It had been 3 months since Alyssa had last seen the Doctor. They had come up with a plan to see how far the aliens had spread. Alyssa looked around as she walked through a city. "Alyssa." a voice called out. She turned around and saw Canton pointing a gun at her,
"We can make this easy or hard, your choice," Canton said
"Come on, Canton, don't you remember the warehouse the aliens?" Alyssa said, turning to face him fully. He said nothing, and Alyssa took the chance and took off running in the opposite direction.
"The hard way," Canton said as he fired the gun, and Alyssa fell to the ground.
Alyssa was dragged into a room, and she heard the Doctor's voice, "Is there a reason you're doing this?" The Doctor said as he glanced at the 3 body bags.
"I want you to know where you stand," Canton said,
"In a cell," The Doctor muttered.
"In the perfect cell. Nothing can penetrate these walls. Not a sound, not a radio wave, not the tiniest particle of anything." the Doctor said, as the soldiers who brought in the bodies left the room and Canton closed the door, "In here, you're literally cut off from the rest of the universe. So I guess they can't hear us, right?'
"Good work, Canton. Door sealed?" The Doctor said,
"You bet," Canton said, and the Doctor shook off his shackles, and the body bags sat up. The Doctor rushing to Alyssa as she unzipped the body bag. She smiled at the Doctor as she took him into a hug,
"Are you okay?" The Doctor said after he broke apart from Alyssa and went over to Rory,
"Finally," Amy muttered as she got out of the body bag as well.
"These things could really do with air holes," Rory said,
"Never had a complaint before," Canton said,
"Isn't it going to look odd that you're staying in here with us?" Amy asked Canton,
"Odd, but not alarming. They know there's no way out of this place." Canton said,
"Exactly. Whatever they might think we're doing in here, they know we're not going anywhere." The Doctor said before he slumped to the right of him and into an invisible Tardis. Alyssa let out a laugh as she snapped her fingers, and the door opened,
"Shall we?" The Doctor said, and they all rushed into the Tardis.
"What about Doctor Song?" Canton said as he entered the Tardis, "She dove off a rooftop."
"Yeah, don't worry, she does that," Alyssa said as she and the Doctor rushed to the console.
"Amy, Rory, open all the doors to the swimming pool." The Doctor said, and Amy and Rory rushed to do it as the Doctor piloted them to where she was falling and opened the Tardis doors and River fell in and down to the swimming pool.
"So, we know they're everywhere. Not just a landing party, an occupying force, and they 'have been here a very, very long time. But nobody knows that because no one can remember them." The Doctor said as River had joined them,
"So what are they up to?" Canton asked
"We don't know," Alyssa said,
"But the good news is, we've got a secret weapon." The Doctor said as the two landed the Tardis. They rushed out to reveal a rocket. Alyssa smiled at it,
" Apollo 11's your secret weapon?" River said,
"No, no. It's not Apollo 11. That would be silly. It's Neil Armstrong's foot." The Doctor said
"Can you ever just give them a straight answer, Dear? Yes, it is Apollo 11." Alyssa said before they rushed back into the Tardis to come up with a plan against the aliens
The Doctor went and got an injector and injected Canton with something, "Ow." Canton said as the Doctor walked away from him
So, three months. What have we found out?" The Doctor asked,
"Well, they are everywhere. Every state in America." Rory said before he made a sound of pain as the Doctor injected him as well.
"They are not just in America, though. They are everywhere in the world," Alyssa said,
"There's a greater concentration here, though." River said,
"Yes, there is, but the question is, why?" Alyssa said as she walked over to Amy with the Doctor as he injected her, "Ow!" Amy said,
"Are you okay?" The Doctor said,
"All better," Amy said,
"Better?" Alyssa questioned,
"Turns out I was wrong. I'm not pregnant." Amy said as Rory saw that they were talking in hushed tones and walked over,
"What's up?" Rory asked,
"Nothing. Really, nothing. Seriously." Amy said,
"So you've seen them, but you don't remember them," Canton said,
"You've seen them, too. That night at the warehouse, remember? While you were pretending to hunt us down, we saw hundreds of those things. We still don't know what they look like."
"It's like they edit themselves out of your memory as soon as you look away. The exact second you're not looking at them, you can't remember anything." Rory said,
"Think the Scream, without the mouth, and three maybe four long fingers, and they are wearing a black suit," Alyssa called out.
"How do you remember them." the Doctor said,
"I spent the last 3 months thinking about that Doctor, and I think it's because of the show from the other universe. They can wipe the memory of me seeing them, I think, but me remembering they were there due to the show can't be wiped for some reason." Alyssa said, and the Doctor nodded. As he walked away,
"If you can't remember seeing them, that's why you marked your skin," Canton said,
"Only way we'd know if we'd had an encounter."
"How long have they been here?" Canton said,
"Years, maybe centuries," Alyssa said,
"That's what we've spent the last three months trying to find out," Amy said,
"Not easy if you can't remember anything you discover," Rory said,
"How long do you think?" Canton said,
"As long as there's been something in the corner of your eye, or creaking in your house, or breathing under your bed, or voices through a wall. They've been running your lives for a very long time now, so keep this straight in your head. We are not fighting an alien invasion. We're leading a revolution. And today, the battle begins." The Doctor said as he walked over to Alyssa,
"How?" Canton asked as River joined the group.
"Like this." The Doctor said before he quickly injected River,
"Ow!" River hissed out, and the Doctor started laughing before he held out a small device.
"Nanorecorder. Fuses with the cartilage in your hand." the Doctor said as he placed the device in the gun and injected himself. "Ow. And it tunes itself directly to the speech centers in your brain. It'll pick up your voice, no matter what—telepathic connection. So, the moment you see one of the creatures, you activate it," he said before he activated it and continued, "and describe aloud exactly what you're seeing." before clicked on it.
"And describe aloud exactly what you're seeing." The Doctor's voice played back,
"Because the moment you break contact, you're going to forget it happened. The light will flash if you've left yourself a message. You keep checking your hand if you've had an encounter. That's the first you'll know about it." The Doctor said,
"Why didn't you tell me this before we started?" Canton asked,
"I did, but even information about these creatures erases itself over time. I couldn't refresh it because I couldn't talk to you." The Doctor said as Canton looked away, and when he turned back, he straightened the Doctor's bowtie.
"What? What are you staring at?" Canton asked,
"Look at your hand," Alyssa said, and Canton looked down at his hand to see the dot was flashing,
"Why is it doing that?" Canton said
"Why is the light flashing? What did the Doctor just tell you?" Alyssa said,
"I haven't," Canton started.
"Play it." The Doctor said, and Canton did play it,
"My God, how did it get in here?" Canton's voice through the recording said,
"Keep eye contact with the creature and, when I say, turn back, and when you do, straighten my bow tie." the Doctor's voice through the recording said,
"What? What are you staring at?" Canton said through the recording,
"Look at your hand." Alyssa's voice said, as Canton turned around and they all looked at the creature.
"It's a hologram, extrapolated from the photo on Amy's phone. Take a good, long look." The Doctor said before he turned off the image, "You just saw an image of one of the creatures we're fighting. Describe it to me."
"I can't," Canton said, as the memory of what Alyssa said about the creatures left almost all of them.
"No. Neither can I. You straightened my bow tie because I planted the idea in your head while you were looking at the creature." the Doctor said as he walked over to a screen and adjusted it so he could look at it.
" So they could do that to people. You could be doing stuff and not really knowing why you're doing it." Amy said,
"Like post-hypnotic suggestion," Rory said,
"Ruling the world with post-hypnotic suggestion?" Amy asked,
"Now then, a little girl in a spacesuit. They got the suit from NASA, but where did they get the girl?" The Doctor said,
"It could be anywhere," Canton said,
"Except they'd probably stay close to that warehouse, because why bother doing anything else? And they'd take her from somewhere that would cause the least amount of attention. But you'll have to find her. Me and Alyssa are off to NASA." The Doctor said,
"Find her? Where do we look?" Canton said
"How do you find a little girl?" Alyssa said, "You look through Children's homes."
They broke off at that moment Canton and Amy were dropped off so they could go to an orphanage called Greystark. While the Doctor and Alyssa went to NASA and started messing with Apollo 11, "Amy." The Doctor said into a phone after it had rung as Alyssa continued working on the rocket,
"I think we've found the place she was taken from." Amy said,
"How do you know?" The Doctor asked as he placed the phone on speaker so they both could hear the conversation,
"Because those things have been here. But the whole place is deserted." Amy said, "There's just one guy here, and I think he's lost it."
"Repeated memory wipes fry your head eventually. Find out what you can, but don't hang around." The Doctor said,
"Where are you?" Amy asked,
"Got to go. Got company." The Doctor said as Alyssa slammed the panel closed and looked up to see guards staring at them outside Apollo 11. "Don't worry, We've put everything back the way I found it." the Doctor said before he realized Alyssa still had a wire in her hand. "Except that. There's always a bit left over, isn't there?" but the two people looking at them were not amused, and the two were pulled out of the rocket and into a room where a scientist questioned them
"Now, one more time, sir. How the hell did you get into the command module?" The man asked,
"We've told you we are on a top-secret mission for the President," Alyssa said,
"Well, maybe if you just get President Nixon to assure us of that, sir, that would be swell." The man said, and Alyssa smiled at him,
"I sent him a message." the Doctor said, as Rory, River, and the President entered the room
"Hello. I believe it's Mister Gardner. Is that correct? Head of Security?" Nixon said, asking the man who was questioning them, as he walked over and held his hand out,
"Er, yes, sir. Yes, Mister President." Gardner said as he shook the President's hand,
"Mister Grant, is it?" Nixon said to the other man,
"Yes, Mister President." Grant said, as he also shook the President said,
"The hopes and dreams of millions of Americans stand here today at Cape Kennedy, and you're the men who guard those dreams. On behalf of the American people, I thank you." Nixon said,
"You're welcome, Mister President." Gardner said,
"I understand you have a baby on the way, Mister Grant." Nixon said, turning to Grant,
"Yes, Mister President." Grant said,
"What are you hoping for, a boy or a girl?" Nixon asked,
"Just a healthy American, sir." Grant said,
"A healthy American will do just nicely." Nixon said, tapping Grant on the shoulder before he pointed to Alyssa and the Doctor. "Now, fellows, listen. This man, here, code name the Doctor, and this woman code name Mrs. Robinson is doing some work for me personally. Could you cut him a little slack?"
"Er, Mister President, they did break into Apollo 11." Gardner said, and Nixon looked at the two, and they both mouthed 'sorry.'
"Well, I'm sure he had a very good reason for that. But I need you to release him now so they can get on with some very important work for the American people. Could you do that for me?" Nixon said,
"Well," Grant started, but Nixon interrupted him,
"Son, I am your Commander in Chief." Nixon said,
"Then I guess that would be fine, Mister President." Gardner said and gestured to the guards that were standing behind the two to unlock their cuffs. Which they did, the
"Glad to hear it." Nixon said, as the two stood up and walked forward,
"Thank you. Bye, bye." the Doctor said before he shook the two men's hands and left the room,
"Let's break into the Apollo 11 you said, it will be fine you said," Alyssa said after they had exited the room,
"I'm sorry!" the Doctor said, which just made Alyssa shake her head before made their way into the Tardis and flew back to the White House to take Nixon back.
"You have to tape everything that happens in this office. Every word, or you won't know if you're under the influence." the Doctor said as he walked back to the Tardis.
"Doctor, you have to give me more than this. What were you doing to Apollo 11?" Nixon said,
"A thing a very important thing." Alyssa said,
"Now, no more questions. You have to trust me and nobody else." the Doctor said, as River popped her head out of the Tardis
"Doctor, Alyssa, it's Canton. Quick, he needs us." River said, and the two rushed into the Tardis; they piloted the Tardis to the Greystark Orphanage.
"Amy! Amy, can you hear me? Amy, I'm going to try to blow the lock. I need you to stand back." Canton yelled as the four exited the Tardis, and they ran in the direction of him.
"Okay, gun down. I've got it." The Doctor said
"Amy, we're here. Are you okay?" as the Doctor brought out his Sonic Screwdriver and unlocked the door, they rushed in to see nobody inside, "Where is she, Doctor?" Rory asked as River and Alyssa investigated a NASA spacesuit. Alyssa opened the visor to reveal that it was empty
"It's empty." Alyssa said,
"It's dark. So dark. I don't know where I am. Please, can anybody hear me?" Amy's voice said as Alyssa straightened and looked around the room to see a red blinking light, Amy's Nanorecorder. Rory reached down and picked up as Alyssa rubbed her face. "I completely forgot," She whispered, as sobbing came from the Nano Recorder.
"They took this out of her. How did they do that, Doctor? Why can I still hear her?" Rory said,
"Is it a recording?" River asked
"No, this is live." Alyssa whispered as the Doctor walked over and scanned the device.
"it defaults to live. This is current. Wherever she is right now, this is what she's saying." The Doctor said,
"Amy, can you hear me? We're coming for you. Wherever you are, we're coming, I swear." Rory said, holding the Nano Recorder up to its mouth,
"She can't hear you. I'm so sorry. It's one way." The Doctor said,
"She can always hear me, Doctor. Always. Wherever she is, and she always knows that I am coming for her. Do you understand me? Always." Rory said,
"Doctor, are you out there? Can you hear me? Doctor? Oh, God. Please, please, Doctor, just get me out of this." Amy's voice said,
"He's coming. I'll bring him, I swear." Rory said, into the Nano recorder once more,
"Hello? Is somebody there? I think someone has been shot. I think we should help. We c. I can't re. I can't remember." a man said as he entered the room. Obviously talking about one of the creatures, Alyssa let out a small sigh as she pushed out of the room and followed the man to the alien. She walked over and leaned by it as the others followed her, "Who and what are you?" Alyssa said,
"Silence, Golden Angel, We are the Silence. And Silence will fall." the Silence said. As Alyssa stood up and turned to the others,
"Let's go." She said before she pushed through the others again and to the Tardis,
"Alyssa?" the Doctor said, as the others entered the Tardis, River carrying the spacesuit. "How long have you known about this? When was the moment you knew?"
"Spoilers, Doc," Alyssa whispered as she piloted the Tardis back to the warehouse.
They put the spacesuit on the alien device as they looked through it. "It's an exoskeleton. Basically, life support. There's about twenty different kinds of alien tech in here." River said as she looked inside,
"Who was she? Why put her in here?" The Doctor said
"You put this on, you don't even need to eat. The suit processes sunlight directly. It's got built-in weaponry and a communications system that can hack into anything." River said,
"Does that include a telephone network?" Alyssa asked,
"Easily." River nodded,
"But why phone the President?" The Doctor said,
"Probably because the President is the highest authority to find." Alyssa said, and River nodded,
"It defaults to the highest authority it can find. The little girl gets frightened, the most powerful man on Earth gets a phone call. The night terrors with a hotline to the White House." River said
"What are the Silence doing, raising a child?" The Doctor asked,
"Keeping her safe, even giving her independence." River said,
"The only way to save Amy is to work out what the Silence are doing." The Doctor said, and Alyssa closed her eyes
"This would be so much easier if I could just tell you what I know." Alyssa said, rubbing her face,
"But you can't," River said, giving Alyssa a pointed look,
"I know." Rory said as the Doctor walked by him,
"And every single thing we learn about them brings us a step closer." the Doctor said,
"We get it, Doctor," Alyssa said, annoyed,
"Of course, it's possible she's not just any little girl." The Doctor said,
"She's human, however..." Alyssa muttered,
"Well, I'd say she's human, going by the life support software." River said, agreeing with Alyssa,
"But?" The Doctor said, and Alyssa looked at River,
"She climbed out of this suit. Like she forced her way out. She must be incredibly strong." River said,
"Incredibly strong and running away. I like her." The Doctor said,
"We should be trying to find her." River said,
"But How?" Alyssa said,
"I have the strangest feeling she's going to find us." The Doctor said,
"Apollo 11, this is Houston. How do you read? Over." A voice from a television said, and the Doctor walked over to the television.
"Why does it look like a NASA spacesuit?" Rory asked,
"Camouflage, A tool? Could be anything." Alyssa said,
"Because that's what the Silence do. Think about it. They don't make anything themselves. They don't have to. They get other life forms to do it for them." The Doctor said,
"So they're parasites, then." River said,
"Of course they are." Alyss said,
"Super Parasites, standing in the shadows of human history since the very beginning. We know they can influence human behavior any way they want. If they've been doing that on a global scale for thousands of years." The Doctor said,
"Then what?" Rory asked,
"Why did the human race suddenly decide to go to the Moon?" Alyssa said,
" Ten, nine. Ignition sequence start. six, five, four" someone started counting down until the rocket launched,
"Because the Silence needed a spacesuit." the Doctor said,
"One, zero. All engines running. Liftoff. We have a liftoff. Thirty-two minutes past the hour, liftoff on Apollo 11." The voice from the television said before the rocket launched. They continued investigating before the Doctor's device beeped as a message came in, and the Doctor played the video, and the Silence they had held captive voice rang through it. "You should kill us all on sight." and Alyssa smiled as she looked back at the spacesuit and backed up as the suit twitched,
"Help me, Doctor." Amy, through the Nano Recorder, said,
"This suit, it seems to be repairing itself. How's it doing that? Doctor, a unit like this, would it ever be able to move without an occupant?" River said, an
"Why?" The Doctor said,
"Well, the little girl said the spaceman was coming to eat her. Maybe that's exactly what happened." River said,
"Why would a little girl be willing to enter a spacesuit?" Alyssa said as she looked at River, "she wouldn't, so you would have to have some way to force her."
"I love you. I know you think it's him. I know you think it ought to be him, but it's not. It's you. And when I see you again, I'm going to tell you properly, just to see your stupid face. My life was so boring before you just dropped out of the sky. So just get your stupid face where I can see it, okay? Okay?" Amy's voice said through the Nano recorder
"She means you, Rory," Alyssa called out, as the Doctor and she walked over, and the Doctor sat by Rory.
"She'll be safe for now. No point in a dead hostage." The Doctor said,
"Can't you save her?" Rory said
"I can track that signal back. Take us right to her." the Doctor said,
"Then why haven't you?" Rory said
"Because what are we supposed to do then? The Silence didn't just arrive here suddenly. They've been here for a while." Alyssa said,
"They live here. This is their empire. This is kicking the Romans out of Rome." the Doctor said,
"Rome fell." Rory said,
"I know. I was there." the Doctor said,
"So was I.," Rory said,
"Personal question." The Doctor said,
"Seriously, you?" Rory said
"Rory, don't be rude,"
"Do you ever remember it? Two thousand years, waiting for Amy? The last Centurion." the Doctor said,
"No."
"I haven't even been there yet, Rory, and I still know you are lying." Alyssa said,
"Of course, I'm lying." Rory said,
"Of course you are. Not the sort of thing anyone forgets." The Doctor said,
"But I don't remember it all the time. It's like this door in my head. I can keep it shut." Rory said
"It's better that way, Rory, to keep memories behind a closed door? It keeps even the greatest people sane." Alyssa said, and the Doctor looked at her sadly,
"Please, please, just come and get me. Come and get me." Amy said as the Doctor and Alyssa got up,
"Doctor, its time we go," Alyssa said as she looked at the Television
"Are you sure?"
"Of course, I'm sure. Let's go get Amy," Alyssa said, and the four went into the Tardis. And they tracked the signal leading to Amy back and landed the Tardis at where she was. The Doctor walked out,
"Oh, interesting. Very Aickman Road. I've seen one of these before. Abandoned. I wonder how that happened? Oh, well, I suppose I'm about to find out. Rory, River, Alyssa keep one Silent in eyeshot at all times." The Doctor said as Alyssa, River, and Rory stepped out of the Tardis. Alyssa and River already having their guns out, "Oh, hello. Sorry, you were in the middle of something. I just had to say, though, have you seen what's on the telly?" The Doctor said, as he walked farther into the room and placed down the television in front of Amy, "Oh, hello, Amy. Are you all right? Want to watch some television? Ah. Now, stay where you are." as the Silence began to advance on him, "Because look at me, I'm confident. You want to watch that, me when I'm confident. Oh, and this is my friend Alyssa, you know her better as the Golden Angel. Beautiful hair, clever, has her own gun, and unlike me, she really doesn't mind shooting people. I shouldn't like that. Kind of do, a bit."
"Thank you, sweetie." Alyssa said as she made her way over to him,
"I know you're team players and everything, but she'll definitely kill at least the first three of you." The Doctor said,
"That little confidence in me, Doctor? I can take on the first seven easily." Alyssa said,
"Seven? Really?" The Doctor said,
"Oh, eight for you, dear." Alyssa said,
"Stop it." The Doctor said,
"Make me." Alyssa said as they were now back to back,
"Yeah? Well, maybe, I will." The Doctor said,
"Is this really important flirting? Because I feel like I should be higher on the list right now." Amy said, making Alyssa blink,
"Sorry, Amy." She muttered as Rory got to Amy and started tugging on the straps keeping her from moving,
"Yes. Right. Sorry. As I was saying, my naughty friend here is going to kill the first three of you to attack, plus him behind, so maybe you want to draw lots or have a quiz." The Doctor said, "Or maybe you could just listen a minute. Because all I really want to do is accept your total surrender, and then I'll let you go in peace. Yes, you've been interfering in human history for thousands of years. Yes, people have suffered and died, but what's the point in two hearts if you can't be a bit forgiving, now and then?" The Doctor said before he walked over and was face to face with the Silence, "Ooo, the Silence. You guys take that seriously, don't you? Okay, you got me. I'm lying. I'm not really going to let you go that easily. Nice thought, but it's not Christmas." The Doctor turned away from the Silence and walked back to the television and started messing with it, "First, you tell me about the girl. Who is she? Why is she important? What's she for?"
"And we're getting a picture on the TV." A voice said from the TV
"Guys, sorry, but you're way out of time. Now, come on. A bit of history for you. Aren't you proud? Because you helped." The Doctor said as he adjusted the television, "Now, do you know how many people are watching this live on the telly? Half a billion. And that's nothing because the human race will spread out among the stars. You just watch them fly. Billions and billions of them, for billions and billions of years, and every single one of them at some point in their lives, will look back at this man, taking that very first step, and they will never, ever forget it." He said as he turned back to the Silence,
"Okay, engine stop. ATA on the descent. Modes control both auto. Descent engine command off." A man said through the TV. The Doctor turned and looked at the television as he brought out his phone.
"Oh. But don't forget this bit." The Doctor said as he rose the phone to his ear. "Ready?" he asked, and he got an affirmative from Canton.
"That's one small step for a man." Armstrong said before the image warped to a Silence,
"You should kill us all on sight." The Silence said, and Alyssa let out a smirk,
"You've given the order for your own execution, and the whole planet just heard you." the Doctor said as the Silence repeated the phrase on the TV
"You should kill us all on sight." The Silence said once more before turning back to Armstrong on the moon.
"One giant leap for mankind." He said,
"And one whacking great kick up the backside for the Silence. You just raised an army against yourself, and now, for a thousand generations, you're going to be ordering them to destroy you every day. How fast can you run? Because today's the day, the human race throw you off their planet. They won't even know they're doing it. I think, quite possibly, the word you're looking for right now is oops. Run! Guys, I mean us. Run." The Doctor said as lights started flashing around them as the Silence got ready to attack them; Alyssa and River instantly started firing at the Silence around them.
"I can't get her out!" Rory called,
"Go. Go." Amy said, telling him to leave without her,
"We are not leaving without you." Rory said,
"Look, will you just get your stupid face out of here." Amy said as the Doctor rushed over with his screwdriver,
"Run! Into the Tardis, quickly." Alyssa called out as the Doctor got Amy free, and Rory rushed her into the Tardis. And The Doctor used his screwdriver on the Silence,
"Don't let them build to full power." The Doctor called out,
"I know. There's a reason why we are shooting, dear. What are you doing?" Alyssa called out,
"Helping." the Doctor answered,
"You've got a screwdriver. Go build a cabinet." River said,
"That's really rude." The Doctor said, a
" Shut up and drive." Alyssa said, and the Doctor rushed into the Tardis as Alyssa and River continued firing at the Silence, before they all fell down dead.
"The Doctor didn't see that, did he? He gets ever so cross." Alyssa muttered as she turned around to face Rory, who was staring at River,
"So, what kind of doctor are you?" he asked,
"Archaeology. Love a tomb." River said as she and Alyssa took out their guns once more and fired at the last remaining Silence. Before the two walked into the Tardis. Alyssa rushing over to the Tardis to help the Doctor pilot the Tardis away River joining in.
"You can let me fly it." The Doctor yelled,
"Yeah, or we could go where we're supposed to." Alyssa said,
"What's the matter with you?" Amy said as she walked over to where Rory was,
"You called me stupid." Rory said,
"I always call you stupid." Amy said,
"No, but my face." Rory responded as Amy brought up his hand and opened it to reveal the Nano Recorder,
"I wasn't sure who you were talking about. You know, me or" Rory said, trailing off looking back at the Doctor
"Him?" Amy said,
"I did tell him it was Rory you meant Amy!" Alyssa called out
"Well, you did say dropped out of the sky." Rory said,
"It's a figure of speech, moron." Amy said before she kissed him,
"Thanks." Rory said after they broke apart,
"You're welcome." Amy said before they kissed again, and the Doctor and Alyssa flew the Tardis back to the White house.
They explained the situation to Nixon, "So we're safe again." Nixon asked
"Safe, no, there are other things in this world that can threaten you, humans and Aliens," Alyssa said,
"But, if you want to pretend you're safe just so you can sleep at night? Okay, you're safe. But you're not really." The Doctor said
"Canton. Until the next one, eh?" Alyssa said as she walked over to him,
"Looking forward to it," Canton said, and Alyssa smiled at him,
"Canton just wants to get married. Hell of a reason to kick him out of the FBI." The Doctor said,
"I'm sure something can be arranged," Nixon said,
"We are counting on you," Alyssa said,
"Er, Doctor. Canton here tells me you're, you're from the future. It hardly seems possible, but I was wondering," Nixon said before Alyssa interrupted him,
"I should warn you he doesn't answer a lot of questions," Alyssa said,
"But I'm a President at the beginning of his time. Dare I ask. Will I be remembered?" Nixon asked
"Of course you are," Alyssa said,
"Oh, Dicky. Tricky Dicky. They're never going to forget you. Say hi to David Frost for me." The Doctor said before he took Alyssa's hand, and they walked back into the Tardis. A headache ripped through Alyssa.
"See you later, Doc," she said before she disappeared once again.
