I don't dance

Chapter 13

I could feel my stomach doing backflips. I hadn't seen Natsu since Friday, but he had asked me out on a date on Saturday and it was currently Monday morning. Cana, Laki and I had been the only ones who didn't have dates that Saturday evening, so Lucy had told us to go back to her place and wait for everyone there so that we could have some more girl time.

Now it was my turn today and the butterflies in my stomach wouldn't stop moving. They felt like they were ready to burst out of me.

"Is it a cereal day today?"

I snapped out of my thoughts when I turned around to see Gajeel rummaging through the fridge for the milk. His red eyes were suddenly on me as he was staring at me and I felt exposed. Somehow I felt like he was actually glaring at me but tried his best not to.

"W-why is Gajeel-kun staring at Juvia like that?"

Maybe because it was a Monday morning? I mean, he had some coffee in his hand and he was angrily staring at me as he took a sip of it. I know that he hates Mondays, just like a good majority of the population.

"What the fuck did you send that pink haired prick?"

"EEK!"

"DON'T 'EEK' ME! I NEED TO KNOW IF I HAVE TO BEAT UP THAT BASTARD!"

"No please don't! There's no need to fight anyone!"

Gajeel stopped as he looked at me. He came forward and raised his hand to place it on my head. I stared up at him, wondering what he was doing. He sighed.

"Don't think that just because I'm finally going to get the information I need on Raios that you're not my sister. I'll still be here for you, beating up every bastard who ever makes you upset. Just say the word and I'll always be there. I'm sorry if I've made you feel like a third wheel lately, especially with Levy always around and stuff, but I care about ya. At least Natsu is a better pick than that cunt ever was."

Gajeel never did manage to ever say Bora's name, he always hated him, even from before we dated. Rightly so I guess. I couldn't help but smile at Gajeel's words. I did feel like we were slowly drifting apart sometimes, but we were always there for each other at the end of the day. There were things I knew about him that he would never want Levy to know about and there were things he knew about me that I probably wouldn't want Natsu to know about either. He's my older brother.

I moved forward, wrapped my arms around him. He did the same to me too and we stayed there for a while.

"18 on Wednesday, huh? Gajeel-kun is becoming an old man."

"Shut it, ame. You'll be there soon."

I laughed and squeezed him a little bit before we released each other. We grinned at each other. Raios was finally going to be made known to us both and I couldn't wait.

"We need to get some shopping done. Wanna go tonight?"

I scratched the back of my head. "Ano, Juvia has a date tonight..."

He set his eyes on me again and I shivered. "Stop making Juvia feel on edge!"

"With flame boy? Gihehehe, where are you guys going?"

There was a glint in his eyes that was telling me he was going to come and crash my date to some capacity or at least drag Levy along to watch in secret. I shook my head, standing my ground. There was no way I was going to have him ruin my date! Not when it was technically one we had already been on before.

"Juvia's not telling you! Juvia will not have you and Levy ruining Juvia's date! Juvia won't allow it! So no, Gajeel-kun doesn't get to know."

He growled in annoyance at me, but I ignored him and snatched the milk from his hands to eat my cereal. I had been daydreaming so much about my date tonight that I had wasted the time I needed to cook, so cereal it was.

"Just do the shopping tonight by yourself, Gajeel-kun. Hopefully Juvia will be back in time to make some dinner. Juvia will know when Gajeel-kun is following her, so don't."

We held each other's glare for a little while longer before he shrugged and waited for me to pour out some milk before he poured his on top of his cereal.

"Well I guess I like that pink haired fuck a whole lot better than that dick. Still, whenever you need me to beat him, just say the word and I'm there."

I sighed before laughing and nodding my head. There was no point in stopping him, he was just gonna end up fighting Natsu anyway even if I didn't say anything. Besides, I thought it was nice of him to still have my back whenever I needed him to. I just hope it would never come to that, because I've had enough of being a liability to Gajeel. I couldn't rely on him to protect me forever.

"So what is Gajeel-kun doing after school?"

He sighed. "Gonna work on my bike. Gonna do as much as I can without the engine and then I'll cross that bridge when I get to it."

I smirked mentally. I already had Gajeel's present arriving tomorrow. It was a good thing he stays out late on Tuesdays and I can get the present delivered before he gets home.

"Okay then. Oh, Juvia also knows what she wants for her birthday!"

He gave me a look as if he couldn't believe what I was saying. "Mine hasn't happened yet and you're talking about yours? Selfish much?"

I rolled my eyes. "Juvia already has the perfect gift for Gajeel-kun arriving. Gajeel-kun never knows what to get Juvia and ends up asking the day before, so Juvia will just tell Gajeel-kun now so that he can prepare in advance."

He groaned, instantly not liking the sound of that. "Oh Kami, what do you want, woman?"

"Driving lessons and Juvia's not taking no for an answer."

He glared at me and I glared back at him. "Juvia doesn't understand what's so bad about her learning to drive."

"You just wanna drive away from me and never come back!"

I rolled my eyes as I continued eating. "Oh please, Gajeel-kun knows that will never happen. Juvia is here to be annoying forever. It's Gajeel-kun who wants to get rid of Juvia, which isn't going to happen."

He grinned at me before taking both of our empty bowls to wash up. "Juvia heard that it's going to be pretty cold all week. Gajeel-kun, please make sure you wrap up warm please."

He shrugged at me, clearly giving me no promises and I sighed in annoyance. The bell rang and I went to go and open it. I saw Levy standing there and behind her was Natsu. He grinned at me and Levy smirked at me, hitting me with a good morning before sliding around me to go and see Gajeel.

I shyly smiled at Natsu before letting him in.

"Good morning, Natsu-kun..."

"G'morning yourself. You ready for today?"

I blushed, thinking that he meant about tonight, but I realised he was actually talking about our English literature dance about MacBeth. I still blushed, thinking about the fact that this time we were going to be dancing together in front of the class.

"Juvia is ready. Oh, but let Juvia get her coat and bag."

I glanced over at him when I realised that he didn't seem to be dressed appropriately for the weather. I stood there with my hands on my hips and he glanced at me.

"What?"

"Isn't Natsu-kun cold?"

"Nope! I get really hot easily!"

I raised an eyebrow, still not convinced. "Juvia doesn't want Natsu-kun to catch a cold. But if he's so sure that he won't catch a cold, then Juvia guesses that she's okay with it."

I lifted my coat off of the hook and placed my scarf around my neck before sliding into it. I grabbed my bag and slipped on my shoes before calling out to Gajeel.

"Gajeel-kun, Juvia going now!"

I heard some quick movements as he came running out of the kitchen and Levy sighed as she followed him. I gave him an odd look as he glared over at Natsu who just seemed to glare back at him.

"Not without me you're not. Let's all walk together, the four of us."

Natsu didn't seem impressed and neither was I. This wasn't the first time that Natsu and I were walking together and we even walked to school together the first time ever last week Friday!

"Dude, are you joking?!"

Gajeel levelled him with a look, but that seemed to get Natsu more agitated. I could immediately tell that some sort of verbal fight was about to take place.

"Do I look like I'm joking?"

"You're pretty funny looking to me, clown."

"What did you just fucking say?"

"I didn't fucking stutter."

Levy and I sighed, glanced at each other and shook our heads. "Okay, well Juvia and I will be on our way to school and when you guys grow up, you can find us halfway there."

I snickered. "Juvia thinks we'll finish school and get back to find them still here if we're waiting for them to grow up."

Both of their heads snapped in our direction as Gajeel started scrambling to get his stuff ready and join us. We finally left the house, but Gajeel had decided to put himself in between Natsu and I and we both sighed and rolled our eyes. Natsu managed to move his head back when Gajeel wasn't looking and threw me a wink before moving his head forward. I blushed and twirled a strand of hair around my finger.

Levy patted my arm in sympathy and I pretended to sob out at her.

"Jellal did the same thing to me when I started dating Gajeel, it will wear off eventually. It's a weird guy thing that they all do."

I looked at her, confused as to why Jellal would protect her the same way that Gajeel did with me and she elaborated. "Jellal's my cousin. He lived even closer to the school than you guys do and he forced himself to meet me or drop me off school at the beginning."

My eyes widened. "How did Juvia not even know that you're related to Jellal-san?!"

Levy shrugged. "I don't actually know. Maybe because we hang out in different circles? That and he's a cousin, not a sibling. It's not like you would have ever seen him at my house or something. A few people don't really know just because we don't broadcast it."

I nodded my head with a pout. I really hadn't known that. I guess maybe because around the time that Gajeel and Levy started dating, I would force myself to go to school early and not third wheel with them. That and I would try to find out where Gray lived so I could...follow him.

Along the way, I noticed Cana walking. I perked up and waved madly, scaring the hell out of the others. I could hear Natsu's chuckle in the background. I felt myself blush a little at his laugh, but I was focused on Cana.

"Cana-chan!"

She looked up in shock before grinning and skipping over to me. "Morning beautifuls, how are we?"

She squeezed in between both Levy and I as she threw her arms over our shoulders and pulled us in tight. We both laughed along with her as she then looked over at Natsu. Once she looked at where he was stuck walking, she laughed at him.

"Oh ho, overprotective brother got you standing all the way over there I see?"

Natsu scowled and it made Gajeel laugh at how annoyed he was making Natsu. It was almost as if he lived to make him pissed off. Well, it was working. In fact, it was annoying me as well, but at least Cana was here this morning as well.

"You guys look like the fucking breakfast club."

We turned around to see Gray walking up behind us, hands in his pockets. I saw Cana's cheeks tinge pink a little bit, but she really managed to compose herself a lot better than I would have ever done. It was almost as if she didn't have a crush on him, it was amazing.

I looked over at Natsu and saw that he wasn't too impressed and neither was Gajeel. He smirked at them both, happy that they weren't happy to see him. Cana was pretty much the only one to respond.

"Gray, been a while, hasn't it?"

He looked at her, almost as if he was seeing her for the first time in years. You could genuinely see the surprise in his eyes when he saw Cana standing in between Levy and I. He then looked at the rest of the group, as if trying to figure out when we had all become friends. Cana looked away from him and whispered "jerk," under her breath. I guess she was annoyed that he didn't even greet her back and I even felt annoyed with him.

"Yeah, I guess it has been a while. How've you been?"

Mine and Gajeel's jaws dropped when we heard him speaking softly. I looked around at everyone else to see if they were shocked too, but Natsu motioned me over to come and walk with him and I grinned and walked around the opposite side of where Gajeel was looking. I slipped around him to make sure he didn't see me, but he was thankfully preoccupied.

"You have the ability to be NICE?!"

Cana blushed when she heard Gray take a soft tone with her and Gray's cheeks turned red. Whether it was from anger or embarrassment or even both, I couldn't really tell. But it was true. Gray actually sounded like he let his guard down around Cana, because I had never heard him speak with that tone a day in his life.

"I can be nice when I want to!"

"You're colder than a snowman, are you sure about that?"

Natsu snickered softly, but he held out his hand for me, offering it to hold. I glanced down at it and looked back up at him and he scratched the back of his head with the other hand, clearly quite embarrassed. I blushed at the thought of holding his hand, but I wasn't against it. My right hand slipped into his, fitting like a glove. I had held his hands many times, but very briefly as we danced. This time, I got to feel the power in his hands as his fingers clasped mine. Not too tightly, but strong enough for me to feel safe.

"Calm down Juvia, it's only hand holding. But eek, it's Natsu's hand!"

"Let's see how long we can walk together before they stop arguing and iron man over there realises that we're walking together."

Natsu chuckled which made me giggle softly as we looked over at the two guys arguing. Cana and Levy were talking away, occasionally giving us a smirk which made my cheeks burn. The school gates were finally coming into view and Natsu and I were still walking together.

"Are you sure you're happy with where we're going tonight? I mean, we've already been bowling once before and I don't want it to seem like I don't have any fun or different ideas-"

"Natsu-kun. It's fine. It's better than fine, it's great."

I looked up at him with a smile. I saw his own cheeks turn the same colour as his hair as I had to stop myself from laughing. It was so cute seeing him flustered! All those times I thought I was imagining him blushing at me was real! It felt so good to know I wasn't the only one.

"Juvia is fine going anywhere with Natsu-san, as long as it's somewhere that doesn't lead her to her death. Juvia is happy to go anywhere with Natsu-kun."

"Aww, Juves, you're so cute!"

I definitely turned red. "Sh-shut up!"

He laughed out at me, which in turn caught Gajeel's attention. I had never seen the glare that Gajeel gave Natsu in my life. This one gave a look of promise to torture and then slowly kill Natsu. Both Natsu and Gray, who it wasn't even aimed at, were almost paralysed with fear.

"Huh? When did you get there? Oh! DON'T GRAB MY HAIR, WOMAN!"

Levy sighed with frustration. "Leave them the hell alone, they're not doing anything different from what we usually do, are they? No. Besides, when Jellal used to do it to me, you promised you would never do this to Juvia."

Gajeel grumbled which made me raise an eyebrow at his audacity. He didn't even bother looking at me to issue some sort of apology. I rolled my eyes at his impossible behaviour and turned to Natsu as we got through the school gates.

"Juvia will see Natsu in literature?"

He nodded down at me with a grin. "You know it. Want me to walk you to your form?"

I pouted and shook my head. "No way. Juvia doesn't want Natsu to be late. Juvia will be fine, go."

He laughed as I gently pushed him in the direction of his own class. Everyone else was already heading towards their own classes. Gajeel gave Levy a kiss on the lips and Cana waited for me to finish with Natsu so they could walk to their own class together. Natsu waved at me.

"See ya later!"

I waved back at him and was surprised to see Gray waiting there for me. He glanced up from his phone and nodded in the direction of our class. I silently nodded and was grateful when I felt someone jump on my back. A blessing in disguise.

"Morning!"

"Good morning, Jenny-chan!"

She groaned as she got off of my back. "Oh yeah, what's so good about Monday mornings? I can't be fucked for today. Buuuut, I've done all my homework for this week, so that's a bonus."

Gray looked over at Jenny with a look of disbelief. "You've done your homework? Isn't that what you spend every morning in form tryna catch up for the day that your work is due?"

Jenny placed her hands on her hips with an exasperated sigh. "Why, don't believe in me?"

Gray laughed as we walked. "Show me or it never happened."

"That's cheap, you just wanna copy me. No can do ice boy."

I shook my head at their interaction and smiled as we continued to walk. They were both bickering with each other until I heard my name in their conversation. I looked over at them both and Jenny was beaming.

"My homework was done because I did it with Levy and Juvia! I'm not failing anything this year when I have them by my side. Shame it can't be said for you though."

Gray raised an eyebrow, rising to the bait. I don't even know what's worse, Jenny and Gray arguing, Gajeel and Gray arguing or Natsu and Gray fighting. I guess we were just lucky that Gajeel didn't throw a punch on our way to school this morning.

"What's that supposed to mean?!"

"That you're stupid."

I could already see where this was going and I didn't really want to be stuck in the middle of their argument. Not when I basically was in the middle of the Natsu and Gajeel argument for a better part of this morning.

"Juvia is going to go on ahead and go straight to form. Bye!"

I walked off quickly and I could hear them trying to keep up with me. I didn't want to be late. There was no way I was going to get a late detention after school when I was meant to be preparing for a date. No way, they could argue amongst themselves.

We finally made it into our form class with loads of time to spare and Jenny plopped herself down into the seat next to me.

"So, I've decided that I'm going to help you get ready for tonight. This is very important you know! We need you looking hot and fierce for Natsu."

She purred at me which made me jump because I wasn't expecting it and then I could feel my face heat up as well. I rolled my eyes when she started laughing at my seemingly innocent reaction, but then I snickered when she was told to shut up for being too loud on a Monday morning.

"Juvia isn't objecting to Jenny's help. It would really be much appreciated, thank you."

She blushed and patted my head, which reminded me of how patronising she was towards me for being younger than her. I rolled my eyes at her as Gray decided to get involved with our conversation. It made me raise an eyebrow at his behaviour, but I decided not to really comment. I mean, he was so against me hanging out anywhere near him when I used to like him. Now that I was no longer into him and he had said all those rude words to me, it was almost like we were becoming really good friends. It was...odd. I mean, I didn't want to be seen as bitter, but I hadn't really forgiven him just yet.

"Why would you need to help her? Last time I checked, Juvia was the smart one, not you."

I sighed. Why wasn't anyone just nice anymore? Why did everyone want to argue so early on a Monday morning? Normally, I don't think it would bother me so much, but my nerves were frazzled right now and no one was helping. The dance for mine and Natsu's literature class was later on today and then we had a date in the evening. Everytime that I had danced with him, it had been fine. You know, just a little crush, not really acting on it so I could hold it together. Now I knew that he shared the same feelings as me, it really did set my whole world on fire.

I couldn't help the smile that crawled its way onto my lips, almost forgetting that Gray had asked me a question. Well, it was Jenny who responded for me and she sounded extremely smug. She was definitely getting back at him for technically calling her an idiot.

"Well not like it's any of your business because I wasn't actually talking to you, but Blue here has a date. I'm gonna help her look downright sexy tonight."

Gray opened his mouth as if he had something to say, but then he closed it quickly. Jenny flipped her hair over her shoulder, happy that it got him to shut up and I was just confused. Why would that even be his reaction? He must have been shocked that maybe someone would actually like me? I mean, I would be surprised too. Between getting treated like crap with Bora and Gray himself ignoring everything I did, I wouldn't have thought that someone was interested in me too.

"Is it by any chance Natsu?"

He wasn't even looking at me and when I was going to respond again, Jenny nodded her head.

"Why yes it is! Your friend decided to be in charge of the honours of making Juvia a very happy girl. Why, you upset that you lost your one and only fangirl?"

Okay, now this wasn't some sort of rude banter. This was straight up venom. Jenny's eyes were hard as Gray's head snapped back over to her. I shrunk back in my seat, not really wanting to get in between them, but I physically was. Jenny was sitting next to me on the right and Gray was sitting on the next table over to my left hand side. I was just wishing the bell would go off now so that we could all leave and go to our next lesson. Jenny didn't look like she was impressed with Gray.

"Why the fuck are you getting prissy with me? It's not like you were ever nice to Juvia."

I glanced over at Jenny to see how she was going to counter that comment. At least she had the decency to look ashamed at the way she had treated me in the past.

"You're right, I was a total bitch to Juvia for no damn reason. The difference between me and you is that I apologised for the way that I treated her. Did you?"

I started playing with the zip on my school bag. She was actually right. While Jenny had apologised for everything that she had done to me and we had become friends, Gray hadn't done that. He had pretty much slotted himself into my life with the others as if he had always been there. It was okay though, I had pretty much ignored him in favour of Natsu, but now Jenny had confronted him about it.

Gray was silent and I could tell that he wasn't sure if he needed to apologise for what he had said and done right now or if he had to do it at a time that would be more meaningful.

At that moment, the bell rang and I released a breath of relief. I was literally saved by the bell and I couldn't be anymore happier. I grabbed my bag and said a quick goodbye to the both of them. I had maths right now and the pair of them weren't in my class. That was a class I had with Levy. I briefly wondered if we would have a test coming up soon.

I bit my lip as I entered my English class. My eyes immediately flew over to my table where Natsu had been sitting for the last few lessons. To think that about three weeks ago, we had never even spoken. He was just someone that was in my class and I never took any notice of him because he never took any notice of me. Or so I thought. I was so focused on Gray that no other guy mattered to me. Other than Gajeel and Raios of course.

The moment I walked into the room, it was like Natsu could sense that I was there because he turned away from Hibiki and turned to face me. I must have looked stunned because I just stood there, staring at him. He grinned at me, that easy grin that I had become so accustomed to. It was so contagious and soon enough he had me grinning as well.

I felt a little poke in my back and when I turned around to see who that was, I saw Jenny smirking at me. I felt my face heat up as I blushed.

"You're in my way and lover boy is waiting for you. You're holding up the rest of the class."

I turned to look behind her and it made me scuttle over to my seat on the double. She really wasn't joking. I had held some people up from getting to their seats all because I was staring at Natsu. The said guy couldn't help but chuckle under his breath at me and I pushed him lightly.

"It's not funny."

"It's kinda nice knowing that I'm hot enough to stop traffic."

I rolled my eyes at his ego expanding, but I knew that I was still blushing. "If that's what Natsu believes."

"It's what I know."

At that moment, I watched as Gray crossed the classroom and made his way over to his seat. I felt Natsu's eyes follow mine and he stiffened next to me when he saw who I was looking at. I wasn't stupid. Gray was the guy that I used to be 'in love' with and me staring at him right now wasn't a good look. I lightly touched Natsu's hand to bring his attention back to me. It worked as I smiled softly at him.

"Him and Jenny got in a little argument earlier and it was to do with the fact that Jenny apologised for being rude to me and Gray never did. Jenny called him out on it and it was so awkward. Juvia was just making sure he's okay."

I could physically see Natsu relax at the explanation. I wanted him to know that he had nothing to be scared about when it came to my feelings and Gray. He was no longer someone I wanted in my life in that way. My so-called crush was nothing but some sort of admiration because of the simple fact that he was the first person to speak to me in this school. Sad, but true.

"Well, Jenny's right. He ain't apologised."

"And no one's going to force him. Juvia doesn't want to receive an apology where he was forced to do something. It won't be genuine then. He'll just be doing it to get everyone to stop pressuring him into apologising. Anyway, is Natsu ready?"

"I was BORN ready!"

"Must you always be loud on a Monday, Natsu?"

Lahar-sensei had stepped into the classroom sighing with a mug of coffee in his hands. Natsu grinned at him, a sign to let him know that he was going to be loud regardless of the day of the week it was. The man rolled his eyes and beckoned him up.

"Well because of that, I guess you won't mind showing up what you and Juvia have prepared for us, will you? Everyone, start moving the tables backwards so that we have enough space for this lesson. Don't forget, I'm marking you based on originality and delivery. I want clear words and good interpretations of the scene that you have picked. I want every single word said word for word."

"What?! But what if we can't remember them?!"

Hibiki didn't sound too pleased and Jenny was standing next to him, her arms crossed. I could make out the tinge of pink on her cheeks and grinned to myself. Lahar-sensei gave Hibiki a bored look. He definitely woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

"Then you get marked down. Although you're doing this in pairs, you are still being marked individually. That way, if one person ruins it for the both of you, it doesn't affect the person who was doing okay."

"Don't worry Hibiki. We've practiced this enough. You'll be fine."

Natsu snorted lightly from next to me. I watched the way he rolled his eyes at Jenny supporting Hibiki and I nudged my elbow into his side. I thought they were being cute. Natsu grinned at me in response. "Gonna guess that their date was a success then?"

I nodded my head, remembering the way Jenny described her perfect date the night she came back. Yeah, Hibiki definitely treated her like a Princess on their date. Had I been a bit younger or maybe even still into Gray, I would have been jealous hearing that. I always wanted the Princess treatment, but the more I matured, the more I realised that that wasn't how I wanted things to be. The idea of just being with the person I like was more than enough for me.

"Well, I'm gonna make sure that our night is gonna be even better than theirs, I promise you that."

I looked into Natsu's eyes, his easy grin still lingering on his lips. I ducked my head, blushing slightly as I started using my right foot to draw circles into the floor. I could barely think straight when he said things like that!

"Juvia doesn't doubt that at all."

I heard him chuckle as he muttered the words "cute," under his breath. I hadn't heard him call me things like that in so long, it made me feel fuzzy that he was doing it again.

"Natsu and Juvia, you're up."

Natsu's head swiveled into Lahar-sensei's direction. "Wait, what?! Why?!"

"Because you have the most amount of energy and your last name is close to the top."

"Fuck sake," he muttered under his breath, clearly not impressed that we were now amongst those who basically had to go first. I personally didn't mind. It meant that we were now getting it over and done with and we would be able to not necessarily pay attention to everyone else after ours. I smiled at Natsu and hesitantly reached out for his hand.

He looked up at me the moment I made contact and I flashed him a smile, while using my head to indicate that we should make our way over to the centre of the classroom. Many people were probably waiting to see what we had up our sleeves anyway.

"Come on Natsu-kun, let's get this over and done with quickly, ne?"

"Yeah, sure."

I heard Hibiki laugh and Gray was next to him coughing out something that sounded a lot like "whipped." I heard them both getting hit by Jenny as I decided to ignore the pair of them, mentally thanking Jenny.

"Lahar-sensei, Juvia and Natsu picked MacBeth."

I saw the man raise his eyebrows with an impressed nod. "Nice pick. It's refreshing to see two students not do Romeo and Julliet."

I could practically hear the whole class bristle at the slight jab and you could tell that the man was ready to see nothing but a bunch of Romeo and Juliet acts. On top of that, it looked like a good majority of the class wouldn't really get a lot of marks based on originality.

Natsu and I danced the way that we had been practicing, lacing our lines into every move that we had. The whole classroom was silent, no one spoke as they watched us do what we had to do. It was amazing, even though I wasn't focused on any of them. My eyes never left Natsu's as he stared into mine.

"Well done you two. I can see why you were scouted for the competition that is about to take place nationwide. I'm very impressed."

I hadn't even realised when we had even stopped. Our scene was over and so was our dance. My cheeks burned red as we nodded to the man and made our way to the back of the class. Guys were hooting at Natsu while some girls were fanning themselves. I smiled a little bit. The dance wasn't even hot or anything. Compared to what we had done in the showcase, this was pretty dead and tame. Still, it was enough to get some people to compliment us while Natsu had to shake off as many guys as he could, asking if we were dating.

"Of course we are, so don't fucking try anything!"

My heart skipped a beat as I was reminded of last Friday when Natsu was ready to beat up those three guys who had spoken out of line about me. I placed my hand over my heart, trying to get it to calm down. A lot of the guys grinned nervously as they nodded and moved away from the both of us, clearly not wanting to get in a fist fight with someone as crazy as Natsu. It reminded me of how he almost beat up those guys in PE last week.

"Natsu, watch your language."

"Oops, sorry sensei."

Natsu didn't look sorry in the slightest.

So how was that chapter? I hope you all enjoyed it! Writing this story has made me realise how hard it really is writing in 1st person POV. I feel like switching to the 3rd, but I started this story in 1st, so 1st I must finish it in. That and I did start this story many years ago.

Please don't forget, please or rate, flames or floods! Please let me know how you thought this chapter went!
