Author's Note: Okay, I'm sorry about the technical difficulty WHICH WAS NOT MY FAULT! I posted this chapter before and it kept fading in and out of existence. Sometimes, the link would take me to the chapter and sometimes it would just tell me that the chapter is not found. The story even went back and forth between saying it had 32 chapters and 33 chapters. Last time I checked the chapter was able to come up, but like I said, it could sometimes do that before. So I wanted to delete it and reuploaded it to both try to get rid of the glitch and send another notification to let you know it should be working now. Again, I would like to say that this is NOT MY FAULT and I still retain my perfect record of uploading every week.

Chapter 33 Reuploaded

Most everyone there knew who Anna was. The Enchantress had told her beasts much about the royals. The suits of armor would have just attacked her, but the beasts stopped them, curious to see what Anna's plan was. Ariel was pinned down by the black horse-beast who had was putting his weight on Ariel's trident. Elsa stood on her platform, dumbstruck by her sister's arrival. "Anna, get out of here!" Elsa cried.

Anna just gave her a playful look before she addressed the Enchantress's forces. When Anna spoke, she waged her finger and tried to sound like she meant business; not that she succeeded. "Listen up! I should wipe out every last one of you just for looking at my sister the wrong way!"

Elsa thought she was about to have a panic attack. Elsa whispered, "Anna, what are you doing?" Elsa dared not attack the enemies; it would have set them off again. It was better for them to stay passive and keep looking at Anna with curious eyes.

Anna continued, "But since I'm feeling especially nice today, I'll consider not turning you into jam if you're all out of here by the time I count to ten!"

Everyone just stared at her for a moment longer before the beasts exploding into an onslaught of laughter. Some of them laughed so hard they clutched there aching guts or hang onto each other so they wouldn't fall over. After the laughter started to die down, a familiar-beast stepped forward and said amused, "We know you don't have any powers, little queen."

Elsa thought, "Apparently they do talk."

The familiar-beast continued, "You can't possibly 'wipe out' every last one of us."

"I can't," Anna said, faking surprise.

"No you can't," the familiar-beast said with even more amusement.

Only pretending to be frustrated, Anna kicked a nearby rock and said, "Darn! I really thought I could fight you off." Anna shrugged, brightening up. "But, hey, if I can't, maybe my friends can."

The familiar-beast dropped his smile and asked, "What friends?"

"You'll see." Anna turned around and sang four notes.

The beasts were less amused when they heard and felt the ground tremble. The earth was being shaken by a chorus of thundering steps that were getting closer. The two horse-beasts were surprised to see something over the trees that the other beasts didn't have a view of yet.

Elsa stared at Anna and said, "You didn't."

Anna replied smugly, "I'm pretty sure that I did." Anna crossed her arms confidently and smiled as she waited for the real fun to begin.

A few arrow-beasts decided they had seen and heard enough from Anna and shot at her. A powerful gust of wind launched out of hiding and swirled around Anna absorbing all incoming arrows. It was Gale, the wind spirit. Anna's hair flapped in the wind and her smile only grew.

Bruni ran out of hiding and attacked the familiar-beast that had step forward. Bruni crawled all over the familiar beast, setting fire to his fur. Bruni jumped off of the burning familiar-beast and spat fire onto the wooden arrow-beasts, setting them on fire as well.

The three earth giants responsible for the shaking were finally close enough to be seen towering over the trees. Allister tackled the black horse-beasts off of Ariel while Kirk hit the white horse-beast with a heavy right cross. Roland offered Ariel a hand and, once she accepted it, he helped her get up.

The Nokk ran out of hiding, wearing a saddle made of water and when he got to Anna, she grabbed on and mounted the water spirit without even requiring him to stop. Gale moved away from Anna, not needing to shield her anymore. The Nokk would keep her moving too fast for anything to hit her. The Nokk rode around the battlefield ramming and kicking enemies while his rider shouted excitedly her instructions to the spirits. "Bruni, the metal ones aren't flammable! Leave them to the others! Gale, make sure none of them reach Elsa!"

Gale flew around Elsa's ice platform, knocking off those who tried to climb it and often blowing them into an impalement on icicles Elsa had already made.

Anna called out, "Alistair!"

"'Alistair?'" Elsa repeated with much confusion.

"Give Ariel an opening to use her trident on that monster!" Anna instructed while pointing to the corrected people.

Alistair, the earth giant that had a name, did as instructed and more. He picked up the black horse-beast and body slammed it on top of dozens of the far smaller beasts and suits of armor. Alistair held the black horse-beast down, allowing Ariel to plunge her trident into its heart and kill it.

With one of the horse-beasts dead along with most of the nearby beasts, Anna said, "Gale, help the others in the city! We'll finish up here and meet you there!" Gale flew to the city as instructed, while Elsa worried, wrongly, that he might do more harm than good.

Roland and Kirk battled the white horse-beast, getting closer and closer to the city as it kept trying to avoid their attacks and they kept pursuing. Elsa watched in horror as the earth giants came too close to the houses. The white horse-beast kicked Kirk, sending him stumbling backwards, about to land on a house that most likely had people inside it. Elsa's heart skipped a beat. But Roland grabbed Kirk's hand and pulled hard enough to keep him from landing on the house, saving everyone inside.

Elsa let out her breath, relieved and impressed that Roland prevented the tragedy. Elsa wasn't sure, but it looked like Roland understood that there were humans in there despite him spending most of his life in a forest.

Alistair threw a bolder into the back of the white horse-beast's back, leaving it open for another attack. Roland kept pulling on Kirk's hand, springing him into a rush toward the white horse-beast. Kirk punched the white horse-beast hard enough to knock it down. Not letting it get up, Ariel stabbed the horse-beast just like the last.

The other beasts were starting to panic. The two horse-beasts were dead along with much of their numbers. The cultists had already been wiped out completely and the royals had received powerful reinforcements.

The few beasts around Elsa and Ariel, that weren't dead, all ran away; for real this time. The suits of armor, being fearless, fought on, but it didn't take long to destroy the last of them.

Anna rode on the Nokk and Elsa, Ariel, and Bruni ran to the city to help the others. Elsa saw Gale turning into a tornado that was moving quickly toward a gathering of beasts fighting soldiers of Atlantica. Elsa's heart skipped another beat. She thought that Gale would attack all parties involved no matter whose side they were on. "No, no, no, no, no," Elsa said in a panic. Gale swept through the battlefield, sucking up the beasts and . . . no one else. Elsa couldn't believe her eyes. Gale moved right passed the soldier without even giving them a harsh breeze. The beasts were absorbed into the tornado and the soldier weren't even if the soldiers were closer. Gale just knew who he should and should not attack. Gale spat the beasts out into impacts that made it easy for the soldiers to finish them off. "How . . ." Elsa's voice trailed off after just one word. The spirits were doing things she had never seen them do before. "How . . ." Elsa couldn't wrap her head around this. The spirits were being so careful with people. And they could tell easily who not to hurt.

This was the perfect battleground for a water spirit. The Nok rode through the city, controlling the water from the lanes and used it to strike down the beasts and suits of armor. Every so often, Elsa found a small fire left behind by Bruni. She put them out with her ice blasts as she found them, but there was no telling how many there were.

Phillip, Merida, and Fauna couldn't find Rapunzel. Phillip and Merida were both hurt and in need of her healing incantation. Merida was getting itchy at the sight of a battle she couldn't participate in and Phillip couldn't stand seeing Merida in the battered state he had been tricked into inflecting. As they went, Fauna alone defended them. She had not gotten Phillip nor Merida killed yet, but she was certainly struggling in her efforts to fight back the beasts.

"I had hopped Aurora would prevail in battle against you," said a surprising voice that made their blood run cold. "But I can see she came close."

"Och, not now," Merida said in her battered state.

The Enchantress expect Fauna to beg for mercy. Phillip and Merida thought Fauna would attack her. But Fauna found a way to surprise everyone. She stood firm and asked as a scolding, "Are you proud of yourself, Lenore?"

The Enchantress knew Fauna well enough to be surprised by this. Out of the three good fairies, Fauna was the least bold and least strict. And yet even she had had enough of the Enchantress's crimes. Fauna continued, "Look around at all this destruction! Is this what you wanted?!"

"I didn't think the cultists would behave as they had," said the Enchantress, feeling the need to defend herself. "But I've fixed my mistake. The cultists have been dealt with."

"Are you still trying to pass yourself off as the hero here?"

"Who else would be?!" snapped the Enchantress. "The tyrants you insist on protecting?"

"Tyrants aren't selfless or forgiving," Fauna countered. "Cinderella has completed the Challenge of Selflessness and Rapunzel has completed the Challenge of Forgiveness. How could tyrants do that?"

The Enchantress didn't want to admit that Fauna made a good point. She couldn't think of counterargument, so she instead she wrapped a whip around Fauna's waist and threw her into a wall. She rushed toward Phillip and Merida. The Enchantress struck Phillip down with an emerald covered fist and then grabbed Merida by the throat. The Enchantress prepared to bash her head in, but Merida said, "Too scared to use the claws this time, are ya?"

The Enchantress stopped, knowing in the back of her mind that Merida was right to say that.

Merida continued, "If you use those claws; turn me into a statue, there might be a chance they can change me back. So you'll just put a hole in muh scull. The Undoing Relic won't fix that. Seems to me that you're worried. Because you know we've got all the goodness we need to get the rest of the pieces. You're afraid that we're the good ones and you're the villain, aren't ya?"

The Enchantress's fist shook as she tried to convince herself that Merida was wrong.

"Go ahead," Merida taunted. "Kill me the old fashioned way. Prove that you don't think you the hero. I dare ya!"

The Enchantress tried to do it, but she couldn't. Her anger was boiling as she shook, uncontrollably haunted by the possibility that she was wrong. The Enchantress cast Merida to the ground instead of killing her. She removed the emerald from her fist and turned around.

The Enchantress stood there with her back to Merida. Looking around at the battle that her side was losing, the Enchantress knew it was time to leave. "I will find you in Corona five days from now," the Enchantress told Merida. "Have the Undoing Relic prepared for my arrival . . . if you can." Then, the Enchantress turned into three balls of fire and flew away.

With the Enchantress gone, Merida rushed to Phillip's side, calling out to him. "Phillip! Are you alright?!"

He had been hit hard after already being put in bad shape, but he was still breathing. "I'm . . . alright," he replied. Merida also checked on Fauna and found that she was still breathing. The three of them would all make it to the end of the battle.

Merryweather had left Aurora in a make shift jail cell; one with metal bars arranged in a circle around her. But with no on to guard her, the jail cell wouldn't be enough. It would later be found with two bars removed from the earth and no prisoner inside. She didn't have the magic wand anymore, but Aurora had escaped.

The enemies' numbers were getting low. As the spirits kept bashing through the beats and suits, Eugene came next to Elsa with his arms crossed and said, "You have been holding out on us."

Elsa's mind was tripping over itself, trying to think of a useable response. Elsa said, almost in hysterics, "They've never been like this before! I don't know what's going on!"

The earth giants marched carefully through the city streets. They didn't want to risk destroying a house so their actions were limited. But their intimidating presence gave the beasts one more reason to run away. Between the royals and the spirits, it was not long before every suit of armor was destroyed and every beast was either dead or running away. The royals had almost lost, but Anna had brought with her the turning of the tide and the day was won.

Elsa hurried to find Bruni and get him to extinguish the fires. She found him, but she actually didn't need to "get him" to do anything. Bruni focused and all the remaining fires were put out.

Anna arrived, riding on the Nokk and said to Bruni, "Good boy! I didn't even need to remind you that time."

Anna got off of the Nokk and turned her attention to the earth giants. "The fight is over and we don't want to disturb people! It's time for you to put on your quiet shoes!"

"'Quiet shoes?'" Elsa repeated. She thought, "What is she talking about?"

The earth giants focused and their feet began to glow with white shining through the cracks in the earth that their feet were made of. The next time one of them took a step, there was no sound; at all. There wasn't any vibration in the ground. The massive earth giants didn't even leave foot prints.

Elsa gripped the sides of her head with her eyes and mouth wide open as she stared at the impossible sight she was witnessing, her mind a hundred percent blown. "Seven years!" Elsa thought. "I was around these spirits for seven years and I never knew that 'quiet shoes' were something they could do!"

Anna addressed all the spirits saying, "Great job, everyone! You all make me so proud! I knew you were capable great things, and today, you proved me right! There might be more beasts out there, but after what I just saw, I think we can handle just about anything!"

Anna looked at Elsa and gestured at the spirits who she had trained to do so well. "Huh?!" Anna said proudly and excitedly while she gestured toward some of the spirits. "HUH?!" she said again while gesturing to the others. "What can I say except 'you're welcome?'"

Elsa shook her head, hopelessly baffled by that day's events. "How did you get them to do that?!"

Anna shrugged. "Oh, a little patient education here and little getting to the root of the problem there. Pretty impressive, huh?"

Elsa was on the brink of tears. She threw her hands in the air in emotion devastation as the ground beneath her began to frost. And yet she said, "Anna, this is wonderful."

Anna replied, confused, "Uh . . . you sound happy, but you look miserable."

Elsa started crying, putting a shaking hand to her forehead. "Anna, you've done in six days what I couldn't do in seven years!"

"Oh, Elsa," Anna said, feeling for sister. Anna was just trying to brag about her accomplishment; she didn't mean to shame Elsa for not doing the same.

"I've been keeping them cooped up in the Enchanted Forest when I should have been helping them to function in the outside world. I thought it was impossible because I couldn't do it, but now I see . . . it wasn't them, it was me!" Elsa shook her head, thinking, "No! I can't go back into the darkness! I can't!"

Anna grabbed Elsa hands to comfort her.

Tears slid down Elsa's cheek as she said, "I'm a failure, Anna."

"No, you're not, Elsa. You . . . Elsa, I'm the failure. I was never as good a queen as you were."

Elsa sniffled and wiped a tear from her cheek. "What?"

Anna admitted, "I . . . I never told you how bad I was doing because . . . I didn't want to ruin this for you. I thought that being with the spirits in the Enchanted Forest was what you wanted. I didn't want to take that away from you by asking you to come back. But the truth is I'm a terrible queen. And you were the best queen Arendelle ever had."

Elsa didn't believe that. "Anna, I know from experience how hard it can be to tell how good a queen you are, but I know you are a great-"

"I fell asleep in eight meetings!" Anna said, cutting her off.

"You did what?"

"I fell asleep in eight meetings," Anna repeated. "And I lost all trade agreements between Genovia."

"Well, there are bound to be mistakes early on. How long ago did this happen?"

"It was last month," Anna clarified. "I'm tired of not getting better at this. I hate being queen." Anna suddenly felt liter. "I hate being queen," Anna said again, a bright smile lighting up her face. She declared to the heavens, "I HATE BEING QUEEN!"

"Uh . . . you sound miserable, but you look ecstatic."

"Oh, it feels so good to finally say that!" Anna put a hand on Elsa's shoulder and said, "Don't feel bad, Elsa. At least you made some progress these past seven years. And you really were the better queen."

Elsa looked at Anna, with hope rising in her heart. "And you really were the better spirit trainer."

They both stared at each other, knowing what the other sister was thinking. Elsa showed her first smile all day and said, "Anna . . . we should switch!"

Anna said in realization, "They told us that we were meant to be the bridge between humanity and the magic of nature. We always assumed you should be on the magical side because of your powers and I should be on the human side. But that . . ."

"But that doesn't make any sense!" Elsa laughed, finishing her sentence. "We should have done this from the beginning. If we wanted to bridge the gap and bring everyone closer, we should have had the human sister on the magical side and the magical sister on the human side! That's why you could help the spirits to do well around humans, Anna. You're more human than I could ever be."

"And you! You always showed magic to the people in Arendelle when you were queen. I can't bring magic to humans the way you did." Anna didn't need long to think about it. "Let's do it!" she said excitedly. Anna gestured to Elsa and said, "As soon as the war is over, the true queen of Arendelle will return to her rightful place on the throne!"

Elsa gestured back at Anna, saying, "And the superior guide will lead the spirits to greatness!"

Elsa and Anna hugged each other, crying tears of happiness rather than misery. When they separated, Elsa said, "I'm just hope the Northuldra will adjust to this alright."

Anna's face fell, having been reminded of some bad news.

"What's wrong?" Elsa asked, noticing Anna's nervousness and anguish.

Anna started fidgeting with her hands. "Um. Elsa, there's something you should know."

"What is it?"

"Um." Anna heard people celebrating the victory. She knew that this moment was supposed to be a happy one. She had just made plans with her sister that would change everything for the better. Anna didn't want her terrible news to ruin this. "I'll tell you later. For now, let's just celebrate."

Author's Note: I fixed it! I fixed the stupid ending of Frozen 2! I may have enjoyed that movie, but that doesn't mean I don't see its short comings and the ending is one of them. In addition to the reasons that Anna and Elsa mentioned, I think it's better for Anna to be with the spirits and Elsa to be the queen because the films NEVER demonstrated any sign that Elsa shouldn't be queen or that Anna should. Every time Elsa EVER struggles with her position, it's only because she lacked confidence. At the beginning of Frozen 2, people are laterally singing about how great everything is with Elsa being the queen. Elsa NEVER expresses that she doesn't want to be queen either. She only worries that she might mess up. And the only times she ever messes up are ALWAYS because of her struggling with her magical nature, not with her position as queen. So how does it help her to get a different job that has the same amount of importance?! If the film wanted to sell us on the idea of Elsa stepping down, it should have given us a scene more like to what I did with Anna in Chapter 18 Why Are Meetings So Boring. Instead, the film shows us that Elsa being queen is good and then tells us that Elsa being queen is bad. Anna on the other hand has never shown great leadership skills EXCEPT for the time she got the earth giants to destroy the dame. Anna lacks Elsa's grace and (very likely) the same amount of schooling in preparation for being queen. What Anna does have is awkwardness and a naivete: very human attributes that would teach the spirits to be as patient with other humans as they would be with her. So Elsa is the perfect queen and Anna is the perfect guide for the spirits and the ending of Frozen 2 is stupid!

I know a lot of fanfiction are defensive about other people using their ideas. (There's irony in there somewhere, I know it.) I don't know if anyone else has done this in their story, but I am not opposed to anyone else having Anna and Elsa switch in their fanfic like I'm doing.

In a way, what I'm doing with Anna and Elsa switching is different from what I'm doing with some of the other princesses. I never thought that Phillip and Aurora should break up in canon. I never thought that Ariel should have lost her whole family. But I DO think that Frozen should have had it this way in the first place in canon.

I just recently uploaded the first chapter of Star Wars: The Unending. Funny thing; if you type into the search engine Miraculous Contempt, that exact story is the only one that shows up. If you type in Disney Princesses: Extermination, that one also shows up and nothing else. But if you type Star Wars: The Unending, that story shows up at the bottom after a bunch of other stories that aren't called anything like that. It might be quicker if you just click on my profile name.

But anyway, I've posted just one chapter as of writing this, but I've written the first five and a half chapters. If I may say so myself, it's really good so far! I encourage you to give it a try.

Please follow and review.
