One second, Natsu was on the brink of death.
The next, what could only be described as corrupted erupted from his body.
This new fire felt different, as if they were in the presence of evil incarnate.
And it only got worse as came off in droves, easily breaking to the will of those around him.
After a closer look at Natsu, the whites of his eyes were pitch black, and his irises were ruby red.
That not all; Natsu's body looks more toned than usual.
What can only be described as black scales adorned the visible parts of his skin.
It was clear as day the Natsu they knew wasn't at the helm.
A look at his right arm revealed his forearm and hand covered in the corrupted flames.
It was then they noticed the severed arm on the ground being consumed by the tainted black flames.
Then with a wave of his hand, the golem leg suddenly consumed by the flames.
The golem let out a cry in pain as it was being burned alive.
But the weird thing was these new flames did give off magic like Natsu previous flames.
It was hard to describe, but the only words that come to mind are dread and helplessness radiating from them.
Natsu used these new flames propelled him into the air before punching the golem square in the face.
The force was enough to send the golem flat on its back before glaring at Natsu with a growl.
But Natsu didn't even react.
He just stood there with a blank expression.
Suddenly a black substance burst from the ground before merging with Natsu.
He held out his hand before forming a fist, only for the entire area to combust in the new flames consuming both Natsu and the golem.
They couldn't see a thing as the black flames forbidding the witness of the golem's final moments of life.
All they could hear was the pain-filled cry of the golem for a few agonizing minutes before the flames died, revealing Natsu and the charred remains of the golem.
He faced them with a blank expression before slowly moving to them.
Fear was apparent in their eyes as he approached blindly.
Then he suddenly stopped dead in his tracks.
He collapsed to his knees as his hands held into his head before screaming aloud.
"Get away from me. I don't know how much longer I can hold it off," Natsu screams in pain.
Internally Lazarus was fighting for Natsu's dominance against E.N.D in the volcanic waste of Natsu's mind.
The only spectator of this battle was Igneel staying silent.
He was cursing himself for breaking the seal of E.N.D, but it was the only way for Natsu to survive the golems onslaught.
Dragon and demon traded blow for blow, neither giving in to the other.
Real-world.
Natsu Struggles to keep this evil at bay.
He cries out to them to run for their lives.
The twin slayers and Minerva plus exceeds were ready to run, but Laki didn't say or do a thing before walking to him.
"Laki, stay away. I don't want to hurt you," he begged.
"Natsu, I know you can overcome this," she cried as the flames were roaring around them.
He turned away, not wanting to see the pain in her eyes.
Another rounding headache went through his head.
The only thing keeping him semi-sane was all the memories of his time with fairy tail, then Sting and Rogue, and finally his time with Laki.
Laki stood before her mate before kneeling, hugging him from behind.
She rested her head on his shoulder
before saying, "Natsu, I know you have the strength to beat this."
"How do you know that, Laki?" He cried.
"I know because" she whipped into his ear. "You're going to be a father," she said softly.
Those few words were enough for a newfound strength Natsu never knew he had come roaring to life.
All the dark flames around them suddenly died, taking all the fear, dread helplessness with it.
Natsu mind
The moment Natsu heard those words, the entire volcanic waste of his mind suddenly erupted, spewing flames.
The flames were consumed by Lazarus increasing his power several times.
With this newfound power, Lazarus let out a dragon roar so powerful it quickly overwhelmed E.N.D.
E.N.D let cry in pain with each attack Lazarus was dishing out.
"Do you yield E.N.D" he demanded.
The demon bowed down before him "yes, you have full control of his power now. As much as it pains me when he is ready, I will teach him my power if he wishes." He said through gritted teeth.
"You better. I won't hesitate to put you back in that seal even if it kills me," Igneel Roared.
With Natsu
Within moments of hearing those precious words, Natsu's form went back to normal.
First, with scales coming off. Then his body visibly relaxes before his eyes turn back to normal.
Just as they were about to celebrate his return to normal, he fell unconscious.
The only thing keeping him upright was Laki, who let out a sigh of relief.
It was then Nier, and Jura finally caught up to them.
"What happened!" He shouts
They all trade glances before Laki spoke up.
"Will talk about it later right now. Natsu needs some rest," she said sternly, leaving no room for argument.
One moment Natsu was in Laki's arms.
The next, he was in a volcanic wasteland that looked like a major battle occurred.
"Wondering when you would show up," he looks to the voice only to see Lazarus resting on a slab of volcanic rock.
"Where am I?"
"This is your mindscape. there's someone you need to talk to well two."
As soon as those words left his mounts, a creature came out of the cave.
It was no other than His father, Igneel.
"D-dad?"
"Yes, Natsu, it's me" was all he said as silence fell between them.
Then Natsu jumped toward him only to nail him with an iron fist attack.
Igneel didn't block or dodge the attack Since it was clear he needed to vent his frustration.
After a few minutes, Natsu had cooled off, well as cold as you can get in a volcanic wasteland.
Now he stood before Igneel with an expecting look in his eyes.
Igneel let out a sigh before explaining he left.
Natsu wore a blank expression as he went over everything Igneel just said.
"What about Sting and Rogue, who thinks they killed their dragons!"
"I'll fill them in when you leave. Anything you want to say, Lazarus?"
"Yes, look behind you," he does as he asks. He took a step back if fear.
no surprise, after all, he is being stared down by a demon
"Who are you?"
"My name is E.N.D or Etherious Natsu Dragneel. I'm your demon side."
Natsu looks back to Igneel, who just looked away.
"Fine, I'll do it," Lazarus said with an annoyed tone.
Like before, Natsu has a blank expression at his demon side's news and his relation to Zeref.
"Anything you want to add, E.N.D?"
"Since you manage to overcome me," he glares at Lazarus, who has an amused expression, "I will teach you how to use my power if you wish." He said with a disgusted voice.
It was clear to Natsu he didn't like doing this.
He looks too Lazarus wondering what he did to E.N.D.
Then Laki word came back to him.
Then it clicked that those words gave Lazarus the strength to overcome his demon side.
Laki's word finally sunk in, only for him to yell at the top of his lungs as he practically bounced all over the landscape.
Lazarus as Igneel had I'm amused expression while E.N.D was annoyed as his behavior.
"Well, if that's all, I better get going," he chirped, "how do I leave this place?"
They all sweat drops at this as it was a typical Natsu move.
"Fine, I'll do it. I want to see what Helios and Mayonoka have to say"
And the two left, leaving Igneel and E.N.D to themselves.
"I hate you!"
"Feeling mutual."
Morning
When Natsu finally came to, he was in a bed he loomed around and saw he was in a medical area.
Then He notices a weight on him.
He looks down to see his mate resting her head on his abdomen.
"That tickles," Lazarus popped out of his scarf.
"We're back like I told you."
"Whatever you say. Laki!"
Laki stirred awake, locking eyes with Natsu before instigating a lip lock that he eagerly recuperated.
After a minute, he broke it off before putting his forehead to hers.
"Is what you said true, Laki?"
She slapped him across the face pecking his lips "of course, you idiot. Why would I lie about something this big to you!"
"Just making sure," he said nervously, raising his hands in defeat.
The two just enjoyed each other's company for another hour before Natsu had to ask.
"How are the others?"
"They're fine. Waiting outside the room as we speak. They wanted to be here when you woke up."
"Well, they waited long enough. Are you ready, Lazarus?"
Lazarus just licked his cheek in response."I'll take that as yes."
With Laki's help, as he was still a little exhausted, he got up, walking out the room, seeing Sting, Rogue, and Minerva sleeping in chairs, and the exceeds resting on their laps.
He noticed Jura, Neir, and Doranbolt in chairs of their own.
"Yo, I'm everyone. I'm back!" He said just loud enough for everyone to wake up.
"Natsu!" They all shout with a relieved tone.
"So mind explaining what happened?" Neir asked
Natsu had a reluctant look in his eye before going into detail about what happened on his end.
He couldn't look any of them in the eye.
"So, Natsu was right," Sting said with Rogue having the same expression.
"I take it your dragon's told you!"
"Yes," they said in unison.
The Natsu reluctantly faced Neir, knowing full well what might happen since he is a devil slayer.
He had a firm expression as locked eyes with Natsu.
There was an uncomfortable silence for a few minutes, putting everyone on edge.
"If what you said is true. Then I suppose I can keep quiet about this. But if you lose control again, I will be forced to act for everyone's safety!"
"No complaints here," he said with a grin lifting everyone's spirits.
"This May be beneficial to me." He said with his hand on his chin.
"How so?"
"It could help me further develop new spell to fight out off the demon of Tartarus," he said
"Fine by me since I want to control this power," he said with a gritty voice as he punched the air.
Everyone laughed at this before all eyes landed on Doranbolt.
"Fine, I keep this a secret!" Everyone let out a sigh of relief.
"That reminds me, where did these golems come from?" Natsu asked.
This time it was Jura to speak, filling him in on everything he learned from Org.
Everyone had an angry expression from this revelation.
None more so than Natsu and Neir since you could feel the heat and electricity in the air.
"Boys!" Laki states, causing both of them to relax forcibly.
"So, what do we do now?" Sting stated.
"Well, we're going back to training, but first, we have to find more permanent residents," Natsu added.
He rested his hand rested on Laki's stomach, causing everyone to share a smile.
Thanks to Jura and Neir, they found a decent size house.
they were fortunate enough to find one with enough room for everyone
It even has a big enough area in the back for training.
Jura and Neir pulled a few strings by it at a reduced price.
Word of the golem, for the most part, was kept under wraps.
As for the magic council, support for them had eroded significantly from the wizard saints and various other organizations.
Six months later
May 16 X787
Over the past six month, they all settled in nicely in their home.
During that time, All three slayers grew tremendously in strength.
Of course, during these past six months, Natsu and Laki gave all three the talk.
That was a very awkward week for th
ree teens to process what they just learned.
Strangely enough, thanks to the side effect of Laki pregnancy, they were quick to move past it.
The three teens were worried he wouldn't make it out alive one time.
It was a hell of a ride so far, and only a few more months left.
Now members of fairy tail are visiting as they refuse to believe Laki is pregnant.
Not all of them, mind you, the Connells were there, of course wanting to see a pregnant Laki.
Wakaba and Macao to and Romeo, who also didn't believe Laki was pregnant.
Natsu opened the door to see the six standing before him plus Poryluisca, which was a shocker.
He let them inside to take their spot in the living room.
"So what brings you here?" he said nervously.
They all had an expecting look in their eyes.
"Natsu, what's going on down there!" Laki shouts, coming down the stairs.
She was stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the seven of them.
"I would never have thought in a million years you would be pregnant, Laki '' Macao says with a grin.
One second he was smirking. The next, he was only on the ground, scared for dear life as a giant spear of wood aimed right where his head was.
Wakaba and Romeo had a scared expression while the Connells and porlyusica just smirked.
"I may be pregnant, but I can still kick your asses."
"She's not wrong. I almost died a few times since she told me," Natsu added.
"Natsu!" Porylusica said firmly, holding out an empty lacrima.
"I haven't told anyone this yet, but six month ago there was a fluid wreaking of evil, then pierced its way out mind explaining?" she held an intense glare, telling him he isn't getting out of this.
Natsu and Laki traded glance before she nodded for him to continue.
It took about 20 minutes to explain and for this revelation to sink in.
"Before you two ask, I filter the darkness off before giving Alzack part of Natsu life force" they all visibly relaxed that.
"So your Zeref's most powerful demon I never would've thought you would be, who else knows?" Macao asked
"Everyone in this house along with Jura, Neir and…. Doranbolt"
"Can we trust Doranbolt?" Bisca asked.
"I believe so. Since the magic council made the golems, we stopped!" they all gasped.
"What about….your….. demon powers?" Wakaba said reluctantly.
"I spent the past six month practicing with them with Neir being on stand by as safety precaution. Speaking of Neir in that time, he developed new devil slayer spells. Back to my powers from what we can gather, they are not magic. instead there called curse."
"What?" was the collective response.
"Based on what E.N.D said, yes, that's his name. It's called curse, unlike magic, which can be stopped by certain spells, potion, and restraining cuffs. For example, curse doesn't have that problem."
"So if you're out of magic, you can use curse as back up. Also, what does E.N.D stand for!" Romeo asked.
"Basically, and it stands for Etherious Natsu Dragneel," he supplied.
"But what about Tartarus? If what you said is true, then…"
"the remaining wizard saints are aware of me being a demon. We are planning on doing, for lack of a better word, a raid on them."
"Isn't that dangerous since they're the strongest dark guild in the world!" Macao said in a concerned tone.
"Which is why it was just going to be the wizard saints and me at this time. If we find any capable wizards, we might include them."
"What's stopping you from doing it now?"
"I'm right here!" Laki declared.
"Never mind," they all chuckled at this.
Then something that through Macao, Wakaba, and Romeo through the loop.
It was Lazarus who just crawled out of Natsu's scarf, licking his cheek.
"What is that!"
"Oh, this is Lazarus, my inner dragon. I'm surprised you two didn't tell then?" He looks at the Connells.
"We decided not to tell them since we knew they wouldn't believe us."
"Don't forget about us!" Sting shouted with Rogue right next to them with their dragons on their shoulders and exceeds the opposite.
This sparked a conversation about their magic and where Igneel was this whole time, along with Sting and Rogues dragons.
This led to the discovery of how the monster that is Acnologia came into existence.
Excessive use of dragon slayer magic can eventually turn you into a dragon.
The slayer dragons hiding inside their bodies are preventing that.
Speaking of Acnologia, the other reason he became a monster was that his inner dragon consumed his human mind.
That's why Natsu and twin slayers separated them to keep that from happening, hopefully.
"If that's all, I'll be leaving now," Porylusica said, getting up.
"Thanks for stopping by Porlyusica," Natsu said with a grin.
It was a rare smile from the pink-haired elder "goodbye, Natsu."
They waved her off as she left.
"Think we can get a demonstration of these curse flames, Natsu?" Romeo asked.
"It couldn't hurt to show you," he said in a thinking manner.
Then Laki's stomach went off, getting a chuckle from everyone.
"Let's get lunch first," they all nodded.
To no one's surprise, Laki was hands down eating the most, only equaled by Natsu.
"Bring back memories," Alzack said, glance down at Asuka sleeping in Bisca's arms.
"Sure does," Bisca added.
Once everyone was done, they headed to the back of their home.
Natsu stood on the far end as the others all sat waiting for him.
Minerva and Rogue were holding hands, waiting for Natsu to show off his curse flames.
"Are they?" Macao asked
"Mates, yes me and Natsu Have been keeping a sharp eye on them," Laki informed
"Smart move, we're ready when you are Natsu!"
Suddenly Natsu's eye changed to an all too familiar demonic black with red irises.
They could feel the dread and helplessness coming off him.
With a snap of his finger, an area before him burst into flames.
These weren't his regular flames; they were tainted black.
His audience can only describe them as corrupted fire, burning away all happiness in the air.
As quickly as it came, Natsu undid the flames before his eye went back to normal.
His audience let out a sigh of relief as happiness returned to them.
"So that's the curse flames?" Macao asked.
"Yes, just wish they didn't give off fear."
"How did curse come about anyway?" Romeo asked
"From what E.N.D told me, it feeds off the negative emotion where magic is off ethernano," he said casually.
They stayed with Natsu for two days catching up, trading stories, and the like.
"Grand magic, what?" Natsu said with a confused expression
"I figured you would know of them."
"Now that you mention it, I think I remember hearing about some magic games. But I thought it was some new game for wizards like tag or hide and seek."
"We're participating in them this year. Hopefully, we'll make it to the final eight."
"How have you guys done in the previous ones?"
"We never made it to the final eight. Not too surprising since all our strongest members are gone."
"I wish I could participate in them."
"We know you're banned from joining any guild
s. It sucks!" Romeo added.
"Maybe we can train them, Natsu," Laki added.
"That's not a bad idea, but I'm not sure they would survive my training regiment. Just ask Sting and Rogue. It's a challenge even for them and their dragon slayers."
"We can at least give it a try," Wakaba said with his hand on his chin.
"I'll see what I can do, hey would you guys be interested in watching the games." he looks at the twin slayer and Minerva.
"I think it would be nice to see them." Sting declared.
"Same here."
"Don't forget about me," Minerva added.
"Guess we were not only training fairy tail but also spectating them as well," he said with a grin.
One week later
"Millianna, is that you?" Natsu said as he instantly noticed her cat-like features.
"Natsu! I heard you got expelled from Fairy tail, but I didn't believe it!" she said, walking up to the group.
It was then they noticed a woman with a sword and white blazer coming up from behind her.
"Who are you?" Laki asked, coming up behind Natsu.
All eyes land on the woman with a sword.
"The names Kagura Mikazuchi at your service."
"So, what's your story if you don't mind me asking?" Natsu informed me.
An uncomfortable silence filled the air before Kagura finally spoke.
The silence was replaced with anger, only to be countered by defiance.
"I will not allow you to kill Jellal!" Natsu said with conviction.
Kagura gave him a level glare backed up by millianna.
The twin slayer Laki, Minerva plus exceeds backed up Natsu.
Then Natsu let some of his magic run wild.
A few moments later, Kagura's conviction falters for a brief moment before solidifying.
"Fine then, if you won't back down, I guess we'll have to fight. I win. You give up your crusade to kill Jellal."
"And if I win?"
"That isn't going to happen!" both his first bursts into flames.
Five minutes later, kagura lay on the ground, beaten, and battered with her sword firmly in Natsu's hands.
"I win, so you must give up your crusade against Jellal, or next time I won't be so merciful!" he said with a level glare.
Kagura just looked away, unable to face him.
Millanna wasn't much better as she was on her knees, looking away out of fear.
"Jella is trying to make amends for his past crimes. Are going to kill someone who's repenting for their crimes!'
There was prolong the moment of silence between the two parties.
"No," was all she said.
"Good, I doubt he can wash away all his sins, but at least he's trying. What will you do if you cross paths with him."
"I won't kill him. You have my word. But I won't let him get by without giving him a piece of my mind!" the swordswomen said fiercely.
With a tired sigh, "Will be attending the Grand Magic Games. I'll see if I can't drag him out there so you can get past this."
"That...would be...greatly appreciated," she said.
"Good now, if you don't mind, we have to get to the Fairy tail guild," he said, walking forward with the rest of his part behind him.
"We see you at the games, Natsu!" Millianna chirped as she waved them off.
"Back at you, millianna!" he waved back.
I honestly did think I would get this out this quickly
