took Momo all she could do to stay on defense and block her blows until eventually one managed to get through and hit her side.

Momo managed to back up after the strike, her mother backing away as well. "So daughter. Why aren't you using your Quirk?"

Momo could only stare for a moment. "Because you've always told me not to rely on it during our practice."

"You're right. But now you're a hero in training, learning to use your Quirk. Why don't you create a staff and show me those staff arts you're so fond of?"

Momo straightened herself and used her Quirk to generate a staff, realizing after it had formed that she couldn't properly wield it. Reinforced by her mother coming forward as soon as it was made and attempting to strike at her. Off balance with the weight, she took a hit in the stomach doubling her over before her mother brought her leg and sent Momo to the ground. "And now you've let your open taunt you. You never would have done that before. What's wrong?"

Momo looked up at her mother even as she massaged her stomach. "Well for starters, like I said, I only have one arm so I'm feeling a bit bullied right now."

"Your father and I didn't raise you to make excuses like that. Now what's really wrong."

Instead of getting back up, Momo just made herself comfortable on the ground. "What's wrong? What's wrong is that ever since U.A. started it feels like everything is going wrong. Aside from my arm, nearly killing my classmate. Nearly getting killed again in the hospital. My dreams. I'm just wondering if I may have made the wrong decision."

"Your dreams?"

Momo realized what she had said, "Never mind that."

"No, Momo, what kind of dreams are you having? The old ones again?"

"Yes but it's just nerves."

Momoka sat down next to her daughter and put an arm over her shoulder. "You should have told us. We could have done something."

"Like what?"

"I don't know. Started you on a therapist beforehand. Maybe some dream counseling. I'm sure someone has a Quirk somewhere that would help maybe. Maybe a spa trip? Just the two of us?"

Momo couldn't help but smile. "Thank you, Mother. I think this right here really helps. I need to focus on those around me, like you, who believe in me."

"And I'm sure you have friends at school as well. I mean, your class did show up after all."

"Yes, I do have a lot of good friends. The teachers as well. Even Professor Camille seems to be somewhat on my side."

Momoka lost her smile at the mention of the professor. "How is Camille doing? Anything strange there?"

Momo turned to her mother, the change in her voice obvious. "Nothing really. She's a bit hard to read at times and seems like she's trying to stay distant. Why do you ask?"

Momoka left the question hanging in the air and stood up. "Well, I'm sure you can trust her. There's a reason she's in charge of the prosthetic project. But if you need anything, just let me know. I think it's time for bed now though. Good night, Momo." With that, Momoka quickly left the gym and her daughter confused. In the end, Momo also went to bed with far more questions than she knew what to do with.
