(David Bowie - Let's Dance)
*Alarm ringing*
The first thing I hear is the voice of David Bowie singing into my ears. I slowly get up and do a light stretch...
*Yawn*
Hmmm ah! Today is the day I move to Signal City. I got up and do some light exercises, after I'm done, I took of my shirt and walk towards my table...I look at a picture of Yang, Ruby and I and smile. I take my clothes and get ready for a shower.
"Morning Sou...ma..."
I see a drowsy Ruby walking with a messy bed hair. She walking downstairs...feeling groggy I grab onto her shoulder and guide her to the toilet as I kiss her cheek...her face immediately turns red as a tomato.
"Morning to you too."
I then hear a loud crash coming from Yang's room, I knock and slowly open her door to see her room in a state of utter mess...did a tornado struck the room last night?
"Yang? What's wrong?"
She looks at me with tears in her eyes.
"My bracelet that dad gave to me are missing?"
I look at her and give her a soft smile. I walk towards her pants that she wore yesterday which she left on the floor; she wore this yesterday...now if my guess is right.
"Found it. Here"
I toss her the bracelets; she catches it and give me a wide smile. She runs and hug me tightly and giving me a kiss on the cheek...
"Thanks! I'm gonna head out, I'll see you later."
She left the room to do her morning jog.
I shrug and head to the bathroom.
"Souma, bring your bags down when your done showering. I hear dad calling out for me from downstairs. He's currently doing a check to make sure nothing is forgotten.
"Alright dad."
I open the door to the bathroom.
As I enter, I see a large eye staring at me from the ceiling.
(Music Stop)
"Big day huh?"
I ignore "It" and take off my clothes.
"Are you still upset that I didn't help you with that genjustu that day? No one force you to read it...it was your own curiosity...beside it wasn't a complete waste."
I turn the valve and let the hot water bathe me...ah...I feel relax.
"At the very least you learned how to obtain the Mangekyō Sharingan."
I stop showering and enter the bathtub ignoring its word.
"...Real immature I must say."
"I can't help it...I'm just a child after all."
"An ungrateful one at that...or did you forget what I did for you? If it weren't for me you still be stuck in that temple asleep...or worse dead."
I close my eyes as the warm water calms me...I submerge and let the water take me. I open my eyes to see "It" looking down on me from the ceiling. I slowly emerge and ran my hands through my hair putting it back.
"I have never forgotten what you did...I owe you a great deal. You've taught and protected me...but...I can't get the image of Akane out of my head...I don't think I have the heart to pursue it."
It's not that I lack the heart. I was simply afraid.
"Then let me help you obtain the Mangekyō Sharingan. With it you'll have great power!"
"It" grin as "It" speaks.
"No! You of all...whatever you are should know I would never harm those I love for the sake of powers; I don't need it if that is the price..."
I look down to see my reflection, the ripple waves masked a conflicted heart...do I really have to kill someone I'm close too...for the sake of evolving my eyes...
"Oh, come now Souma, with those eyes you can truly be the greatest Huntsman in all of Remnant. I'm sure your mother would be extremely proud to see you become great and powerful."
I got out of the bathtub and proceed to dry myself...I brush my teeth and head straight back into my room...I didn't want to continue listening to "It"
Despite that I leave "It" behind...as I contemplate "Its" word.
"...You may reject the idea Souma...but sooner or later when your heart is hellbent on protecting those you love. Your desire for it will come, and when it does, I hope you don't suffer much for it."
"It" closes its eyes and hides itself once more.
-Ruby Rose's POV-
After I left the toilet, I recall back the sudden kiss Souma gave me...aaaaarghh...how embarrassing...why does he always tease me that way?
"Hey Rubes...What's with you?"
I shake my head to cool myself down as I see Yang walk towards me, I notice she changed her hairstyles to that of a ponytail...ah her bracelets do look good on her. She's currently wearing a yellow sport jacket with a black shirt and blue jeans.
"That's rare, you never wake up this early." I said while smiling.
"Well, Souma will be moving soon so I want to spend as much time as I can before he leaves. Plus, aren't you going to do the same wink wink."
She gave me a light chuckle before switching on the television.
We then hear Souma coming downstairs, we look up to see him carrying his bags down. He's sporting a black jacket and jeans with white shoes. His shirt however is a white shirt with an Autobot symbol on it...he sure loves Transformers.
"Hey Ruby. I've changed the water in the bathtub for you, you best take it before it gets cold."
I immediately look away while blushing...that kiss is still in my head.
"Ruby?"
"I'm gonna go take a bath now! Bye"
I use my Semblance as I ran from him...
-Souma Uchiha's POV-
"Well, she's in a hurry. Did something happen between you two?" Yang said with a smirk
Huh...that's strange? Was it the kiss? Ah well. I turn to see Yang watching television.
"So... today is the big day huh? Moving into a new city, learning to become a Huntsman...getting the girls."
I look at her weirdly as she winked at me.
"Yang...I'm only seven you expect me to go to a school and find a pretty girl just like thatl?"
"What...you scared of a city girls?...get it."
I laugh at her puns...gonna miss hearing it when I move.
"You all ready?"
We turn to see Dad carrying my bags...he has a camera hanging around his neck...why does he look like he's going on a tour.
"Yea...we're waiting on Ruby." I said then we heard said girl yelling from upstairs.
"COMING!"
We soon hear running footsteps coming down. We turn to see Ruby all dressed up. She's wearing red jacket and black T-shirt with a red skirt.
"All right we're all here. Well, we'll move early so can get breakfast along the way."
The three of us nods and made our way to port and head on to Signal City.
-Signal City-
After we arrived at Signal City, the girls wish to sight see before we have our breakfast, but dad said we can see the city after breakfast.
"LOOK LOOK SOUMA! WEAPONS!"
I turn to see Ruby who was next to me vanish. My eyes dart around to see her face plastered to a window. Inside the shop we can see various weapons being displayed. I look down to see Ruby's eyes sparkle as if she's looking at a bag of cookies.
"Ruby, calm yourself. We'll check it out alright."
I chuckle lightly, seeing her happy put a smile on my face.
"Let go in Souma! Please please please!"
She grabs both my hands while jumping up and down like a rabbit.
"Alright Ruby, I'll go in with you." I caress her head gently.
"Alright while you two head in there I'll drag dad to the clothing store down the street."
Yang points towards the store she's referring to. Dad smile wryly because he has zero clues when it comes to fashion.
"Don't cause any trouble alright. An hour from now we'll have to head to the dormitory to settle the paperwork."
Dad said with a smile as he holds Yang's hand to her dismay.
"Dad I don't need you to hold my hand" She said trying to let him go.
"Oh no you don't young lady, unlike Ruby. You're a firecracker, who knows what trouble you'll land if I let my sights off you.
She groans as she turns to me for help. I smile and wave my hand wishing her good luck. She grinds her teeth as she's being drag by dad.
"Well, there she goes." I turn my head to see Ruby inside moving from one weapon to another in a cartoonish way.
"Hey did you hear that the leader of the White Fang will be visiting Signal City?"
I heard one of the men behind me talking.
"What...more animals will be visiting us." The racist remark made by his friend cause me to glare coldly at him.
"Yea, something about a debate or meeting on being treated fairly or some shit. I guess they still haven't learned their place in the world."
*WhisperWhisperWhisper*
…. learned their place. I dug my nails deep into the palm of my hand.
"Souma! What are you waiting for!?"
I immediately turn my head to see Ruby looking at me with a worried expression on her face.
"Um...sorry Ruby, was distracted. Let's head in."
I grab hold of her hand to ease her mind. Strange...all my anger just disappeared all of a sudden.
Ruby seeing that I have return to norm smile warmly and hug my arms tightly. The racist men had left the area...hmm, for a moment there...I wanted to kill them.
"Look Souma, a sword! I would like to have one!"
She goes all giddy in front of the weapon being displayed.
"A sword Ruby, I thought you wanted to wield the scythe like mother?"
She begins contemplating whether if should wield a sword or a scythe.
"Umm...I was thinking of combining one of it with a range weapon as one of its form."
She cutely rubs her head with both hands while feeling exasperated. I laugh and begin advising Ruby.
"Hmm, my advice would be that you should train in handling a scythe since mom and uncle Qrow can teach you. Then if you still wish to learn how to fight with a sword, you can enroll to the academy and take a course in sword training which I plan on doing. At the very least you'll be versatile in combat."
Ruby was surprise with what I had said.
"WHAT!? I thought you'll be wielding a scythe like mom as well."
Hmmm.
"Well, I wanted too but...It didn't quite fit my style of combat...I prefer to end a fight quickly then prolong one."
I said while tilting my head.
"Alright...I'll train with Uncle Qrow and mom. Then I'll give a sword a try...plus you can train me after you graduate."
She said with a smile.
"Hmm, I'll be a strict teacher unlike our drunk uncle."
We both laugh recalling Uncle Qrow's drunk escapade which he ends up getting beaten up by mom. Soon we heard a call from behind us to see Yang and dad. Dad is carrying bag of clothing...probably clothes for Yang and Ruby since they're growing.
We left the area and make our way to the dormitory. Upon arrival, I see a familiar face.
"Lily!?" I didn't expect to see her here. I thought I would surprise her at the academy.
"Souma!?"
She turns her head and look with a surprise look on her face she walks towards me smiling.
"What are you doing here?" I smile and explained myself.
"I'm moving in... I'll be attending Signal Academy tomorrow. I wanted to surprise you."
"WHAT!?"
Her eyes turn white when she heard me.
"Didn't you know, huh I thought uncle Qrow told you since he's your teacher."
She suddenly gives off a threatening aura...and grind her teeth.
"No, he didn't...that explained the smugness on his face the other day."
Her fox ears begin twitching when she saw my dad and sisters.
"Oh, hey Lily, nice to see you."
She quickly bows to show respect.
"You too sir."
Yang gently jabs my waist looking restless.
"So, who is she?"
She asks in a quiet voice, whispering in my ear.
"This here is Lily Walker, my senior and student of Signal Academy."
She politely bows in front of my sister.
"Nice to meet you, you must be Yang and the shy one must be Ruby. Souma told me about you two when he last visited."
I turn to see Ruby hiding behind dad's leg...I had forgotten that she doesn't deal with stranger well.
"Souma, umm how did you managed to get enrolled to Signal Academy?" She asks feeling confuse. It's not unheard-of students being enroll at a young age since she herself enrolled at the age of twelve due to her talent.
"Oh, I got in through recommendation." I said with a smile
"Well, that's great to hear. I'm glad that you're here, I could use more level-headed friends in my life."
I see her cutely pout as she recalls her other friends, I laugh but felt a sharp pain as Yang is stepping on my foot looking slightly annoyed. Lily saw this and begin grinning.
"Well Souma, I'll talk to you later I have to go now, my friends are waiting for me I'll introduce them to you once you're settled, see you later Souma. Bye, Yang and Ruby. It was nice to finally meet you two."
She waves goodbye as she left.
"Well...she's nice girl...I wouldn't mind if you plan on making her my daughter-in-law."
Tai said with a smirk. Suddenly he felt multiple kicks coming from both Yang and Ruby...the two of them are fuming.
"OWW! OKAY! I GET IT! IT'S JUST A JOKE!"
I can only smile wryly as I watch.
After a few hours of moving my stuffs in I eventually have to say goodbye to them.
I walked with Yang and Ruby to see them looking sad.
"Hey what's wrong?" I ask wondering if they're alright
"...Nothing just thinking how boring it'll be without you."
Yang said while kicking a pebble, Ruby nods as well agreeing to her words.
"I see, well nothing much I can do there. Like I said I'll come and visit during the weekends...in the meantime do train I want to see you girls reach your highest potential...who knows, you might enter Signal Academy through recommendation. Pluuuuusss if class is boring I'll just let my clone attend class while I visit you."
Dad glare at me when I said that.
"I prefer if my son doesn't skip school clone or not."
The girls smile and laugh as I smile wryly.
"Then make sure you'll be the best at Signal Academy!" Yang said with a wide smile while pointing at me.
"Alright. Easy."
I said it with a cocky smile.
"Oh, Mom also said to practice your violin, when she returns, she wants to hear you play." Ruby said while popping her head beside Yang.
"Of course, Ruby, I've been practicing." I gently caress her head.
"Alright girls, it's time to leave the ship is leaving soon. I'll see you tomorrow Souma."
I nod...I look down to see the girls looking downcast.
I smile as walk up to them to hug them tightly.
"Hey, your big brother is going to be the world greatest Huntsman. I love you."
The girls then smile and hugs back.
"I'll catch up to you Souma! I'll be the world greatest Huntress so we can be heroes and save the world together."
Ruby said with energetic vigor.
"Yeah...what she said...also, I'm the eldest!"
Yang then puts me in a headlock...oh someone...save me.
Dad merely laughs at my predicament.
-Menagerie. Night-
-3rd person POV-
A tall and muscular man can be seen reading through some documents in his office. His has a black hair and a wild yet well-kept beard. He soon hears a knock on his door.
"Come in."
He took off his reading glass to see a familiar face.
"Ah, Kali you're here. Did you put our little munchkin to sleep?"
"Yes, Ghira my love. You should have seen your daughter's face when we told her we'll be going to Vale next week, she's so excited since this will be her first time going out of this country...I hope it'll do her good to escape...*sigh* the trouble the White Fang is going through."
A beautiful woman stands in front of him with a warm smile on her face. Her cat ears twitch from time to time...it's due to the cold night.
"Is that so? Well, I still think it's a bad idea bringing her out there at all considering the tension between the Faunus and the Humans. Sienna has not been making things easier as of late."
"Oh, come now, you know that she's always coops up inside her room reading after training...she doesn't have that many friends her age. It'll be good for her to get out and see the world."
He stands and smile
"Yea...you're right maybe leaving and taking a vacation might be right call. I do need a break from all of this."
He gestures to all the paperwork on his table.
She smiles and kiss his cheek.
"Come now, we should head to bed."
He shook his head.
"Later...I still have to sort these documents out for the meeting...with the discovery of that ancient temple in Patch, it's my responsibility to retrieve any relics that have any connection to our Fanus heritage. Fortunately, the headmaster of Beacon Academy was kind enough to relay information about it. Despite us going there on vacation the real reason aside from the debate would be in search for this young man that had lived in that temple I hope he could shine some light to some matters...it took a while to convince those in Vale especially that General in Atlas, for some reason he's very protective of the boy."
"I see, well maybe we should introduce him to Blake...I'm sure the two of them will be great friends. From what I heard from the rumors about the boy, he's a promising young lad. To enroll at such a young age."
"Indeed, the youngest the world had ever seen, yet because of that the boy has attracted unsavory problem like those in Vacuo."
"Ah well...it's best if we could relax while were there. Goodnight my love."
"Yes...goodnight."
-Blake Belladonna's POV-

I'm currently reading under my blanket with a torch in my hand...I'm reading the history of Vale as well as the history of Signal City...It seem like a nice place. Hopefully, I'll make friends when I'm there...I'm so excited that my ears won't stop twitching.
Signal City! Just you wait!
-Souma Uchiha's POV-
I place a picture frame of the three of us together before we left...I smile and look around my room. So, this will be my new home.
I slap both my cheeks.
Alright the journey to become the world's greatest Huntsman begins tomorrow.
I look at my Violin case on my bed...I took the violin out and gaze at it.
"Looks like you'll be keeping me company my friend."
I said as I place the violin on my shoulder...
I pull the string with my stick...and begin playing.
