15. Chapter 43- A New Day, A New (SPOILER)

A New Day, A New Entei

-The Next Day-

"Alright Entei..." Ash said clutching the Ultra Ball.

"Wait Ash," May said. "Is it safe to throw him out? He did try to kill you yesterday."

"He also tried to kill me when I was 14, but that's all water under the bridge!" Ash said. "I'm going to use him in my one on one battle tomorrow against Noland. He'll use Articuno, so I was going to use Charizard for a rematch. He's still resting from yesterday, so I figured it's only right to make this next match a Legendary one."

"Okay then. Be careful..." May said cautiously. Mewtwo and Darkrai stood guard ready to spring into action if Entei went berserk.

"Entei, may the aura guide you!" Ash threw out Entei's ball and released the legendary. Entei roared and used Fire Spin as a warm up maneuver. Shaking its body, it turned towards Ash and locked eyes with the trainer.

'Good day master.' Entei said through telepathy. 'How may I serve you today?'

"Wow. You are like a brand new Pokemon," Ash said. "So you are not going to try to kill me today?"

'Of course not,' Entei replied. 'You were strong enough to catch me. Therefore, you are my master, and have earned my respect.'

"Great news, but I don't have my Pokemon call me master. Just call me Ash."

'Alright, Master Ash.'

"Good enough! Now I'm training you to battle Articuno in my battle tomorrow. That fire spin attack can come in handy."

'Of course,' Entei said. 'Shall we get started?'

That night before the match Ash and Meowth went to the Pokemon Center to check on his Salamence and Garchomp. In the corner at a table was Noland.

"Hey Ash!" Noland yelled. "Come here."

"Howdy Noland!" Ash said.

"So, are you prepping for our battle later?"

"Yep," Ash said. "I got a new Pokemon I'm ready to show off tonight."

"Can't wait to see it. By the way, Ash, I was talking with Lance earlier. He told me how you were forming a team."

"Are you interested in joining?" Ash asked.

"Actually… it's not me that wants to join you," Noland replied. "I'm way too busy at the Battle Factory, but Articuno wants to help you out. It wants you to be its trainer on one condition. You defeat it in this battle against us. It'll even help me out too because I've become a little too reliant on it at the Battle Factory."

"You and Articuno have a deal," Ash replied.
