Chase made sure he wasn't caught so he didn't risk staying so he decided to abort his hiding position. He was well-trained to be a police pup and spy so he was definitely a professional at this or so he thought. He was proud of himself but Ryder did let him know once to not let pride consume you as it was a dangerous thing allow to control you. Hearing what Rocky was trying to do, manipulating Marshall like that made Chase's blood boil. He had no right to use Marshall like that. And so Chase knew he had to confront Rocky when they got back. He had to put an end to this and if that meant filling in Ryder the details of the latest events then so be it!

Chase waited for Marshall and Rocky to return, knowing he had to blend in doing something to avoid Rocky knowing he was the one eavesdropping on them but he knew sooner or later he'd have to reprimand Rocky at what he was attempting to do at the Pup Park, using Marshall to his advantage.

Sooner than later sure enough, they returned with Marshall suddenly running to his fire truck and driving off. Where was he going?

Chase then gazed in the direction of Rocky and saw him going behind the Lookout probably to clear his head or something. Knowing this was his chance to confront Rocky, he went ahead and dropped what he was doing and started walking in the same direction as Rocky.

After a minute Chase seen Rocky a short distance away, so he took a deep breath to control his anger and walked towards him.

"Hey, Rocky!" Chase called out to him. "What's your problem?"

"What do you mean?"

"Stop bothering Marshall. You can fool him but not me!"

"I don't know what you're-"

"Oh, quit the act! We both know exactly what you're up to. You haven't let go."

"Haven't let go what?" Rocky knew what Chase was talking about but he wanted to know exactly how much Chase knew and if he would become a problem to him.

"Your curiosity! You lied to Marshall! Marshall hasn't told you this, but we know you were the one eavesdropping in the bathroom." Chase said looking stern at Rocky. "You hang out with Marshall just to find out his secret. The pup park today? You asked Marshall a series of questions about Everest because you think she is an involvement in Marshall's endearment-"

"So I'm not crazy you were at the pup p-" Rocky stopped talking, understanding what Chase just said. "Wait...did you say endearment?"

"What? You know what? I'm telling Ryder exactly what's been going on these last couple of days. He needs to hear it!" Chase said, quickly changing the subject from his choice of poor words.

Rocky started to panic. If Ryder found out it was over! The moment Chase turned his back to him Rocky gave a command and his pup pack revealed a stun gun. Chase looked back and gasped. "What are you-?"

Without hesitation, Rocky stunned him and he fell over unconscious. Chase was motionless on the ground.

"Uh oh." Rocky uttered. 'What have I done, what have I DONE?!' Rocky panicked more than before. "Okay, take a deep breath Rocky. It's okay. Breathe in...and breath out." He looked at Chase's stomach rising, then falling. "I'm sorry Chase. Crap, crap, crap! I panicked, okay? I-I-I wasn't thinking and you brought this on yourself you know?" Rocky realizing Chase was motionless, smacked himself on the forehead. "Uh, how stupid am I?"

He pulled Chase's body with him, hoping to get it away from the others. If Chase woke up Rocky would say he fainted in front of him. Yeah, that would work! And if Chase says he remembers Rocky pulling out a stun gun, Rocky will just say it was probably an unusual dream for the German Shepherd.

Rocky panted and finally let go of Chase. At least no one would find him here!

He was in a bush.

Rocky exhaled. "Okay." He recollected his thoughts. Chase said something about endearment. Rocky knew the definition of that word. It meant affection or...love? 'Wait a second...Marshall is in love with Everest?' Rocky heard a grunt behind him and Chase fell forwards smacking his head off the ground which resulted in him opening his eyes.

"W-What's going on...?"

Rocky looked at him in alarm. "Nothing..."

"Where am I?" Chase questioned him.

"Uh, so listen Chase. You were talking to me and you fainted..."

"I-I did?" Chase asked but then something came to his memory. "No, I didn't! I remember you had a stun gun-"

"A stun gun, woah! Hold on, Chase. Are you accusing me of violence?! I may be somewhat unusual sometimes but I'm not the violent type...apart from what happened before." He muttered that last part in shame.

"Yeah, maybe it was a dream..." Chase said, scratching his head in confusion. "W-Where are the pups and Ryder?"

"Probably in the Lookout. Ryder is gone somewhere he'll be back and Marshall went to visit-" Rocky stopped himself, not wanting to say Everest's name.

"Visit who?"

"Oh sorry. I was thinking about something else. He went to go visit Carlos and Tracker."

Chase wondered, why would he go alone when the PAW patrol would go every weekend to visit them?

Knocking himself out of his thoughts, he looked back at Rocky. "Oh, well thanks I guess for being here. I don't know what would've happened if I fainted alone."

"Sure. No problem, Chase. Anytime." Confident with what he said, Rocky walked away back to the Lookout.

Chase sighed. 'Never would've guessed Rocky was this dumb...' He looked back at him walking away. "Okay, Chase. Time to talk to Marshall and let Everest know what is going on."

Everest and Jake returned to the resort. They were back and almost immediately there was Marshall running towards them. His fire truck was parked nearby but he decided it was cooler if he ran than driving as that made it more dramatic.

"Guys, you're back!" The Dalmatian shouted in delight, howling in excitement.

"Marshall!" Everest shouted back, delighted to see him too. "How are you?"

"I should be the one asking you that! How are you, how was the trip?" The Dalmatian asked.

"Wonderful, so many great things to tell you! Me and Jake even tried their special soup soupe a l'oignon." Everest said with a strong accent, familiarizing herself with certain words and the accent.

"That's a great accent!" Marshall replied, giggling.

"Thank you."

"Not to make this too emotional dudes but I missed my ski boards. I'm going to go have a ride, see you soon!" Jake said, leaving his bags inside the cabin and running to get one of his ski boards and two ski sticks.

At that exact moment, Marshall's pup tag rang.

"Hello?"

"Marshall, it's Chase."

"Oh hey, buddy, what's up? Everest is here!"

"Perfect. Listen I think we should tell her what's been going on."

"Huh?" Everest tilted her head in confusion. "What has happened?"

Marshall thought over this. Did Everest deserve to know? Marshal knew without a doubt she did because she was a part of this mess too. Knowing it was the right thing to do, Marshall agreed. "Okay, sure. You're right Chase. Let's go inside Everest."

She nodded and they both walked inside.

After closing the door behind him, Marshall looked at Everest.

"Okay. Here goes." He gulped and started talking." A-Around a few days before you left I believe Rocky got interested or should I say curious."

"About what?" Everest asked, confused as to why Marshall said that so quickly.

"Well...uh-" Marshall found it difficult to talk and he felt himself slightly sweating. "Well, um..."

"Yes...?"

"Wow. This is difficult to explain b-but I-"

"He likes you!" Chase called out through their pup tags.

Everest gasped. "Really?" Her heart fluttered and she stared into Marshall's eyes, a warm smile placed on her face. Marshall however found it difficult to hold eye contact.

"Uh, y-yes. I probably should've told you sooner-"

His response was a tender kiss across his lips and he felt himself fall to it. Everest pulled away and Marshall said one word.

"Wow."

"Yeah..." Everest blushed, her sight elsewhere.

"Too bad I can't see what's going on..." Chase said, agitated. He would've loved to see this.

Marshall and Everest giggled.

"Wait. So that's the reason why you hung out with me for so much in the last few weeks!"

"Yep." Marshall replied, confident. "And because of that, Rocky got curious and ever since he wanted to find out our secret. Basically that we like each other."

"Oh." Everest said simply.

"And by the way Marshall I followed Rocky behind the Lookout when you went to visit Everest and I started to argue with Rocky because he was manipulating you at the Pup Park."

Marshall gasped. "So that's why he was asking me, who was my best friend and questions like that to get closer to my secret and he knew Everest played an involvement in it too."

"Wait. So you don't care that I eavesdropped?" Chase asked.

"Nope. I'm glad you did, I know the real reason now thanks to you." Marshall said his paws getting heavier. He was angry at Rocky for what he did and he knew Rocky had to pay a price for what he was trying to do for the last few days. He lied to Marshall. He said he was going to stop but he didn't.

"He then knocked me out with a pup taser." They both gasped. "Ah don't worry. I pretended to be unconscious and Rocky felt really sorry for that." Chase sighed. "But...I might've screwed up by accident guys because before he tasered me, instead of saying 'secret' when I told him off about the Pup park incident today I said endearment."

Marshall shook his head. "It's okay. It was by accident. So...the question is what do we do now?"

Rocky was pondering over what Chase said before. 'Endearment.' Was it true? 'Is Marshall in love with Everest? Or am I getting ahead of myself...'

Soon enough he heard vehicles nearby. It was Marshall and Everest. Everest was back and that unfortunately was complicating for Rocky now. He sighed, hoping Everest didn't know a thing about what occurred in the last few days.

Everest hopped out, greeted Rocky and walked inside the Lookout with Marshall.

'It doesn't seem she knows...but I can't assume that, I've gotta figure out if she really knows. But how?' Rocky put on his thinking cap, pondering over different suggestions that were popping in his head. Knowing none of them were good enough he sighed and walked up to Zuma and Rubble who were kicking a ball.

"Hey guys."

"Oh, what's up dude?"

"Hey, Rocky, what's up? You look sad."

"Yeah. Listen, can I trust you guys?"

They both looked at each other, exchanging looks and then back at Rocky.

"Sure?"

Rocky looked at the Lookout. 'I gotta do this. I've got no other choice.'
