"Why is this so hard? I am super relaxed and am supper focused that I'm going to float away"

"Listen, woman, I see great potential in you. The same goes for the other shitty guardians…And once you get acquainted with your flame then we will be able to proceed." Squalo was somehow calmly helping me.

"Oh, I have gotten acquainted with my flame alright.." I was sitting cross-legged in the middle of one of the training rooms

"WHAT?! AND WHEN WERE YOU PLANNING ON TELLING ME?!" Squalo was now waving his sword

"You didn't ask!"

"Okay, alright, fine….spit it out already kid"

"I found out last week and apparently the flame is …Orange"

Silence.

Squalo just stood there and looked as if I had grown another head. "Harmony, the Sky-attribute"

"I know I also think there was a biological mistake somewhere… I mean there is zero harmony within me, and I am a hot mess of a person. People don't like me, I don't bring people together I pull them apart. Have you seen the other trainees? They think I'm pretentious just because I like to hang out with you guys."

Squalo didn't say anything for a minute. "Listen don't let this newfound attribute trouble you so much, or let it define you. One does have to live up to their attribute, but not before finding what drives you, or pinpointing your resolution."

"URGH! I know I know! It's just that…. I have only been able to light my ring up under some unpredicted circumstances, and I don't know if I can pull it out on my own"

"What kind of circumstances are those, maybe the simulator will be able to help."

I burst out laughing. "OH Squalo, I don't believe a simulator will help at all. I'm off for some lunch."

I was walking out when Squalo called me.

"Esther. Don't overthink it. The answer may be simpler than you make it out to be. Besides the sky attribute is far more complex, and it sort of suits you well."

'Tony never disappoints! Now Squali said something about the complexity of the Sky flame. I wonder If I will be able to talk to…no, not Xanxus I can't bring myself to talk to him about it. How about Decimo! He looked dependable but a bit shy when he came by a few weeks ago. I wonder if I can pay him or his guardians a visit later…'

"-er! Esther! Hello!" It was one of the other trainees

"Oh, Hi, sorry my mind was somewhere else. What's up!"

"Right, well Nono and Decimo and some guardians just arrived! This is so amazing! Just thought you might want to know and pay your respects" The girl said.

"Fantastic! Heck yeah, that's amazing, this makes everything so much easier saving me a trip. Thanks for the info"

"Wait" She grabbed my arm before I could walk away and gave me a dirty look. "A trip? Seriously slut, isn't enough that you go into bed with the Varia Guardians, and now you are trying to gain favor from the rest of the Vongola? Just how low can you fall? I shouldn't have told you, bitch"

I shook off my arm and gave her a sincere smile, "Thank you, Cera"

"It's Ella!" Ella got close to my ear to whisper, "But whatever, do what you want, the only bed I care about is Xanxu's, he is such an amazing fuck. Not that you will ever know."

I gave her another smile and walked away.

Reaching the main conference room and hoping to catch Decimo and maybe schedule a visit, instead I saw my parents talking with some other Vongola guardians as if they were good ol' pals.

"Mom, dad?" I looked at them quizzically "Why didn't you tell me you guys were to arrive today?" My dad smiled at me and gave me a hug, and mom, was about to say something when Nono showed up and spoke up.

"Esther, so nice to meet you." He gave me the warmest smile making me want to hug the old man. "Please join me and Tsuna for a cup of coffee dear Esther."

"Um, the pleasure is all mine, Nono…" I looked at my parents and mom nodded. I smiled back at Nono accepting the offer. Inside Decimo was already set and we also exchanged pleasantries, there was something about him that made me feel relaxed inside. 'Woah, is this what it means to have Sky attribute? They both have a warm and dependent aura around them. Yup, something is definitely biologically wrong with my flame'

After getting some coffee served dad spoke up, but he looked nervous and mom found the mug on her hand more interesting.

"Esther, dear. How are you settling in? Everything good? Any troubles that may want to send you back home?"

"Woah, weird questions. Oh no, my hands are shaking, what is going on?''

Nonchalant I responded that all was great and that my trials were soon, but I was confident. "And I am not sure I will want to go back home anyway, I mean I love you guys but It is time to explore more, you know. I mean even if I don't make it I would like to work with the family one way or another. I like it here''

Dad relaxed just a bit, then it was Nono's time to talk.

"Esther, I am glad that Xanxus is taking good care of you. Now tell me child is it true what I heard this morning, about your Sky-Flame? I know news travel fast and believe me I'm overjoyed to hear this."

'Yes Nono, your son takes good care of my body. As if!'

"Yeah, they travel Superbi fast…" Decimo stifled a laugh and I took a deep breath and relaxed. "Nono, Decimo, thank you for inviting me to join you, but I must ask is everything alright?" I also looked at mom and dad who still seemed nervous.

Mom spoke up giving me a look of...pity? "Esther, throughout your life I'm sure you felt as if your dad and I weren't as present in your upbringing, but let us assure you that everything we have done has been in your best interest. Even if it didn't seem so."

My dad continued what seemed to be a rehearsed speech

"Although we are glad things are working out with Varia, it was never our intent to make you aware of this world, even less for you to join in. So when you told us about your decision, we failed to protect you. We had to make both Nono and Decimo aware of your choice. Even if we all didn't approve, but sometimes you have follow your path of life"

Blushing, wondering what else do Nono and Decimo know about me. "All I do is try to do what feels right. Even if I may question my decisions now and then. My parents sure know how to make a daughter work hard …" I wanted to say more of the shortcomings they have as parents, but I know that mom and dad have their own unique way of showing their affection.

Nono gave me another smile. "Esther, my dear child. I have a feeling you are aware that Elise and Kenji only wanted to show you different ways to lead your life. I must say that I am proud of the young woman you have become, and your personal achievements. I am sure Xanxus welcomes your competence in the organization."

"I am not up to par, yet. I am still disoriented on the complexity of the Sky-Flame."
Thankfully Decimo offered his help whenever he could, if not Reborn could drop by sometime too.
" I truly thank you, and will humbly accept your compliments and guidance. And if I may be so bold and say that I am doubtful we are here to talk about my accomplishments or my drawbacks." Giving them a small smile.

Mom and dad got nervous again, even Decimo seemed tense.

"Esther, Elise, and I have to share something about your past. A big reason why we raised you the way we did. Here open this bag first."

Your mother handed to you a gorgeous Sorrento Box, that had a lovely inlaid marquetry picture on the lid, it resembled a young couple expecting a child, the woman had a single flower on her hair.

"wow this is gorgeous, is similar to the one I have!"

Your father then took out a small box and handed it to you as well. Inside was a key, that would open the Sorrento Box in your hands.
"Esther, open the box when you are alone, will you. Then everything we are about to say will make sense."

"What will make sense?" I was still admiring the box when I heard mom say.

"Esther, Kenji, and I aren't your parents…"

I looked up wondering if I misheard, but dad's eyes were moist, both Decimo and Nono had an unsettled look.

"Wait. What..?"
